So definitely no complaints. The venue itself is great, surprisingly kids friendly (lots of games and things to do), food (primarily Mexican) is excellent, beer and alcohol selection superb, probably a really good place to watch San Jose Sharks games and the Caddy Shack photos in the bathroom was a nice touch. Also, I have to add that ahead of the Super Bowl I called and visited a couple of times, and the staff was very helpful. So overall, very happy with the experience and would highly recommend. After just 2.4 years in existence, this place abruptly died on March 31. According to a Mercury News article released that same day, there was a dispute with the landlord arising from the owners' alleged history of not paying rent. Those owners, by the way, knew about the store's impending doom ten days before the fact, yet chose to withhold this knowledge from their employees until the very last day, resulting in 50 people getting blindsided with sudden joblessness. Sounds like this Tipsy Putt was run by some rotten people. Too bad -- the Sunnyvale staff all seemed pretty cool, and I have fond memories of this place. read more

I came to Tipsy Putt for a work event. This is located in downtown Sunnyvale, and I found a nearby parking lot with free four-hour parking. They have a really large drinks menu, including about 8-10 different cocktails, beers on tap, and even a couple of shots. I ordered the guava-rita, which was very good (and very strong)! They also had a variety of non-alcoholic drinks! My work group reserved one of the rooms, which is kind of off to the side, though not totally private or anything. We got a couple of plates of nachos that were fine, and some veggies with hummus. I don't really know what the rest of the menu was like. This seems like a fun place where they have a lot of games and activities. There were signs on the walls about trivia nights and other things. I would definitely come back. Such a fun experience! The mini golf course is pretty straightforward and not overly elaborate/unique, but the venue makes up for it with tons of games and a great drink selection. There are free board games, an arcade, and plenty of other games to keep you entertained. We also tried the nachos -- the guac was a bit on the salty side, but the queso was fantastic. Went here on a Friday night during the game so there were definitely some folks watching on the screens in the bar and seating areas! Perfect place to grab a drink, a bite, and watch sports with your friends. I grabbed a mocktail at the bar and played a round of 1-2 putt-which is their tabletop version of putt putt golf. Loved being able to do a mini phone detox and just focus on something fun after a long week of work. Service at check-in and the bar were both lovely and super easy. Easy fun with a large beer selection and great setting, that just about sums up Tipsy Putt. Pretty conveniently located across from the garages makes this spot easy to pop into for some fun. We did go pretty early on a weekday so we didn't have to worry about a crowd but we would assume this place must get packed on nights and weekends so be prepared for that. We opted to play table golf instead of minigolf and had a great time doing it. It was pretty cheap and about 10 holes of quick, but strategic fun. We also knocked back a few beers while we played through, and man do they have a beer selection, it's gotta be over 50 beers. By the end of our time there we also played some skeeball and hit the punching bag machine and could see how people could just get lost there for hours without needing to even play mini golf in the first place. This is just a very fun place to go to and I'm sure it's even better with a bit of a crowd to add to that energy. read more

A solid mini golfing experience! I've been to some places with very intricate and creative courses. This place is definitely not that - they have very standard structures. I honestly did not feel like the mini golf part of Tipsy Putt was super worth it - it was very pricey for only a few straightforward holes. However, everything else made up for the lackluster golf course. The front desk employees were friendly and thoroughly explained the different activities at the store. There were a couple arcade options, like basketball, and lots of board games. The ambiance is exactly what I wanted out of a mini golf experience - it was relaxed and casual and got quite busy in the evening. The food was surprisingly really delicious! And the prices were reasonable too. I have never had a chicken tikka quesadilla before, and it was flavorful and rich. There was plenty of sides, like guacamole and salsa. The nachos were heaping, full of delicious toppings. There was also a range of cocktails! I would probably come back for everything except the golf course. read more

I'm shocked this one closed down for good due to late rental payments. Luckily, I had a chance to use a discount on mini putt back in January this year. The nachos were delicious, but the lemonade was a bit too sweet. The service was nice and it was fun to play on date night. Unfortunately, my date didn't work out like this business. This indoor mini golf business includes an enjoyable 9 hole course, with some obstacles being kegs. Good vibes overall. The tables are self-seating, so do plan to stake out a location for your group. The counter for beers and other available beverages is also where you order food. You receive a buzzer for when the food is ready. The bar isn't a traditional full bar. There are features cocktails that come from taps on the wall. It's clever. Unless you wanted a cocktail that wasn't available. There is a no-kids time in the evening after 7pm for those who have issues with such. The mini-golf was fun. We were all amused. While I'm old enough to have parties on Murphy Ave when it WAS the Sunnyvale downtown, I dig this new set of giant building complexes (one of which houses Tipsy Putt). My second time at this Tipsy Putt, and honestly the impression was the same. The big plus is that it's an indoor putt that serves food and alcoholic drinks (they do have beers and cocktails but the cocktails are premixed - they all come out of a spout) so there aren't any mixing by bartenders. The indoor putt can be challenging, which is a good thing since there are limited space indoors. There's also a corner with some coin/tap pay operated games like ski ball, punching bag, and basketball (pay per play). It is a good spot for parties and team building though, since they have areas that can be reserved for parties. read more

They are all mostly premade so service can be quick. Food we had was nachos, queso (which was so good, I saw many scraping the last bites of it) , guacamole and salsa. I've been to Tipsy Putt once with some friends. This Tipsy Putt is Downtown Sunnyvale where there is a lot of public parking and it is walking distance to other food options. At the time we went on a Saturday afternoon there were two active promotions: 1) $10 off if you downloaded the app 2) $39 unlimited games and bottomless mimosas until 2pm (we got there a little bit after 12pm) My friends and I, a party of four, took both offers. We played a round of the 1-putt (tablepot mini golf) and a of the normal mini golf. I hadn't played mini golf in a while but it seemed pretty fun. My friend had a bunch of mimosas during the afternoon, I'm guessing the staff didn't make them too strong otherwise people would be way too tipsy to play. There is a separate beer/drink and food menu, we didn't order anything from there so I can't comment on those. There were other groups (some families) and it seemed like one kid's birthday party. We had a good experience: - The mimosas were flowing - The staff were nice - And the golf games had an interesting range of difficulty in the holes, it probably didn't help that my friends and I were drinking the mimosas. First time at Tipsy Putt and had a blast! Great for big groups, we were here for a long time, eating and drinking a little, then played the game, and then ate and drank some more. We started the night with food and drinks before mini golf. The Party Nachos (we got both Chicken Al Pastor and Barbacoa) were flavorful and perfect for sharing. We also tried the Pizza Birria and tacos--everything was really tasty and ideal for a group. There's water available around the corner and plenty of seating, which made it super convenient. They let you sample the beers, which was a nice touch before committing to a full glass! We had a Groupon deal that included a round of mini golf and a drink. They had mini golfing and 1-2 putt. We did 1-2 putt and it was very fun! Drinks-wise, the margaritas were my favorite--I tried both strawberry and guava. Guava was my top pick (less sweet than strawberry). My friends loved the paloma, though it wasn't my favorite. The Mexican Candy shot was a standout--tastes like a watermelon Jolly Rancher! Just a heads-up: these cocktails are super sugary, so a hangover might be waiting if you overdo it. There's also a photo booth--about $8 per session. I had one with mocha in it, and I could taste the alcohol. Definitely stay a while because the drink can hit you. They also have some food options to munch on while drinking. I've been here a few times to play minigolf and the 1-2 putt game and it's fun. It was sometimes busy enough where you had to wait for the group in front of you to finish before you could move to the next section. The games are fun but the courses stay the same, and it's not so exciting where I feel the need to come back regularly to play. Fun indoor mini golf spot in downtown Sunnyvale! Good for a night out with friends since they also serve alcohol. I came here with a friend on a Friday afternoon, so it wasn't busy. The lady working at the front was nice and explained what options we had: regular mini golf vs 1-2 putt. We decided to stick with the regular mini golf, which was $18. FYI they charge a 4% employee benefits fee too. While the 9 courses were fun, they didn't feel that challenging and were a bit plain. It's interesting that they have a variety of clubs to choose from, including some that looked like wedges. The mini golf area is also a bit small. Luckily, it wasn't busy so we didn't feel rushed and replayed some of the courses but I can imagine finishing the course in like 30 min if it were packed. We checked out this spot on a Saturday evening after an early dinner. Free parking is accessible at the parking garage across the street next to Target. Tipsy Putt is located in a great location in downtown Sunnyvale. I believe they have been open for 1 year and a few months now. This was my first time at a Tipsy Putt location. I like the concept of indoor miniature golf and 1-2 putt while enjoying alcoholic drinks. In addition to a full service restaurant along with many TVs airing the games, this definitely is a great place to hangout at. The mini golf courses were ok and simple. Nothing crazy like the Golfland courses. I thought it was cool that they offered a lot of different putters that you can use. We did not get to try the 1-2 putt but it did look interesting. I'll probably try it next time. It looked like the menu had some great food options unfortunately we did not try any of the food. The craft beers selection was solid. Everyone from the bartenders to the front host were friendly and accommodating. Since our son was with us, we were told that after a certain time later, only 21 and over are allowed in the venue. Our family still had time to enjoy the mini golf so that was not an issue. Overall we had a great experience. Came here Sat night with a Groupon deal for a round of mini golf for 2 people and 2 drinks. We paid full price for the food: pub pretzels, pulled pork sliders, chicken tikka quesadilla. The quesadilla was my favorite which surprised me, I would order it again but skip the other 2 items. The pink mocktail I got was lacking but the Groupon made it justifiable. The mini golf was ok, course seemed small but understandable because it's indoors. Just wished it was a bit more exciting. I can see this being a good corporate event space though. The place was about to close as we came in, they are open till 1 but had to close early by 12 due to holiday season and there is no one in the place. But with not knowing little time, we initially purchased the plan for 4 people to play all the games, but had to cancel due to early closure of the place. But if you're flexible and don't mind which hole you play, you can jump into any available one. Each hole is different and fairly short. This place is a great hangout spot whether it's for large groups or for a date. Theres plenty of seating and they have TV as well. This place can definitely get busy with waits up You don't even have to putt. You can just eat and drink here. The tacos were better than expected. At the bars, they sell cocktails, beers, ciders, etc. In regards to the putting courses themselves, they were small and basic. I haven't tried the shuffle board yet.
