Minced pork bean paste noodle with thin round noodles.
    Leslie H.

This place never fails to feed me well! The noodles are chewy and super customizable in size. The only thing I wish was better was their portion size! Too small for my appetite haha. I always consider getting an extra portion of noodles and this time, the extra portion seemed bigger than my original order! Also, the portion sizes don't seem consistent. Service is fast, if a bit brusque and they don't talk to you much. Maybe that's a good thing. But there is usually already a jug of water at the table so you don't really need to ask them for anything.

Lunch date with hubs. Debated between fish soup, ox and Mifen and ended up here. We were in and out in 30 mins. Super fast service. Stewed pork rib noodle soup: 4/5 braised beef was more flavorful. Small round noodles are too thin and ended up being overcooked with a soft texture. Braised beef with Chinese pickles noodle soup: 5/5 big portions and tasty broth. Similar to the one at valley fair. Again small round noodles were too soft. Spicy pig ear: 4/5 good with a nice kick to it. Glad to finally have tried this place!

Came here with some friends at night time and we all left satisfied! Taste: 5/5 stars! Everyone loved their dishes. I personally liked the pork. They let u adjust different ingredients as well! Parking: There's some street parking and plaza parking Service: You order through a qr code and they bring out the food quickly!

凉皮was the best dish by far. Spicy and soy saucy in the best way. Also very chewy IMO could have used vinegar but they have it on the tables The soup noodles were pretty standard flavor wise. The knife cut noodles had fantastic texture though

When the staff speak better Chinese you know it's good. I also appreciate the are English and Chinese menus; you can never tell exactly what it is from the English translation. I can say the noodles are definitely authentic. Some places they have knife cut noodles instead of knife shaved noodles so I was glad they actually had the shaved ones. The broth is flavorful, the meat as well and they didn't skimp out on it. This is the best chain for authentic Chinese noodles I know of. Service is good too. The staff let us know about allergen information, and was helpful when I called ahead. There's cool decorations like a noodle bowl model and cool logos inside, and plenty of seating.

This place has been on my list of places I wanted to try for a while now, and we finally got to try it recently. Overall it was pretty good! You order through your phone and service is pretty fast bringing the food. I got their classic Lanzhou hand pulled noodles with large wide noodles. The broth was very tasty and the noodles had good texture. I felt like the meat was just okay, but I was happy with everything else. It's also fairly small inside and can get busy/cramped, so keep that in mind if you go during busy times. I'd recommend stopping by!

Beef noodle soup with Chinese pickled vegetables 3/5 - this was a bit bland. Broth didn't have much flavor but the beef was tender. I liked the noodles as well Next time I will get their dry noodles. I had a taste and it was really good

    Mala Spicy Beef Noodle Soup

Got here at around 5 PM on a Tuesday night and it was relatively empty, left around 6:30 and if you came in then there still would be no wait time but it did start to get fuller. We tried the Mala Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the Langzhou Handpulled Noodle Soup. The Mala one was ordered with the large flat noodles, which I would highly recommend as they absorb the flavor extremely well. I would recommend asking for a pair of scissors to cut them tho as their a longly connected strong of noodles. Mala flavor was definitely there as well. For the Langzhou Handpulled Noodle Soup, it wasn't as spicy as I would prefer but if you can increase the spice level with the provided chili oil on the table. I got the normal round noodles but I thought they were rather thin, and look to try the medium round noodles next time. There great thing about this place is that it's not crazy expensive, the food comes out in like 10 minutes, and their noodle quality is great! Just have to make sure to order the right things. A solid 4.2 stars for me!

We visited OX9 Lanzhou Handpulled Noodles on a Friday evening, and waited about 10 minutes to be seated outside. The (dog-friendly) outdoor seating didn't have much ambiance, but the interior looked pretty casual too. We ordered a few starters to share between the 4 of us - Cucumber With Garlic Sauce (nice, refreshing), Marinated Cucumber Salad (more of a wasabi flavor), and the Spicy Wontons (couldn't have these, but everyone else loved them). For my entree, I was somewhat limited as a non-pork eater, and chose the Chili Oil Noodles with Braised Beef. These were pretty good, and the beef was especially well-prepared and soft. However, my friends seemed more excited about their dishes, like the Stewed Pork Ribs Noodle. Service was quick and efficient. Overall, good for dinner but probably more exciting if you eat pork.

Lanzhou hand pulled beef noodles with belt flat noodles (no spice)

I kept seeing this place along Downtown Mountain View since its grand opening, and I've been interested in trying this place out. We came by on a chilly evening in December for some much needed warm soup noodles. We showed up by 5:30 on a Sat evening and were seated quickly, but the dinner crowd was emerging when we left the restaurant an hour later. My boyfriend and I both got soup noodles - I opted for the Lanzhou Hand-pulled Noodles (no spice, belt flat noodles) and he got the Braised Beef Stew Noodles (spicy, large flat noodles). Both soups came out fairly quickly. I loved the chew of my belt flat noodles, and it was a good thickness as well. The no spice broth was fairly light overall, but I wish there was more flavor in the broth. Mainly tasted like a very light salted broth overall. My boyfriend's broth was surprisingly not spicy by my tastes, and I have a pretty low tolerance towards spicy foods (for example, hot cheetos is on the upper level of my spice tolerance, and his broth was less spicy than that). If anything, his broth was more flavorful with barely a hint of spice. We weren't sure if it just happened to be the day we showed up or if it was truly intentional, but I guess we'll have to come back to see if that's the case! I mean, I can't get enough of those noodles!

The shop looks underwhelming from outside but i'm glad we went in and discovered a good handpulled noodles place. Self ordering makes it easy since i spend a bit extra time looking up photos of each item. Finally orded 1 dry and 1 soup noodles. Both were delicious. Super flavorful and the portion is insane for the price. Will definitly come back to try more ! The space is quite limited and they also want to maximize the space so it does get very skin-to-skin with other people. I did ask for the table in the corner and they had to problems with :)

    knife cut noodles, not recommended
    Jungmin R.

Unfortunately, this place wasn't for me. 1 star for the knife-cut noodles. The length and width were too inconsistent--the first piece I picked up was as short and fat as a sliced rice cake--and the texture was almost gooey, which made it unpleasant that I couldn't finish. The broth was good but on the lighter side. There weren't many toppings. Their round noodles were good.

Came here last night for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pricing was super affordable and the portions were great. I got the Lanzhou beef noodle soup. The beef tasted wonderful and the noodles were super fresh. I absolutely loved the fried taro balls as it wasn't too sweet. I'd love to come back and try their stir fry noodles next time. Kids loved their food too

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and it was one of those meals where everyone at the table found something they loved. One dish I was surprisingly impressed by was the Ankimo (steamed monkfish liver in ponzu). I'll admit, the word liver immediately made me hesitant, and if they hadn't told me what it was, I probably would've been less nervous trying it. But I'm really glad I did because it was incredibly buttery, smooth, and rich. It almost melts in your mouth, and I honestly think it would pair perfectly with a bowl of steamed rice. We also ordered the Hiyayakko (cold tofu with ginger & scallions), which was a really refreshing starter. The tofu was silky smooth and delicate, and the ginger, scallions, and soy-based seasoning added just enough flavor without taking away from the freshness of the tofu. It was simple, but really well done. We also ordered the Salmon Mayo Yaki Onigiri. While it was good, I think this is the one dish I'd probably skip next time. The crispy grilled rice ball itself was delicious, but there just wasn't enough salmon mayo on top. It felt like I only got a tiny spoonful, so once that was gone, it was mostly just rice. Since my family couldn't decide, we ended up ordering all three clay pots: the Sake Oyako Meshi (grilled salmon & salmon roe), Unagi Meshi (BBQ freshwater eel), and Tori Soboro Meshi (braised ground chicken). Out of all of them, the Unagi Meshi was easily my favorite. The eel was tender, slightly smoky, and coated in a sweet-savory glaze that soaked into the rice underneath, making every bite incredibly satisfying. The clay pots also gave the rice a nice crispy layer on the bottom, which added even more texture. We also shared two of their signature pizzas: the Mentai Kinoko and the Nasu Curry. I wasn't expecting much since it's pizza at a Japanese restaurant, but they were honestly so good. The crust was paper-thin, crispy, and light, so it didn't leave you feeling heavy afterward. The Mentai Kinoko had a great balance of spicy cod roe, snow crab, mushrooms, bacon, and cheese, while the Nasu Curry had a rich curry flavor that paired surprisingly well with the eggplant and cheese. Both were huge hits with my family. The restaurant itself has a warm, traditional Japanese atmosphere that makes it feel cozy and inviting. The server was incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu and recommend dishes when we couldn't decide what to order. Their recommendations definitely did not disappoint. My whole family left happy, and it's one of those restaurants where I already know I'll be coming back to try even more of the menu.

Service: 90 minutes of dining time, the menu is large so it took time to decide what to order and they don't have paper menus anymore which is a little hard to review the small font on the phone. I think they should go back to providing at least 1-2 real menus per table. It was very warm in the restaurant even though they said the AC was on. The food came out relatively fast, but there were some pauses between dishes. The claypot rice took the longest and I was almost full by the time it arrived. Ambiance: casual restaurant, authentic Japanese style where you have to remove your shoes and sit on mats. The restaurant filled up quickly by 7pm. We had a reservation for 6:15pm.

Started off with a pitcher of terra poured into cold glasses. Good selection of drinks and a variety of food. Got sausage and rice skewers. Had a spicy sauce to it and the rice skewers were a fried rice roll. Corn cheese was great and broiled perfectly for a crispy cheese crust. They were also very gracious when our party got a little rambunctious! Love that they are open late. But I really have to be honest about the food. Hits -tofu soup -army stew -sausage & rice cake skewer -kimchi rice (small portion) -sweet potato fries -"garlic" fries - more on the sweet side, the seasoning powder is crack -the apricot soju Needs improvement -Short rib kalbi, for $25 the portion was only 6-8 pieces, also cut thin & quite dry. We ordered three of these and some of it was fine. Good flavor though! -chicken wings, just wasn't crispy -clam soup, the blandest I ever had, no seafood flavor, maybe made with frozen/precooked clams -corn cheese, very oily and tasted like old, stale oil at that Much love to this establishment, we really appreciated everything! Great vibes
