2524 Berryessa Rd San Jose, CA 95132 Jade China makes really good Beef Chow Fun! It was my first time trying this place, and what a great find! I'm guessing alot of people already know the food is good here, because there was a steady flow of customers on a weekday evening. Oh yes! My Beef Chow Fun was fresh and hot from the kitchen. The beef was sliced thin and it was tender and easy to eat. The noodles were soft and full of flavor. Nice amount of bean sprouts. Good, hot and fresh! Price: $12.75 for a square tray, not a box. Jade China is in the Berryessa Corners shopping center, located at Berryessa Rd x N Capitol Ave ( east of I-680). This is a takeout only place, but they have some tables if you want to eat there. No table service. The restroom sign says "out of order." but I saw staff going in and out. The young lady taking my order was very nice. Free parking in shared lot. Jade China is good food, good location, and reasonable prices.

I ordered party trays from Jade China for Christmas and was really happy with everything. I got the BBQ pork chow mein, salt and pepper fish, and broccoli beef. The portions were generous, especially the broccoli beef. They definitely don't skimp on the beef. The chow mein was not dry at all and nicely seasoned. The salt & pepper fish was crispy, savory, and well-balanced without being overly greasy or salty. Their party trays are cheaper than a lot of other places, especially for the portion size and quality you get.

ate and left no crumbs. Everytime I buy from here the portions are always the same!! HUGE. A place like this is hard to find. The food taste amazing every single time and the portion sizes stay consistent. I hope this place NEVER CHANGES. Service is always fast. I highly recommend the egg rolls and the chicken chowfun! If you're dining alone the combinations are always plugged with a lot too! 10/10 A++ stars on Yelp

A friend brought some beef chow fun to our potluck. The chow Fun was soft and had a lot of flavor! Each noodle had enough seasoning that covered the whole thing. Sometimes, with large of an order, some pieces are still white at other restaurants but not here. The beef was also tender and cooked well.

Surprised to read some of these postings. Came here for dinner during the weekend. There was a small line to the register that went by quick. Tables inside for small groups or one big group. More of like a to-go or quick dinner spot. The menu was posted at the counter as well as on the window so you can view your options before going in. They offer tons of options, original items and the usual favorites. The price was insane. I have no other idea where one can go to get quality chinese food, made fresh to order for the prices they have. Especially in this economy, prices have remained steady and worthy throughout the years. The food came out pretty quickly and let me tell you, the good tasted sooooo good. Each plate was flavorful, some items had their own unique twist. This will Definitely be my go to for original Chinese food. If you have an extra 10-15 minutes, it is better than any quick chinese spot like panda and better prices. Their combination meals are less than $12!!!! Where else can you get that?! I definitely recommend this spot!

Yeah I'm trying Jade China on Berryessa at the request of longtime follower Ian Jose. Honestly pretty good Chinese takeout, but I can't help but feel that it's overhyped by the locals. Evergreen Panda is better. Bbq Pork Fried rice: honestly pretty good, a little bland though. Maybe slightly worse than Golden Buddha and EV Panda. Mongolian beef: impressive spice level, but way too many onions. The beef also had a strange texture. It was spongy and didn't taste like beef. Sweet and Sour Pork: the shining star of this restaurant. Reminds me of the sweet and sour Pork in Japan's Yokohama chinatown. The meat is tasty and the sauce is not too sweet. Price is fine, around $14 for this combo plate. At EV panda it would be around $10. Portion is solid but nothing too crazy. The service is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Venue is solid too, I like that they actually have tables for dine-in.

The only consistent experience I've had are the oranges at the end of the meal. They are always amazingly sweet, juicy, and comes off the peel easily. This is one of the handful of American Chinese restaurants that stood the test of time. As is typical of these places, there was an old lady manning the counter and also acting as the server. And as is typical of these places, there was table at the end where they were prepping the fruits and veggies. It's truly remarkable how they are all similar in these ways! We got a couple of dishes and they came out at lightning speed. * Chowmein-3/5- delicious with lots of umami flavor but shockingly greasy. I mean I am used to oily noodles but this one exceeded some limits. *crispy salt and pepper eggplant-3/5- I had a stellar version of this dish at another restaurant in Sunnyvale and was stoked when I saw this on the menu here. Unfortunately it was a poor representation of the dish I loved there. The batter was too much and the dish felt heavy. The hot oil or sauce they had felt old and extremely vinegary as well, I would recommend avoiding it.
