The line was moving quickly and we were seated in about 20 mins Since we are vegans the staff shared about which sauces to avoid. We got sukiyaki and the tom yum bases with vegetables for 1 each The broth were really good sukiyaki has a good sweet base and is a good canvas for trying the different sauce combos - I highly recommend trying it with the signature combo. The tom yum is a good spicy base and goes well with everything on the veggie combo. Overall this place is a must for vegetarian hotpot ! read more

The meat quality here is fantastic! We ordered the waygu combo and the non waygu option, just to try everything out. The waygu meat was rich and buttery. The seafood and veggies were all really fresh. The yuzu and miso broths were our favorite and were savory and delicious. Service was helpful but not always there when you needed them. The place is remodeled and clean. The service is great as well! The restaurant only offers combo menus, with the option to add additional sides, and it's both halal- and vegetarian-friendly. I ordered the classic combo for two, which comes with 2 soup bases, 3 different kinds of meat, 3 sides, 2 rice or noodle options, and 1 large veggie platter. It's best when you come with 2 people and share the combo, or you could big back it and solo a combo - just be prepared to eat. Each person picks their own soup base. You get a choice of 3 meats, 3 sides, large platter of veggies, and 2 noodle/rice. I like the Beef Tongue, New Zealand Lamb, and the Wagyu Beef Chuck Eye Roll. Apparently the new Silicon Valley/South Bay thing is to get hot pot and Heytea. So my friends and I decide to try Mumu before getting boba. The restaurant is clean, service was ok, and the spot was pretty packed on the Saturday afternoon when we went. I ordered the single meat pack with yuzu shio broth. The meat quality is superb, topping selection is pretty good too, and I really liked the yuzu shio broth. Their sauce station has plenty of customization options too. Based on the quality of meat and toppings, I'd be open to dining here again. The servers are swift at seating you and cleaning tables for the following patrons. They're very attentive and friendly. I've never had to ask for either a water or a broth refill. ORDERING There's a QR code on the table for scanning and ordering, with the option to pay online. The server has always asked me if it's my first time, which dictates whether they'll go over the basics of hot pot and how to order. FOOD I've always frequented Mumu in pairs, so it's easy to select the meal options for 2 people. There are 3 different meat tiers with varying price points. The lowest (The Classic) starts at $75. I've tried the Classic and Premium Wagyu sets; both are good, but you could tell the quality and how much tastier the Wagyu is. Honestly, it's a lot of food! I usually skip ordering rice or any noodles and enjoy proteins, sides, and all the veggies! The sauce bar is VERY ORGANIZED. The ordering process was very straightforward and easy! *tip* you are able to adjust the spice level! But mind you, the spicy is actually really spicy!! So if you love spicy, then definitely go for it!! The meat quality is actually really good! I also enjoy how freshly their veggies are too. I would recommend getting a 2 person combo because it's definitely worth the price and it comes with 3 trays of the meat and sides. Don't forget to conjure up your own sauce at their sauce bar. They use a Yelp waitlist but you can't get a spot online before getting there. We got the Mumu combo which is for 2 people. It was $75 plus tax and tip. It came with 1 base per person, 3 choices of meat, 2 choices of sides (basically other toppings), 2 choices of noodle/rice, and veg platter. For meat we got the chuck eye roll, flat iron, and short rib. All of them were great but my favorite was the chuck eye roll for the balance of fat and tender meat. The short rib was also fatty but the meat was a little more tough. The flat iron was the most gamey. The sukiyaki base was delicious - light but still flavorful. The sauce bar has all the sauces I love - my combo is shacha/satay, sesame sauce, sesame oil, ponzu, chili oils, and lots of green onion and cilantro. The neutral tones are inviting, but I do feel like the bar they had before accommodated single diners better. I definitely like the single pot set up better since you don't have to fight over meat or broth and it's more hygienic. The ambiance was also very bright inside and the place felt very clean, from the bathrooms to the sauce bar! As for the foods, we opted for the Meat Lovers combo with Wagyu, Ribeye, and Toro meats and got the Sukiyaki broth and Tom Yum broth. The combo was reasonably priced since I feel like we got a little too much food. TBH I wasn't really a fan of the broths and I wish they had a wider selection. As for the veggies included in the combo, they did not skimp at all! They give a wide variety, from the greens to taro etc. However, I think what really sets this hot pot place from the others is that their meats are so good! And the pricing with bundles was a perfect way to understand portions. Ordering is done through a QR code where a credit card must be on file for a "holding charge". The sauce bar itself was very nice and modern which I appreciated. However, the service here was a mix of hasty and brash. I ordered the - Combo for 2 The food was delicious. The meats were in trays with perfect presentation that it almost made up for the service itself. For the food, I'd give it a 9/10 simply because it was great but wasn't the best I ever had. The sauce options were pretty solid and it definitely made our meal worthwhile. For the service, there were multiple things that didn't hit the mark for me. When I was asked by the host if I'm okay with shared seating since there were only large tables open at the time, I simply said ,"Yes I'm okay with this." To be fair, I'm very soft spoken and it's very hard for me to raise my voice up to a certain level. But in this scenario, it felt like regardless of what my answer was, he was frustrated enough to give an attitude and say "Oh okay so you aren't fine with shared seating." And walked away very suddenly. The host was talking to somebody before coming back and basically saying "SO DO YOU WANT TO SHARE A TABLE OR NO!?!?" in a very aggressive tone. To me this came off as very rude, but I decided to give it a try because why not. When I was sat, the server just placed a QR code on the table and told me to order and just left, never asked me if I needed help or anything.
