    Salmon ikura bowl

Solid spot to grab drinks and food w friends / family! Got two beer towers, sake, and everyone got their own dishes. Service was quick and space was spacious. I really loved the modanyaki - noodles crisped up nicely and unagi was very yummy. Salmon ikura bowl tasted very fresh and had so much ikura. I'd definitely come back to try more of the dishes!

Placed an order for takeout pretty close to when the had opened for the day. Server was kind and informative. Offered me a drink while I waited for my food to be ready. As it got a bit closer to lunch time the lunch crowd started to show up. Restaurant has a kind of modern vibe and seems like it'd get really busy. My food was ready in about 20 min and packaged nicely so it'd survive the trip home. Cooked really well and super tasty. Will likely be back!

My SO loves Fugetsu and suggests it ad a choice frequently. I realized that everytime I have come by, most of their food had been sold. Today was the first time I saw all the food was stocked up and I had so many options. Their food is a good deal for most of them and I was perusing until I selected the Saba Shio Bento. The fish, croquette and karage are pretty delicious and the price is decent. They also have an extensive amount of gifts and cute items to get ~

This place has really good okonomiyaki! The flavors and taste of the Negi Tsukimi pork was really well done. It was also cool to see the many other options for okonomiyaki that they offered. Their menu was quite extensive besides just okonomiyaki as well, with a range of Japanese cuisines. The service is quick despite the disclaimer that okonomiyaki could take 20-30 mins, probably just depends how busy it is! The vibe was also pretty cool with the interior design and they had plenty of space for different party sizes. Note: the only slightly inconvenient part of this place was just finding it. It's inside or apart of the Rokko restaurant which you can see on the street in the sign in the building. But if you find that then you have also found Fugetsu.

I got takeout so I can't speak on the vibes in the restaurant. We placed the order over the phone and it was ready in 15 mins. It was a quick in and out to pick up and pay for the food. We got the Pork Okonomiyaki with the noodles. I think the food was pretty good, the noodles could have been better. They were really hard and not chewy but the flavor was there. The okonomiyaki was really good, super saucy (which we like). The two of us shared 1 okonomiyaki and it was a perfect portion. They even cut it in half which was great. We took it to a local park to eat and it was still very hot and very delicious. I would definitely come back and try their other flavors but maybe not get the noodles again.

Food - 5/5 Their yaki onigiri was really good with right balance of crispness on the outside with rice and ume on the inside. I love that they give the pickle cucumber as side which I have not seen any other restaurants provide. Their miso soup is tasty too as well as the salad and agedashi tofu. My spouse had their Okonomiyaki which was pretty good. Service - 5/5. Very courteous and quick service. The waitress also gladly gave me extra pickle side (to my surprise!). Ambiance - 5/5. Cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Will come back again for sure!

Okay, I get it now. Two restaurants in one - Fugetsu and Rokko. We were definitely there to have Okonomiyaki (and modanyaki - the version with yakisoba noodles). We got the deluxe modanyaki, the unagi Okonomiyaki, the takoyaku with negi mayo, and the chicken katsu with negi mayo soy. The unagi Okonomiyaki has lots of unagi! All the dishes were great - really filling. We came for lunch so had time to walk off the meal.

Came here for lunch a couple times over the past month to meet up with friends. On the last occasion the two of us split two dishes: * Hamachi Jalapeño Carpaccio * Okonomiyaki sampler The hamachi tasted very fresh and the complement of jalapeño, tomatoes and onions gave it refreshing and layered flavor. The okonomiyaki sampler was effectively 1 regular size okonomiyaki but with each quarter being a different flavor. I don't recall what the flavors were called, but tbh, they don't taste that different from one another imo. If you like okonomyaki, like I do, I think this is a great choice; especially if you're going to share with the table. With Fugetsu being so conveniently located near the office, it's likely I'll be going back before long, especially when I have an okonomiyaki craving.

Food 4/5 If you're craving okonomiyaki, this is the spot! Although their portion for Okonomiyaki is quite small (see picture). Food is standard, nothing too crazy. Service 5/5 Waiters are attentive and we got seated right away when they opened. Ambiance 4/5 The usual ambiance for a sushi/japanese place. It is more spacious compared to other Japanese restaurants.

The only place I know of to get okonomiyaki in the area, so I can't complain. Not as good as my favorite spot in Tokyo, but it will have to do. I wasn't hungry enough for a modern which means a layer of yakisoba. That's an option for next time.

If you've got an okonomiyaki craving then this place will hit the spot for sure. - we got the cheese and pork one, and another beef one with yakisoba noodles on top - overall taste and flavors were pretty solid and the portions are large - tip: it takes ~25 minutes for the okonomiyaki to come out so keep that in mind when ordering! - this place is also in another restaurant but you can order from both! - service was fairly solid although a friend had to ask for water a few times

I don't think there's a lot of places in the Bay to grab okonomiyaki, and I definitely didn't expect to find Fugetsu inside another restaurant? Shoutout to the tips in other reviews saying Fugetsu's menu is being served at Rokko! I got the regular seafood okonomiyaki not knowing there wouldn't be any noodles in it because I'm that bad at reading the menu...oops. The okonomiyaki was still good though, and it had the saucy richness you want after a long day. The deluxe okonomiyaki was definitely better thanks to the egg and pork belly! Pork belly was flavorful and nicely crispy on the edges. Service was decent, and you can tell this is the kind of place you go to for drinks and shareable plates. Overall, okonomiyaki was enjoyable!

I've grabbed item from their grab and go location in San Jose many times so I was excited to try the items fresh. Honestly, it tasted very similar to the grab and go, which isn't bad. It just means they are consistent. I was hoping that it would taste even better fresh though. Everything is on the softer side, if you like it more crispy, then you might not enjoy it as much. However the flavor is very good and the service is nice. There are not many okonomiyaki places around so this is nice if your craving it.

But when I saw that this far-from-ubiquitous chain had opened an outlet right near my home, I figured I'd try it. And I was pretty satisfied. First off, they have a lunch special, which is smaller than their regular combo. Second, you get two out of a choice of half a dozen shellfish: I picked clams, which are really easy to get the meat out from the shell, and crawfish, which aren't so difficult to extract the tail meat (the only edible part worth the trouble) from either. Comes with potato and/or corn. Third is that the food comes with not only a bib and a towelette, but clear plastic gloves. I put these on and felt no difficulty in eating off them, and they did keep my hands clean. I like that. Although there are two levels of spiciness below "mild," I found the mild to be not too spicy, and the Cajun seasoning was delicious, worth scooping up in my gloved hands after I'd finished the seafood. Not too large a meal - maybe next time I'll have a full combo - but tasty. Attentive service - someone was watching to see when I was done, and came over right afterwards.

They're good, but not the best I've had. With my combo 1, I got head-on shrimp and clams with the atomic sauce and mild spice. I heard the atomic was a combination aka Whole She-bang etc. which is what I normally get from seafood boil places. It was ok, nothing too special, very chunky sauce with lots of garlic. The mild spice, however, was really more like a medium spice as it only took a couple of shrimp to really feel it. For my head-on shrimp, most of the shrimp heads were already like detached from the body which defeats the entire purpose of it. They were also on the small side which I know it's by the pound but it's noticeable. It was very underwhelming in terms of that. The clams were good, not much to say about those other than they were absolutely drenched in the chunky sauce. Overall, this place is ok. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other seafood boil places.

There is an entire lot reserved for restaurants next door and the plaza that it's in is packed to the brim. Definitely come early or risk circling the lot. Outside of the parking, the space inside is accommodating. There is lots of room for large parties. I will say service was a little scattered brained when we ate here though. They forgot one of our orders and we had to flag them down, a few times to get it to us. To add onto this we were the first two parties here so it maybe was just the staff warming up. As for the food, they gave us amazing amounts of banchan and their portions are generous. You could ask for more banchan if you enjoyed something but with all the food we had we didn't need more. My personal favorite dish was the marinated crab. We got the soy sauce one and it was a joy to eat. The meat was soft, juicy, and squeezed right out of the shell. Highly recommend trying this. One final note however, Master Oh's is a bit on the expensive end for something I felt like should be a standard meal. It wasn't a problem for us but it maybe something to consider if you're looking to dine on a budget. Overall would come back.

It was actually the perfect group to test it. One of us had marinated crab in Boston and loved it, another tried it in Busan and wasn't a fan, and I was a complete first timer. We ordered the Soy Sauce Marinated Raw Crab, Beef Short Rib Soup, and the summer special Hwe Naengmyeon (Spicy Cold Raw Fish Mixed Noodle). The restaurant is spacious, and seeing that most of the customers were Korean definitely gave us high expectations. Service was friendly and our food came out in about 10-15 minutes. The raw crab came with a bowl of rice, quail egg, fish roe, roasted seaweed, seaweed salad, and pickled daikon. My friend mixed everything together for us like a pro. Soy marinade was well balanced, the crab had a soft, jelly-like texture and tasted really fresh, not gimmicky at all. My friend who didn't enjoy this dish in Korea actually ended up liking this version, and my other friend even said it was better than the one she had in Boston. As for me, I really enjoyed trying it for the first time. That said, it's definitely an acquired taste and probably not for everyone. If you're not ready to eat raw crab, I'd actually recommend trying the soy marinade with soft tofu or boiled eggs first because the sauce itself is delicious. The Beef Short Rib Soup came with tender meat, but the broth was just okay. Not bad, just not something I'd order again. The Hwe Naengmyeon, on the other hand, was really refreshing. It definitely had a spicy kick, the noodles were soft yet chewy, and the raw fish had such a unique texture that I honestly don't know how to describe it. Served cold with fresh veggies and half a boiled egg, it was perfect for a hot day. Also, banchan were delicious and free refill, our favorite was the Konjac noodle mayo salad and Gyeran Mari (Korean Egg Roll). Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try soy marinated raw crab, and I can definitely see myself ordering it again. Such a fun first experience, and I'll be back to explore more of the menu.

For seafood boil sauce, we opted for the cajun instead of lemon pepper. I wasn't sure if I would finish everything, but it was INHALED. I really like the seafood quality here, but sauce-wise, I prefer Cajun Bistro for the garlic butter sauce. Cap't Loui does not offer that sauce, but it was still delicious overall. Sure enough we met at the PC off Mathilda in Sunnyvale. This neighborhood sure has grown. Kal's BBQ was still there, my food service account about 20 years ago. I found the PC and parked in the multi level garage just behind the restaurant. Still an early dinner time at 5:15ish, I sat at the to wait and pursue the menu. Now I've eaten several times at the Mountain View location and enjoyed it very much. This spot, well seemed kind cold, empty and I was not approached in the 10 or so minutes I sat at the bar...menu's changed. Smaller or fewer offerings, ok keep focused on what you do well, cut some costs works for me. The kids showed up, still nobody So I grabbed three menus and sat us along the wall at a four top. The server came right over once we sat and we were good. Beverages were ordered and I had decided on the Seafood and chips with cole slaw and a dinner salad. A ordered two sushi roll plates. Aa ordered something but I don't remember. The food was out in good time, I was disappointed that my salad hadn't arrived before my entree....oh well. The salad had the house dressing, I typically ask for the dressing that is house made, I couldn't hear/understand what dressing she said. Anyway the salad was good, I liked the edamame beans as a topping garnish. The Seafood fish, calamari and coconut shrimp and spicy fries, good Looking further it appeared that the cooking time in the fryer was, well inconsistent. The Coconut shrimp cooked to almost burned which made the shrimp dry, spicy fries just a notch below burned but good. The two battered cod pieces, I'm not sure as the battered crust was not too sturdy and fell off the fish. Then the calamari seemed to be cooked just right, a bit on the lighter side. I still ate it all. I didn't eat the cole slaw, it looked as if it was from a few days ago, dry tasteless. As our table was cleared plate by plate I saw Aa hadn't touched his black beans. Now black beans are a favorite of mind, these were tasteless. Aa looked at me as I finished my bite of his beans and said "I didn't like them either". The vibe was not there as it is in MV, my own sense of things. If I didn't know the franchise I wouldn't return to this location, there's plenty of other places to get an excellent meal. See ya at the next place I drive to...thanks Foodguy-Martin.
