This has slowly becoming one of my favorite noodle places. I wanted to try another restaurant in the plaza, but the wait time was over an hour. So I decided to check out DH Noodles instead and that was one of the best decisions I made. Their skewer was seasoned well, tasty, and good portion size. Got 5 skewers from one order. The fried shrimp roll is simply amazing. Super crispy and flavorful. Honestly, I could probably order 3 of those and call it a night. The menu was a little hard for me to navigate because I don't know much Chinese, but i got the meat lovers noodle. And It was very very surprised that they came out with a large bowl of meat and I had to grab a handful for my soup. It was almost like a claw game or something, like try your best to get as much meat as you can in one scoop lol. Very full and very happy with the place. I actually went back there again the next night!
Solid beef noodle soup! Beef roll was a bit mid tho, lacking a bit of flavor. Friendly and fast service. Would come back for the noods!
After coming back here the first time, I knew I had to return the second time and bring a friend! Whenever I get noodles at a restaurant, I always think about how I can recreate the dish at home, but I don't think I could recreate this one - the texture of the noodles is perfectly chewy (clearly different from store-bought noodles and you can taste the difference). This restaurant is usually pretty busy on weekend lunches, but emptier on weekday nights - Milpitas Square can be hit or miss with parking, expect to circle around the lot for a bit on weekend peak times. You order on your phone through a QR code, and the service is quite fast. They have a free tea station where you can fill as many cups of hot tea as you want - last time they had red date tea and it was very warm and comforting. We ordered the beef noodles (hand picked quantity!!), lamb mutton on the bone, and pao mo (stew with the bread soaked in). Each dish was a fairly large portion and can definitely be shareable if ordering family style. If you're looking for some fun vibes and stares at your table, order the noodle option where they'll literally bring out a gigantic bowl of meat -- however much you grab in one handful is how much you keep and eat. Personally I have small hands, but my dad got a satisfactory amount. The meat is all fresh and tender. I recommend getting the thinnest noodle, which is also their recommended one, as it is the perfect al dente. The broth was rich in flavor yet not oily, very soothing to sip. Can't eat northwestern Chinese cuisine without the lamb! The lamb mutton on the bone. It is tender and gamey, with some fatty bits that are really delicious. Dip in cumin for some good flavor. The pao mo offers a lot more ingredients in the soup - glass noodles, tofu noodles, wood ear mushroom, lamb, plenty of cilantro, and of course the mo (which is the pita flatbread cut up into small pieces) which soaks up the broth flavor. It's a filling and comforting dish, unique to the regular noodle dishes. I've shown the photo of the handful of meat to so many friends and their jaws dropped each time -- will be coming back again and bringing more friends to show them the real thing!
Tucked away a corner of the Milpitas Plaza is this spot selling authentic mutton noodles. It's pretty nicely decorated and quite spacious, with service that primarily caters to a chinese audience! As for the dishes themselves, my party of 6 primarily ordered noodles and a couple side dishes. Unfortunately, my noodles veered a little on the bland side, both in spice and in salt. As for the side dishes, the table favorite surprisingly was the cabbage, and the calamari which was different from your usual breaded version. They also had a whole leg of mutton you could order and eat off the bone which I feel was more for the gimmick than anything but was pretty neat! I would say personally that while this restaurant has solid noodle dishes, it is unfortunately not to my palate. With so many choices in the plaza I would not likely come back but it is at least worth a try!
Classic LZ noodle adequate, broth flavor descent albeit on the salty side. The northwest style minced pork noodle soup just ok, not the specialty here. Grilled lamb skewers adequate, seasoning a bit on the light side compared to most places. Overall prices very affordable
The workers here are nice and friendly. The restaurant is very nice with the decorations, music, and it's also very clean. They have a golded metal plated with a QR code on it to scan to place order at every table. The food here are really delicious. I got to try a veriade of food. My favorite dish was the spicy noodles soup meat lover. The spicy level 1 has a good little kick which made it taste flavorful. At first when they brought out the soup I was wondering where's the meat. Then they brought out a plate and gloves, after that they brought out a big bowl of meat and tell me to put the glove on and grab an hand full. That was an new experience to me. Their Pork Hamburger was so soft on the outside and I love how they seasoned the meat. I dip it in my spicy noodle soup and it tastes so good. The lamb ribs was so tender the meat fell right off the bone but I didn't like how its kind of genie. Their lamb taste gamey. I love how they seasoned their Lamb Skewers. It's not even salty. They even offered free tea.
I'm starting to notice the bay area being a place where noodles come to shine and DH Noodles doesn't disappoint. The noodle soups here are well made with rich soupy flavor and cheating noodles. With tasty appetizers, you're in for a treat. Quick tip, their "spicy" version of noodle soups appears to just be their noodle soup with a few scoops of their chili oil, which is available on the tables.
Very yum! Uber was doing two bowls for the price of one and I had to try. Was filling and the noodles had a lot of bounce. Have my dad the other for dinner and it was dad approved! Meat and garnishes were a nice touch. Only thing I wish it had was chop sticks and utensils but otherwise good.
We were craving for noodle soup in a cool day and here we came. DH decoration is more than just a usual noodle place; it really tries to emphasize its noodle-making specialty. It has a big bowl of fake noodles on display, and around the corner of the room, there's a showing of a variety of thicknesses that their noodles can be made into. We ordered the grilled lamb leg with the cumin seasoning. In this north-western region of Chinese cuisine, cumin is like the only seasoning other than red chili pepper flakes. The meat was tender and the amount was sumptuous for 3 people to share with. I don't want too many carbs for lunch, and luckily, they had just the dish. Lamb stew with veggie! It came with slices of fatty lamb meat that is soft, and lots of veggie such as bean curd shreds, seaweed, fresh day lily and some vermicelli. The broth was flavorful and heartwarming. I ate half a bowl and it was already very filling. The menu offers a member discount price for about 15%. If you want to be a member, you have to load up a certain amount and use that as prepay for the next meal. Our table of 7 ate about $175 of food, so it made sense for us to be a member and front load with $200, then we actually just paid about $150 with the member discount and we could use the remaining $50 next time. They have a self-service sweet and sour plum juice station near the cashier. Service was good, although they tend to have some mix-up on delivering the right food. For a big table we didn't want to order on the phone as it was confusing, so we asked the waitress to take our orders and we asked loads of questions there, she was helpful and friendly.
We went here because we saw that they had the one grab of meat challenge, where you grab as much meat in one handful as you can to put in your noodle soup! It's around $22 I believe to participate, and highly worth it. My dad's one grab amounted to like 4 servings of meat, so plenty to share. The noodle soup here is also quite flavorful and comforting. Great mala flavor. Other items were flavorful too, but I'd skip on the Grilled Gigot which was a tad dry and overpriced. Service was friendly but not super attentive or anything. Decently full here on a Friday dinner, as this is located in a super bustling plaza. Good option if you're craving noodles in the area. Also very casual. Would come back!
Yummy noodle place located in a bustling food and shopping plaza. Very authentic Chinese soup broth with fresh noodles. I felt like the spicy sauce kind of drowned out the broth flavor due to the mala. Portions for the side are very good and the spicy beef was very tasty. Ordering was quick online
This place just genuinely is so good. it hits so hard. my boyfriend got the one where you scoop a whole handful of meat. I got just the signature. I love that you can choose your type of noodles. so much comes with the order of the bok choy. and the lab skewers are so good and oily in the perfect way. Lots of tables here. you order and pay on the QR code phone. service was fast. Tvs are on playing cooking videos. will come again !

Best solo meal in the plaza. Of course I come here with friends and family but it is my fav solo ritual to come here on a Saturday morning and eat my fav XL wide noodles (vegetarian). They are pretty generous with the bok choy and feel soooo satisfied after finishing the entire bowl but I never feel heavy or bloated after eating here. The service is very kind and super efficient. They offer complimentary plum juice at the front counter, just help yourself. With friends I have ordered the eggplant, skewers, and big plate chicken, but the veggie XL wide noodles will always be my favorite food. In the last 2 months I probably came here at least once a week. read more

Spicy Lanzhou noodles 5/5 - I liked the flavor of this. Felt a bit oily. Beef could've been more tender and there wasn't much beef. It wasn't as spicy as it looked. Dh noodles is a new noodle spot in the mccarthy plaza. They serve a variety of noodles and u order via the online website and pay upfront Service is your typical chinese restaurant. They have a dish where u can also wear a glove and grab a handful of meat? Seemed interesting. But I just got the original handpulled noodles with thick noodles (not spicy) and added my own spice from the chili on the table Overall pretty good, no complaints but also mot eye opening. read more
DH Noodles & Grill delivered a solid takeout experience. I ordered the Big Plate Chicken, which had that numbing, Sichuan-style spice that builds with every bite. The portion size was generous for the price, making it a great value. One of their standout dishes--the viral noodle bowl where you grab the meat with a gloved hand--looked intriguing, but I didn't get to try it since I opted for takeout. Definitely something to consider for next time. Overall, a good spot for flavorful, spicy dishes, and I'd be interested in dining in to experience more of their menu. read more
Walking in they greet you in mandarin and you get smacked with an amazing aroma of Chinese spices. The employees are nice and they are attentive. They offer you water with lemon and even their plum juice. You order on their app. The app was very easy to use and one of the best apps I've used before. Once ordering the noodles came after 3 minutes so fast. The other things took longer but they are known for their noodle soups. The noodles were chewy and they have many size varieties that you can choose from. The beef roll was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed it. The actual skin was nice and crispy. The dessert, we got fried milk with condensed milk. If you haven't tried it before I highly recommend it. It's jelly like with a hint of sweetness. A nice treat after having some numbing noodles. My wife and I were craving broth-y noodle soup, so we tried DH Noodles & Grill. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated by two waitresses. We ordered through the QR code, and our food came quickly. I ordered original Lanzhou Beef Noodles with thick noodles, and my wife ordered the spicy version. I enjoyed the light herbal flavor with their chewy noodles. I plan on coming back and exploring the various soups, as well as experimenting with different noodle sizes. read more

Solid casual dinner spot with large portion sizes! Service was also very quick and attentive. We got wide noodles for both our dishes but would love to come back to try the extra-wide. I also loved the scallion pancake wraps! Very crispy with just the right amount of sauce. read more

Whenever I try a new restaurant I try to order their signature dish, and I'm glad I did that here. I liked the easiness of ordering off a QR code as well as the ability to customize your order that much. I really enjoyed the appetizers here specifically the wood ear mushroom salad. Very fresh and firm. The main noodle dishes we ordered were good also, but I feel like the only flavorful part was the broth. It had almost a smoky and bony taste but it was delicious. However, the meats and vegetables were bland and the dishes wouldn't amount to much if there was no broth. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly! Not much opportunity for customer service since ordering is done off a QR code but it was still solid. This place is maybe 30-40 mins away from me but I'd still be down to come back and try more foods from here :) read more
Clear lamb broth/stew has added ground garlic, has extra smooth savory feel to it. The thinly sliced radish were nice touch. I think next time I would just get the version without chilli oil and just add it myself since they have it on the table. Compared to another well known hand pulled noodles chain in the area, I actually find the noodles here a bit harder and not as springy. But maybe it was a busy Friday night. Their BBQ cumin beef skewers were very nicely done, super hot from the grill, fatty bits were crispy, very flavorful. read more

This place was way beyond my expectations! They had so many noodle options to choose from, but my favorite are their wide flat ones. The soup base is good and so is the 红烧肉 side. The beef challenge was pretty fun and unique, and honestly the quality of the meat isn't that bad for the price. The ladies were very nice and helped explain the menu to us and what dishes they recommend based on our pallets. We went during lunch on a Saturday so it wasn't too busy. Interior is pretty clean as well. Will definitely come again to try some other noodle dishes. The sides are also pretty good too, so give those a try! read more

There's a QR code on each table. Scan, order, and food comes out pretty quick. Free and delicious appetizers. All the chili oil seemed to be running out or low by dinner time. It was flavorful, but I wish it was spicy or had a kick. No kick at all. Lanzhou noodles were good. The soup wasn't the best I've had, but it was good on a cold day. Their chili oil noodles had good flavor. They had a lot of options for their noodles and it was difficult to choose without pictures, but I chose wide noodles and it wasn't the wider belt one that I wanted. Both noodles were still good and chewy. read more
Good food, good value. The Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle soup had a light but flavorful broth. The hand pulled noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked. Beef had good amount of fat to meat ratio. The spicy chili was spicy but perfect addition to the broth. Definitely enjoyed this soup. I like the thinner consistency compared to the more popular thicker braised beef noodle. The scallion pancake with slice beef were really good too. Crispy thin pancakes with a thin layer of sweet sauce and beef slices rolled in and cilantro. The lamb kabobs on skewers had the usual Chinese spice combination with chili. Didn't taste the cumin though. Marked as spicy but it only had a mild kick. Meat was good with both leaner and fatty portions. Had a little bit of tendon. The DH Crinkle Cut fries were just ok. They were more potato wedges and not crinkle shaped. Potatoes were thick and kind of hard inside. Sauce or paste on top was good, though. Slightly spicy but had other spices in it not just chili paste. Glad we ordered the brown sugar glutinous rice cakes. Sooo good and perfect ending to a spicy meal. Soft and slightly chewy rice cakes sprinkled with brown sugar and what looks like powdered and crushed peanuts on top in a shallow pool of dark brown sugar sauce. The brown sugar sauce had a hint of molasses taste so it was not overwhelmingly sweet. Reasonably priced. Quick service. Nice staff. Bright dining area. Will definitely go back to try the non soup noodles. read more

Beef Noodles solid. I really liked the broth and the noodles. I would say they give quite a lot of noddles and the meat could definitely be better. Definitely recommend the spice one, I just had stomach problems. Service was excellent though. It's crowded since it just opened. The food got out in a timely manner. Servers were nice. They topped up water without having to call them over. You can ask for sauce and chili oil too. They got cool decorations. with a modern Chinese vibe too read more
Food: - beef noodle soup: the beef was tender and soft, and the broth was subtle but flavorful. I had only a few bites but enjoyed it a lot. I just wish there were more beef. - bean noodles with chili sauce: the chili was flavorful and the cold dish made it enjoyable with the beef noodle soup. - wide noodles with house special sauce: it was okay. The sauce wasn't as flavorful as the one used for the bean noodles. Maybe there wasn't enough of it or maybe the sauce didn't stick nicely on the wide noodles as it would have on thinner noodles. Service was fast and responsive. The space was clean with plenty of tables to accommodate a variety of party sizes. read more

I looooove hand pulled noodles and let me just say this is definitely top 5 places in the bay! Everyone loved the cumin lamb and pepper noodle plate (flat noodle), pork chow mein (thick noodle), and we also got the big plate chicken with the wide noodle! We finished the complimentary apps (wood ear mushroom, shredded potato, and cucumbers) so fast we ordered them as a whole dish. Spicy as heck but grear flavor, love the vinegar in the wood ear! Noodles were chewy, the staff was quick, and sat us down pretty fast for a party of 5 on a Monday night. It's a fairly quiet restaurant with some instrumental Jay Chou music playing in the background.. yeah it's good, go go go! read more

Came here for a weekday early lunch. We got the lanzhou beef noodles (original). Do you know that I made in the house and we're going to delicious but the soup was too salty to really enjoy by itself. The beef was good, but nothing special. We also got the lamb kebab. Flavor was good but the meat was far too fatty and we could barely finish it. In hindsight, lamb chop was probably better value. We also got the sweet-and-sour spareribs. Again the flavor was good but the meat was super hard and dry I really enjoyed the pickle appetizers. The shredded potato was super delicious. The interior was clean, bright, and spacious. Service was fast (a little aggressive in clearing dishes but I can respect the hustle) read more

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of table there. Big parking lot. There's a QR code on each table and customer order from qR. The food came fast. Portion is decent and flavor was really good. I wish the table is bigger so we can fit more food and make it easier to pack food when we couldn't finish. read more
Aside from the hectic parking situation during weekends, this location is great and very much comparable to their Cupertino location. Service is fast, efficient, and pretty friendly. Menu is on a QR code in which you can order your food. Most of the dishes are carb heavy or protein heavy. They offer noodle soups, noodle stir frys, and meat a la carte. In terms of vegetables, theres only two or three vegetable items. *Beef noodle soup with extra wide noodles- The noodles are a bit more al dente, chewier, and doughier than I would have liked. For this dish in particular, I would recommend their thick noodles instead. The beef cubes are super juicy, melt in your mouth tender. The soup base is flavorful with all that beefy goodness and slightly sweet. *Crispy lamb- this is a must order if you love lamb. The lamb chops are crispy, fatty, and generously seasoned. I'm not a lamb person, but this dish I would gladly finish on my own. *Pork stir fried noodle with extra wide noodles- This was soo good! The extra wide noodles in this dish were exceptional. The noodles were soft, chewy, and silky especially coated in the stir fry sauce. The pork slices were tender and added as a nice protein to the noodles. The bell peppers were sweet and snappy. The sauce is fragrant and savory with slight sweet touch. This paired with the chili oil is absolutely heavenly. I would say definitely come here for their beef noodle soup and crispy lamb. Their beef noodle soup is far superior than QQ noodle's and they offer a variety of noodle type options which really changes the texture of a dish dramatically. My wife and I come here almost every two weeks, and honestly, it feels like a flavor trip straight to Northwest China (my wife's hometown)--about 90% authentic, which is super impressive! The menu offers a great selection of noodles, grilled items, and regional specialties. Every dish we've tried--from hand-pulled noodles to perfectly seasoned lamb skewers--has been consistently delicious. The portions are very generous; 3 dishes here easily covers both lunch and dinner for the two of us. Spending $50-$60 for such amazing food with large portions is truly a great deal in the Bay Area. read more
