Final Thoughts: 4.00/5
Definitely your average Vietnamese restaurant dining experience. I've been here more than just a few times, but overall, the experiences are pretty standard. Not anything super outstanding, but it's just your average dining experience. Solid 4 stars for me.

Nem Nướng Cuốn: 4.3/5
My dish today. Translates out to a grilled pork paste spring roll. This item comes with two rolls. I've had this multiple times now. The sauce in general is usually what I look out for. This sauce seems to have quite a bit of a starch used for a thickener because it's very thick and almost like the honey thick consistency. Not too big of a concern since the flavor is good. For the roll itself, there is actually quite a nice chunk of the grilled pork in there. Other places will skimp on this sometimes, which is not ideal. The flavor and color are nice, as well. For the flavor, it's very umami, sweet, and has a good touch of garlic in it. Garlic makes this meat smell really good. There's that balance to it though, so it's very much present without being too overpowering. The crispy eggroll wrapper is a must for this dish. It's not the crispiest here though. This might be because it's premade or it's been sitting too closely to the vegetables, so it softened. One of my favorite dishes perhaps because of the flavors and different texture components happening in this dish.
Cơm Tấm Sưồn Nướng, Lạp Xưởng, Trứng Chiên: --
This was my friends plate. I didn't try this today, but I've had other plates that were similar to this. Their grilled pork chops and meats are actually seasoned quite well. They're also very tender, which is a plus.
Cánh Gà Bơ Tỏi: 4.5/5
Again, my friends dish that I did not try during this occasion, but have tried before. Their chicken wings are actually quite nice. First impression of them is that they've very small and look kind of dry. Once you actually eat it though and tear into the meat, it's actually very crispy on the outside and tender on the insider. The outside has a nice brushing of the garlic butter and the flavor is prominent, but not overpowering enough to coat your mouth. Goes very nicely with fish sauce.
Gỏi Cuốn Tôm Thịt: 3.2/5
This dish is your classic spring roll. Two of them are provided. Again, did not eat my friends food today, but I have eaten this before. It's always hard for me to give this dish a high rating because I know the components that go into it and how the ratios always seem to fail me. Typically, you'll find that purchased spring rolls will always fill their rolls with vegetables and vermicelli with a few pieces of meat and 1.5 shrimps. They'll cut the shrimps in half and it's quite standard to only have three pieces of that in there...Ratios might not be the best, but their peanut and hoisin sauce dip is quite nice. Good balance of both flavors and one doesn't overpower the other.

Quality: Nice greens
Their vegetables are often quite green and very crispy, which is something I appreciate. The vegetables inside of the rolls were also very nice, so the quality seems fine. Nothing significant to note here.
Price: Average
Their prices are pretty average and standard for a Vietnamese restaurant. The appetizers are currently priced between $8 to $9 and the main entrees are within a $14 to $18 price range with a few outliers. Seems pretty standard for your average plate of food these days in the Bay Area.
Service: Limited
There was really limited interactions because they just take the order, deliver the food, and then we either go pay at the front or they bring us the check. The thing with this restaurant is that they have a robot that does some of the waiting for them, as well. This makes our interactions even more limited. No significant notes really.
Ambiance: Spacious
This area is quite spacious inside and their ceilings are high. I like that because it gives it a more fancy and elegant feeling to it. It's really not anything of the sort, but it just feels that way. This is where we go for a simple dinner or lunch sometimes.
Location/Parking: Vietnam Town
Vietnam Town can either have a lot of parking or no parking at all depending on the day and time. For the size of this area, the parking is ok. Typically, there isn't really an issue with it, but when you hit the weekends, rush hours, and big event days here, parking becomes such a big problem. They have a parking garage that's a little bit far from this location specifically, but if you want to get your steps in, that is also an option. read more
