Came for dinner and got lucky with a table opening up right when we got there so there was no wait but it was a full house! Ordering was through qr code. Things came out as they were ready. All the food was delicious. Some were definitely spicier than others but all the flavors were great!

Great, authentic Chinese food! We went on a weeknight and the place was bustling and there were a lot of people! The wait wasn't too bad, we waited for around 10 minutes. The food is authentic. I can taste the wok flavor. The service is decent as well. We ordered online from our phone after scanning the QR code. The food came shortly after. The house dish pork and pepper is 4/5 in my opinion. It was very good and delicious. I could eat three bowls of rice with the pork!

House Special Sauté Pork

Comfort food galore! Dropped by for dinner with a friend ~6:50pm on a Friday. Parking was rough, but there are multiple parking lots around. Given dinner rush on a Friday night, there was a 30-minute wait prior to be seated. What we got: - Pork ear with Chili Oil ~ great starter. Always my go to! Very addictive with its soft crunch. slightly on the oily side, but reasonably garnished with cilantro to balance out. - House special sauté pork ~ presentation was on point! Served on a clay "stove", mini wok, and metal wok spatula, this was a great activity and feast all in one! Slightly on the spicy side from the peppers, but this dish was great! As the pork belly renders out on the heat, this dish does get on the greasier side. - Mapo tofu with minced beef ~ packed full of flavor! Great addition with rice! - Yang Chow fried rice ~ includes spam, egg, and vegetables (peas, corn, etc). A great base to pair with the other dishes. Also very solid as a standalone. - Garlic lettuce ~ a great addition to the table. I'm all for vegetables, especially when paired with garlic! All in all, a great place for a meal. Service was fast and efficient. Nestled in a small strip plaza, this place is very family-friendly. Highly recommend and will return to try other dishes!

Chicken and pork stomach soup

Food arrived quickly. The stinky tofu was perfect; it was black, which I wasn't expecting. And it was also soaked in soup, when I normally expect it to be dry. Chicken and pork stomach soup came in a huge bowl, and I'm always a fan of pork stomach. Garlic veggies were delicious. The Hunan style beef was okay so I'd skip it next time.

The sizzling pot we ordered was really delish and the portion was large enough to serve 2 stomachs. But the line was pretty long that I believe we've been waiting for 1+ hours but that could be a sign that this restaurant is pretty delish and tasty!

Food- house special sautéed pork dish $19.00 and it is 3/4 big jalapeños and small pieces of pork parts ( see picture) $19 is a lot for 16oz plus of jalapeños with a little bit of pork pieces

Pretty solid, getting seated on a Friday was pretty quick. Ordering was easy through their QR code, and the food came out in a timely manner. All the dishes we got were great too! I've always been a huge fan of dry fried green beans and these didn't disappoint. The fried rice was flavorful too. And I really like the pork dish, I was hesitant about the texture of pork but it's soft and easy to eat. Would come back when I'm in the area to try the grilled catfish!

Fried rice 5/5

Food came out hot and service is fast The fried rice (non spicy) is really good The spicy veggie tofu was just ok.. the flavor is nothing special The spicy noodle was ok, the peanut is what makes it special

Mapo tofu

Came here on a weekend night with some family friends. Parking can be limited but you could park across the street next to downtown Sunnyvale. The food is expected to be spicy and it delivers. All the dishes came out fresh and pipping hot. The mapo tofu has the perfect amount of spicy and numbness, and the fish fillet is also very flavorful and spicy. I was surprised by how tasty the soup is, it has a lot of umami, would highly recommend if you are okay with pork stomach in it! The Chinese yam and the string beans are decent. However I did not like the braised pork, it was salty and lacking other flavors and the pork was hard ish (感觉有点老) The atmosphere and decorations inside is very warm and welcoming tho, and the servers are pretty nice and attentive.

Spicy Catfish and green beans

Excellent Chinese! Overall delicious and great ambiance. It was a little more oily than I would have liked but definitely less than other places. We ordered the spicy grilled catfish, sautéed green beans, rice and some drinks. My friend recommended getting the herbal ice tea and it was perfect compliment to the spicy fish. Spicy grilled catfish: the right amount of spice for me. I would say it was medium spicy, enough to feel a burn but not too much you can't taste anything else. I have a medium spice tolerance so some people would say this was more mild spice level. I enjoyed the veggies in the dish and the sauce, although the sauce was a little oily. Also warning there are bones in the fish though not as many as I would have expected. Sautéed green beans with sausage: tasty. The green beans had the perfect texture, with some crunch yet still soft. The garlic added a lot of flavor. I didn't like the sausage, it was too chewy and gamey flavored for me. We got 2 bowls of rice for 3 people and all of this was more than enough food. The servings were quite large. Service: you order from an online menu after scanning a qr code from the table. They quickly came out with the food and everything was pretty efficient. They came around a lot for water refills but generally left us to ourselves which was nice. You have to ask for your check. Ambiance: very nice. Clean and spacious. Every table was filled while we were there but it didn't feel crowded at all. We'll be back to try some of the other dishes too!

Beef griddle
Nancy L.

Food 4.5 - house special sautéed lamb 5/5 - medium griddle w/ beef, mala 5/5 - large griddle w/ frog leg, fish, garlic, not spicy 4/5 - frog was a bit tough, fish was fried but flavor was good I like that their dishes are not oily which is rare to find. We had enough for 6 of us and left over for another meal for 2-3 people. Service 4/5 kept refilling our water Ambiance 3/5 small restaurant with spacious gaps between tables, bathrooms need to be updated and cleaned

Yummy

Yum. Spicy classic Hunan food that can be toned down to your tolerance level--assuming you can tolerate some spiciness. Either way, dishes made well with an abundance of various flavors packed into these classic Hunan dishes. With nice and quick service in this little little cozy restaurant, our dinner meal was quite enjoyable. We ordered plenty of food and left feeling full. I would recommend the eggplant with preserved egg dish, the green beans, and the fried fish. Apologies for not knowing the names as someone in our party took the liberty of ordering everything, but came out yummy. Would visit again!

Beef tongue sizzling pot

This place offers many diffident types of dish and it tastes amazing. My favorite is the beef tongue sizzling pot. The serving is for 2 people with a very good price. I suggest to come in a avoid dinner time bc it could get very busy and long wait.

The combination of meat, veggies and the exterior crispy pancake created such an outstanding tasting effect. The lamb dish had one of the most tender meats I've tasted. The brown sugar sticky rice cake was soft inside and hard outside; with just the right amount of sweetness. Service was ok. They should've been kinder and more grateful. I liked how they have a sign posted on window saying that gratuity is at free will and you don't pay for the wrong dish they send to you. It showed accountability. That's why we keep coming back, for now.

There was no line for us to be seated. I was able to flag down a server to seat us since they seem to be extremely busy cleaning tables and servicing others. The hotpots are full of ingredients and the broth has always been tasty. Unfortunately, the meats seem to be overcooked. Prices have been going up over the years where only the monthly special is enticing for the value. Servers were friendly and checked in on us, but it took 25 minutes for our food to show up at our table after we ordered. The only consistent experience I've had are the oranges at the end of the meal. They are always amazingly sweet, juicy, and comes off the peel easily. I don't usually enjoy oranges, but I love the ones HomeEat offers! Will be back if in the area, but hope kitchen service will be quicker in the future.

We knew to go early, since they don't take reservations and we often see lines outside. We arrived at 10:30am and the front manager said if we can be done my 12:30, that they had a table for us. Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.

Ironically, I'm not a fan of them myself--they're a bit too eggy for my taste. When it comes to dim sum quality and service, I honestly prefer Koi Palace. The food quality there is more consistent, and the service is much more phenomenal. The only things this place really has over Koi Palace are the lower prices and those black sesame custard buns my friend loves! I've been here at least a dozen times, and the food can be hit or miss. Sometimes dishes come out cold, like they've been sitting out for a while instead of being served fresh and hot. That said, there are a few items we always order that are consistently good when brought out fresh like salted crispy pork chops, siu mai, shrimp rolls, and fried calamari. Be prepared for a wait on weekends since it gets crowded. If you're coming with a large group, it's best to arrive before noon. The restaurant is located next to a hotel, and finding the restroom can be confusing since it's inside the hotel. Service is also pretty minimal--they seem understaffed, and I almost always have to flag someone down just to get basics like soy sauce, chili, and water. I don't understand why they don't just have the sauce on the table for guest to dip, but I get that they're saving $ on controlling the cost down. On my most recent visit, the experience really went downhill. Our table had food but no soy sauce, chilli nor water, and when I flagged a waiter multiple times, he got visibly annoyed and irritated. It was frustrating--we shouldn't have to chase someone down repeatedly for basic condiments. Being met with attitude for that honestly left a bad impression. That experience alone makes me reconsider coming back. Good food at a good price is one thing, but poor service--especially to that extent--can really ruin the overall experience.
