Rare Steak Pho, BBQ Pork Rice Plate, and a Strawberry Lychee Tea.
Joshua C.

My party got a Rare Steak Pho, BBQ Pork Rice Plate, and a Strawberry Lychee Tea. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Especially, the Strawberry Lychee Tea, it was real refreshing and not too sweet. Perfect for the upcoming Summer season. Plus, the service was a 5/5! My party and I will definitely come back!

This place faces Prospect just off of Saratoga Avenue. "Just passed trader Joe's." Has plenty of parking out front. Walking in I noticed that they weren't very busy which kind of made me nervous "thinking that they might not be to good" The inside is simple yet nicely decorated in a rustic decor. A person walked up and said that we could order our food on a tablet. All 3 of looked at him like deers in the headlight, ummm we have no idea how to order with one of those and we are not about to learn how either "lol" he was very kind and told us that he would come back when we were ready and order for us. I ordered the barbecue pork and fried eggroll vermicelli with extra fish sauce, wifey and my friend ordered the Korean barbecue steak. The vermicelli came in a nice stainless steel bowl and was very very good, the barbecue pork had a wonderful grilled flavor and the egg rolls were light and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I asked for extra fish sauce and they gave me plenty (so good) I love that umami flavor ;-) Both my wifey and my friend loved the barbecue steak, I tried some of my wife's steak and must say the flavor was wonderful. I'm not sure why they weren't busy, maybe it's because they're still kind of new in the area. Honestly this place is really really good and they give you plenty of food too. My only complaint is that they offer you a free drink if you give them a 5 star review. I feel that that will lead to misleading reviews just so a person can get a free drink. So because of that I am giving them 4 stars, NOTE I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM 5 STARS. But I'm just letting them know that some people can't be bought even when I was actually going to give you a 5 star review. Take down that sign and I will come back and give you a five star review.

Very casual spot and I was surprised at how large the portions were. My friends and I ordered a couple apps but definitely didn't need since we couldn't finish the apps and our entrees. The egg rolls and popcorn chicken were good. The vermicelli salad was good although I didn't realize it really was a salad until I boxed my leftovers. The bowl was big that I didn't even make it to the salad potion.

We are excited to try the new pho place opened up recently so near to us. Came for an early dinner a couple of days ago and had a good experience. The place is clean with high ceiling, ordering was easy with the ipad and the two young staff were friendly and provided good services. We ordered a combo pho, a meat ball + rare steak pho and one order of crispy egg rolls to share. Food delivered within minutes after ordering. Both of the pho orders came hot with good amount of protein which we liked, they could be a little more generous with the condiments. One thing I noticed with my sensitive taste buds was the slight sour note in the broth instead of slightly sweet taste in most of the other pho eateries. The egg rolls were fried crispy which we enjoyed but a little oily. Over all it was a decent experience especially considering the good service and convenience location.

Love this new pho spot in the area, much needed location. I always get their combination pho (brisket, tendon) the broth is delicious. I also like their basil popcorn chicken as an appetizer

This business has multiple locations. If you're in the West side, come stop by. We're adding it to our rotation. We ordered to-go and they provide a hearty portion of protein. The place is clean, staff are friendly. Ordered at the restaurant to-go and it came out quick. I think this place is slept on. Prices were good and food was amazing. Will need to come back to dine in for the full experience!

We were looking for some Vietnamese food, and Pho Kitchen had 4+ stars so we decided to give it a try. Service/Ambiance 4 stars: It has a casual strip mall restaurant nice ambiance, and it was very clean (they use Lysol disinfectant to wipe the tables). We were seated quickly, and the service was immediate and friendly. We ordered our food from a tablet, but they also provided a physical menu, which was appreciated, and our order was delivered promptly. Food 3 stars: was good, but not great. There are ~100 food items and ~50+ beverages on the menu, which are WAY too items many to prepare all of them well. - Taiwanese Basil Popcorn Chicken was very well seasoned and the crispy fried basil was a nice touch, but the breading was so "crispy" it cut the roof of my mouth and the chicken itself was very chewy. - Bbq Pork Vermicelli Salad had lots of fresh veggies, and the bbq pork was very tasty, but the vermicelli noodles themselves were pretty thick and served really warm. Bbq Chicken and Shrimp Vermicelli Salad had the same fresh veggies and warm noodles, the bbq chicken was tasty, but there were only 2 shrimp (mentioned in another review, and there are other photos of this dish with 2 shrimp). We plan on coming back to try the pho and bahn mi so hopefully the menu can be improved/reduced and this review can be positively updated.

We used to go to the other Vietnamese place until we found this one. Our new to go place. Affordable price, generous portion, good service, clean and calm environment.

This place was absolutely amazing! I would recommend everything on the menu! It was all delicious! The service is great the people are friendly! However they did not refill our waters! The ambiance is nice nothing too special. The portions are standard the pho isn't too large. The pho was probably the best pho I have had in the Bay Area! Pho Now and this place are my top favorites! The grilled pork sandwich was delicious!!! Spring rolls were great too!

I ordered their tempura udon which came with udon, fish cake, green onions and tempura bits in a hot broth. It also came with 3 pieces of shrimp tempura, 3 pieces of vegetable tempura (eggplant, sweet potato and pumpkin). The order came out quickly after ordering and good size portion. The tempura were fried crispy and went nicely with the udon. Udon had a nice broth and good amount of udon, nice and chewy. Overall, good experience and will come back again.

The vibes of the place is really nice. Warm and comforting. As soon as we stepped in, we were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The service stood out right away. Our server was incredibly attentive. I barely tried to get his attention from the corner of my eye, and he noticed immediately. I honestly don't know how he did that, but it was impressive. Since it was my first time there, I felt a little overwhelmed by the menu because there were so many options that sounded good. My friend ended up taking the lead on ordering, and we definitely ordered with our eyes because it turned out to be way too much food for just the two of us. We got the salmon spinach cream sauce udon, crispy onigiri bites, edamame, chicken karaage, and the salmon ikura seiro set. Out of everything, the crispy onigiri bites were my personal favorite. The chashu was incredibly flavorful and tender. It melted in your mouth and made each bite so satisfying. The salmon spinach cream sauce udon gave me pasta vibes, which I really enjoyed. The sauce was rich and comforting, and the flavors worked well together. The udon itself was a bit firmer than what I am used to, and not exactly my personal preference, but it was still delicious overall and paired nicely with the sauce. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first visit with great food and standout service. I would definitely come back next time with a better sense of portion control.

The noodle soup had a light, comforting broth that honestly tasted nostalgic -- like childhood comfort food. Personally, I liked the dry noodles a little more, especially with their chili condiment on the side. It was SO good together. The spicy wontons were the perfect portion for me. The filling was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the sauce had a nice balance without being too vinegary. One thing that really stood out was the meat -- the slices were ridiculously thick in the best way possible. Every bite felt super satisfying and hearty. Definitely coming back again

The water spinachwas lightly sauced and served as the perfect fresh side to balance out the meal. The service truly set this experience apart. Our server was so kind and attentive, especially toward my aunt who is in a wheelchair. It's rare to find a place that feels this genuinely welcoming. I was down to 10% battery, but they have outlets along the wall. Since I had my block and cord with me, I was able to charge up while we ate. Great food, accessible, and amazing staff.

The Nam Vang came with sliced pork, ground pork, and one prawn in a clean, savory broth--light but flavorful. The filet mignon pho was a solid upgrade: tender beef, silky noodles, and a broth that leaned richer but still easy to sip. Noodles had a nice bounce in both bowls. I was craving a vermicelli bowl or bánh mì too, but heads up--they only serve pho and noodle soups here. No rice plates or sandwiches. Still, if you're in the mood for Vietnamese comfort food, this spot delivers fast and clean.

Thank you to my bro and his fam for treating us out to some Mother's Day noods!!!…read more My bro and his family are massive fans of Kali Noodles + Tea Bar. Even with them moving out to the East Bay, they make periodic drives just to enjoy what KN has to offer. I've had one dining experience here previously and was not impressed. This lead to not returning. Fast forward 2.5 years or so, here I was again. Our large party of 9 arrived at opening hours and the owners were so very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the condiments were in tip top shape. Our family's order was massive. We started the meal with xiu mai [Vietnamese pork meat balls] and Chinese donut sticks. This then continued with mi do bien, filet mignon and beef ball pho, & a variety of nam vang noodle versions. The great thing about Kali Noodles are the multiple options of noodles they provide. There are a number of combinations that could be made with the 6 offerings. The food was surprisingly really good- so much better than what my first visit was. The bowls were presented neatly but plated in a way where the large chunks of lettuce made the bowls seem a lot more fuller that it really was. The noodle soups also consisted a lot more broth than noodles. Having said that, the egg noodles are really really good!! The restaurant cooks them perfectly- chewy with a slight bite that keeps you wanting more and more. Hu tieu dai was unfortunately too mushy in texture for my liking. 4 stars overall. Customer service from the owners were exceptional. They were attentive to each person's order and were so welcoming. The food was good but maximize the deliciousness by strictly going for the thin egg noodles. You will not be disappointed and this recommendation is coming from a person who typically steers clear of this. I'd happily return.

However, we were able to order our food ahead of time. The atmosphere of the restaurant was bustling and noisy, a super fun and casual spot. Our dishes arrived minutes after we sat down, which was impressive. There was also a variety of delicious side dishes, with various types of kimchi. The nine of us split two braised beef short rib dishes - and we were struggling to finish it all. The portion size is massive, which makes sense since it's a pretty penny. The meat was so tender, literally falling off the bone. There were a ton of potatoes, daikon, rice cake, and carrots as well. The entire dish was savory and delicious, pairing perfectly with rice. You can also specify your spice level. The medium spice was a fair amount of spice but not overpowering. I highly recommend getting the cheese on top, it provides a creamy contrast to the sharp flavors of the meat. I'm still thinking about the braised beef short rib - it was just that delicious!
