Asia Village is a solid neighborhood spot for family-style Chinese dining, especially if you are coming with a group. The restaurant itself isn't large, but it is efficiently laid out - they can comfortably host three round table seating 8-10 people, along with several smaller tables for party of four. This is definitely a place that shines when you come with 6-10 people. The portions are generous and priced reasonably, which makes it fun (and practical) to order a variety of dishes to share. During our visit, we ordered: Scallop egg white fried rice Coffee pork ribs String beans with XO sauce Beef Chow Fun (wide rice noodles) Salt n Pepper fish filet Seafood tofu clay pot Lamb chops in Squash pot Standouts were the scallop egg white fried rice-light, fragrant, and not greasy-and the coffee pork ribs which had a nice balance of savory and sweet. The lamb chop squash pot was also a pleasant surprise and great for sharing. We usually have to pack leftovers for another meal. A nice bonus: depending on how much you order, they will offer complimentary lemonade or honey lemon tea, hot or cold, which is a thoughtful touch. They are willing to accommodate low-sodium and no MSG requests when they are not too busy. Service is adequate but understandably stretched as they only have two servers for all tables. Overall, Asia Village delivers good value, satisfying flavors, and a relaxed family-style dining experience. Not fancy, but dependable and enjoyable.

You do need to phone in to pre order. We had Shredded chicken Ox tail in Pumpkin Steam fish Fried rice Fried pumpkin and shrimp Chicken soup with herbs Sweet n sour pork Garlic snow pea shoot They offered us 3 free lemon tea and free dessert.

Have been coming here for about twenty years. Food has always been consistently good, prices are usually lower than other restaurants. The restaurant is in an old rundown strip mall with plenty of parking. The interior is very basic and dated, one doesn't come for the atmosphere, it's the food that counts. There were eight of us so we could sample many dishes. We ordered Black Pepper Diced Beef Steak, Salt and Pepper Pork Chop, Fish Fillet with Spring Vegetables, Seafood and Tofu Clay Pot, Golden Pumpkin and Prawns with Yolk, and three specials from the blackboard outside the restaurant: Sautéed Yam Leaves, Lobster Noodle, and Chicken with Scallion and Ginger Soy Sauce. Everything was delicious. The lobster was quite meaty, unlike other restaurants with Lobster Noodle specials that serve really tiny lobsters. The Black Pepper Steak was really tender and tasty. The Salt and Pepper Pork Chop was really good as usual. The special Chicken was also really tasty. Service was good, food came out at a good pace. We were given three complimentary drinks. Overall this was really good value and enjoyable food.

Have not been here for a long while, finally we made it on Sunday night for dinner. Note that we tried coming on Saturday for late lunch at 3pm but they close for break. Upon arrival, we were treated with free lemon tea/lemon honey/milk tea on the house. The TV was playing the latest HK TV drama. Service was polite and cordial. We tried the house special gai lan with fish cake, the house famous shredded chicken, and the house fried rice noodle. The staple dish is the shredded chicken and it did not disappoint. The dish came with a strong fragrant aroma of sesame oil. It's soft shredded chicken on a bed of lettuce. Good flavor and texture! The gai lan with fish cake is a new dish to my friends and they loved it. The fish cake portion is generous. The house fried rice noodle is also good as it was stir fried dry with shrimp and pieces of squids. The restaurant is at the corner of the strip mall with little decorations inside, but it's the food we came for. They also gave complementary dessert soup at the end of the meal. It's a good local gem for HK style cuisine.

Quality/Quantity - Crab Meat and Fish Maw Soup - What a great start. Good flavors and with generous quantities. Braised E-Fu Noodle with lobster - One of their specials. Not sure if it was a whole lobster, because it sure did NOT look like it. Minimum noodles and minimum flavor. Sadly we had leftovers, not because they were generous in size, but because no one fought to eat it... Spicy Seafood with Tofu - Home run! Amazing flavors, and spicy. We ordered mild, but this was spicy (in a good way) and had good flavors. Probably the best of all the dishes. Scallion Chicken - Half size. Fairly plain. If it came with a ginger sauce it might have taken this dish to the next level. Smaller size chicken, not meaty. Sauteed Pea Sprout - Good flavors and quality. Fresh. Beef Chow Fun - Good flavors, generous portions, and with very tender beef. Ice Honey Lemon - Complimentary drink with every 3 entrees ordered. Tasted exactly like the name... We ordered 3 of the 6 specials, but only liked the soup. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm. Decent bathrooms; had both a men's and women's bathroom. Plenty of mall parking. Service - 5 stars, good attentive service. Price - $153 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats to the current owner for the last 7 years and to the previous owner for the previous 30 years.

An improved experience this evening. Was out with my son who lives a half mile away now from this establishment. the two of us ordered the six spring rolls, appetizer, hot and sour soup, beef, chow mein, and sweet-and-sour chicken. It was a huge amount of food for two people, and probably took home about two meals worth in leftovers. Service was friendly. Atmosphere is simple and clean. I thought the dishes were very tasty and I could not really imagine a criticism except for maybe the spring rolls which were just good and maybe a smidge mushy on the inside. Would certainly return.

This is one of the most underrated and authentic Cantonese restaurants in Sunnyvale, Asia Village has the amazingly tastiest food and I absolutely love it! I definitely take it for granted having it in my neighborhood eternally. Have I not ventured out to try various food mainly for vibe and decor, I wouldn't have realized Asia Village is home for my comfort food. The food is simply divine! Don't let the shabby interior and messy environment stop you, it's an old dumpy but clean place that offers the best food possible in a generous serving. Every dish is delicious! There's not a single dish here that is not made with care and mastery. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Chef was even able to pull off western/northern Chinese cuisines such as Sichuan fish fillet in chilly sauce, kung pao chicken and peking spare ribs. Haven't been back for a while, this time I was met with friendly service and excellent food again. The two women working there were very nice. Their French filet mignon was to die for. It was bountifully loaded with TENDER, juicy and flavorful steak cubes in black pepper sauce and fresh cut bell peppers. This is the best version I've had, probably better than the version at steakhouse. Too bad I try not to eat red meat but this dish was very hard to resist! Singapore rice noodle was delectable, earning a solid five star performance. The combination of each and every ingredient has the intertwined power to deliver a very subtle and robust taste. The sweet and sour pork was the best I've had I don't usually order this dish as I deem it too Americanized, but it was soooo good! Fresh tender meat coated with tangy yummy sauce of a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. Will always return and highly recommend it!

A hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop Chinese restaurant, Asia Village serves many Cantonese-style dishes. It is tucked away in an old plaza to the left of a UFC gym. SERVICE Good but mediocre at best. It depends on the day. The staff will make eye contact at the entrance to seat you immediately. FOOD * Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves: My SO and I love this dish. It's simple, delicious, and good for you. I wouldn't say I liked all the cloves of garlic thrown in. It would have been better if they were mashed or minced to extract the full garlicky flavor of the dish. Other than that, the snow pea leaves were sauteed to perfection. * Honey-glazed walnut Prawns: Delicious! This is a favorite dish of mine, and it did not disappoint. * Sesame Chicken: The chicken was breaded lightly and had an excellent meat-to-breading ratio. It was made fresh, so the chicken was crispy and tender inside. The sesame sauce is light and not overwhelmingly sweet. I loved that it was served on a bed of steamed broccoli. * Stir-fried string Beans with Beef: Tasty! The string beans were stir-fried to perfection, and the beef was tender and flavorful. Overall, Asia Village is a good cuisine to get popular Cantonese dishes. The price is right, and the portions are plentiful. I always end up with leftovers for lunch the next day whenever we dine here.

What a great find! It's right next to the ufc gym. We came here to get some takeout after our workout. Right when it opened at 11:00, the place already had 2 tables and a ton of takeout ready to go. I ordered: Signature hand shredded chicken -- it had a bit of lettuce so it's served cold like a salad. The chicken is very well seasoned , delicious like Chinese poached chicken. Singapore vermicelli-- it came with petite shrimp that is tender and crisp. Great flavor and very authentic overall. Dry sautéed string beans - very tender and perfectly cooked. Overall delicious and very authentic Chinese restaurant! You also get a free iced lemon tea. Very similar to the kind you get at a Hong Kong coffee shop!

Prices have been going up over the years where only the monthly special is enticing for the value. We knew to go early, since they don't take reservations and we often see lines outside. We arrived at 10:30am and the front manager said if we can be done my 12:30, that they had a table for us. Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.

Ironically, I'm not a fan of them myself--they're a bit too eggy for my taste. When it comes to dim sum quality and service, I honestly prefer Koi Palace. The food quality there is more consistent, and the service is much more phenomenal. The only things this place really has over Koi Palace are the lower prices and those black sesame custard buns my friend loves! I've been here at least a dozen times, and the food can be hit or miss. Sometimes dishes come out cold, like they've been sitting out for a while instead of being served fresh and hot. That said, there are a few items we always order that are consistently good when brought out fresh like salted crispy pork chops, siu mai, shrimp rolls, and fried calamari. Be prepared for a wait on weekends since it gets crowded. If you're coming with a large group, it's best to arrive before noon. The restaurant is located next to a hotel, and finding the restroom can be confusing since it's inside the hotel. Service is also pretty minimal--they seem understaffed, and I almost always have to flag someone down just to get basics like soy sauce, chili, and water. I don't understand why they don't just have the sauce on the table for guest to dip, but I get that they're saving $ on controlling the cost down. On my most recent visit, the experience really went downhill. Our table had food but no soy sauce, chilli nor water, and when I flagged a waiter multiple times, he got visibly annoyed and irritated. It was frustrating--we shouldn't have to chase someone down repeatedly for basic condiments. Being met with attitude for that honestly left a bad impression. That experience alone makes me reconsider coming back. Good food at a good price is one thing, but poor service--especially to that extent--can really ruin the overall experience.

So we ordered 4 dim sum items off the menu. No one told us how long it would take to get these items. We ordered traditional dim sum items and at most dim sum places it would just take a few minutes. But after 20 minutes, nothing had arrived. We asked one of the workers and he angrily told us it takes a long time to prepare them. After 5 minutes one item showed up. But after waiting 20 minutes we decided to leave. As we were paying the bill, another item showed up so we just took it home.
