Hole in the wall Chinese restaurant that I recommend. All the customers that ate there were Chinese which was an awesome indicator that the foods bomb. Of course these were all shared amongst 4 people since we had the pleasure of being invited by our friend to film a promotional video for this restaurant (we received two more dishes not shown in the photo).

We were in the area and as usual, I was so indecisive about what to eat so my husband just went ahead and decided for us lol We came for lunch and it was pretty empty so service was quick. I asked for a paper menu 'cause I was being lazy but the server said they didn't have any even though I saw some by the front lol We ordered: - Scallion Oil Noodle with dried shrimp: Not a fan, tasted plain to me. Hubby thought it was alright. - Steamed Pork Bun: It was pretty big but when you bite into it, the filling was so tiny. It was practically all bun lol - Steamed Mushroom Dumplings: Wasn't a fan of the filling, there was so much going on lol thought it would have just been lots of mushroom lol - Yangzhou Fried Rice: Was alright, they put spam in it haha didn't really taste like the Yangzhou fried rice that I know of lol - Tofu with Crab Roe: This was both our favorite, we finished the entire dish lol There were small pieces of crab and the flavor was just delicious! - Braised Pork Belly with quail eggs: Was okay, the meat wasn't too tender but the sauce was flavorful. The decor inside was nice! I also really liked their plates haha

Shanghai Bun Dynasty was great! Everything was well presented and the service was friendly. If you enjoy classic Shanghai dishes, this spot is definitely worth trying. I'd happily come back again.

Bad food. Poor service. Wonton soup came out cold, not even Luke warm. Some food was overly oily, some are very salty. Avoid.

We dropped by during happy hour and tried their oysters, fish taco, chicken wings and fries, and…read morefried fish. The oysters were 10/10, juicy, fresh, and plump meat. They were 1.75$ each. The fish taco was ginormous with grilled fish and two tortillas. The fried fish was nicely battered and tender. The chicken wings were solid -- nothing to write home about, just basic but a solid option if you're not into fish (or want fries, which is why we got them). The service is great, friendly staff!

They were generous with the tarter sauce and vinegar, which I appreciated, but I personally didn't love the taste of the tarter sauce. It had maybe carrots or something in it and I wish it were more tangy. It gets the job done but I might make my own next time. I also got a cup of clam chowder. It was tasty but being from SF I've had much better chowder elsewhere. I would skip this next time. The stand out here was the service I got from Javi. He took my phone order and was polite and courteous without "doing too much." He was the one to also ring me up and hand me my order and he was, again, chill but also super nice. He did a great job. It would be unfair to not share the low point of my experience, even though I hate putting people on blast. While I was picking up my order, there were two female employees standing behind Javi behind the register. One of the ladies was braiding the other ones hair. In food service it's really important not to touch your hair - you should be ready to work before you arrive, or head to the bathroom to take care of any grooming. In the moment I just tried to shrug it off but then the lady braiding the hair sprayed some kind of hair product to finish things off, and I later realized my food was sitting on the counter right next to them. It really disturbed me how they didn't see their behavior as inappropriate and it didn't bother them at all that I was being rung up while they were doing this. I'm a little torn about whether or not I would return. Again, the service from Javi was great and the fish and chips were definitely good - no complaints there. However I didn't love everything I got with my meal and I'm not sure how seriously they take cleanliness given the employees doing their hair in the front.

Since the place was just getting started with their day, it was fairly empty inside. The hostess let us pick where we wanted to sit, which was really nice. We did not get treated this nicely, by the hostess, at the Campbell location. There is also a lovely seating area outside. Next time we will opt for the outdoor seating. Our server came by and introduced himself and took our order, since we knew what we wanted. We ordered the guaca-poke, the 2 taco platter and the west coast style salmon bowl. I also ordered a passion fruit iced tea. My iced tea came out right away and was very refreshing. Our guaca-poke and chips came out right after that. It was very delicious. That's our favorite appetizer. Our food came out fast. My husband really enjoyed his salmon bowl. My two taco platter was delicious. I loved the shrimp taco. They were out of the sea bass again, so I chose grilled cod for my second taco. It was also very good. My dish came with black beans and salad. All of it was very tasty. I have to say, this location has the best customer service. All the employees were so friendly and checked on us to make sure everything was good. I really appreciated that. I think this is our favorite location to go to. I highly recommend checking it out. Side note: the bathrooms were immaculately clean and fresh smelling.

We got the guac-poke, i got the 3 taco platter, wife got the surf and turf. Sadly, the only good thing was the guac-poke. My tacos had small bits of steak (5 pieces) and 2 small pacific cod pieces on the other two. The tortillas were stale and seemed like 3 day old pieces with cardboard feel (basically felt like if you leave a tortilla out in the open for 3 days, and it begins to break apart from simply bending it and even after warming it up, it still is stale). My Wifes surf and turf got a small 3 pieces of skirt steak, with a very charred lobster tail that was beyond overcooked to the point that the tail was black and ashy to the touch, mashed potatoes were oily and lack luster. For the price paid, 117.00 total (10.00 tip since it wasn't the servers fault the food was terrible), you'd expect much better quality and better preparation on the food. Personally, we won't come back. A seafood place that cant make proper fish tacos, let alone lobster isnt worth the price at all. Told the server, and he let the manager know, but even with the feedback; id avoid this place. Youre better off going to the other restaurants in the area (thai restaurant is the same price but much better flavor, portions and service. Or go to Alexander's next door). Yelp won't let me post a photo for some reason, but i put the same review on google with the photo. I ordered the head on shrimp and clams bag which also came with a small corn on the cob and potato with spicy Cajun sauce. After ordering at the counter my bag was brought to me shortly. They have really good lunch special prices for their combos and plates, but the special pricing is only on weekdays. Service was friendly and prompt. It's quite spacious inside. I will be honest and say the food is quite lackluster. The seasoning wasn't really flavorful and it tasted more oily/buttery. I understand there is a lot of butter in seafood boil sauce mixtures, but that was all I tasted here. Food: - Combo 1: Mussels and head-on shrimp with atomic bomb sauce. Combo includes sausages, corn, and potatoes. The mussels had no flavor to them even if they were swimming in all that sauce. - Louisiana Seafood Pasta: It didn't taste that seafood-y. The pasta noodles were cooked al-dente. The sauce tasted like Nissin Cup Noodles Chicken flavor ramen seasoning, not really Louisiana style. Very disappointing, but it had the most flavor compared to combo 1. Unfortunately, I do not see myself revisiting as there are a variety of other seafood boil places in the Bay Area (especially east side SJ).
