I definitely had high expectations for Q-pot, but it was honestly disappointing. The service was not good for a slow Wednesday night. I just felt like we were bothering them asking for things. We just got the kbbq. I really liked the sides and I felt like they had more to offer than other kbbq places. It was also nice that we got to order on the iPad at the table. The meat that we got was not that good, it was really chewy and full of fat, maybe their premium meat is better but it's still pricey for the regular regardless.

This is our favorite all you place, best meat quality. Our favorites is their beef bulgogi. Friendly staff and very clean tables. Usually the wait time is not that long.

I gave this place another try since it close by. But just not what it used to be. Prices have come down. You can get bbq and hot pot for $25 weekdays for lunch so the was the deal that also got me to try Qpot again. Quality of the food not so good. Used to come in just for the Sal chi beef in Liu of the galbi as that is only offered at dinner or pay more. The kimchi and cucumber did not look so good or fresh. It tasted sour. The tofu seems off and stale. Only saving grace was the broth to tonkatsu not bad. Place also run down the dirty. The control for hot pot was sitting on the floor. Only one server for the floor granted it was Monday so slow lunch crowd

We went to Qpot for my husband's birthday yesterday and he got 50% off his meal! When you walk into Qpot there is an iPad to add yourself to the list and you get a text when your table is ready. We were greeted warmly by not only the young lady who sat us but our waiter as well. We quickly received our drinks and the food came out right away. One of my favorite things about Qpot is the sauce bar, which is always kept clean and fully stocked. All of the meats were very well marinated and seasoned. We had a great time and will be back.

I had a massive craving for Korean BBQ which absolutely hit the spot. We ordered pretty much everything off the menu, and every single thing was delicious. Let's talk about the Sauce Bar, this is my favorite part! I love being able to head to the bar and mix up my own "special sauce." Unlimited Everything! Aside from the alcohol of course, everything is unlimited. It's the perfect place to go when you're starving and want to try a bit of everything and the price was decent. The staff here is amazing. They were constantly checking up on us, making sure we had what we needed, and they changed our grill frequently without us even having to ask. It makes the whole experience so much smoother. Thank goodness I was with my sister and my girlfriend because they did all the heavy lifting with the cooking! If it were up to me, I probably would have burned everything on the grill, but they kept the food coming out perfectly. Overall I would say a phenomenal experience. If you're in San Jose and want great food, a fun environment, and a staff that actually takes care of you, this is the place. I'll definitely be back!

My wife and I tried this place. We figure we'll try something that we can't get in sac. We debated on this place or seapot. Honestly I regret not getting seapot. The food quality wasn't as fresh as you think. You can tell once they drop the food at the table. I got some fries which was old. Customer service was good. Just the food wasn't worth the price. Even boiling point is better. lol. Here is a picture of the Cajun fries. lol. McDonald fries are better.

A great local spot if you live on the east side of SJ. They do hotpot and kbbq for anyone who likes variety. Tons of meat selection to choose from. I've been here a bunch of times, but this review will be for Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. We came around 6pm and they weren't full yet, which was a surprise, but no complaints here! It did later pick up though, so just like any popular spot, come early. Our server was super attentive which is always a great thing. She was refilling our waters and changing our grills. We also kept refilling the kimchi! This place, you order off the iPad at the end of the table so make sure to have the pro of your group sit there so they can efficiently add items so that things come out consistently. Overall a great social setting for friends and family.

Used to live close by and go all the time. We went back for the first time in 4 years and it was just as good as remembered. I love this place because you offer on a tablet and the server brings the food. That way you don't have to wait to place your next order. They also have an amazing sauce bar and multiple recommendations on sauces that are all worth trying. We went during the afternoon and got there a hour after opening. It was busy but the big rush came after we sat down. Regardless the service was great and there is plenty of space at the table to order lots of food and enjoy! I recommend going for lunch as the prices are better than most KBBQ around.

We came at 7pm today. The restaurant was big and had plenty of seating. We ordered through the tablet on the table and the food came out really quick. There's a sauce station where you can make your own mix. The meat was decent for the price. Both the mushroom and lettuce were fresh and crisp. We had a party of four and totally it was $170 for the whole table, not included the tip. The service was so nice, servers were alway smiling and attentive, brought everything we needed right away. Definitely coming back here with my friends!!

Man... if you decide to do hot pot and Korean bbq, it's too much! You have to concentrate on 1 task and it gets overwhelming. We just had our hubbies cook, but they neglected their hot pot. Lots of meat, fast service, and you order through iPad. They should color code the hot pot meats and Kbbq meats, sometimes we get confused. Beef tongue always a favorite! Long wait, but be sure to add your name to the waitlist ahead of time.

Q-Pot is my top favorite among the two other places I've tried. I like that they do not skimp on ingredients, have a generous sauce bar and don't have unnecessary rules that prevent you from having a good time. I love the QR ordering system. What I'd REALLY love for them to work on is cleanliness and hygiene. I have visited them more than 5 times now and the hygience scene has only deteriorated. Dirty I pads, food stains all around, hot pot remote controls just unclean and hanging off the tables. On my last visit, one of the temperature remote controls was just hanging off from the table exposing the velcro and the strong velcro ruined my sequined top. Also, sometimes their tom yum soup flavor can be really watered down. So I order another one from the I pad and mix in some more ingredients. Make some strong tom yum broth you guys!! If they work on this, they are easily the best hot pot in South Bay.

The brownie they use for birthday freebies
    Elizabeth N.

Came here for a birthday celebration. They don't do much for birthdays--just sing for you and put a candle on the brownie that comes with the free dessert--but it was still a nice touch. The meat quality is solid, though keep in mind it's all self-cook. The servers don't help much at all, so if you're not a grill pro (like us ), be ready for some burnt pieces. For hotpot broths, I tried the kimchi but didn't love it--it was too bland and just sour. My friend's tom yum had more kick, spicier and slightly more flavorful. But the real winner? The healthy herbal broth. If you like Little Sheep Hotpot original broth, you'll love this one too! Definitely getting this next time. Their sauce bar is impressive and really versatile. You can mix and match however you like. My favorites are sacha, ponzu, sesame sauce for hot pot; ssamjang and brisket sauce for Kbbq. Don't mix them tho Favorite meat for BBQ were kalbi, brisket, beef tongue, pork cheek, and samgyeopsal. For hot pot, we liked the sliced beef, lobster balls, fish balls with roe, and sweet potato noodles. The corn cheese is alright. I don't like them cook in the foil. Prefer when it's cooked as part of the grill like baek Jong. We also tried the soju pitcher, but it wasn't strong at all--it actually tasted fizzy, almost like soda. Overall, a fun place for variety and good cuts of meat, but come prepared to do the cooking yourself

It took forever for a grill to be changed and the food took forever to come out. Everything here is done by the ordering pad on the table. What i like is that its only 5$ more to add hot pot for a total of 38$. That's a pretty good deal. I liked the beef belly and lamb. My friend LOVES the oysters. Theyre just too big to eat raw, but ill cook it in the soup. The meat quality is fine and the seafood was salty. I liked the octopus. Its sort of noisy inside but plenty of spaced out tables. The bathrooms were really dirty, but the 1 star bc the server would never come to our table.

We picked two broths, the Shrimp and signature, and then went down the menu selecting proteins and other add-ons. We went with the Ultra over the supreme so we could get some of the nicer cuts of meats. They have happy hour pricing of a few dollars off earlier in the evening, which was going on when we were in. Non-meat dd-on favorites included the Napa cabbage, kabocha squash, ramen, bok choy, and shitake mushrooms. She efficiently seated and served multiple tables and was appropriately attentive, even offering some spicy drops to add to the soup. We each got our usual order of sumo ribeye and kimchi base soup. This location gave us two soup pots, which is a nice plus. At the Cupertino location, they only give one pot for us to share, and if a broth refill is needed, they refill with the standard water/seaweed broth. We prefer the flavor of the kimchi broth and dipping sauces (ponzu & sesame) at the Cupertino location. The San Jose location felt watered down - we would've been happy to share one pot of broth if it meant a more flavorful soup base and dipping sauces. This location, though, is larger and brighter than the Cupertino location. Their seating arrangement allows for larger groups - they have multiple tables that accommodate 4 (2 burners) and 6 (3 burners). They also have settings for 2 (1 burner). Parking is also more abundant (at least when we came) vs. the Cupertino location.

When I wear flip flops or open toed shoes, I tend to look down more when I walk and the floor was slippery with my shoes so the more I looked down, the more I was grossed out. This place needs a DEEEEEEP cleaning. When the dirt is thick, you wonder how the food is stored/back of the shop. So, take this with a grain of salt - cook your meats a little longer? I still think its a fun venue, I appreciated the waitstaff, very friendly and do their best - they hustle for sure! We will definitely be back to try again, maybe we got there in between cleanings. Value - I can definitely see you get your money's worth - we paid less for three of us than we do for burgers at one of the local places when we do DoorDash. So all you can eat meats and veggies, value is there if you have a healthy appetite for sure!

I ended up ordering the Thai hot pot and my friend ordered the curry milk. We both got mild spice- which was plenty for me! I also ordered the green tea with grapefruit and my friend got the wintergreen tea- we both asked for less ice and I got less sweetness. We enjoyed our food- it came out quickly once we ordered. The restaurant was bustling - but tables were turning over quickly. There was a busy hum. We enjoyed our food and the staff were busy, but kind and helpful

The people that work at this Boiling Point, although not as bad as the other locations, just don't care. Don't care really to take your order, bring you water, or take your money. I remember when Boiling Point was such an awesome and unique experience. It still is, but it's become much pricier and the staff just aren't hospitable and don't give a sh*t. Boiling point is more of a fast casual place and don't expect any more than that. Food is fine. But they tone the spicy down much more than before. I remember before when they started, medium spicy had a kick. Now, medium spicy doesn't even tingle anymore. Lame.
