    French fries with truffle oil.

We came around lunch time with a reservation. It was quite crowded, so we're glad we had a reservation. We ordered the french fries with truffle oil, Japanese mushroom melody pizza, and the Mentaiko mayo mochi cheese pizza. The french fries with truffle oil did not taste anything of truffle oil, and were not crispy at all. Would not recommend. The mushroom pizza was okay. Nothing noteworthy. The Mentaiko pizza was interesting. All the different toppings included would give you different bursts of different flavors, but it could be pretty salty at times. Service was fast... but unfortunately, not positively. Likely because the restaurant was busy, but they were a bit overeager to clean up our table...even though we were in the middle of eating! For instance, the cutting board from our fries (goodbye, presentation), and the parmesan shaker were oh-so-cruelly parted with our table. Overall, a mediocre experience, especially for the price.

I came here on a Wednesday evening for dinner. I saw on they have daily specials once I walked in to the restaurant. On Wednesday they have $8 off their mentaiko mayo mochi cheese pizza. I came here wanting to try the mentaiko mayo mochi cheese pizza. it has mentaiko, sausage, mayo, potato, cheese, tomato sauce on a thin crust pizza. At first I was skeptical after my first bite since the mentaiko was strong, but overtime the pizza grew on me. The sausage helped balance the flavors of the mentaiko. The mochi acted like cheese which made a nice cheese like pull. Also tried the salmon shimeji spaghetti which has salmon, shimeji mushroom, butter, soy sauce, green onions, fish roe. This pasta dish had a nice umami flavor, a little strong in the salmon flavor, and the sauce was a bit too watery for me, however it was still good. Overall, this was a good experience trying the fusion between italian and japanese food.

Came with a friend and had a pretty good experience. The experience wasn't too bad. The parking situation can be a little tight since it's in a busy shopping center. The restaurant is super narrow and on the smaller side, but not too bad. The food wasn't too bad either. It wasn't super amazing, but was overall just good. I got the orange calpico, which tasted like orange juice with zero hints of calpico, and the takoyaki was definitely not the best. It was just ok. The carbonara, however, was actually really good. The service was just ok as well. There was one server and she was pretty busy between all the tables, so everything just took a while, even just getting a cup of water.

My first visit here was on a Saturday evening with reservations at 6:00pm. We were running a few minutes late and we called the restaurant to let them know. They were really nice and once we got to the restaurant, we were greeted with a friendly smile. We were seated right away. The food we ordered were the takoyaki, meat sauce pasta with tonkatsu, and the mentaiko pizza. For drinks, I had the strawberry calpico cocktail and my partner had the sangria. My drink was very refreshing. My partner said that his sangria was ok, it was kinda watered down for his taste. The takoyaki was just ok for me. I thought the presentation was interesting. It did make me reminisce about my recent trip to Japan. My favorite dish was the meat sauce pasta with katsu. The meat sauce was very flavorful and it was paired well with the katsu. The mentaiko pizza didn't sit well with me. I think I would have liked the pizza better without the mentaiko. Overall, great presentation and amazing flavors. I would definitely come back with friends and family to try other dishes.

This is cute little Italian-Japanese fusion place in Santa Clara. It may sound like an odd fusion, but many of the flavor work well together. The front of the restaurant looks like a cottage with white picket fence and an archway. There are a few tables out in front. Inside is cute as well with a row of tables and a single table in a little nook area, which is where my girlfriends and I were seated. We came on a Friday just as they opened at 5:30 pm and we stayed until closing. We never felt rushed nor pressured to leave. We didn't realize this, but they have daily specials, and on Fridays if you arrive before 6pm, everything is 10% off. Check out their website of discounts for the other days of the week. When I visited Japan a few years ago, I noticed there were a lot of Italian restaurants, which served Italian style dishes with a Japanese twist. This is what La Casa Mia reminds me of. Because one of our friends is vegetarian, we stuck to mostly vegetarian dishes, but I'd love to come back and try more of their seafood dishes, like Uni pasta and Salmon Shimeji Spaghetti. However, their vegetarian dishes were very good. What we got: + Baguette Slices - toasted baguette slices with a whipped butter spread (kinda like cream cheese but creamier) + Edamame (Garlic and Spicy) - good heat but not overwhelming + Japanese Mushroom Melody Pizza - this was my favorite dish. The crust is thin and is topped with mozzarella and 3 different types of mushrooms. The mushrooms were plentiful and so delicious. + Vegetable Pomodoro (Vegan) - simple pasta with tomatoes and zucchinis. Nice and tomato-y. + Seafood Pescatore - Bianco - they have 2 versions of this, one with red sauce and one with wine sauce. This had plenty of seafood, but the flavor overall was a bit bland. Didn't really taste the wine sauce, and I thought maybe I tasted soy sauce?? Regarding the pasta dishes, the menu says "Chose from fresh pasta or Udon noodle (plus $2)". Now that I read this again, I'm not sure if the "plus $2" applies to just the udon option, or for either fresh pasta or udon. Reason I'm wondering is the pasta dishes we had didn't seem like fresh pasta because it was very al dente, whereas fresh pasta is usually softer. But it could have been fresh, and I should have asked for clarification. Overall, a cute place for unique Italian food that is reminiscent of Japan.

A very interesting Japanese Italian fusion restaurant that has quite good food! The Seafood Pescatore - Rosso was our favourite dish - a classic seafood pasta dish with a generous portion of seafood and good sauce. As expected, the pasta was al dente. We got the fusion Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza. It was definitely an interesting experience. Personally, I didn't really like the texture of the mochi within the pizza itself, but it grew on me the more I ate it, and the flavours were definitely on point. The Tuna Sashimi Carpaccio was good overall, with the fresh fish and good sauce, but I'd say it's not worth the price. The only point I would ding it on was that service was not as good. The waiters/waitresses were a little unresponsive, and we sat down for a good 15 minutes before any one helped us with waters or taking our orders.

Amazinggg pizza!! Pasta and Takoyaki was super good too! Dare I say best in the bay? Usually not a huge Takoyaki person either, but this one was great amount of octopus and cooked level. A bit hot as it came out but cooled down was perfection! Tiramisu was a bit of a hit for us since it was like 90% cream and a tiny layer of lady finger at the bottom w too much matcha powder :( the pizza tho was amazinggg literally the best!! It has mochi bits and potato as well as Kurobota pork sausage (I believe) don't quote me but it tastes like it! Seafood pasta was good too, sauce was flavorful and generous amount of seafood!! Seating is limited as the restaurant doesn't have the most tables so def would recommend booking in advance at least a day or so online thru open table site! Overall very accommodating and servers check up and food is quick to come to table :) the aesthetics of this place is so cute too!! The Japanese Italian fusion goes really well together!

Went here on an early Sunday afternoon. There was a growing crowd but it was mild enough for my party of 2 to be seated immediately. We ordered the pork katsu meat sauce pasta, carbonara, and a side of garlic fries. Food was average and didn't really stand out to me. Meat sauce pasta felt really dry and the katsu didn't really help. My sibling got carbonara and it was mainly egg-flavored without much ham or bacon, according to him. Upon walking in, it smelt like being in the restroom and I don't mean in a chemical-cleaner kind of way. It was hard to dine in and enjoy my food due to that. Overall, I have very mixed feelings about my experience other than that it was awesome how there wasn't a wait for walk-in on a weekend.

Drink/Food: Orange Calpico, Berry Yakult, Mentaiko Pizza, Seafood Pescatore - Bianco, Matcha Tiramisu Price: $8 for the drinks | $28 | $23 | $8 Overall: I love Japanese Italian so I knew that I had to try out this spot and have a girls hang out here. The interior is very cutesy and neat. We came right when it open so there was no wait. We shared the Mentaiko Pizza and Seafood Pasta which were both delicious. The Mentaiko Pizza was very addicting with the mochi and sausage on top. The drinks were also great with came with a heart filled with syrup. At the end of the meal, we shared the matcha tiramisu; can't complain about matcha now! I'll be coming back whenever I'm craving Japanese Italian food!

I have tried the other location in Milpitas and loved it so I wanted to take a friend to this location that was more convenient to us at the time. First of all parking lot is huge. I love that I do not have to fight for a parking space. lol The restaurant is super cute. Small, but plenty of seats. We were seated by the window on the loft are so I was very comfy. We got the pizza with mochi, uni pasta, some desserts and drinks. What I missed from the other location is the colab with the Los Gatos bakery that had the kabocha burned cheesecake. Sooo good. Now how is it? Pizza- Thin crust, like a flat bread, still delicious. I love the little morsels of stretchy and chewy mochi. Didn't ever think of putting mochi on pizza. Pasta- I just wish I had a bigger serving because I inhaled this dish. Creamy, umami, all dente pasta. Nothing to hate. Desserts - The parfait was good but the matcha tiramisu was okay. Still enjoyed them. Overall fun experience and good food. Staff was also very attentive.

Weekday deals available for lunch and dinner! A fusion of Japanese and Italian food. Although we not have reservation for 7pm Tuesday weekday, they were able to accommodate us. Ordered an eggplant Parmesan ($16), salmon shimeji ($22), meat sauce with katsu cutlet ($27). Weekday deals, so I got a yogurt berry which is under the soft drink section (reg $8, Tuesday deal day is $4). I liked my dish my salmon shimeji, a lot of umami flavor. The roe goes well and gives it som salty taste. The meat sauce with katsu has a lot of meat. I think the sauce did not need the meat since katsu would complement it, the katsu did need more salt. Eggplant parmesan ($16) was good, comes with 3 eggplants with meat sauce and cheese on top, but not sure if it is worth the price. The most fun was the juice eyedropper in yogurt berry drink, tasted sweet and delicious. The restaurant got slightly chilly. The waitress acknowledged that the door was broken. Besides that, the restaurant has unique foods that tasted delicious. In addition, the waitress provided with a matcha tiramisu, super grateful. I'm not sure if it because of the chilliness comment in the store or end of the day, but I tipped more. Matcha tiramisu was okay, more of a tiramisu cake.

Not as amazing as I remembered it being, but still good! I made a same-day dinner reservation at La Casa Mia. The space wasn't packed when we arrived, but the restaurant is also quite small. The decor inside was minimal, with light blue and teal accents. Service was friendly and efficient. My partner and I each ordered our own pasta - Uni Pasta for me, Bacon Peperoncino Spaghetti for him - and the Tofu Skin Pizza to share. The pizza came out super fast, and was more like a flatbread. I liked the tofu but I feel like it needed some kind of sauce on the pizza, not just the super salty soy dipping sauce. Our pasta dishes were also good, but not mind-blowing. I liked the uniqueness of the Uni Pasta and the flavors generally worked together. However, the pasta was a little overcooked for me and it's not a dish I'm dying to eat again ASAP. Overall, I love the fusion concept of La Casa Mia but feel like the execution was better last time!

I came here with my friend and we love this place! I'm glad that we are able to make a reservation ahead of time and don't have to wait! We shared our entrees and had leftovers at the end of dinner! The items are very filling! Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza(9/10): When I saw sausages, I was a little hesitant because I usually don't like sausages on my pizza. I'm glad that they used these type of sausages because I feel like the smoked flavor works well with the dish! The mochi gives the pizza a nice chewy texture and the potato also adds a nice texture! I wish there was more mentaiko, but other than that, it was quite delicious! Salmon Shimeji Spaghetti(9/10): I really liked that they used angel hair pasta for the dish. I think it works well giving the dish a nice full look. The sauce clung nicely onto the pasta and the other items in the dish! The fish eggs give a nice popping texture and a salty taste to the mild dish! I do wish they would give a little more pieces of salmon and mushroom. Service(10/10): They sat us immediately and gave us our menu. They were very friendly and checked up on us every now and then. Everything was quick and I really liked their service. Overall, I really enjoy this place and can't wait to try their other items!

The curry broth and the plant based meat were well seasoned and the yuzu gave the dish a nice citrus kick. I love spicy food and usually feel like ramen is not spicy enough, but this was the perfect level. Noodles were tasty and there was a good noodle to soup ratio. My friend gave the Kiwami Tonkotsu a 4/5 and said it could be a bit more flavorful. She tried some of my Kiwami Vegan and said she would order that next time instead Overall, amazing vegan ramen! Being a broth lover, I can assess the authenticity of a ramen place by tonkotsu broth. And this place really does an excellent job in delivering a savory fatty bowl of tonkotsu ramen. I also added duck breast to mine. $6 for 4 pieces of duck breast is actually no bad of a deal, especially considering the quality of the duck breast slices. They were not super thick, but got enough bite in there for you to enjoy the texture of the duck meat. It was not overdone and did not lead to a less than desired rough sandy texture. Rather, it was possibly slightly undercooked. The skin was intact and the fattiness from duck skin just brought so much joy to every bite. I savored every bit of that in silence. Service was good, servers were attentive enough. Make sure to go in and put your name down on the tablet device. Do not wait outside "in a line" cuz they only call people by the tablet.

First, I made a reservation on yelp but forgot to mention it to my friends. I was the second to arrive and my friend was already seated so I joined her. Later the server came by asking if we had a reservation which I said I did, then she complained in Chinese to my friend "I asked you earlier and you had said No. I had set up the table for it already". I found it pretty rude since the restaurant was half empty and just because she had the utensils and water out, shouldn't be a big deal. My second issue is that I ordered explicitly with "no wasabi and no green onions". Then, of course my sushi roll came with full of green onions on top. I said "I asked for no green onions" and the server said "but this is already made", expecting me to just accept it as is. My friends all heard me clearly ask when I ordered too. I said firmly that I would like it remade, which then they brought it back and I saw the original server who took the order glare at me and gestured towards me. This was ridiculous treatment. The food was not good either. I tried the Salmon Lover Roll ($17) and Sake Nigiri ($8). The salmon nigiri was a joke because as you can see from the photo it was tearing and falling apart. It was also cut so thick which just felt very unrefined. Thicker fish is good to a degree but it was too extreme and made me think it was due to lack of skill from the sushi chef. The salmon roll was not great either because the salmon skin in the middle was coated so much I just tasted the coating and not the fish anymore.
