Came here since dish & dash nearby was crowded I had the pork and shrimp vermicelli noodles, and it felt like it barely had the basics. The veggies were mainly just lettuce, and the portion size was a bit smaller than what I've had. It's a pretty small place, and only one waiter was available. Soup base is always good tasting here. It used to be a good 4.7-5 stars place attracting many tech employees as customers over a decade ago. These days, don't expect much customers on weekends. Feels dead and empty during cold weather rainy days. You can still dine inside or outside. Looks like more people are enjoying takeout orders instead. They do get busy with people picking up orders. Indoor dining can take awhile since it's not fully staffed. We still enjoyed our #10 small bowl over $16 Pho Dac Biet Combo. Large bowls cost more, but portions are decent. Simple and it has the small beef meatballs in it. Menu looks shorter these days. I still remembered the better times here many years ago when vibes were more exciting with hustlers bustling, serving the working class people in the area. They only had veggie fried eggrolls. Hope they consider doing a pork fried one. The restaurant is off Trimble/1st Street inside a plaza. Finding parking during lunch can be challenging. I'm so surprised by the reviews here. I got spring roles and the raw beef pho and it's literally the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had. Whatever cut of steak they give you isn't even meant to be eaten...I would take a mouthful of broth, noodles, and a bit of steak, and all would be chewed up except for a ball of meat gum that literally could not be processed through my mouth. The spring rolls are so dry. They should be called hot dessert rolls. Be aware, there's limited parking in the lot, especially during lunch time. There's other restaurants in the plaza so it gets packed. I went with the pho dac biet (#1) and shrimp/pork spring rolls. I asked for steak on the side. There's only small/large size. When the food arrived, the soup was piping hot, big big plus. The steak on the side was only 3 pieces, but there were plenty of meat in the bowl. The broth was good, flavorful. I'm not sure how fresh the noodles were because they weren't breaking apart as easy. Most of it eventually broke apart in chunks. The spring rolls were a good size, however it wasn't wrapped too tight so it began splitting towards the end of each piece. You can either get a half order or full order. With the peanut sauce, you can't go wrong with a spring roll tbh. Overall, the food was good. Lots of dirty dishes on about 3 different tables and they weren't even attending to cleaning them the entire time I dined there. Kind of a turn off. So why 4 stars? Because their Pho was on point!!! So authentic and flavorful. I bought the combo beef pho with egg noodles. I loved the mixture of rare steak, flanks, tendon and tripe. So thinly cut so it was easy to eat. I only came here for the smoothie. I wanted something with real fruits and it was either the avocado or the strawberry smoothies. I had the avocado one and it tasted pretty good.
