Braised Beef Noodle Soup & Spicy Beef Tendon Appetizer
Lloyd C.

I was excited to see Angry Noodle finally open. The interior is clean, modern, and simply decorated. Three self-self kiosks to order from. Complimentary filtered hot or cold water. Self-serve bowls, napkins, utensils, take-out boxes, etc. Comtemporary House music. HOUSE POLICY: NO TIPPING. Spicy Beef Tendon - cooked to tender pieces and marinated in a chili oil spice with julienned cucumbers, garlic and other spices. Braised Beef Noodle (thin noodle). Rich & flavorful broth. The noodles were like the size of udon noodles. They had a nice chew and bounce to them when eating them. The beef shank slices were thin yet tender. Unfortunately, I was the only customer in the restaurant on a weeknight (@6pm). Support your local business.

I ate here with my boyfriend on Sat night and when we came around 6pm, the restaurant was pretty empty. We ordered at one of the self serve kiosks. I appreciate that there are photos for each item on the menu. We got: - cold skin noodle (Liang pi): 10/10 very yummy - pickled cabbage beef noodle soup: 6/10 noodles were chewy and nice but the soup was lacking - chili oil beef slices: 10/10 one of my favorite things, love the spices but not spicy - marinated cucumber salad: 2/10 don't get this because it does not look like the photo on the menu and the cucumber was fairly sweet Overall, I really like the self serve concept here and they don't take tips. As we were eating, more and more people showed up. There were plenty of tables available and I would come back to try other items.

It is a good restaurant for anyone who enjoys tasty noodles. The service is kept to a minimum, which means you need to order on a screen, clean up after eating, and get your own utensils. The good thing is that you don't need to pay a tip. We ordered garlic dipping noodles with minced pork, pickled mustard greens fish noodle soup, and stir-fried baby bok choy. The noodles were hand-rolled, so they were very chewy. The minced pork was a bit too salty, but it tasted fine when eaten with the noodles. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Great replacement for QQ Noodle in the Barber Ln area. The dry noodles are so garlicky and perfectly chewy, and love the no frills service and no tip policy. Wouldn't get the head of pickled garlic again, it was a bit difficult to pick apart to eat and a little expensive.

Love their tomato egg noodles!! Chewy noodles yum yum. Our favorite to do place for lunch. The freshest ingredients are on the weekend so recommend coming then! Huge fan of the ordering with kiosk and environment. Service is straightforward as it's self pickup at the front and self bus the food to the Return station

I saw someone post a "no tipping" sign for this store so I knew I had to come and support them! This is my first time here and I thought the spicy beef noodle soup was delicious. The broth had a nice meaty flavor and wasn't too spicy. I like my pickled cucumbers crunchy and these didn't have any sort of crunch to them so I would pass on them the next time I'm back. They did mess up on our noodle choice -- we ordered wide noodles and they gave us the default noodles, but didn't want them to waste the food if we asked for the correct noodles so we didn't say anything. Though, I'm happy with the standard noodles. They were perfectly QQ and probably one of the best noodle textures I've had in a long time. It's also nice that this plaza isn't too crazy like the 99 ranch one where I always have difficulty finding parking. I'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is small but clean. It wasn't busy because I went there for late lunch. They do closed between 2pm and 5pm. The food was enough to fill my stomach. The noodles were good. It's like McDonald's fast food restaurant. You order by yourself and they will bring the food to the counter for you. They also have a sign says no tips. That could save you money. :)

Disappointing.. noodles texture was chewy and good but the sauce was too oily and didn't have much flavor. thought we found a good alternative to QQ noodles but I wouldn't come back here The restaurant had a weird smell too

Beef noodle soup and dry noodle combo

Tried Angry Noodle and this spot is definitely a 5-star noodle fix for me. The noodles here are super QQ (chewy) -- almost like an al dente pasta texture, which I love. They use those wide, thick noodles that really hold their shape and soak up the sauce perfectly. Every bite had great texture and flavor. We ordered the beef noodle soup and the combo dry noodles with pork and scrambled egg. Both were really good. The flavors had nice hints of chili oil and garlic, giving everything a savory kick without being overwhelming. It was a little oily, but honestly the noodles absorb it really well so it ends up tasting rich and satisfying rather than greasy. Another plus was how fast the food came out. Perfect spot if you're craving noodles and don't want to wait forever. Overall, really flavorful noodles with great texture and quick service. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm craving chewy noodles.

Angry noodle is fully self service, but I guess it's balanced because they don't charge tips! When you first go into the store, you order at a kiosk and find a table. The place is pretty big, so there is lots of places to select from. I went exactly at noon, but the store was pretty empty. The interior was clean and tidy; each table had these phone holders, which is great for a good youtube break! Once your food is ready, the staff calls your order number (which is stated on the receipt) and you pick your order up from the counter at the rear of the store. Once you've finished eating, you drop everything (even the trash) on a shelf. The consistency of the noodles at Angry Noodle are game changers. So chewy, and perfectly firm. We got the Tomato Egg with regular noodles and beef noodle soup with regular noodles. The tomato egg with regular noodles was underwhelming. Tomato and egg is one of my favorite childhood dishes, a dish that will always take me home from a bite. However, this bowl of noodles didn't hit the spot. The broth was really bland; it didn't even have that tomato egg soup flavor, but just chicken broth. The tomatoes were close to melted, and the eggs were okay. The beef noodle soup was a lot better, though I hate to admit that it was pretty average. It came with a good amount of vegetables and a generous portion of beef. The broth was savory and flavorful. I would totally recommend ordering this one. The noodles here are not pricey at all! Each were less than 20 dollars! I would totally come again. I'm looking forward to trying the wide noodles and some of the oil noodles!

For someone like myself who cook at home regularly, I am beginning to like their tasty single side dishes. Self service kiosks. It only takes Visa/Mastercard/Apple pay on kiosks. Grab own condiments. Not sure about noodle bowls, but I am a fan of marinated Chinese meats & veggies. This place surprised me. I actually liked their foods here. Authentic, good portions, affordable, and tasty. Tipping optional. Location is actually larger than it looks. They have two separate dining areas. Place your tray in the back when done (there are signs). 5/5 for flavors/ingredients/taste. Love everything drooped in vinaigrette and sesame oil/chili oil flavors. Yummy! Yes, authentic Chinese street foods. Marinated cucumber salad $5.99 was worth it. Stir fried baby Bok Choy $5.99 was worth it. Chili oil beef slices, this one is absolutely worth $8.99. Fulfilling and perfectly made. Pickled garlic $1.99, I was only expecting one piece, but they gave me two whole pieces. Garlic is not for everyone, but it definitely fits my tastebuds for sure. Sweet & sour, just the way I like it. Added a $2.99 herbal tea in a can with my order. Staff was organized and constantly came out to check details of operations/wiped down tables/chairs/routines. Not bad for a self service restaurant that doesn't require tipping. I am surprised. Chinese foods are getting an upgrade in the South Bay Area. Everything was delicious and well made for simple foods. I will try noodle bowls next time. This is a great addition to the plaza here in Milpitas. Love it.

Angry noodles is all about noodles. I went here for an early dinner with family and it was pretty empty. The space is very big because it took over two store fronts. Order is by kiosk and self pick up. Fast casual type place. The tables and chairs were new but weren't clean looking. All tables had these phone holders or chargers, which was a nice thought for solo diners or families using a tablet except those also looked pretty greasy. We orders a few noodle dishes to try. The Garlic dipping noodles was a dry wide noodle topped with boiled bok choy and garlic sauce. If you love garlic, this is the dish to try because it was packed with garlic aroma and flavor. Next was the beef broth noodles which also came with the wide noodles. The broth was clean tasting and the beef tendons were very tender. Last was the Oil Splash Noodles which was noodles topped with chilli cooked in hot oil paired with boiled bok choy. I would order this less salty next time, but overall the flavor was good and the chili oil wasn't too spicy where you would be sweating. The menu is small focused on the noodles and maybe a few side dishes. I would go back next time I have a craving for noodles.

Located in the same plaza as Koi Palace, Angry Noodle is a new restaurant with a fast food feel. Order at the kiosk and your number will be called when ready. Food is given on a try and then you find a spot. Bus your own dishes and tables when finished at the dish return station. No tipping here! Establishment is clean with two rooms for seating. Food took less than 10 minutes to come out. We got the beef chili oil noodles with wide noodles. You can tell that their noodles are made fresh, in house, and are hand pulled. Perfectly chewy! Great flavor in the oil and beef. My favorite was the ragrant pork noodles. The image of it looks like it would be very spicy, but it actually isn't too spicy! It has a small kick, and the broth actually has some sour to it which cuts back the spice. It's a unique broth and I really enjoyed it. The noodles were also fresh and perfectly chewy. The cucumber salad was different than I'm used to. Pretty vinegar heavy, but the pickled flavor and acidity was very helpful in cutting back some of the oil and grease in the noodle dishes. We were in and out quickly and felt satisfied! A huge highlight is definitely their noodles. Would return when wanting a quick meal with great noodles!

I am a huge fan of the noodles here -- very wide, flat and chewy. They also do not skimp out on the amount of food that they give you. The portions here are HUGE! The service is also very quick and they make sure to seat you right away and bring your food out in a timely manner. I went when it was busy and I was very satisfied with the efficiency. Pork Wonton with Chili Sauce - 9/10. The dumpling were so juicy and the pork inside was very flavorful. The chili sauce added a nice kick of spice and was so savory. Braised Chicken with Flat Noodles - 8/10. The flat noodles were the best part of the dish and honestly it wasn't spicy! Numb Spicy beef flat Noodles - 10/10. This dish had a strong kick to it! It was spicy but the best part was that the spice did not overwhelm the flavor. The wide chewy noodles soak up every bit of the rich savory sauce making each bite so flavorful. They also have so many toppings other than the beef too which I liked.

It is in the same plaza as the popular porridge place and New China Tofu (where they used to sell Stinky tofu - but that is for a different story). The place is roomy and clean, the service was decent, friendly enough but we had to ask for sharing bowls and spoons. The order is the usual QR code so you order online, but pay offline. They have plenty of selection, but since it was just the 2 of us, and based on the name, noodles should be must orders. We had a soupy version (hot and sour fish) and a dry version (spicy ground pork), with a side order of cold appetizer (shredded tofu skin salad). The cold appetizer was a bit salty, but the overall flavor was pretty good. We added more chili oil that is available on the table. There was a wait between the appetizer and the next dish, we finished the appetizer before the first noodle arrived. Hot & Hour Fish - we selected the hand-cut noodles. The noodles were thick with just the right amount of chewiness. The broth was amazing with just enough kick, not too spicy. The fish was tender and the tofu was wonderful. The only "veggie" was the pickled/perserved mustard greens. We really enjoyed this one. Dry/Stir spicy noodles with ground pork - we selected the thick flat noodles for this. The presentation was beautiful and we could smell the chili powder and it was wonderful. A bit oily, which i understand as we need the oil to get the sauce mixed and noodles do not all stick together. The kick for this dish is actually less than the fish noodles, and not too salty, which was great after the salty appetizer and the strong flavor of the fish noodles. We did not finish and had to bring them back home. And we know we will be back!

I remember this place used to be Chef Chengdu, but recently closed down and rebranded to become Super Potato. Here's my take and my experience on this place, as a first timer thus far: - The food was honestly out of this world, and when I say the portions are BIG - they were actually enough to cover the container (and even more). That's how much they have. I got the beef tripe with Chinese broccoli and rice, and while I had wished they included more Chinese broccoli, the sauce of the beef tripe was SO pungent and aromatic that I was able to sauce up my rice and enhance the flavor of my plain white rice. - The hospitality of this place was quite well - the waitresses are very attentive to each detail. Our requests were met conveniently without any hesitation. Ambience was also pretty well maintained. I'm definitely gonna come back and have more!! A budget friendly place forsure :)

The concept might be simple but the possibilities are endless! I went absolutely overboard with my proteins (both beef and lamb), enoki mushroom, napa cabbage, tripe, baby corn, fish balls filled with roe and tofu skin. I got mild flavor so it was not the kind of spicy that I could not tolerate. Each topping also soaked up all the flavorful broth. On the positive side, they do offer a large variety of ingredients to choose from. When my bowl was served, I realized it wasn't the one I had ordered. They had accidentally switched my bowl with another customer's. Later, while eating, I came across some of the marinated cilantro beef, which looked raw. I asked the server if it could be cooked a bit longer, but she explained that it was supposed to be pink. I tried a small piece, but the texture was still very tender, which made me uncomfortable. It also didn't have the texture of what I expected from beef. My cousin also had an issue with her bowl. The lotus root slices were cut fairly thick, so after cooking, it was still undercooked and crunchy. Overall, it was a disappointing experience due to the cleanliness concerns, the order mix-up, and the food quality. There are plenty of ingredient options, but I don't see myself returning.

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to grab dinner around 6:00 PM. The wait was around an hour, so be very prepared if you're coming during the dinner rush. This spot is located where the majority of the Asian restaurants are in Milpitas, so it's safe to say the parking can get a bit hectic and intense. The interior of the place is very bright, modern, and clean. There is a lot of seating for a small space, but the reason they are so busy has a lot to do with the number of people wanting to check this spot out. When you sit down, you scan their virtual menu via QR code and order there instead of through a server. You have the choice to order on one phone as a group or separately. Between my friend and me, we ordered a beef mint salad, fried tofu, confit mushrooms, and truffle mushroom rice. I will say that when we first got the fried tofu and confit mushrooms, we were quite surprised by the small portions compared to the price. That said, they were delicious, but skippable if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck. What I absolutely would recommend is their truffle mushroom fried rice. This might have been my best bite this month. It was so savory, the mushrooms hit perfectly, and the coating of butter on the rice was supreme. It was $28 for a bowl, but it was a good value to split between two people. Overall, this place had great, fast service (our food came out in under 10 minutes), a nice ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food.

Milpitas is the spot for Noodles…read more.. In the last couple of years there are a decent amount of Chinese Noodle spots that have opened. Each one of them are slightly unique, and they're all really good! If the high ratings weren't a accurate indicator, then the packed venues are definitely a conformation. Henan Noodle isn't the biggest venue, it's actually on the smaller side; small mom & pop operation. The place is charming, clean and inviting with a minimalist decor. The restaurant is located in a small plaza off N Milpitas Blvd. I forsee challenging parking during peak times; the lot is not that big either. The service was fine. Everything necessary was already laid out on the table, well organized and ready to dine in; bowls, chopsticks, cups, napkins, soup spoons and cold water. Scan the QR code on the table and place your order. Food came out in a timely manner. I'm not sure if lady running the place (at the time of our visit) speaks English; she gave us instructions in Chinese, I'm guessing Mandarin.
