I decided to try a place I've never been before to avoid a late night croud after a football game. I am glad I took the time to search up and discover Pho Tay Do! Everything was good!! First time coming here! Service was quick. I ordered the Special Combo Pho. I thought the broth was delicious and the portion is very much worth the price that I paid ($17 before tips). It was a very LARGE portion. The meats were good, but I did think the rare meat was a bit gamey. I would prefer more veggies in the pho and they do use the dry noodles at this restaurant! This spot is one of our got to spots when we don't want to go far from home. Nice & quaint atmosphere inside and they have outside tables too. The food & dishes have always been on point and always hot served with lots of flavor. I have yet to have a dish that was not delicious. The one downside to this place would be the small plastic cups they give customers for water. We are constantly having to ask for refills and when it's busy that can be a bit tricky. On the other hand you can be like me and bring your own H2o. The staff are all pretty polite & helpful, which is always a plus. Bathroom is universal and every time I have came to eat it has always been clean and tidy. read more

The service was quick and standard. No small talk, just eat and go which we loved. I didn't have high expectations going in, but the pho here is actually pretty good. Came here for a family dinner of 5. Being that Pho Tay Do is just down the street from home, the convenience aspect is def a win. Upon arrival, you notice seating is available both indoor and out. Outdoor is a great option for those who prefer this because everything is fully shaded. We were given the option of choosing our seat but unfortunately had to grab our own stack of menus due to the male employee overlooking us while busting tables. The gentleman eventually walked over to take our food order, not writing anything down and based everything on memory. He did make sure to repeat our orders & requested adjustments back to us prior to heading to the register. Dinner consisted of: Pho Bo Vien & Sach [Pho w/ Beef Balls & Tripe] Pho Chin Nam Gau Gan Sach [combination beef pho] x2 Hu Tieu Hai San [seafood rice noodle soup] - requested for NO SHRIMP, replace with more squid or fish ball. Soda Xi Muoi Sprite The food came out fairly quick and the plate of herbs provided was fresh. The seafood noodles soup clearly containing shrimp which we had requested for the kitchen to be removed. The rest of the orders were fine. I waited around patiently for our drinks to arrive and nothing came out besides the complimentary waters that were given shortly after our initial arrival. I waited and waited some more until it was clear that the drinks had been forgotten. The gentleman who took our order was nowhere to be found so I was forced to ask the younger gal handling the register. Food was okay but there are obvious kinks that need to be worked out. For starters, taking orders and actually writing them down would help tremendously. Restrooms were very clean which was very appreciated. 3 stars overall, I may come back given the easily accessible location but it's not a must. read more

The pho broth here was good in terms of flavor; tasted just like most other pho spots. I got a small size pho for $13.50. Pretty cheap compared to other spots but it shows in the small portion of noodles and meat. The meat was just okay in quality, and I found that the tendon in my bowl was undercooked and hard. Other than that, all the side fixings were fresh and I have no complaints in that aspect. Service was a little disappointing. We were not checked on throughout the meal and were not given any napkins. When we paid at the register, I found the worker pretty rude. I was looking for 60 cents of change to give him, but he rushed me and told me to give him a dollar instead. We expected change back, but he simply took the dollar, put it in the register, and walked away. The ambiance is very casual, nothing particularly special. read more
