I visited on a late Tuesday afternoon, so the restaurant wasn't crowded--there were only two of us. We were warmly greeted right away when we entered the place. I deeply appreciated the honesty of the staff member (who may be the owner). She was totally straightforward and told us upfront they didn't have fresh crawfish that day. A bit disappointing, but honesty is so much better than a lie!We ended up ordering Combo 4, and oh my god, it was a huge amount of food that completely filled up two adults. Even though the crawfish were frozen, they were high quality (about 80% freshness, which was still great). The other seafood items, like the shrimp and mussels, were incredibly fresh. Their sauce is what really won me over--absolutely delicious and very savory.I added garlic bread to the order, but I do wish they offered a classic baguette so we could dip it and soak up all that amazing sauce! In the end, we paid a very reasonable price to satisfy our cravings without the hassle of going to the market, cooking, and cleaning up. I officially have a new go-to spot whenever a crawfish craving hits!

I want to gatekeep this place sooo bad! The price is way cheap! Big fresh crawfish! Friendly service and quick and free mini dessert. Crawfish combos don't come with potatoes only sausages and corn Get their garlic noodles, but I would skip the fries

baked oysters, salted fish rice, combo #2. 150$ 3 people after tip. Lots of sugar in the combo crawfish, frozen corn, shrimp, sausage combo. no salted fish in salted fish rice. oysters were best. everything else you are better off making at home with better quality seafood.

I've tried a lot of crawfish spots around San Jose like Claw Shack, The Crab Bay, Boiling Crab, and more but Crawfish LA is my favorite so far. The sauce is rich and thick, not watery like some other places, and it actually sticks to the crawfish instead of just pooling at the bottom. Also, their free dessert is such a nice touch and definitely a bonus after a good seafood feast. Overall, highly recommend if you're craving solid crawfish with great flavor and a little extra treat at the end.

Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 3/5 Its location in the same plaza as the Lee supermarket. Came here on a Friday, I was not busy and was able to get a table right away for 3. There's 1 server and she was very attentive. We ordered the combo 4 and the garlicky sauce was delicious, and medium heat was the perfect kick. Basil Thai clam was very good too. Garlic noodles were perfectly done. Very crispy fried calamari too. Pair well with beer, however, I wish there's a wine there since I can have beers.

Crawfish LA is my new favorite late night seafood boil spot. They are open until 12AM every weeknight and until 2AM until weekdays. This is my second time coming here and the service is always great despite coming at 10:30 PM. The inside is pretty small but there's never any wait. I love how they also have tv's and music all night. We ordered the 3lb combo with their cajun mild sauce. Trust me when I say, their cajun sauce is something that I crave all the time. I love all of the garlic pieces and the amount of sauce they give you. The seafood is cooked to perfection and they clean it out really well too. The grilled oysters with green onion are priced really well ($20) for five pieces and come out tasty. Not fishy at all even though it was huge. I love the sauces that come with it. The food also comes out really quick (about 10-15 minutes). There aren't a lot of places open late at night so this will be in my rotation when I'm craving seafood boil at night. The service here is also friendly and fast! Highly recommend Crawfish LA!

Formerly Truc Anh, Crawfish LA kept the same recipe for their food. The food has potential to be good but there's an issue with the consistency of the quality. Sometimes the flavors are yummy and satisfies seafood cravings, other days it's just meh. Definitely a hint or miss. I was beyond dissatisfied with a recent seafood boil order made for take out. Food was warm at most, not hot like it normally would be. The fries were floppy and sad. For almost $10, you would expect fries that are well seasoned. I also wished the fries were more crispy. Garlic noodles were okay, nothing impressive and could use more flavor but still good to pair with seafood items. Although crawfish is in the name of the restaurant, I think the crawfish isn't worth getting. Something about the crawfish with the house sauce tastes very lackluster. However, the shrimps are bigger and more delicious with the sauce. I do enjoy the house sauce as it contains a subtle hint of coconut which I find unique. Parking can be a little tricky at busier hours since it's located in a plaza with a bunch of other shops. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and cashier is friendly. Perhaps this establishment is more popular at night because there's usually nobody else inside when we come in to order and pick up.

Jealousy--I've only felt it once, and that was enough. It is ugly and eats you from the inside. It's different from trust, loyalty, and betrayal. Betrayal comes from lack of loyalty, which destroys trust. Jealousy comes when you feel inferior to someone else's beauty, attention, ability, or privilege. It happened years ago at Thanksgiving in our new home. I sensed betrayal and suddenly felt envy toward someone younger, maybe more beautiful, receiving attention I thought belonged to me. Rage filled my heart, and I vowed never to let envy consume me again. Last night at Crawfish LA, I watched jealousy rise out of someone else. Now that I'm older and wiser, I recognize deception and negative energy instantly. We had just come out of mass at SMG in San Jose. My old sedan couldn't fit eight kids, so we walked across the street for food. The boys ran, the little girls skipped, and I followed behind with my green folder like a schoolteacher. The crosswalk lights counted down, but the moment was too beautiful to hurry. At the restaurant, I asked the cashier if the kids could use the space for an activity before the food arrived. The credit union had given out crayons and turkey pictures, so I hosted a coloring contest. The prize was $10. Everly and Allen won fair and square. The first plate brought out was French fries with a little calamari. The boys kept their sweet potato fries to themselves. I told them no eating until we prayed. They dropped their pencils and fries and erupted into "Kinh Mừng Maria," the Vietnamese Hail Mary. Our food came--vermicelli with crab, baked oysters, and Combo #2 (shrimp and crawfish). I paid extra for ten sausages but received only thin slices. The oysters lacked butter or scallion oil, but the cook redeemed themselves with free garlic noodles. The family is too kind to give a bad review. This place used to be Trúc Anh, my favorite crawfish spot before a driver crashed into the storefront, forcing it to close. When it reopened in September 2025, I was excited to return. The manager had once told me the secret to their seasoning was fresh orange juice. As fellow Catholics, I believed him. I've used the same ingredients at home--it's salty but delicious. The kids weren't allowed to touch Combo #2 until they finished coloring and revoting for officers of God's Tears. With gloves on, Dustin nominated himself for Treasurer. Simon became Vice President. The tightest race was between brothers Aaron (13) and Louis (9). This was our third election. After a close vote, Louis won President. He had even written a speech, but Aaron accused him of using AI. I saw Aaron's face turn red with anger and hurt as he glared at the kids who didn't vote for him. He even accused me, though it was a secret ballot. But energy does not lie--the girls had voted for someone closer to their age. On the drive home, Aaron slumped over. I dropped him and Louis off first because betrayal had defeated him. Jealousy drained his spirit. He couldn't pretend to be okay. Thinking back to Thanksgiving 2019, that girl wasn't more beautiful. What I envied was youth and innocence. Earlier that year, I had endured isolation and betrayal that shattered my confidence. Now I understand that time--not money, beauty, or status--is what I value. There's no need for jealousy when you become the best version of yourself. Aaron can take this moment to rebuild. He can learn to speak kindly and clearly, and run again next year. Both brothers are intelligent, creative, hardworking, and capable. They share the same DNA, but respect must be earned. Time on earth is limited. Death--of innocence, relationships, or life itself--can make you jealous of the living. Boys and girls, let's not be jealous.

Late night cajun seafood and Stir-fried crab vermicelli
    Khoa T.

This is the spot for a late night cajun seafood . We ordered medium House Special Sauce, and it was just right. The seafood was fresh and juicy. I liked that they added lots of minced garlic into the sauce. Can you imagine the smell of cajun spices, garlic, and butter in a cold December night?! Come and see for yourself. The crab vermicelli was delicious as well. It went surprisingly well with the cajun seafood. Good customer service and very friendly staffs. Definitely recommend for friends and family.

The seafood itself was fresh and good quality, but I found the House Special Mild sauce a little underwhelming. I was hoping for more depth and flavor, but most of what I tasted was a mild kick of heat. While it wasn't bad, it didn't have the rich, buttery, and well-seasoned flavor profile that I typically look for in a seafood boil sauce. Service was great throughout our visit. We were seated promptly, our food arrived quickly, and any requests we had were fulfilled without issue. The staff was attentive and made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the restaurant's nautical theme. The decor featured fishing nets, ship-inspired accents, and other sea-themed elements that helped create a fun and immersive atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try. The garlic noodles and fries were delicious, and the service was excellent. While I would probably choose other seafood boil spots in the future, this was still a solid experience and worth trying at least once.

For instance, even though the menu stated that it offered happy hour on the weekend, the waiter, said no, there's definitely no happy hour today and we were there at 3pm. I feel like he should've at least walked over and confirmed with his manager because the manager was there onsite. There was also no price listed for the Pacific Caesar salad. So the server finally got back to me with the price. My friend said that she had just gotten it with chicken. The server said that adding chicken or salmon would be $8 for either one. However, also incorrect! Online it shows that chicken is only $6. (hello, fish is always more expensive, especially salmon.) I didn't trust what he said, so I decided to skip that dish. My friend had said it was really good too. Oh well. I also didn't appreciate how when I went to pay the 22% was also marked as a default tip, so I would assume he ticked that. One reason is that I don't live in the San Jose area anymore, and another is that there are now so many seafood boil spots around since Boiling Crab really started the trend. One positive right away: there was no long wait. We arrived around 8pm and were seated immediately, which was great. I remember the days when we'd have to put our name down and walk around Target while waiting for our table. I do wish they offered combo bags like a lot of other seafood boil places do now, since that's always a hit. Instead, we ordered 3 pounds of shrimp with whole-sha-bang sauce in mild. The shrimp themselves were great--nice and big, not the tiny peanut-sized ones you sometimes get. The flavor was also really good. However, the "mild" tasted much spicier than I remembered. From past visits, mild always had a small kick but was still pretty manageable. This honestly tasted closer to medium. My boyfriend politely asked one of the servers if he could get a small side of garlic butter because the sauce was spicier than expected. She immediately responded that it would be $5 for extra sauce, and the way it was said came off pretty rude. We understand that there's an option to make the bag "extra saucy" for an additional charge, but he wasn't asking for extra sauce for the whole bag--just a small side to balance out the spice. Even a simple response like "I'm sorry it came out spicier than expected" would have gone a long way. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years, and I've always believed in "kill them with kindness." We weren't rude at all--we just mentioned that it seemed spicier than mild. In the end, we decided to just skip the extra sauce. Again, the flavor was still good, but to me this definitely tasted more like medium. When we got our check, a different server asked how everything was. My boyfriend mentioned that the sauce was spicier than mild, and she responded with, "Oh no, I'm sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted." We told her it wasn't her fault since we had already mentioned it earlier, and she just gave us a sympathetic look. Overall, the food itself was good, and I'd probably give it a 4 for taste, but the lack of customer service knocked the experience down for me. I understand it was later in the evening and they still had a full lobby, but a little kindness and attentiveness would have made a big difference.

The staff were very helpful and informational. They gave us extra sauce when we needed and were on top of everything. They took away our plates and cleaned out the table as soon as we left. #FishGrill: ~ LOBSTER NACHOS - 3.5/5 A heaping amount of food. I thought it could do with a bit more Lobster meat. There were tons of chips. Corn chips, wild-caught lobster, avocado, roasted corn, green onion, lomi tomato, diced chilies, cream sauce, green goddess & dynamite sauce. ~ FRIED CATFISH w/ Fire Roasted Street Corn - 4.5/5 Reminds me of NOLA. An excellent fried Catfish; crispy, mild and flaky without being overly oily and heavy. I thought the catfish could be a bit meatier portion wise. Grilled available as well. The Roasted Street Corn was perfect as well. ~ French Fries - 4/5 Brilliant Fries. Simple, crispy, slightly salty, just about perfect. Solid spot. I was impressed with the Fish and Chips as well, lightly battered, tender and crispy and it didn't make me feel bloated or lethargic after I ate. I'll definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu...
