Came here with family after having this place on my list for so long. It wasn't too busy on a Friday evening, but it definitely got busier by the end of our meal. We ordered the 口水鸡, and it was so good. Chicken was tender/not dry at all. We also ordered the signature braised beef noodles and traditional Chongqing spicy noodles. While I enjoyed the beef (very tender and well-cooked), I enjoyed the Chongqing noodles more. Food came out quickly and hot. Service was pretty good! Parking can be challenging, especially during busy times since there are so many other restaurants in the area. Was pricey so might not come back super often, but overall, pretty good experience.
Tasty food, I usually only get the chicken noodle soup and sides. It's really good, but I've noticed when I go earlier in the day the broth doesn't taste nearly as flavorful. I guess they need to simmer the broth longer? Portion sizes are generous, though sometimes the tables are close together and it can get kind of loud in the restaurant. Overall, food is good. We also like to order the cucumber salad with the garlic marinade. XLB was ok, nothing special. A good place to go for a comforting bowl of noodle soup. Service is pretty minimal, you order on your phone.
I really love the noodles. They remind me of the ones I used to eat in China. The chicken soup is flavorful, and the rice noodles have the perfect texture--not too soft and not too firm. The lemon water is refreshing, and the food is prepared incredibly fast.
I got several different items for lunch here. Duel Rice noodles - This came with beef chunks and beef tendons. Not overly spicy but the chili oil and spices that were cooked with the broth and the noodles packed so much flavor! It wasn't merely heat, but flavor bombs as well! Steamed Osmanthus Cake - Delicious! Spongy and chewy, sweet but not overly sweet. I actually really enjoyed with dish. The aroma was fragrant and the texture was immaculate. Couple beef in chili sauce - Delicious. Chili sauce really did the job in this dish. It wasn't overly spicy but id serve as a seasoning factor an flavor factor for the beef itself. Overall, solid place for a nice big bowl of noodles!
This place never fails me. So comforting. Noodles are so easy to eat and high quality. perfect texture. the service is quick and owned by sweet chinese couple who are extremely hard working. The vibe is really comfy 真的好吃!

took a while for the food to come out, but they also seemed to be understaffed & service was p much non-existent. you had to get up to find a waiter to ask for water refills, black vinegar, napkins, etc. restaurant was super generous with the cilantro, noodles were nice, & broth wasn't too salty, but this place didnt rly stand out to me flavor wise. all the tables were tightly squished together and it was quite loud inside so would probs recommend getting to go at this place instead overall, decent, but id probs check out other places in the area instead before returning to yu noodle
The restaurant has a decent amount of indoor seating and is air conditioned. The portion size is decent and is very very spicy. The beef noodle soup is delicious and the other noodles were not as good as we expected but it was still good. Perfect place for if you enjoy spicy food. The dry noodles were very chewy. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms are clean.
I've been here twice and haven't regretted it either time. In my opinion, this place has a genuine Chinese vibe. When I was in Guangzhou, the café there had exactly the same aroma as this place. That made me realize that even if this isn't an authentic Chinese spot, it's at least close to the real thing. The food here is very tasty. I've already forgotten the names of every dish on our table, but we ordered a lot of food, and it was all delicious and well-seasoned with sauces and spices. I'd especially like to mention the cucumber salad--it was very tasty and juicy. In this hot weather, it was an oasis for my palate. The food is delicious. The staff is excellent and very kind.
Hubby was craving some spicy noodles but Tong Dumpling was closedown. That was his go to choice for spicy noodles. We looked on Yelp and decided to give Yu Noodle a try, The restaurant is nice, clean, and bright; kinda pleasant. We were served a jug of water with a couple slices of lemon and some mint which was a nice touch. We ordered by scanning the QR code. Food came out quite quickly, service was efficient and friendly. We shared their Signature Braised Beef Noodle and the Steamed Pork Dumplings. The noodle came with a generous amount of good quality beef. We ordered it with standard spiciness and it was really, really spicy. I think it's a bit much for a regular order, they may consider toning down the level of spiciness or let people choose their desired level. The Steamed Pork Dumplings were surprisingly good. The skin was of great texture and perfect thickness. The dumplings didn't feel dry even towards the end. The pork filling was juicy and tasty. Overall it's a decent noodle house.
Came for a late lunch and they sat us down even though they were closing in 20 mins. I had no idea they closed at 2:30 pm until I pulled up their yelp to see what I should order. They were so nice and service was fast. Since we didn't want to keep them too long, we ate our food in 15 minutes and left. We did see another group come in 5 minutes before closing and they did not rush them. I only got a photo of the appetizer since I was trying to quickly eat and let them close in time. Signature braised beef brisket noodle ($19)- flavor was good but the noodles were overcooked as they were mushy. The beef soaked in all the flavor. Mr. And Mrs. Yus couple beef mix in chili sauce ($15) - beef was tender and tripe was soft and crunchy. The chili sauce was savory and spicy. This was my favorite out of the two we ordered.
I went for a lunch with my sister since we're craving for a noodle soup. We've been meaning to try it so yeah we're excited. We ordered spicy beef noodle and ground pork noodle (forgot the specific names). We didn't care for the beef one but the pork one was ok. We won't be back since the foods didn't match with our taste. The place was quite busy tho. It's very casual place to eat and the parking is unpredictable since it shares with other businesses.
Food is good, worth for waiting. And staffs are nice and patient. The noodles are spicy and numbing.

The noodle soup was very spicy and oily, almost to the point of being overwhelming. The spice and oil dominated the bowl and overpowered the other flavors, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I was hoping to. The bean jelly appetizer was also very sour and strong from all the vinegar. I was hoping for more of a savory and spicy balance rather than the vinegar being so dominant. read more
We came on a Saturday lunch and were seated quickly at the counter area. The food also came out pretty fast, which was perfect cuz we were starving. The Dan Dan Mian was a bit different than what I've had before, but still very delicious and flavorful. Not too spicy, but they had chili oil on the side to add. The spicy Chong Qing noodles definitely had a kick! I really enjoyed the texture of the noodles and the spicy oil coated the noodles really well, even for a soup dish. The fried egg on top was a nice touch to break up the spice. Would recommend for a quick and reliable noodle place, especially if you're already picking up groceries or boba in the plaza. 8.5/10! Super solid spot for great flavorful Chinese food. Chongqing noodles: 8/10 Perfectly al dente. Nice mala flavor, but could be more fragrant and wish it came with more protein Sauerkraut fish: 7.5/10 Nice bouncy fish that's not too fishy. Great acidity and spice, but the sauerkraut flavor could be stronger. Some mushrooms tasted a little too mushroomy and didn't go well with the dish. Green beans: 8.5/10 Amazing! Would definitely recommend. I've never had such flavorful green beans before! The fragrant garlic perfectly complemented the nice chili spice and the umami from the ground meat. The servers were 10/10 amazing!! Very attentive and prompt despite the full restaurant. Ambiance was casual. read more

The Dan Dan noodles was the best order of the night. The beef noodle soup is super spicy, and I can usually handle spicy things. I sort of think that the spice takes away from the flavor. The dandan noodles are spicy too but not to the same degree. The xiaolongbao is good! read more

Their noodle dishes are sooo good! I might be biased because their food is perfect for spice lovers. I got their Chongqing Influencer, which includes beef pieces, tendon, and intestines. The overall portion was pretty big, especially the beef pieces, but I don't remember there being much intestines (maybe like 2-3 pieces). I saved half of the noodles for leftover. The noodles were perfectly chewy, not too soft, but very well seasoned. My entree was spicy enough, but I also tried out their spicy condiments on the side (via the table) because I was curious. IT WAS SO GOOD. It's not just spicy. It's also very flavorful. The appetizers were just okay, but their noodles really hit the spot. Highly recommend if you love spicy food. read more

We ordered the Influencer Noodles with Beef and Tendon and the Cucumbers. Service was quick - you order on your phone via QR code and they deliver it to your table. The noodles were great for a cold rainy day. We unfortunately forgot we don't usually like tendon. Portions were big with about 2-3 large pieces of beef (and lots of tendon). My partner and I stopped by here after grocery shopping at Ranch 99 and it was pleasant! We ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and Chongqing Noodle. The noodles were the same for both dishes, and were good and chewy! They provide the perfect amount of mala in the dishes where it's not overbearing. I was able to drink the soup from the beef noodle soup without feeling super numb from the spices! read more

Walked by this place a few times and decided to stop by and have dinner here last week. We ordered: A1 signature braised beef and pork intestines noodles: 4/5 the broth was tasty. Hubby was sweating while eating it, so yes it's spicy! He said it would have been better with just the intestines. A4 chicken noodles soup: 4/5 nice clean broth. Chicken was a little dry and tough. A11 chongqing classic noodle with fried egg: 5/5 spicyyyyy but very good! I like the texture of the noodles and the peanuts. Left my lips tingling. I added a side of ground pork (good thing they served it in the side, I ended just packing it to go). Hometown Crispy pork: has a kick to it, kids liked it but I thought it was ok. "I'm a noodle lover and I can eat spicy food. But mala sauce is definitely not my thing. It's like my taste buds are having an existential crisis every time I try it. I hate the Sichuan peppercorna. We ordered the pickled vegetable noodles with ground pork and the special spicy beef noodles. The pickled veggie one? Pretty decent! The beef noodles? Let's just say it was a lot. The bowl was drowning in chili oil--it felt like a spicy slip-n-slide for soup. I don't know how people enjoy a flavor that makes your tongue go numb and your lungs question their life choices. I've been to Yu Noodles couple times for dine-in. Their menu has less items and it's due to the fact that they're understaffed (based on what is stated on their Yelp account. When i was there I only saw one cook in the back and it took us 30+ minutes to get our food for dine-in on Sunday. Bummed but that's the reality now for most restaurants. My wife and I are a big fan of their mala (麻辣) Sichuan chili sauce. I usually order the Signature Braised Beef Noodle Soup. Tons of noodles drenched in broth and mala chili sauce. I got the mild chili level and that was almost unbearable. I can take spicy, but this kind is different, so be careful. Don't even try finishing their soup. They're also really generous with their braised beef, which is a major plus. My wife ordered the Shredded Beef and Pickles Noodle Soup. Their pickles are just Chinese Saurkraut called suan cai (酸菜). I'm used to suan cai as a side dish, but not an entire soup, so this was not something I'll order since i'm not into sour stuff. My wife wanted to try something new, so this was a very positive experience for her. My Korean Father-In-Law had mala for his first time and really enjoyed it. He was surprised that his tongue went numb after a few bites into his Signature Braised Beef and Pork Intestine Noodle Soup. Interesting first time for him. read more

Comes with a side of mala powder seasoning. |-| Signature Braised Beef Noodles ($15.98) Thin, al-dente noodles steeped in a flavorful and spicy beef broth topped with crunchy peanuts, tender bok choy, and cilantro. The beef itself seems to be a bit tough at first glance, but it breaks apart super easily once you bite into it. I only got mild spicy for this dish, but feel free to get something spicier if you're willing to take the risk. Visit: 7/11/21 Solid noodle spot! I would totally come here again. Came here with Shuhan and Lawrence after hiking, and we were starving! We were quickly seated and were given paper menus. You can also order through the QR code. 1) A2 Signature braised pork intestine rice noodles ($15.98): note, there seem to be 2 different dishes on there with pork intestine, A2 or B3? I guess you should ask them what the difference in the noodle is like? + Generous portion size! + Like the spice/mala in the soup! + pork intestine didn't taste grimy, so that is a good sign they cleaned it well! 2) A3: chicken noodle soup (free range chicken, bone-in) ($15.98) 3) A6: Pork shreds and Sichuan pickle noodles ($15.98) Just thinking about the soup on a cold winter night makes me salivate. 4.5 STARS Ever have something vibrate then go numb? Ladies (or fellas), I'm not talking about your vibrator that went kaput. I'm talking Málà... That addictive spice that makes your tongue tingle, vibrate, burn, then go numb. All you spicy food lovers, you know what I'm talking about...it hurts so good! Well, until you reach the porcelain throne but that's another story. Cupertino Village is filled with regional Chinese restaurants so it's hard to decide which one to try. I've regularly seen the line outside of Yu Noodle which says, a lot....along with their 4 star rating. Yu Noodle's specialty is Chongqing Xiǎomiàn, spicy and numbing noodles. They're pretty new, opening early 2021, in the midst of the pandemic. They're open for takeout, delivery (Fantuan, HungryPanda, DoorDash, UberEats), indoor dining, and outdoor dining (3 tables). Although there's a QR code on the table, the server said, he would take our order. He got busy so I just went inside and placed my order at the counter. FOH wears masks. M E N U Cold Apps (pig ears, beef shank, cold chicken in chili oil, bean jelly noodles, etc.), Dumplings, Chongqing Xiǎomiàn (wheat or rice noodles), Entrees (boiled fish in chiles, steamed pork belly, etc.), and Dessert (sticky rice cakes w/ brown sugar and osmanthus rice cakes). The powder is aromatic, flavorful, and numbing. Addictive like spiced booger sugar. Eat this while it's still hot. The pork doesn't taste as good as it cools especially the fatty pieces. Beware of the Sichuan peppercorns! My tongue went completely numb several times because they're hidden in the batter. * B3. 招牌紅燒肥腸米線 Signature Braised Pork Intestine Rice Noodles ($15.98): https://bit.ly/3DQ0DnA Huge bowl of slippery, al-dente rice noodles swimming in steaming bone broth with nicely chewy pork intestines (no barnyard funk), chili peppers, preserved greens, and crisp bok choy, drizzled with chili oil and garnished with roasted peanuts for crunch and cilantro for some freshness. While spicy and numbing (my snot was running), it was flavorful, complex, and well-balanced. It's not hella spicy to the point it blows out your palate. This is similar to the pork intestine noodle soup but with braised beef shank and wheat based, alkaline noodles. The chunks of braised beef shanks were so meaty and tender. You can tell they were cooked low and slow. S E R V I C E Friendly and prompt but don't expect any check-ins. I had to go inside to order and pay afterwards. Come here strictly for the food. A M B I A N C E Clean and minimalist. About 10 tables indoors (tight squeeze) and 9 low counter seats for solo dining. Three tables outside. No heat lamps. P A R K I N G Shared parking at Cupertino Village that can be difficult on the weekends. Come before noon and you're good. Overall, solid Chongqing Xiǎomiàn and a great option if you're craving a steaming bowl of spicy and numbing noodles...because baby, it's getting cold outside! read more

Still love this place! Just went again yesterday and got the beef bone noodle soup. The broth was so beefy, but clear. Felt so nourishing but flavorful. Kind of reminds me of pho broth! It's a good not spicy version for days I'm not feeling the szechuan spice. Wish the bone was a bit meatier, but it was still delicious! read more
