    Big bowls and little bowl

Solid malatang place! Love the extensive protein options (so many tofu and fish balls lol). Really enjoyed my 2lb bowl lol. Broth was flavorful. Very clean food & sauce bar. My only issue is how small and crowded the place is ): Felt really cramped while we were eating. Would come again. Esp think it's cool that you can order drinks from TANING a couple doors down

Great meal! Loved all the toppings. The spiciest pork bone broth was not too spicy. Only complaint would be how the tables were set up and the flow to get food and then to sit down. We sat right by the register and witnessed quite a few groups not get a table number ahead of time and were scrambling on what to do. Maybe having a sign at the front to get table # before seating would be helpful?!

I actually really enjoyed the Spicy Dry Mixing here! Dry pot malatang is difficult for me because the mala gets SOOO spicy, but the mild here was perfect for me! It's actually mild! However, my friends who wanted "hot" were not too happy since it wasn't spicy enough haha If you're looking for a good spicy, go for the soup!!! My boyfriend enjoyed the Spicy Chili Oil Malatang a lot! Medium was pretty spicy and very flavorful. The variety of ingredients available were great, and everything seemed fresh. Loved the different noodles, especially the Potato Vermicelli!

This place got decent amount of toppings and meat for your bowl. I always order tomato broth when it comes to malatang and their brother was pretty good. Their sauce bar has some I dont see at other locations so I appreciate the options they offer.

This was the first (and only) malatang restaurant I have ever been to and I can honestly say that I don't plan on switching up any time soon. The staff is very warm and accommodating. They give such quick service if you go at the right times. The food is great (especially when you make the right sauce). The boba restaurant, Taning, that is one store down from this place has a great green grape fiber drink for after your meal. They have a point system where you can cash in points for items they have displayed and my eye is on the long stuffed weiner dog. Overall, this place is great! I highly recommend it! My only warning is that its pretty oily based on the soup base and spice level so bring some big pants!

We came here on 2pm on a Saturday and got seated immediately. I appreciate how their minimum here is 0.88 lb. I didn't know that until we ordered but me and my friend shared a bowl and it was delicious. We got the mild signature bone broth and it wasn't too spicy nor salty. They have a good selection. Would recommend coming and trying this place out :)

Went on a friday night and the place was full. We went relatively early so there was not wait, but the parking situation was a nightmare. The bone broth was decent as I felt like the flavor was not that strong and also it felt luke warm. The beef quality was not that great. It was super fatty. Overall wide variety and selection of things to put in in terms of veggies, noodles, and fishcakes.

My new favorite malatang place hands down! With such an influx of malatang places opening up in South Bay, it can get overwhelming. I saw Cuanyue opened recently and wanted to check them out, and boy was it yummy! They were super busy with pretty good table turnover, and a lot of people were also ordering to-go. The inside is super clean, and all the ingredients were very fresh, with workers bringing out new trays of ingredients consistently. Love that they have bunmoja - I haven't seen another place have this and I love love love the chewy consistency. Even better than adding rice cakes! I went with the spicy chili oil malatang medium spicy, just in case it was too spicy, and I would definitely go with the hot next time around. The broth was super rich and flavorful. There's plenty of parking and they also have a waitlist you can join via tablet once you get there. I'll be coming back very soon!

This place that replaced Mipot is so fire! I went a few weeks ago with my friends and it was such a great experience. My only gripe is that the selection is slightly more limited than most other malatang places, but the broth quality makes up for the lack of options. The service is pretty straightforward and similar to most other malatang places. I have no complaints once you get in the door, but I wish they would adopt a tablet system for their waitlist. It's old school pen and paper + writing down your phone number for them to call you in. Other than this, once you're inside, you get a table number, grab your bowl and fill it up, choose your broth and pay out before you eat. Typical process. The inside is small and cozy, and similar to a lot of other malatang places. Lots of tables close to each other, but thankfully not claustrophobic. Spicy Sour Broth - 8.5/10 - Sad there was no Tom Yum, but this was a distant cousin. Very yummy. I definitely will come back for this. Overall, cool place to go with friends!

    Beef Bone Broth Mild Spice

Visited this restaurant twice and its a solid place to grab malatang! I got their beef bone broth with mild spice both times and I will have to say that the spice level was different both times I went. Their selection is great and I liked that they had a lot of ingredients for sauce making. The food came out quickly and the service was good too! I will say the space is slightly cramped, the area where you start picking your items for your bowl can get easily crowded since there are seats sort of blocking the way. It's also like that with the sauce bar.

My friend and I decided to give this place a shot. Same layout as the last malatang place but the table configurations were a bit different. Toppings were a bit different too, but the basics were available. We both got the spicy chili oil. I got extra mild and it was super mild . The broth had a gamey lamb taste...they probably cook all the meat in the same broth because I did not get any lamb meat. Minus 1 star for the lamb broth. Sauce bar was good. If I come back I may go for the bone broth. Hopefully it won't have a gamey taste.

Cuanyue Malatang is the second malatang place I've been to with my kids. We arrived right when they opened for dinner. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The location is small but clean. The selection of topping was fresh and looked good. I stuck to what I knew and got the spicy sour soup. The soup was very creamy and mild. The sauce station was small but good. I would come again if we are ever in the area.

Between Zhangliang, YGF, and now this new place, this has to be my favorite bay area malatang place! High quality ingredients (at least for now) and really good broth with mala peppercorns!!

Even though they aren't too far from me I hadn't heard of them before. It's an unassuming spot tucked into a shopping center next to a bagel and water shop, but it gets crowded, and for good reason. This was only my second time ever having hot pot, the first time was not AYCE and was an individual pot, so it was fun to try the shared AYCE way. We picked two broths, the Shrimp and signature, and then went down the menu selecting proteins and other add-ons. We went with the Ultra over the supreme so we could get some of the nicer cuts of meats. They have happy hour pricing of a few dollars off earlier in the evening, which was going on when we were in. Non-meat dd-on favorites included the Napa cabbage, kabocha squash, ramen, bok choy, and shitake mushrooms. We got the Enoki mushrooms the first round, but switched to shitake for round two and they were the favorite. My boyfriend's favorite meat was the wagyu, and I was partial to the pork and angus beef, but everything was good.

Soups are flavorful, garlic actually comes through, meat is good quality that melts in your mouth, marbling looks good. I will say that the broth does end up becoming really salty near the end but you can ask the servers for more broth.

The…read moresetup is actually pretty cool because you get your own individual hot pot so you don't have to share broth, but there's still a shared grill in the middle for the BBQ. The all-you-can-eat is the move here. The meat quality is solid--the wagyu beef and spicy pork belly usually hit the spot on the grill. On the hot pot side, the pork bone broth is a safe bet, and the spicy broth actually has a decent kick to it. Also, they have those little fried buns with condensed milk that are dangerously good. They give ice cream at the end with a cone which is sweet dessert. The vibe is super lively and loud, definitely not a quiet dinner spot. They even have those robots rolling around bringing out plates, which is kind of funny to watch. Service is quick; you just order everything on your phone and it shows up fast. Just remember the 90 minute limit. It's clean, modern, and you'll definitely leave feeling like you need a nap. Great spot to hit with a group if you're looking to get a lot of food without breaking the bank.

I understand that it might be intentional so it can be customizable from the big variety of sauces at the sauce bar. But I would say its very lacking. No salt, no depth. Almost like flavored water. - Portions are okay. It's AYCE so it makes sense that their portions are smaller. but it is much smaller than places ive been to. Please be mindful when you decide which meat to be on the grill as majority of them is to be for hotpot. so it will dissolve on the grill the moment you realize it. - Meat quality is fine for AYCE. However there are some thats a bit questioning. The spicy beef is just the thinniest slices that are marinaded in the chili oil. But after cooking the texture and even flavor is very very off. I highly recommend getting the Finger Cubes BBQ (i think), nice blend of fat and meat and def the most flavorful. - ORDERING SYSTEM is a nightmare. Since the portions are so small, you would have to order multiple rounds and there is a time block apparently so you dont over order. But the system is so slow and not intuitive at all. At first i thought they are just opened and would give it some time to improve. But now i dont see myself coming back at all.
