For food we tried the macadamian crusted salmon with tahini sauce with a side of the kimchi fried rice and sesame green beans. This was absolutely delicious and I really loved the sauce on the salmon. The kimchi fried rice and beans/brussel sprout veggies are always a hit so I would recommend those if you can. The mashed potatoes here are also delicious. We also tried the sticky ribs which was an appetizer which was not bad. I did not LOVE the sauce, but it was worth trying. We only come here out of convenience when we don't want to drive anywhere since we live across the street. We were the only pair seated at a tiny table for two while there were several larger tables available and all other pairs were seated at those. Our server was Michelle. We ordered our food, which came on 4 large plates which left us with zero room to eat on the table. We had to take it upon ourselves to combine ours with the next small table. She also named things so fast that we didn't realize she gave us an extra item we didn't order. They also charged us for it. Michelle might have been assigned to too many tables. She didn't check on us once after serving our food, and one of our items we did order was missing. Came here on a Sunday late afternoon for 2. We got seated immediately and restaurant was pretty empty around 3-4 pm. Very big restaurant with lots of seating! Server came and took our order in a timely manner. Only downside is that after our food got served we never got checked up on again. I had to call for the waiter and ask for napkins as we were given none and they said of course yet never came back and gave napkins. The bill took forever to come as well and could never find a waitress to ask for the bill so we could leave. For food, the sushi tacos were a 3/10, very mediocre nothing special and not worth the price. Nothing stood out to me, the sauce was bland, fish was thin, too much rice. For the ahi poke nachos, this was amazing! I rate these. 9.5/10 and the ratio was great. This place always has great tuna poke as I got it last time as well. This is a great place to have a quiet lunch with friends. Not crowded like some other places. Staffs were super friendly and hospitable. We had the typical salad bowls. I've known Pacific Catch for as long as I can remember, so we were happy when they opened in the newly renovated Sunnyvale downtown area. We've been here a couple of times and both visits were consistent with what we expected. Good ambience, good service, and good food. The ingredients tasted fresh and the service was prompt. If you are looking for more authentic flavors and less Americanized food, there are plenty of other solid options, but it's convenient to have Mexican, Asian, and other flavors under one roof. On our recent visit, we tried the Firecracker Salmon sushi, the Mexican bowl with shrimp, and a Modelo Negra to go with it. The flavors were mild, but the meal was enjoyable overall. Came here with my mom on a saturday lunch hour. I ordered fish and chips, my mom ordered their tacos. Super delicious. Our server was super nice and welcoming. The Fish and chips were perfect. If I want cooked, they have the fried or baked fish plates. This location is the one that started my obsession with Pacific Catch. Stopped in recently during the early lunch hour to have a meal with my boyfriend and I was not disappointed. I LOVE seafood and especially during the Lenten season, it's often difficult to find quality fish in a variety of appetizing preparations. This is long overdue. Since moving to the downtown Sunnyvale area a year and a half ago, I've been coming to PC at least 2-3 times a week. Dropped by here after visiting the Target on a rainy day a few weeks ago. Everything was very good, and the service excellent. This was actually my first time at a Pacific Catch, and in some ways, things were exactly what you would expect - good food, good service, nice environment and atmosphere, good value, and good drinks. I didn't get some of the signature dishes - but when I was at the SF Pacific Catch a few days later we did. A couple of interesting or things to note though. The clam chowder was a little different from what I'm used to. I think the clams were better and fresher, and the chowder had a different texture and feel. When our kid saw the chowder he said he wants to eat the congee. And I have to admit - the chowder does kind of look and even taste a little like congee. Which may or may not be a bad thing (depending on preference). One thing that wasn't good was that during the meal we came across a not small piece of bone (or something). But overall everything was great and our server was very attentive so we never brought up the issue. Will come back and in fact did go back (or at least to the SF restaurant). read more
