    339. Egg & Shrimp Chow Fun / 滑蛋虾炒河粉 2 Fashion Wok 食尚浓汤锅
    Vivian N.

We've been coming to this place since 2023 and loved it when it was Fashion Wok. The prices did increase but still tasty. I missed when they were experimenting with different items like sushi! Now that it is Home Eat, it slightly takes away from the homey feeling it used to have but nonetheless the same. I really really really enjoyed the chive pocket but because of the change , it is no longer there. It used to be my comfort snack. Every month there's a special where some items are on sale. I recommend the hot pot, honey walnut shrimp, chow fun, and chicken wings!! They're all so yummy and super satisfying. Though I miss Fashion Wok, Home eat is practically the same.

We like the food and service! Great shrimps and beef. We also ordered lamp pot, it's great! We will definitely come back again!

Changed their name from Fashion Wok to Home Eat. I have been craving the fashion wok hot pot because it was so good last and first time we went. - their QR code and wifi wasn't working - after 10 minutes of trying we just ordered with a waiter. We noticed other people having the same problem and a pair of girls who just left - no complimentary sauces this time. my hot pot was bland. the rice that came with my hot pot was so dry and the outside looked like ice cream texture. like gross. how does an authentic Chinese place serve bad white rice! - our vegetable fried rice looked like a 3rd grader made it. mostly rice that wasn't even cooked through with a hodgepodge of random veggies they had. - my husband enjoyed his tidu hot pot - did not come with rice

Fashion Wok is definitely underrated; this is a great spot for casual Chinese food. Service is super quick, prices are reasonable especially for the large portion sizes, and I haven't disliked anything. I forgot to take some other photos, but we love the beef chow fun, General Tsao's chicken and honey walnut shrimp. The chicken pieces have a good ratio of meat to breading. All the dishes are flavorful but not over-sauced, as is sometimes the case with these kinds of dishes.

Yum super affordable and they have boba drinks! They explain vegetarian options as well

The place is nice and clean. They're mostly automated where you scan a barcode in your table and order from there. You can probably pay through the website but we handed our cc to the waiter. Service is good. Food for the most part was very flavorful except for the Chicken Broccoli. We also ordered the Beef Chow Fun, Black Pepper beef, and Sweet Sesame Balls.

Home Eat in Sunnyvale is pure culinary comfort done right. Every dish bursts with bold, authentic Hunan flavor, fiery wok hei, and soul-warming homestyle warmth. From scorching stir-fries to melt-in-your-mouth braised pork, it never misses. Unpretentious, electric, and endlessly craveable--it isn't just dinner; it's an absolute masterpiece every single visit.

We return back after a month or so since the new location. The small plate, cold dishes portion reduced, we order the hot pot special tenderloin pot. It was tasty but extremely greasy. Overall, we still like the food. Let's see how the quality sustains and the portion hopefully won't reduce further.

This place opened 2 weeks ago. Place was very clean. Staff was very attentive and checked on us frequently, even replaced our water carafe with out us having to ask. The food was delish. We ordered classic fried chicken with sweet soy sauce. That was my favorite. It was cooked so well and tasted so good. Hot & sour soup was also very tasty. It was thick a good amount of sour. Eggplant & green beans was the right amount of crispy and also the right amount of garlic. Combo fried rice was my son's favorite. Unfortunately they did not have their liquor license yet, so I couldn't get a glass of wine. Even though they had wine bottles on display on the wall.

Great food and really quick and excellent service. The place is really clean and waiters are really kind and polite.

Is Home Eat the same as Fashion Wok? Did you guys change the name only?

It is, at least its the same one that we order on Ubereats.

What are your main oils Used in the food?Would love to see all the oils used in each dish listed on the menu! Is sugar added to most things? Can I ask no sugar?M, that's not true plenty of stores respond. It's not such a big deal to disclose

No restaurants can list their dishes in THAT kind of granularity, they can provide calories, fat content but to list the kind of oils for each dish cooked, that's nearly impossible!

Do you use any lard in your dishes? If so, are they in any of the veggie dishes? Also, have any dishes with just chicken breast as the main meat?…

LMFAO in response to Charlie Z's answer, that is 100% pseudoscience pushed by the meat industry. People's health markers always improve whenever they replace animal fat in their diet with seed oils. That's what the studies show.

Do they put msg in the food?

No we don’t put MSG . Ok

    Is fashion wok permanently closed?

A note (in Chinese) was left on the entrance door: An employee was tested COVID-19 positive on 12/12. Store closed for quarantine. will reopen as soon as possible.

    Is Pork Fried Rice served?

I'm believe they have several varieties of fried rice, including pork. Their food is exceptional.

Does anyone know when the full opening and full menu will be available?

I was with my elderly mom and we arrived right as they opened at 4:30 PM. We placed an order and were told around 20 minutes wait. I guess they were busy with other takeout orders, as our order took around 30-35 minutes instead. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, or maybe we came on an "off" night, but the food was just ok. The portion was fairly generous, but the taste wasn't as out-of-this-world as we were led to believe. We ordered Singapore Style Chow Fun with Curry Sauce, House Special Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef and Wonton Soup. My mom and I found that both of the noodle dishes were skimpy with the meat. The curry chow fun had good flavor. The chow mein could have used more flavor and lacked "wok hei." The wonton had good sized fillings, but the broth was a bit bland. The mongolian beef was tasty, but had a huge amount of onions (both red and green onions). Prices were also high for what we got (over $80). On the bright side, we received a free lemon iced tea with our to-go order (although Mom said "He saw two of us waiting there - why didn't he give us two teas?!). Haha, thank you Asian mama! Perhaps Tuesday nights are not as good as weekends? Or perhaps we need to visit with our friends/relatives next time to help us order different things.
