I love their chicken and rice and their beef and rice, but my absolute favorite is the beef brisket with rice. I always get it extra spicy and add the bamboo. It is so good every time. The broccoli with garlic is also amazing and has become a must-order for me. The food is consistently flavorful, comforting, and satisfying. Who would've thought the combination of garlic, ginger and soya sauce produces such a beautiful yellow glossy color while it trumps the aromatic and rich taste. The chicken pot can be had either boneless or with bone. We ordered the boneless. It was very tender. The pig's trotter pot was braised slightly differently, but equally delicious. First off- the positives. The restaurant was clean and pretty empty when we arrived on Sunday evening for dinner. We had a party of three and had our pick of tables - there were maybe 2-4 other parties in the restaurant around 7 pm. We had just gone on a longish bike ride - and were definitely excited for food. There is a QR code on the table that you have to scan to order- unfortunately the app to order requests a lot of information and also requires your phone number and verification. The staff were incredibly slow given how empty the restaurant was. One member in our party had trouble ordering on the app. We also had a very long wait when we asked for to go boxes for our leftovers and when we asked to pay the check. In fact, my friend ended up eating the rest of his food because it took so long to get a box for leftovers. I ordered the boneless yellow braised chicken rice mild- the chicken came with skin on and jalapeños and a side bowl of rice. The food was simple and tasty. Overall, I would only go back if I were in the area and had a lot of time to wait/ wasn't in a hurry. The food was tasty and hearty and came out relatively quickly. The service was slow and we saw multiple staff members waiting around when we were trying to pay our check so we could leave and bike home before it got too dark. We tried requesting wait staff through the app, since they didn't come over when we waved- but that was also not successful. And after waiting for 10+ minutes we were able to get the check to pay. I can see why their reviews are so high. The flavor of the pots were indeed pretty good, and yes, I would recommend it. I ordered a sichuan boiled crispy pork extra spicy, and I'm glad to report that it wasn't necessary to add additional chili oil (also provided as condiments on the table). I mean, I did add some spice directly to the rice anyway, but it was good without it. The portion was big enough for me to save the leftovers for lunch on another day. The pork ribs and pork trotter were my favorites. They are both spiced perfectly with Chinese flavors and I ate so much rice with them.
