It's a hidden gem in the Evergreen area. Way better than commercialized Panda Express. I'm so sad I can't gate keep this business because honestly the food is too good to keep a secret! The front desk worker is always the same woman; she gets my order and that's all I need! No need for special how are you doing, nice to see you, how's everything nonsense- she's got customers always coming in and they're always busy! Those who know- KNOW. But here's a tip: the phone is unreliable- your best bet for an order would be to come in person**** Portion servings are always way more than you need- there's a TON of value for the price point they give; one of the top reasons of why I always keep coming back. The food is delicious! Definitely recommend the bbq chicken fried rice and sweet and sour pork. Seating area is more so just for waiting for pickup. No sit down and eat since tables are stacked up. Omgggggg talk about love at first bite. I will keep this short and simple. It's authentic. It's old school. It's delicious. Huge portions. It's very reasonably priced!!! I can't believe I'm just reviewing my local Chinese takeout. I've been coming here for years. Food is average but portions are huge. Today I ordered 4 entrees and the total was around $60. Prices are creeping up as of late but it's still a decent value. You can feed a family of 5 adults and then some for leftovers. My Ratings: + Salt and pepper spareribs is what got me to frequent this establishment as they are greasy good. Any of their salt and pepper dishes are very good here. (5 stars) + Orange chicken has a little spice as far as for kids but I find it sweet and crispy for adults. But overnight or if you have a long drive back, it softens up and you lose the crispness. (4 stars) + Any combo item here is very generous in portion but I prefer the single entree and just make rice at home (4 stars) - Beef chow fun is a humongous portion but you better consume it all or else the rice noodles will stick together the following day. This order unfortunately had a strong beefy flavor which my wife couldn't take. Make sure to take picture of the menu as the don't hand any out. Price on the website is not accurate but still very good price for the amount of food you get. I ordered party trays for daughter's wedding reception as went for the medium size and trays were filled to the rim. Today we went with honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper fish fillets and 3 item combo. Food was all great and the amount of food you get is enough for two. Yes this is no Panda Express. I used to come here often in high school for their cheap combo plates. Sadly, their quality has went downhill. The place used to be well-kept, but now it feels empty and has a funky odor. Their orange chicken and sweet and sour pork tasted more like deep-fried breading soaked in sauce than the actual meat. I couldn't finish the chow mein because it was soggy. This is hands down still one of my fave and go-to spots for cheap and GOOD Chinese food! Even with the unfortunate inflation situation, the prices here for the amount of food can't be beat. The food has generous portions and always comes out piping and I mean PIPING HOT! My go-to is the beef chow fun (hold the bean sprouts and carrots). The walnut prawns are also good too but sometimes, they're skimpy with the sauce. I have also recently tried the crab rangoons and while they're not my fave since I prefer thinner wonton wrappers, the cream cheese rangoon filling is generous (as expected). The orange chicken portion is also huge and to me, tastes better if it's air fried afterwards to achieve necessary and respectable levels of crispiness. As for the service, they're usually pretty prompt on the estimated food times if you order in-person or over the phone. Now if you order by phone, be prepared to potentially wait because of a busy tone and have the patience to call back since they don't have call waiting (yeah, even to this day (side eye roll)). But this aside, the food is good and has big portions so it may be worth the calling game. The inside is actually kind of big since there are no tables to eat at but it's a fast-food joint so no surprises there. But after a recent experience, I'm disappointed with how the front-end service was handled, and how the business responded afterward. About a month ago, I called ahead to place a takeout order under my name and phone number. When my parents went to pick it up, the woman at the front (who also answers the phone) told them there was no order under that name or number. My parents repeated the order and even pointed to a set of to-go boxes on the counter that matched the number of items of what we had ordered. They asked if she could check with the kitchen or double-check the food on the counter, but she didn't. She just said the order wasn't in the system, and that was it. We had to leave without the food because we couldn't wait to reorder. After that, I noticed today that when I try calling from my number, someone picks up and immediately hangs up. I tried calling five times and it all ended with me being hung up on. I tested it by calling from a different phone number -- and they answered right away. It really feels like my number was flagged, even though the person at fault isn't me. All I did was try to place a normal phone order and actually pick it up. The woman working at the front seemed overwhelmed and unsure how to handle the situation, and I honestly feel like she needs more support. This isn't really about her -- it's about the fact that the business should make sure their staff has the help they need and someone they can turn to for issues like this, especially during busy hours or when dealing with customer service issues. It's not fair to her, and it's not fair to the customers. I still like the food, but I can't trust that my orders will be handled correctly -- or that I'll ever be able to call in again. So one of my wife's co-workers ordered some party trays for her Christmas party last Friday, and YES, I'm an instant fan. The Walnut Prawns were craveable, and the prawns themselves were huge. I made my way back a couple time because it was so darn good. They also ordered Peppered beef, and that was also really good as well. There was also chow mein and fried rice, but I saved my stomach space for the prawns, beef, and other good eats available. Solid spot! Portions are great considering the price. There can be some hit or miss items but a lot of good choices and pretty consistent once you find your favorites! Phone orders can be tough as the line is usually busy, so you may need to just order in-person. Parking isn't usually an issue in this plaza. This isn't a sit down and eat type of place at all - no tables or bathroom, just some chairs on the side while you're waiting. My favorites are the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings. Their wings are so crispy without the batter being too thick or tough! I've tried their S&P fish but the batter wasn't as good in my opinion. No complaints about their beef chow fun! On the other hand, I did order a medium-sized party tray of the chow mein from them before and it was lacking flavor. Ordered the walnut shrimp and egg rolls (comes with pork, they don't offer veggie) on a Saturday evening. Tables and seats were stacked against the walls (almost like storage), not sure why they even have this if it's only a takeout restaurant... the seating was good for the numerous customers waiting for their orders though. No decor or menu posted, just a print out menu taped to the front counter, a very uninviting atmosphere, even if no dine-in option. But just a 15 minute wait for my order and the food was fantastic. Some of the best walnut shrimp I ever had, not too sweet or saucy, but definitely flavorful, cooked perfectly, and good sized. The egg rolls were nice and crisp, freshly made, and filled with tasty veggies and ground pork. All of this at an affordable price. I love Evergreen panda! It's a great fast food takeout Chinese place to go. Since a pandemic, they have been takeout only but the food is good. It's definitely not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it's fast food takeout places go, this is definitely a step above. it fits right in that nice sweet spot between fast food and sit down. The portions are huge and tasty. We've been here at least a dozen times and have always been satisfied. FOOD: The food here is good. Always prepared fresh, we love the fried wontons with meat filling, the sweet-and-sour chicken, the noodles, and the sizzling rice soup. Their Kung pow chicken is not as saucy or spicy as I usually like it, but the chicken is great and high-quality. And of course, the amount of food you get is always worth it. I do enjoy the salt and pepper fish, but there are certain things we always go back to like the fried wontons which make for a great appetizer. SERVICE: Service is spotty. It's hard to predict when you can get a hold of them and when you cannot. They don't always answer their phone even if they are there. And interestingly, they are closed on Tuesdays. A lot of Asian places are closed on Mondays, but for some reason, they close on Tuesdays so it always kind of throws me off when I want good takeout on Tuesday. Still, it's worth putting up with the amount of food you get at a takeout place. COST: Great cost for the amount of food! Just look at the pictures and you'll see why it's worth it. Place was extremely unwelcoming. Upon coming in it being our first time we were completely lost on what to order because there wasn't exactly a clear menu and pricing for everything. Once I had figured out what to order the lady was staring at me and I had to look behind me to make sure there wasn't someone behind me. She has no emotion in her face and kept cracking her knuckles. She stares you in your eyes making it extremely unsettling and unnerving. She speaks into a microphone and it comes out a speaker which is set very low so you can barely hear. She doesn't seem capable enough to handle the job. I would ask her questions and she didn't respond with full comprehension or confidence. Her job being costumer service and being the only person you speak to doesn't make it favorable. We ordered and waited and say along the chairs on the wall very uncomfortably in the environment. Eventually having sat there for 10 minutes and asked how long it would be and she said 30 more minutes. A 40 minute wait for fast food seemed very unreasonable. Having said that we asked for a refund and left immediately. The place seems outdated and probably won't pass health inspection if they go back into that kitchen. read more
