We came here with a group of 14 people and there was plenty of seating even at dinner time which was helpful! We ended up getting a yellow braised pork rib, a bone noodle soup and a hot and spicy beef slice rice noodle soup (with three chili peppers). They weren't kidding when they said it was a 3 chili pepper spice level -- my husband was constantly drinking water to be able to tolerate the spice level haha. The bone noodle soup is good for kids and comforting. I also liked the pork rib, which was tender. All the meals come with generous portions and large bowls of seaweed soup and corn flower soup, so it ends up being quite substantial and we were stuffed. One member in our party had trouble ordering on the app. We also had a very long wait when we asked for to go boxes for our leftovers and when we asked to pay the check. In fact, my friend ended up eating the rest of his food because it took so long to get a box for leftovers. I ordered the boneless yellow braised chicken rice mild- the chicken came with skin on and jalapeños and a side bowl of rice. The food was simple and tasty. Overall, I would only go back if I were in the area and had a lot of time to wait/ wasn't in a hurry. The food was tasty and hearty and came out relatively quickly. The service was slow and we saw multiple staff members waiting around when we were trying to pay our check so we could leave and bike home before it got too dark. We tried requesting wait staff through the app, since they didn't come over when we waved- but that was also not successful. And after waiting for 10+ minutes we were able to get the check to pay. The food was good and I wouldn't be opposed to getting food or eating here again. I just wouldn't come here if I were short on time or in a rush. I can see why their reviews are so high. The flavor of the pots were indeed pretty good, and yes, I would recommend it. I ordered a sichuan boiled crispy pork extra spicy, and I'm glad to report that it wasn't necessary to add additional chili oil (also provided as condiments on the table). I mean, I did add some spice directly to the rice anyway, but it was good without it. The portion was big enough for me to save the leftovers for lunch on another day.
