love the fu jian fried rice and salt&peppet pork! So yummy!!!! No frills. Fast service. Although it was kind of weird that there was gratuity automatically added to my bill without us electing to add it.

China Palace is a good place that consistently turns out tasty food. I like that they are open super late. This allows you great flexibility to dine in or for takeout. Simple decorations with lots of pictures of the dishes from their menu. It's a fairly small restaurant so a big party would be hard to accommodate.

One of our favorite Chinese spots in the area. Ordered the salt and pepper squid and combo fried rice which is always perfectly crispy and salted. Also noteworthy are the salt and pepper wings, steamed chicken with soy sauce, and the Chinese broccoli. Contrary to other reviews, we appreciated the service here. It was a bit warm inside and the worker was constantly coming by to refill our ice waters which was greatly appreciated!

I've been coming here for years, even before the management change (if there was one). It's a solid spot my family and I go to occasionally. On Sundays, it's never too busy and usually get served fairly quickly. The "old, cranky" server was nice to us one day, always tending to our table without asking. But recently, he was unexpectedly "rude" but i honestly think he's just at that age where he wants things done. However, he grew kinder as the afternoon went on, which was weird. The food itself is great. We always order the sweet and sour fish fillet, salt and pepper chicken wings, house fried rice, and combination vegetables, all which are consistent each time. If you want good food and fast service, come here. But if you don't give grace to "rude" servers, you might wanna stay away lol. We don't mind and find it kind of funny.

This review is for a to go order experience. Major props to this restaurant for opening extremely late. FOOD: -Honey Walnut Shrimp: yummy, creamy, and flavorful. Sweet and savory lightly coated between all the shrimps. -Mongolian Beef: one of the best I've had in so long. Soft, tender, and juicy beef. Packed with all the flavor on there. Def recommend getting this dish -Salted Fish Fried Rice: a must when ordering from here. For $50 total between the 3 dishes, so worth it to get esp they close really late when you are craving for some flavorful Chinese food. Lots of parking around the restaurant.

Walnut prawns. Do not buy them

Used to go here years ago and their walnut prawns were amazing. Got them togo and they barely had any mayo sauce and the walnuts weren't even sweet or cooked. They just tossed in walnut from a container. The prawns weren't even crunchy.

Hidden gem in Milpitas that has been here for years. No frills Chinese spot with consistent food. Open late for those late night munchies. Cash only ! My go to dishes: Salt & Pepper Fish: white flaky fish with a light batter - I'm usually not a fried food person but this one smacks. Fish is never dry and that fry is fairly light and not heavy on the breading Ong Choy sautéed in garlic (idk what the menu item is lol) I just ask for Ong Choy and they know. They don't have this all the time so my alternates are pea sprouts or gai lan. Nothing beats some nicely sauced and sautéed veggies to give some crunch & greens to the meal Salted fish & chicken fried rice: that smokiness from the wok gives it a nice flavor. Not too salty so goes well with the other entrees Others I've tried: Pork chops: they're popular here but not my fav - a bit too sweet for me Chow fun: no complaints on this one, also love the wok flavors on it. Service Usually there's an older Asian man working the front. He may seem not very hospitable but he's giving Asian uncle / grandpa cut the bs attitude and I'm not mad at it. He's actually very very nice and I always look forward to seeing him. Ambiance No frills Chinese spot, lots of folks come for take out.

The food is good and the place is open late, but the service is sub-par. I ordered the House Special Chow Fun and the Braised Tofu and Mushroom and Tender Greens with Rice in a Lotus Leaf. It was a bit of time before I came back here, and the dish that I used to order used to be on their Specials Board, but when I went back, it wasn't. I tried to find it on the menu and asked the server, but they were very impatient, so I picked what I thought was it, but I was wrong. Then when they brought the dish, it felt like they were tossing it on the table in an irritated manner. The ambiance is casual.

You know what they say about Asian Restaurants. The worst the service the better the food. Basically family Style!!! Service: 6/10 No matter how respectful you are, unless you speak Chinese, they will always seem like they're mad at you. As an Asian myself, I've gotten somewhat used to it, but when you come in, as someone who isn't used to it, it can get a little uncomfortable. They kinda talk to you like you're a little kid. My friends and I was waiting for our food, and when it came, they kinda yelled at us to take a plate for each Person to eat. But the guy gave all the girls a straw for their water so that's a plus haha. Food: 9/10 Oh yeah, for the price, the food and portions are so so good. If you love the Honey Walnut shrimp at Panda Express, youll love this place even more. It basically melts in your mouth, and you get such a good amount for the price, Wayyy more than Panda, and way better. We also ordered the Pork Intestines, I usually hate intestines, but they made it so crispy and yummy. And we ordered so much more too!!! To make 6 Adults full, it costed $120 including $12 tips!!! Vibe: 8/10 Exactly what you'd expect when walking into any Asian restaurant, it's a homie vibe, and super calm in there. They play really good music in the kitchen. Overall: 7/10 I love the food, service not so much. But yummy yummy food!!! For really cheap.

    Sweet and sour chicken wings

It was 8 pm that we walked in, only 2 other tables with people dining in. We were seated promptly, there was a lone waiter working the restaurant. Placed our order, food came out pretty fast. Portion size on the smaller end. We had the beef chow fun, salted fish and chicken fried rice, garlic pea sprouts, salt and pepper fish fillet, salt and pepper chicken wings, spare ribs over rice, and the sweet and sour chicken. The fried rice was pretty good, on par with other Chinese places. The salt and pepper chicken wings were drowning in oil. The salt and pepper fish fillet was pretty good. The spare ribs over rice was highly disappointing, it was very bland and they basically just spooned the spareribs and the sauce over rice and it was placed in a steamer and served. Waiter was abrupt and Kinda rude but it's because he had loss of hearing so he's acting the way he is. Overall, food is ok but very affordable.

Deep Fried Pork Chops, the best in the area. I would always get this and side of rice. Cash is used here.

Food had soo much flavor. Every single dish, which is slightly rare. Usually fried rice or chow mein is mid but I had absolutely no complaints as a chef and foodie myself. Most of the low reviews complain about the older man being rude but he was extremely nice to us. A lot of people think because a lot of foreigners are direct, that they're rude but we tipped him $30 just for his service. The restaurant was clean and quiet. We live 2 hours away and originally wanted the koi place upstairs but I'm so glad we decided to leave (we didn't get a server after sitting 15 minutes) but it turned out for the better.

They do serve coffee for dinner time but I can't take the caffeine at night. The service is above average for a chinese restaurant. The waiter was pretty patience with us as we brought an elderly guest with us at the table so we took a little longer to enjoy our meal. The interior design of the restaurant is pretty interesting where the booth is align an triangular shape with a center piece so the tables can be put together for larger parties very easily. Definitely easier to get a table for parties of 4 or less but it will work out for larger parties as well.

They use shiitake mushrooms and don't hold back -- the portion is generous and the flavor is unreal. I could honestly eat this every single day. The vibe is also a whole moment. Cozy, warm, and gives you that greenery feel without actual plants -- just super inviting and perfect for a chill meal with friends. The Shrimp Rice Rolls are the clear star--the rice noodle is incredibly smooth and thin, which is the mark of a great chang fen. They don't skimp on the shrimp, and the sweet soy sauce ties it all together perfectly. For something heartier, the Wonton Noodle Soup features a very clean, savory broth and snap-to-the-bite noodles. The Pork Congee is also a winner; it's silky, flavorful, and exactly what you want on a cold day or when you're craving something soothing. We also grabbed the Shiu Mai, which were plump and well-seasoned with a great meat-to-shrimp ratio. The kitchen is efficient, and the flavors are consistently authentic. It's a reliable spot for a great quality, traditional meal that never misses the mark. Prices are reasonable and service is fairly quick but there's also a QR code for an optional online ordering for some.
