Came here on a Friday night after a few drinks, so take this review with a grain of salt. I ordered the beef noodle soup, and the standout for me was the noodles. The texture was fantastic - chewy, bouncy, and cooked perfectly. The beef was also incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. That said, the broth was a little underwhelming. While it was comforting, it didn't have the depth I was looking for. It tasted a bit bland compared to others I've had. I also ordered the chili oil wontons (8 pieces). Unfortunately, they weren't spicy at all. I was expecting at least a little kick, but the chili oil was very mild. The wonton wrappers were thicker than I personally prefer, though the filling was generous and substantial. I ended up pouring the chili oil from the wontons into my beef noodle soup to add some extra flavor. They also provided a side of chili oil, but again, it wasn't particularly spicy. Overall, the noodles and beef were excellent, but I wish the broth and chili oil packed more flavor and heat. Maybe I'll try this place again when I'm sober. read more

Came here on a Saturday night. I parked at a garage that was roughly across the street. AMAZING food and service! The location is a very cute and chill spot, a little cramped. I will say xiao long bao is okay, nothing terribly impressive, BUT everything else was bomb! -Shumai are HUGE -Hargow are also HUGE -Scallion noodles blew my mind. Tasted like scallions in noodle form -Beef noodle soup exceeded my expectations. Flavorful broth, tasty beef, delicious noodles! Gets my Taiwanese taste buds stamp of approval! read more

Do not let the high reviews this place has fool you, I had been waiting to try this place for some time as I work in the area and after eating here for lunch I was like "HOW IS THIS PLACE 4.7 STARS?" So here is my honest review, prices are good in that "right near a collage campus" affordable type of way but the food really quickly shows you why the price is what it is. We had several dumplings, the siu mai, wagyu dumplings, XLBs and chili wontons. The XLBs were the only decent thing. The chili wontons had no chili, the wagyu dumplings were over steamed and falling apart and the siu mai was nothing special. We also got the scallion noodles with beef and there were no scallions just scallion oil and it was SUPER bland, tried adding soy sauce and vinegar and chili oil we asked for just to try and make it taste like something. I'm also not sure what type of beef they put in top but it was hard to eat. The only thing I did like was the cucumber salad. Definitely not a place I would come back to. Definitely no idea what the high ratings are about. read more

Not bad but definitely could be better! I think if you come here, definitely go for their boiled dumplings over the soup dumplings. I really enjoyed their boiled wagyu beef dumplings! Very flavorful with tons of beef. The chicken & corn one was pretty good as well. However, the soup dumplings weren't very soupy and not the best. The meat sauce over rice was super tasty as well, but unfortunately we found a hair in it. I also enjoyed the cucumber salad which was really addicting and refreshing. The chili oil wontons were just okay; good flavor but there wasn't chili oil on it. Beef noodle soup was on the saltier side but not bad. We came about an hour before closing but everyone was still very accommodating and nice! The place itself was very clean and bright. Meimei Dumpling absolutely delivers. The beef noodle soup is incredibly clean and comforting--almost reminds me of a pho-style broth, light but still full of flavor. The beef is super tender, and the noodles have that perfect QQ chewiness that makes every bite satisfying. Previous reviews weren't kidding, the Shiu Mais are huuuuge! Must try, pretty good! We also got the beef ribs noodle soup, chili oil wonton, marinated beef, shrimp chive dumplings. We recommend the noodle soup, wonton, and dumplings. Not so crowded for sat lunch, good grab after visiting tech interactive in the morning. Most staff speak mandarin. Saw the high ratings at this place, so I decided to give it a try but was really disappointed. I also saw they had a sign on the tables saying if you leave a good review, they give you free lava custard buns. So it's a gimmick. Service was good though. Beef noodle soup was small portioned & bland, the beef was tender though. Xiao long bao was plain and not juicy. Beef dumplings were bland and the spicy won tons sauce was salty. Was a bit suspicious about the high rating for this restaurant as I saw some folks with no or minimal past reviews leaving 5-star ratings for this place. Came here on a rainy day and saw that they offer a free lava bun if you give them a good review. Was that one of the reasons why they currently have a 4.8 rating on Yelp? My hubby and I still both tried their beef noodle soup and were disappointed that it didn't appear like in the past photos. The portion was significantly smaller, the beef was too fatty and I had to "search" the bowl for three small pieces of bok choy. So be warned! read more

What a find! Whenever I come to the South Bay I crave dumplings. Tried Meimei Dumplings for the 1st time and very much enjoyed it. The soup dumplings were my favorite. I also enjoyed the cucumber salad on this warm evening. I also tried the pork buns. They were 'just okay" for me. The ladies at the counter were nice and attentive. I recommend trying this place. It's a small restaurant. Maybe 20 people max can sit in to eat. Give it a try. read more

Came here on a rainy day and was perfect. I did a dine in order and take out for later. Service was friendly and fast. I took my time eating and didn't feel rushed. They came with ice cold water. The dumplings had good dough to filling ratio. The waygu beef was tender and not chewy. I wasn't a huge fan of the chili wonton - it wasn't as spicy so I did have to ask for extra chili. The location is in the walkway between third and fourth streets. They mentioned that they get a lot of sun during part of the day so they have reflective glass which made us unsure if they were open. They were. The location has plenty of places to sit. But was a little warm and stuffy inside so we intended to just get our food to go. Girl at the counter was nice. The wait for our food was longer than expected and cost more than we'd expect for the small quantity of pieces that came with our order. The har gow were pastier than we've ever had before. Which worried us a bit. Soup dumplings were ok. Cucumber salad was fresh but lacking in flavor. All in all it was fine, but we've had better dim sum for less effort with parking, price, etc. read more

Great time at MeiMei Dumpling! MeiMei's located inside the Paseo walk near the Hammer Theater. The pricing is pretty decent, I got the Jumbo Wonton Noodle Soup which had 6 pieces in it for about $13. The service was pretty efficient, getting my order out within 7-10 minutes. I had ordered my soup without reading the description and later realized that it had shrimp in it which is something I can't have. I told one of the employees and they politely went into the back, spoke with the chef and fixed the problem. The soup itself was delicious. They provide you with two sauce packets, one spicy, the other one im not sure, but I added both to my soup and both packets complimented the soup and made it taste better. It was served pretty hot and the overall soup was delicious. I'll be coming here again soon. read more

Very clean inside and got our food quickly. We came in for lunch and it got pretty busy after we arrived. I been wanting to try this place for awhile after getting advertised on instagram about there grand opening. My friends and I got Siu Mai. They are huge! They are the size of mini tennis ball. They are absolutely scrumptious. Along, with xiao long bao, wagyu beef dumpling and char Siu bao. This was enough to feed 3 of us. I was very satisfied with all the rich flavors. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's a place I'll definitely keep coming back to.

We walked in right at opening to a completely empty dining room. Instead of leaving, we browsed the menu and ordered XLB, pot stickers, jelly fish, and pea sprouts (my personal fav) so glad we didn't leave! The XLB are a nice size, with each precious dumpling cradled in its own foil wrapper for maximum soup retention. The potstickers were full of flavor, packed with protein, delicately wrapped, and had the crispiest, golden bottoms! Jelly fish was fresh and the pea sprouts were a hit! The poor owner answering the phones made sure (in all languages) to inform folks calling in that there were a different May Flower than the other place-felt terrible for her but also understood the importance of differentiating right up front. I can only imagine the number of misorders they have probably dealt with. By the time we were done, the dining room was filled with a mix of what seemed like regulars, locals, large groups of families, small groups of friends... this feels like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall restaurant where everyone who has been before just knows the quality and taste they are going to be getting! I mean I am used to oily noodles but this one exceeded some limits. *crispy salt and pepper eggplant-3/5- I had a stellar version of this dish at another restaurant in Sunnyvale and was stoked when I saw this on the menu here. Unfortunately it was a poor representation of the dish I loved there. The batter was too much and the dish felt heavy. The hot oil or sauce they had felt old and extremely vinegary as well, I would recommend avoiding it.

We ordered the mussels, flatbread, Brussels sprouts, and lobster noodles, and every dish was a hit. The mussels were definitely the standout - the sauce was so flavorful and unforgettable that we were tempted to ask for extra bread just to soak it all up. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. To top it all off, we were surprised with complimentary caviar cones from the restaurant, which was such a nice touch. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for celebrating with friends or enjoying a date night. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

The ambiance was great - located in dtsj....the place was lively, well decorated, & spacious but still intimate; perf. for a "girls dinner" or "date night" vibe. I came with my girls to celebrate a friend's bday. We had a pretty large group (9 girls) so we made reservations and were seated immediately. Service was great throughout the meal, we got a few comp. Bites and were checked on often. In the end - what it came down to was the food. First off - the menu itself was a bit all over the place - was it Greek, New American, or Asian fusion?? Seemed like it was a little bit of everything...and focused on variety (aka quantity over quality). There was also a good sized cocktail menu - which was a bit more "focused" overall. Let's dig in: (1) Caviar cones (comp) - this was a nice treat, the texture of the cone was good but mousse & roe just became too salty, in the end. (2) Fries - these were ok, similar to steak fries, wish they were a bit more crispy though. (3) Meatballs - also ok, the meatball texture was a bit too mushy inside but flavor was fair. (4) Beets - this was too tart and just too much going on overall. (5) Hummus sampler - this was ok, simple but also nothing stood out. (6) Pork chop - pork chop was cooked well, but over seasoned. (7) Branzino fillets with uni toast - this was odd, the fish skin sadly was not crispy enough, fish itself a bit bland - and then to have uni on that kind of toast...which was just dry & didn't do the beautiful uni any justice. (8) Short ribs - this was not tender and (again) just too salty & over seasoned. (9) Pesto pasta - for so much going on visually, the flavors sadly were underwhelming & a bit mono-tone. Cocktails unfortunately were all also underwhelming- either...too sweet, light (not boozy enough) or tart. Def needed to be more balanced overall. This visit was a while ago (over a year) - so I'm honestly not sure if things have improved and or if the menu may have changed. Hopefully it did, but as of now - sadly, not a place I'd go out of my way for.
