Signature Chicken Big-Bus Miishien Soup
Karina S.

I shared the Signature Chicken Big-Bus Miishien Soup which was plenty of food for two. Noodles were very springy and chewy, and I loved the flavors of the broth. Very interesting serving of the dish, the broth came out with the noodles and toppings separate, then we poured everything in the broth bowl to heat it up. Super kind servers who explained the different menu items to us. The vegetarian option, a dry noodle Golden Triangle Soldiers Miishien was also quite good. QR code ordering and had a pretty quick and smooth dining experience.

the service staff here are great, they are very attentive and food comes out within a reasonable amount of time (~20 minutes). I like the sauce bar they have on the side, the portion is a good size but it's still a little bit pricey (upwards of $30 for a bowl). the ingredients are very fresh here, the flavor of the food was good, and the inside of the restaurant is a good space. I'd come back to try other dishes.

- big plaza with plenty of parking - sat at the large communal table in the middle - quick service! You order through the QR code - utensils and chili oil and pickled veggies at the center of the table (1) spicy beef noodle - the soup broth was delicious and rich in flavor, the rice noodles picked up the broth great

Great spot for Mifen! By far I think is my favorite spot. We got their pork intestine mifen and spicy ground pork mifen to try. Both bowls were flavorful, spicy, and had plenty of meat. You scan the qr to order through your phone and shortly after your hot howl of mifen will arrive. Definitely will come back to try other items on their menu.

Located right next to the AMC theater, it's hard to miss with all the neon lights and the massive screen out front. We finally got a chance to check it out, and since we were on a tight schedule before our movie, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. Service was efficient - we sat down, were served, finished two bowls of noodles, and were out within 45 minutes. This spot is especially comforting during the cold winter months. The only misstep was ordering for the first time without realizing the highly recommended dishes included Mala numbing seasoning, which isn't my preference. That said, the meat was incredibly tender, the noodles were cooked just right, and I loved the generous amount of chopped green onions and cilantro. I just wished there were a few more pieces of bok choy. I'd definitely come back to try a different soup base so I can fully enjoy the experience next time.

Lunch with my sister I love rice noodle and this one hit me hard! I love the rice noodles and the broth is amazingly spicy and delicious. It's a comfort food with a kick for me. You order through a QR code. The utensils are in the table drawer which is very smart, it makes the table not clatter. Cc payment is accepted. We'll be back soon!

Good spot to go if you like spicy rice noodles! Their menu is simple but their noodles pack a lot of spice and flavor. I got the braised beef noodle soup and was quite happy about the portion.

Ordered togo noodles, the food was okay, but guess what free side they offered? Dead fly!

Yunnan Fried Stuffed Tofu ($8.99)

Decently tasty noodle spot! Mom and I shared a stuffed tofu app and a bowl of noodles each. The yunnan stuffed tofu was like eating little delicious savory clouds! So good; I think I liked it more than the bowl of noodles I got. I got the spicy braised beef miishien which came with a few chunks of tender beef, an average portion of rice noodles, and a flavorful yet slightly overly salty broth. I highly recommend getting the less salt option for it. Service is bare minimum. A lot of the items you grab yourself (water, noodle toppings, etc.) You also order your food yourself via QR code in the table. We were sat in the communal long table upon entrance. A bit of an awkward arrangement if a stranger gets sat next to you.

Refreshing Cucumber Salad

If you're looking for an authentic Beijing style noodle house, this is it. I ordered the Signature chicken "Big Bus" Miishien Soup. They deliver a large heavy wooden platter of cold chicken (protected in Saran Wrap) along with various add ons like corn, mushroom, leafy greens, onion, cashews and a quail egg. It def reminded me somehow of being in a state sponsored foreign restaurant where everything is carefully measured out. The soup is ultimately delivered in a heavy large wooden bowl, and then there's another bowl for the noodles. I combined literally everything together, topped it off with my own concoction of toppings from their small sauce bar and voila! I also ordered the cold cucumber salad which I wouldn't urge anyone to order - the marinade was a little too much on the sweet side for me and the cucumber wasn't fresh or crunchy enough. Tofu skin dish is also pretty regular. Portions here are obviously large so be sure to account for that. Ordering process is by QR code per table so ideal if convenience is your thing. That's all.

Spicy Pork Intestine Mishien
Elise T.

Solid Yummy Yunnan Rice Noodles that meet expectations Food Quality: Standout dishes: Spicy Tofu Skin Salad and both mishien varieties delivered authentic flavors (Spicy Pork Intestine Mishien, Spicy Meat Paste Mishien) Minor drawback: Spicy broth was borderline greasy, good thing they are not too salty Portion surprise: Despite other reviews claiming small portions, we found them quite generous! Kid-friendly: Kid's Mishien was a hit with the little one Free dessert offer: They'll comp the Rose Flower Cake for a 5-star review (we obviously didn't take the offer ;-P) Service Experience: Friendly and attentive hostess and server Thoughtful timing: brought the kid's meal out first Value for Money: Generous portions left us completely satisfied Fair pricing for the quality and quantity Cleanliness: Needs attention: Water cups and utensils on the table were a bit greasy (likely post-lunch rush) Restroom: Okay clean but could use some improvement Note: Restroom cleanliness often reflects kitchen standards - something to keep an eye on

The noodle (miishien)? Amazing. The broth was pretty solid too. I didn't like the sides that much though. It wasn't bad, it was just very basic. Nothing stood out. The intestine was very good, except it was too salty for my preference. The line was long when we went, and they did have a yelp waitlist. However, I don't know if they went down the waitlist, because when we went back to hovering over by the entrance (30 min later), they were able to clear up 4 seats by the long (shared) table. They didn't call our names though. I was pretty sure there were more groups in waitlist after us too, but there were only people getting things to go after we sat down. Service was friendly, but it was confusing at first since we were sitting on the shared table. I didn't realize the water pitcher is for sharing between everyone.

Signature Wagyu Beef Big-Bus Miishien

Come early. It gets packed during lunch rush over the weekend. The food takes some time to come out too. You have to order from a QR code. I accidently selected Chinese and couldn't read the menu at alll, but we scanned on my husbands food and set the menu to English to work around that. We ordered the signature wagyu big bus miishien. It comes with rice noodles, wagyu and toppings. There is spicy oil and pickled veggies that can also be added to the soup. Without the spicy oil and pickled veggies , the soup itself can be a little bland. I wish the portion of toppings was larger , for example , the portion for wagyu was very tiny and it would have been better to add extra wagyu to the dish since my husband and I shared the dish. Overall, this is a unique spot for noodle soup. Haven't seen this type of dish before. Come early to avoid the crowds. Kids eat free from Monday to Thursday

My partner usually tries something different. They have curry rice and beef stew rice as well. Both pretty good. Personally they're too plain for me. A no thrills Korean restaurant specializing in their black bean sauce rice/noodles. We ordered: Fried Dumplings - minced pork and vegetables dumplings deep fried to perfection. The omelette was done right, not dry, but the black bean jajang sauce was really what made the dish. Beef Jjamppong - noodle soup with beef slices and mixed vegetables. Comforting bowel of needles with thinly sliced beef and cabbage. Jajangmyeon - their signature noodles with black bean sauce. Very umami and the noodles were done just right. Cheap (for nowadays) and good food, what else can you ask for?

It is straightforward with a good mix of udon, rice dishes, small bites, and drinks, which I really appreciated. The food felt delicate but still had layers of flavor. Nothing was heavy or overdone. The rice was one of my favorite parts. It was crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside, which made it so satisfying. The chicken karaage was also really good. Crispy, tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you order karaage. The only thing I would probably skip next time is the mixed sake drinks. They are fruity and fun, but they tasted like they were made with sugary syrup. So if you do not want a sugar bomb or you are watching sugar calories, I would stay away from those. The inside has a cozy feel that reminded me a little of something you would find in Japan, but with a bit of an American touch. It felt clean, casual, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive without making anything feel rushed. Also we had our son so they brought share plate without us even asking for him. I loved that they considered that. For the amount of food, the quality, and the overall experience, the prices felt well worth it. We will definitely be going back. It is one of those places that feels easy to recommend because the food is good, the menu makes sense, the service is warm, and the whole experience just works. We arrived around 5:50 PM and it wasn't busy but maybe 30 min in it was crowded and by the time we left there was a wait so plan to get there earlier. This was on a Wednesday as well.

The Nam Vang came with sliced pork, ground pork, and one prawn in a clean, savory broth--light but flavorful. The filet mignon pho was a solid upgrade: tender beef, silky noodles, and a broth that leaned richer but still easy to sip. Noodles had a nice bounce in both bowls. I was craving a vermicelli bowl or bánh mì too, but heads up--they only serve pho and noodle soups here. No rice plates or sandwiches. Still, if you're in the mood for Vietnamese comfort food, this spot delivers fast and clean.

Thank you to my bro and his fam for treating us out to some Mother's Day noods!!!…read more My bro and his family are massive fans of Kali Noodles + Tea Bar. Even with them moving out to the East Bay, they make periodic drives just to enjoy what KN has to offer. I've had one dining experience here previously and was not impressed. This lead to not returning. Fast forward 2.5 years or so, here I was again. Our large party of 9 arrived at opening hours and the owners were so very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the condiments were in tip top shape. Our family's order was massive. We started the meal with xiu mai [Vietnamese pork meat balls] and Chinese donut sticks. This then continued with mi do bien, filet mignon and beef ball pho, & a variety of nam vang noodle versions. The great thing about Kali Noodles are the multiple options of noodles they provide. There are a number of combinations that could be made with the 6 offerings. The food was surprisingly really good- so much better than what my first visit was. The bowls were presented neatly but plated in a way where the large chunks of lettuce made the bowls seem a lot more fuller that it really was. The noodle soups also consisted a lot more broth than noodles. Having said that, the egg noodles are really really good!! The restaurant cooks them perfectly- chewy with a slight bite that keeps you wanting more and more. Hu tieu dai was unfortunately too mushy in texture for my liking. 4 stars overall. Customer service from the owners were exceptional. They were attentive to each person's order and were so welcoming. The food was good but maximize the deliciousness by strictly going for the thin egg noodles. You will not be disappointed and this recommendation is coming from a person who typically steers clear of this. I'd happily return.
