This will be a short one cuz I had mostly the same pho as last time. But I'm gonna say the $13 pho deal is the best you're gonna find. Service is always quick and friendly. Kind of shy. And the restaurant is spaceous and well lit. And clean. And they have a robot. What's new for this visit is their fried chicken wings. Very good.

My favorite Pho spot in East San Jose. I usually just get pho tai as I am a simple girl, and extra lemon! The jalapeños are always spicy and the broth is delicious . Perfect comfort food!

This place has a sign that says grand opening. Hate to say it but nothing grand about it. 1) ca kho to (actually worth) Rice was included for us so that was nice 2) combo pho, clams, muscle - was all mid 3) coconut snail (not fresh, doesn't even look appetizing, did not taste super coconut-y) Service was decent! There were about two servers so it wasn't bad and they were attentive and got me what I needed like extra napkins. If this place is new and supposedly having a grand opening, why does it look lw run down and the bathroom is gross? It's a decent quiet place but there's better viet restaurants with this same menu on story road sorry

We've eaten here many time as sit-in or takeout. The food has always been consistent, taste great, the dishes are authentic vietnamese, and the staff are really friendly! The atmosphere is chill with nice decorative and clean. It's not too crowded and always easy to get seating.

The service was good, staff was nice. I found some mold looking thing in the pickle chiles they had on the table and the waiter got me a different jar from a different table. The hu tieu had a funky taste and smell. The smell was from the noodle that they used. I honestly will not be coming back.

One of the few spots in Evergreen that are open late and have DELICIOUS Vietnamese food. Plenty of parking and there's a good liquor store right next to them too! I really enjoy C2 on their menu. C2- Grilled Pork, Grilled Shrimp, Fried Egg 9/10 Despite it not being groundbreaking food, they deliver on simple flavors really well. The pork and shrimp are so good and for a late night meal, I struggle to do better in the vicinity, so I am eating Aota high for this meal, bias is real. They may not be perfect (phone system was broken one time and doordash link was broken too), but the staff are kind and helpful. FYI- their English is a bit limited so please be patient. Inside decor is rather nice and new!

Always on the hunt to look for a place that serves escargot and came across this restaurant. Came on a Saturday night around 7:30 for dinner and there was no wait. For 3, we ordered a few items to try out, we went with: - fried intestines: 4/5 - tamarind escargot: 3.5/5 - fish sour soup: 2/5 As it wasn't busy and pretty slow, I was pretty disappointed in the service because we were served our soup without our side of vermicelli noodles and our waters were never refilled. Plus the fish was very difficult to eat as it was super fishy.

My friend and I came to try out this place for ốc (snails) and snacks. We came in on a Friday night and the restaurant was clean and pretty empty. The service was pretty standard for a Vietnamese restaurant- quick and efficient. The food was okay. We got the oc huong bo toi Canada version since it was recommended. We also got the mussels with green onion, fried calamari, and mango salad. This was how my friend and I rated the dishes: Oc huong (1/5): we love love oc but this oc huong was overly tough and chewy. The garlic butter flavor was good and a little sweet, however our main complaint with this dish would be the broken shells. Every bite we took, we were crunching on mini pieces of shell and it was so unpleasant to the point that we just gave up eating it. Mussels (3/5): pretty basic. Tasted like mussel, not too flavorful and very little green onion. It wasn't tasty, but it wasn't bad either. Fried calamari (4/5): the calamari was crispy and breaded with panko I believe? The sauce that comes with it is creamy and spiced which was nice. Mango salad (4/5): you can't go wrong with mango salad. It was refreshing and light, definitely a nice contrast to the calamari. Overall, some dishes weren't the best while others were better. If I came back, I'd probably try new dishes, but definitely steer clear of the oc huong.

Service was great, food was okay, ambiance was nice with Vietnamese decor. Price for pho was reasonable with inflation. Nice selections. Good for late night since they open late until 11pm

I hate leaving not so great reviews. Ugh. We walked in (a party of two) and were told to sit wherever from the guy behind the counter across the restaurant. Tables are already set and have forks, spoons, and what not ready for you. We sat down. Every table has menus already waiting, so we started browsing the menu. Decided to do the house special chicken pho and egg rolls. The broth was lackluster. Not a lot of flavor and pretty bland. The egg rolls were undercooked and came with tinsel attached. That was that for me. We won't be returning.

(to go order) the mussels are 10/10 i would recommend that! the flavors are nice and it was cooked well! loving the side herbs, lemon, and salt/pepper. i would order this again! spring rolls! they were sooo packed and good! the peanut sauce was well made and thicc! i'm taking away one star for the pho... ummmm the broth was flavorless! with added condiments and herbs, it still tasted so bland. i do not recommend. i will not be ordering the pho again. i will be ordering the spring rolls and the mussels again!

We came for a late dinner and ordered three items and a hot tea. Service was adequate. They came to take the order, repeated it but didn't write down the complete order. They brought out waters and brought the 2 of the 3 food items. The rice with shaken beef and phở came but not the hot tea nor mussels. The staff didn't come back to refill nor indicated if there was water station. Food was ok..service was spotty.

My family of 4 came here on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was pretty empty with only a couple of tables occupied besides us. We were told to sit anywhere when we entered, and then the menus and water were brought out to us. I was quite overwhelmed with the menu as there are so many dishes to choose from bot knowing what this restaurant's specialty is. However, the menu has a lot of specialty dishes (do nhau) to pair with drinking, so it may just be their specialty. We ordered the following: 1. Pho Dac Biet: Flavoring is ok and slightly on the sweeter side. 2. Phi Bo vien: Same as above. 3. Hu tieu kho: Since I am eating this dish dry, it comes with a bowl of soup w/ bone on the side. Also, a bottle of their special sauce was provided for you to mix your noodles up. The flavoring of the sauce is pretty light, so I had to add in sriracha and hoisen sauce to enhance the flavor. The vegetables that came with the dish were barely enough for a bite. I had to steal some bean sprouts from my husband and 11yo son's veggie plate for their Pho. 4. Com tam thi nuong: Flavorful and tender marinated prok with grilled prawns and over easy egg. The vegetables on the side were lettuce and tomatoes with picked cabbage. Service is average as we had to raise our hand to get assistance despite the restaurant not being busy. The food taste is average for the dishes we ordered. I would prefer eating it at our usual restaurants that specialize in the rice dishes or noodle soup for a better taste. However, I definitely would like to return with just hubby and have a few drinks to try these specialty dishes made to pair with drinking.

It's so unique and addicting with a perfect sweetness to it that isn't overwhelming with a slight creaminess and not as savory as most other seafood boils. The crawfish they use is amazing as well, it must be a different kind from most others because the meat is more tender and sweet. I have no problem sucking the claw meat out where as other restaurants I have to dig inside the claw to pull out the meat. Soooo good and I visit as often as I can. Friendly service. Regardless of the matter and situation, I'm happy to see that they're doing well. I came in super late last night being it the second to last Friday for Lent and was craving seafood. I remembered this spot had a dish of steamed clams in a basil and ginger broth that reminded me of my dad's Filipino version. I came back because I craved it and since I wasn't feeling 100%. This brought me back to life. It was so good and fragrant, which definitely brought me back to my childhood. I decided to also get a few more dishes since I'm acclimating to the Vietnamese culture. The food here is super good and the owner or staff here in general are very nice. I'm going to try to come back often since the price point is worth it in my opinion.

The xào me was overly salty, while the rang muối ớt was surprisingly bland. On top of that, the presentation was top notched....... the portions are much smaller than what's shown in the photos, vegetables were stale, and there wasn't even any garlic included, despite it being clearly shown on the menu. The gỏi was okay. Will not return.

One reason is that I don't live in the San Jose area anymore, and another is that there are now so many seafood boil spots around since Boiling Crab really started the trend. One positive right away: there was no long wait. We arrived around 8pm and were seated immediately, which was great. I remember the days when we'd have to put our name down and walk around Target while waiting for our table. I do wish they offered combo bags like a lot of other seafood boil places do now, since that's always a hit. Instead, we ordered 3 pounds of shrimp with whole-sha-bang sauce in mild. The shrimp themselves were great--nice and big, not the tiny peanut-sized ones you sometimes get. The flavor was also really good. However, the "mild" tasted much spicier than I remembered. From past visits, mild always had a small kick but was still pretty manageable. This honestly tasted closer to medium. My boyfriend politely asked one of the servers if he could get a small side of garlic butter because the sauce was spicier than expected. She immediately responded that it would be $5 for extra sauce, and the way it was said came off pretty rude. We understand that there's an option to make the bag "extra saucy" for an additional charge, but he wasn't asking for extra sauce for the whole bag--just a small side to balance out the spice. Even a simple response like "I'm sorry it came out spicier than expected" would have gone a long way. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years, and I've always believed in "kill them with kindness." We weren't rude at all--we just mentioned that it seemed spicier than mild. In the end, we decided to just skip the extra sauce. Again, the flavor was still good, but to me this definitely tasted more like medium. When we got our check, a different server asked how everything was. My boyfriend mentioned that the sauce was spicier than mild, and she responded with, "Oh no, I'm sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted." We told her it wasn't her fault since we had already mentioned it earlier, and she just gave us a sympathetic look. Overall, the food itself was good, and I'd probably give it a 4 for taste, but the lack of customer service knocked the experience down for me. I understand it was later in the evening and they still had a full lobby, but a little kindness and attentiveness would have made a big difference.
