It was a rainy day and we decided we were craving some Vietnamese style soup after the gym. We saw this place had good reviews about the beef stew and I really wanted to give it a try so we did. The parking lot is usually packed but maybe we got lucky or because it was raining, we got a pretty close spot up front. Right when we walked in, we were greeted and got sat down at a table pretty quickly. I guess we also got pretty lucky because they didn't have that many tables, and it filled up 10 minutes after we sat down. I ordered the Beef stew with half beef half tendon and fresh noodles (you can also choose fresh bread or egg noodle), and my boyfriend got the pho dac biet with fresh noodles. We both tried the soups first and I swear, the pho broths were one of the most flavorful and best pho broths I've ever had. I was shocked that I had never tried this place until today. The beef stew broth was also really hearty and beefy. The meat was so tender and melt in your mouth. Service was also really great as our waitress was really friendly, we got our waters refilled without us asking, and the chef even asked what we thought of the food at the end of the meal. I typically have a hard time finishing my own bowl but I devoured this one and will definitely be coming back again. So happy I found this amazing gem of a restaurant! read more

Porridge is a little sweet and salty. The menu listed $16.75 per order. But she charged $19.75 with tax so it's around almost $21. When asked she said because I ordered togo. Well! She charged $3 extra for Togo orders? So check your bills before paying them. I don't highly recommend this restaurant due to their dishonesty. I won't come back here and also our family/friends as well. Good luck to your business! And Don't tried to do business in the cheating way to make just a couple of dollars. I always am in this plaza and have noticed this pho Resturant always busy IM THE CORNER I had never tried this place and today I decided to do so As soon as you come to the door the aromas are sooo amazing . I talked to the owner who let me know they have been here over 8 years and I asked what sge recommend recommended . She recommended the combination for which has all the meats so I purchased to go there were people coming in and starting to come in for dine in. I noticed that the bowls the fubo's are huge, which is awesome. I didn't wait very long for my order to be done. I would say less than 10 minutes. I live nearby so I went home and I warmed up the broth prepared my bowl and let me just say it was delicious. It had oxtail and I have round and tender in and just all the meats that are on the menu. The price was 1950 which was well worth it and I will be back. The broth was so good so if you live nearby, please come and try this family own restaurant. I woke up with inkling for some warm comfort food so I started my search for something soupy that's open early in San Jose. As I was approaching my table, I didn't realize I was selecting my menu. The tables clearly were filled with regulars who knew what they liked and how to order. The clean bones and dishes spoke for themselves. I sat down looking through the menu and The Weekend Specials stood out. Every table had an order of Long Chinese Donut. So that was a no brainer. Duh, of course when the waitress asked me what I'd like with her broken English, I ordered with body lady language pointing at the next table, "that one, it looks good" the porridge" whatever the other adjacent tables are having. It's an obvious choice. She showed me it was the weekend special indeed. I am so proud that I made a good choice. I totally knew what I ordered lol I am appreciative that they went for the mile and blanched the bean sprouts. I mean, everyone like me could use an extra umph in their daily fiber. So, I happily added that into my porridge too. I'm so glad they thinly sliced the organs since I'd pick out the ones I didn't like as a kid hehehe. But the porridge was thick and the seasoning was well-balanced to make it easy for me to be indifferent and finish my bowl. I had a hot tea and ordered a Salted Plum Soda drink and I requested it with no ice since my throat was itchy this morning. It helped. Home remedy, I don't know, at least I would like to believe it helps. Maybe it did but maybe it did not. Who knows but it was money well spent. Been coming out here for the past five years certainly one of the best Vietnamese phở restaurants in the South Bay serving authentic beef stew and chicken soup with a choice of udon, rice or glass noodles. Even though prices have gone up they are more than generous and no cutting corners. Staff always so attentive and friendly the only downsize is limited seating though there's a small outdoor seating. Looking at the menu I chose the large size phở gà comes with several pieces of slice chicken breast with rice noodles serve with a side dish of bean sprouts and herbs along with a baguette bread. I've always prefer pho over ramen since it's alot healthier with less calorie and more protein not to mention less sodium or MSG. Would highly recommend Phở Nhy as one of the best Vietnamese phở restaurants and I can see why it's so popular among fellow Yelpers with rave reviews. This is the definition of hole in the wall. It's literally located in the corner of this really sketchy strip mall. The restaurant itself is very narrow, but has some seating in the back. My gf wanted to try this place based on the Yelp reviews. I was a little skeptical, but their chicken pho won me over. The broth was amazing. I was very surprised. I can't speak for the other broths though. The ladies were so sweet. They checked up on us to make sure everything was all right and if the food was okay when we checked out. Also, there is a choice of beef stew or tendons only. The beef stew came out, and it was piping hot! The first sip of the soup and I was impressed. It was beefy, flavorful, and aromatic. You could tell they cooked the broth for hours. The beef was tender and flavorful. The beef tendons were soft and creamy. Creamy!?! When you are eating it and it slowly dissolves in your mouth but you still have that creaminess of the tendon in your mouth. It's so good! The egg noodles were cooked perfectly, where they had a nice bite, bounce, or chew. In other words, they weren't overcooked or soggy. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: Strong, bold, sweetened enough to enjoy the full- bodied taste of this drink with no bitterness. Nowadays, I usually only order this at a few places because a lot of places do not make a good Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Pho Nhy does make a good one. read more

You can also get it with banh mi (bread) or mi (egg noodles(. CHAO LONG $12.50 -regular sized porridge with pork organ. The porridge was super tasty and my favorite pieces of meats were the blood sausage and intestines. You can actually ask for certain meats if you don't all the different types of organ. But all the meats taste fresh! I love dipping them into a mixture of fish sauce, lemon and chili sambal. This is the only spot that we go to for chao and bo kho outside of making at home. My dish came out piping hot, big plus! It shocks me every time when pho doesn't come out steaming hot. The soup was amazing, the flavors really took me away and it was delicious. The broth makes all the difference in the world. I had the regular pho noodles. There was 2 big pieces of ox tail, very tender and soft. It was an amazing bowl of pho tbh. No complaints at all.
