Very good XLB Wish they had vegetarian options Delish cucumbers and complimentary soup was very good Comfortable seating and good service

    Crab roe fried rice
    Jenny S.

We stopped by since the restaurant we wanted to originally come to had a bit of a line, and we were pretty hungry. The food was okay, and the service was a little lacking. Also for the price point, I guess I kind of expected a bit more? 1. Mongolian beef wrap was decent. The beef was tender, and came to your table on a hot sizzling plate. They light it on fire for show. It came with 3 large flour tortillas, but the amount of beef you get is barely enough to fill one of them. My husband and I ended up only using two wraps, and they weren't even close to being halfway filled. It was disappointing if I were to be completely honest. 2. Crab roe fried rice. It was really good, and you could see the crab roe cooked throughout the rice. It didn't have that smokiness unfortunately, but the crab flavor did come through. I enjoyed the corn in it, it complimented the crab flavor nicely. 3. Pork xiao long bao. It was the best item that we ordered, but it also took the longest to get to our table. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of it since we devoured it, but the meat was really tender. The pork filling practically melted in your mouth, and the soup wasn't overly porky. I wish we received more ginger vinegar sauce with it, but it is what it is. They also did not give us soup spoons to use, so we ended up having to use the serving spoons that came with our previous two dishes. The table next to us got their dumplings at the same time as we did and received their spoons though. It might be because it's a holiday weekend, but it seemed like they weren't prepared for how busy it was. The staff seemed really flustered, and people were waiting a while for their food, mainly for the xiao long baos. It was almost half an hour before one of the staff came to apologize about the wait for the dumplings. Maybe it's just due to the busy holiday weekend, but I'm hesitant on coming back. My husband would, but I'm on the fence.

Wagyu Beef with Broccoli you should just eat out of the bowl thank you. Enjoy. I came up really quick.

The ambiance is orange themed, minimalist chic and inviting. Service was quick and friendly. The pork soup dumplings and wagyu beef with broccoli was tasty. The rice does comes separately with additional charge. Good stop for a quick mall bite.

Another Valley Fair asian joint where there is a line but its a shorter one. Very authentic variety on the menu as we had the following: Cucumbers Salad- chopped cucumbers with a vinegar dressing and a nice refreshing crunch to accompany the other dishes. Walnut Shrimp - generous size of shrimp and fried to perfection with a slight drizzle of mayo/honey sauce which was made the shrimp have a good crunch. MaPo Tofu- Went with a veggie option (minus the pork) as it was a flavor bomb but a little strong on the sichuan peppercorns. Waguy Truffle fried rice- little bits of beef but the rice itself had the truffle essence and it was needed to pair with the other dishes. Busy Friday night but the service was quick, friendly and efficient.

In mall near old navy. Not many people. Service great! Food very nice! Pretty bright with jazz music at mid volume playing. Got wonton soup and wagyu beef wok wrap. Both very tasty. They stress proper form when doing the wrap. Had video and images at table. Would stop by again!

Stick & Wok at Valley Fair Mall stands out as one of the more popular Asian eateries at this Mall, offering fresh wok‑fried dishes, crispy potstickers, and flavorful rice bowls. The quality is consistently good, good portion size, and value, making it a strong choice for a quick but satisfying meal. Bold, fresh flavors - Dishes are cooked to order and arrive hot, with standout umami-rich options like Wagyu & Truffle Fried Rice. Generous portions, Friendly service , Great value -- Wallet‑friendly pricing for the quality and portion size. Modern, comfortable decor, we appreciate the clean, stylish interior with fun food-themed posters. * Wagyu & Truffle Fried Rice - A top‑ordered item with premium wagyu, black truffle, and rich soy-based sauce. This was our favorite dish. * Mongolian Wagyu Beef - Tender beef with a spicy kick was ok. * Sweet & Sour Chicken - Crispy, thin-sliced chicken was solid. * XLB soup dumplings - Especially the pork & scallion version, was deliciously juicy.

Group dinner review. Came here with 7 people on a weekday. It was completely empty at the time compared to all the crazy long lines at places next door. At first glance and seeing the name, I thought this was a fast casual spot with Chinese style burritos. I was pleasantly surprised by the end. FOOD was not cheap but tasted great. We ordered the honey walnut prawn, truffle wagyu fried rice* (popular), kung pao chicken (not spicy), Mongolian wagyu beef* (very good), cold cucumber salad, Sichuan green beans*, crab roe noodles*, salt and pepper calamari, crab roe pork potstickers, and white rice. Everything tasted good with highlights with asterisks. The chef in the back even gave us an early preview of a steamed dish coming soon. Yum. The service was super fast. Good came out quickly (except pot stickers take 10-15 min). Water was always refilled without asking. Came out to around $35 person with 7 people.

Starting with the good. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely nothing to complain about there. What let us down was the food. To be clear it's not bad. It's just not good for the price. I know it's in Valley Fair mall so the price will be higher than other places, but I do expect the taste to be better. The walnut prawns had too much dough. The Shanghai crab noodles was interesting but the sauce was more egg flavor than crab, which was disappointing. The string beans was good though. We're unlikely to be back just because there are plenty of other better options at Valley Fair at this price point.

Came by the mall today after a quick dental appointment and wanted something quick and easy to have for lunch without having to wait in long lines or contemplating the menu too much. Passed by this place a few times and their sign outside caught my eye. Decided to come in and try out their Pork soup dumplings (XLB) and the Plum Tea drink. The wait staff were really nice and helpful with items they ahead on their menu. It's nice that they have the chefs that prepare the dumplings out on the floor to showcase their skills and preparations. Food was really good and now I have an new place to get some soup dumplings

The service was excellent. They are very friendly here. I was excited to see that they offer crab roe noodles which is hard to find literally anywhere besides China. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The space is clean and comfortable. They also mentioned that they are rolling out a new menu next week which will include XLB aka soup dumplings. I look forward to coming back.

    Mongolian Wagyu Beef Wrap
    Aile M.

Ambience was great. Line was not long, so no complaints. We got a two seater and thay were things got interesting. We ordered the Mongolian Wagyu Beef Wrap Typhoon Shelter Shrimp, Pork and Scallion Dumpling, and Crab Meat Noodles. Mongolian Beef was alright but nothing to sneeze about. Beef was tastey and tender from the sizzling plate with a sweet glaze on it. The shrimp was bland together with the dumpling. Crab Meat Noodle was weird. Noodles were instant and the crab meat was average. Total together with Sprite and the chilled sour plum totaled to just over $106 as expected of a resto in Valley Fair. They have a promo of two chocolate banana dumlings when you show them a current review either on Yelp or Google, but for me, I did a Yelp review and showed it to them, just to be told to wait 6 mins. Waited 8 mins and nada. Walked out of that joint. This place was a bleh. I mean if I would spend that amount of money, I would like the meal to be superb and when the free stuff should come when it was supposed to then it should; however, it did not happened. Sad.

Wow! Was this a (great) surprise! Saw a mall restaurant while I was walking from the parking garage in Valley Fair.. looked new and clean inside, staff seated us immediately. Tables were nice and spacious, with lots of seats. The food was the most delicious Chinese food I've eaten outside of China! 100/10 will absolutely be back again! Portions were absolutely generous, enough food for 2 meals easily! My wife commented; 'I guess we are coming here when we are looking for great Chinese food!'

    Victoria C.

I'm surprised this place wasn't busier but better for me! Amazing service and food. Everyone was very welcoming. They give you complimentary soup. I had the Mongolian Beef, so juicy and cooked perfect. Just the right amount of spice. Side of white rice, pork soup dumplings, pork and shrimp pot stickers. The chef gave me a secret chili sauce and was delicious. I also tried the iced green Jasmine tea. Delicious.

Unfortunately, the experience ended up being pretty underwhelming. The first thing that surprised me was that every single topping on the burger costs extra. On top of that, I didn't even receive everything I ordered despite dining in. I had ordered chilis on the side and a drink, but neither was given to me until I specifically asked about them. When I asked for the chilis, the cashier told me they had run out and asked if jalapeños were okay instead. I ended up taking the jalapeños, but it was still disappointing considering I went well before closing hours. I also wasn't given my drink cup until I asked for it separately, which made the service feel pretty disorganized overall. The restaurant itself also didn't feel especially clean during my visit. What frustrated me most was that it genuinely felt like I would not have received either of the items I paid for unless I specifically asked for them. Between the missing drink cup and the missing side order, the whole experience came across as pretty careless and disorganized. The burger itself was ok. The patty had no crispy bits or any caramelization so the overall experience felt lackluster given the hype surrounding the place. Maybe I just caught them on an off day, but this visit definitely didn't live up to expectations. I'd consider giving them one more try in the future, though. I would rate the burgers a 2/5, sauce a 2/5 and the fries a 3/5.

I chose the CC Chicken Dupbop. Their dishes are customizable so I chose it to sit on top of Egg Rice (which also was on top of some shredded cabbage). Bcuz many photos had the Corn Cheese, i decided to add that on as a side. Did I need the .99cent mac salad add on too? No, I would have been full without either side, But did i enjoy them and glad I tried, yes! It was my first time there so I went for it. It isn't fancy inside, but it has that easy, comfortable Korean restaurant feel where you can come in hungry and know you're leaving full. We tried a few different dishes and everything was flavorful and satisfying. The ramen came out hot and comforting with a nice broth, noodles, and green onion. The rice bowl was packed with saucy crispy meat, kimchi rice, cucumber, tomato, and a creamy side that pulled everything together. The tteokbokki was bright, spicy, cheesy, and cozy, with plenty of rice cakes and fish cake in that classic red sauce. The wrap was really good too and packed full with meat, lettuce, sauce, and cheesy richness. It was filling in the best way and definitely one of the standouts. One thing I really liked is that they give you a lot of food. The portions feel generous without the prices feeling ridiculous, which makes it a good option when you want something casual but still filling and flavorful. They also have a good selection of food, so it's easy to find something whether you're in the mood for noodles, rice bowls, spicy Korean comfort food, or something more handheld. The space itself is pretty normal and simple, nothing over the top, but it works for what it is. I also noticed they offer 50% off beer from 11am to 4pm every day, which is a pretty nice deal if you're going earlier in the day. The only thing that brought the experience down was the service. Our server wasn't very friendly and seemed pretty surly, which stood out because the food itself was enjoyable. It wasn't enough to ruin the meal, but it did make the overall experience feel a little less warm than it could have been. Overall, Rice Junky is one of those spots that's worth trying if you're in the area and craving something filling, flavorful, and casual. The food was tasty, the portions were generous, and the pricing felt pretty fair for most items. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't know that it would be a repeat visit spot for me, mostly because even though the flavors were delicious, a lot of them felt pretty similar to other Korean spots.
