    106. Bun Tom, Thit Nuong, Cha Gio (Grilled Shrimp, Pork and Egg Roll with Vermicelli)
    Amy K.

I have not had pho in a long time, and I think this was my first time trying pho in Mountain View. The 106 was so good and is now my go to Vietnamese dish. If I am not getting banh mi, I would definitely order this again. The meat was smoky with a slightly sweet flavor and was seasoned really well. I loved how they added a lot of vegetables. The pork roll was also really good. We also got the 44 pho soup and the broth was amazing. It was rich, flavorful, and all the ingredients tasted fresh. I would definitely come back again. The parking lot is spacious since it is located in a plaza.

#125: pork chop, bean curd wrapped shrimp, grilled shrimp on sugar cane, egg cake. $26

3/5: #125: Pork chop Com Tam deluxe. The bean curd wrapper shrimp paste, and grilled shrimp on sugar cane is great. But the pork chop and egg cake is below average. Not nearly as good as the places in Vietnam Town in San Jose. $26. 2/5: They dump way too much cream into the Thai Iced tea; it ruins it. Ask for cream on the side.

Super good food and staff was really kind. Chicken was juicy and had a great marinade. I loved it

    70. Sweet and sour chicken noodle soup
    Julia S.

Service here is quick and the menu has a nice variety of options at fair prices. I also like the extra chili sauces available at the table. Today I tried the #70 sweet and sour chicken noodle soup. I was craving a different flavor to pho. It was a little sweeter than I expected, but overall the blend of tangy sweet and sour and a little heat was great. Chicken was a lot of skin, difficulty to eat because it in chunks still attached to a line of carcass, and it's a little dry too. I don't want to downgrade this place just because I chose something different and didn't like it as much. I think if you stick to regular beef pho it will be yummy!

11/13/2025, New Ownership. I was a bit skeptical knowing that there's a new ownership of this restaurant. This has been my go to place. I tell you what, It was already good before, but now it's even better! I always order the beef ribs, tender, flavorful fall of The bone beef ribs, two big ones for 12 dollars, they are by far the best to Do it! Very consistently that what I love about it! New owners are very nice and new servers are also very nice! Hands down the best in the area!

My friend and I recently went to see a movie at Mountain View Cinemark. We were craving pho after the movie, so of course I turned to yelp to find a place close by with good reviews. Enter Pho Tran Vu! Small place in a busy shopping mall, but the food was delicious and served fast. My friend opted for the beef pho and I got the wonton and yellow noodle soup. I also ordered the pork and shrimp potstickers to share. It had all the fixings that traditional pho restaurants have. It really hit the spot and I'm adding this to my rotation of pho spots, particularly after a movie!

This place will close in a year. Going to drive to Castro street

I wrote bad reviews for their soup before. Knowing their soup is not good I was looking for rice, pork skin, a REAL Vietnamese meal. I wanted to order #124. Looks good right? $26?! I went to use the restroom. A few minutes later restaurant said I could not use the restrooms because of my review. I won't go back to this place. I would rather drive 15 minutes to San Jose or 5 minutes to Castro Street. This place will be out of business in the next couple years.

The food here is consistently good. The pho is served piping hot while the spring rolls are freshly made. The employees are very Attentive. The ambiance is quite peaceful and relaxing

Came here on a Monday evening as a group of 4. Didn't have to wait for a table since it wasn't busy. Decided to order #35 - beef pho with rare steak and flank beef. Two other people in my group also ordered pho. Before bringing it out, they brought out one plate of toppings... for the 3 of us, who ordered pho, to share. The 4th person in my group got a separate plate of toppings and hers was the same size as ours. Not sure why each of us didn't get our own... For the pho itself, the broth was so bland. When the broth is bland, I feel like the whole meal is bland. The noodles were quite stuck together at the bottom and took a while to break apart. The beef portion was great but a bit dry as well. Service was nice - they kept checking in on us and were very friendly. The food was not noteworthy.

29House Special Beef Noodle Soup (ox tail)
    Eunice T.

Solid meal. I love how they have everything you might need pre set at the table. They have a lot of condiment (difference spicy sauces) and even included a scissor in the utensil bucket. I ordered the house special pho with the oxtail. It was a pretty big piece and very tender. There's only one piece of each protein though, so meat-wise, it felt like there were less than other places. However, it is Mountain View, and the bowl price was under $20, so it's understandable. (FYI, they have two sizes available to choose from) The part I wish could be better: the pho noodles were stuck together in a chunk at the bottom. It'd be nice if they could separate the noodles before serving. Broth was okay. Standard pho.

My family and I visited this restaurant during their 10-year anniversary, and it was delicious--we loved it! The Banh Hoi is one of our favorites, and we really enjoy making our own spring rolls. Another favorite of ours is the Pho Suon Bo; I love the beef rib, which was tender and fell right off the bone. You know it's good when the pho is packed with your favorites like beef and tendon. One downside was that I ordered Thai tea but received Vietnamese coffee instead. While the coffee was good, it was extremely strong--just one sip and you feel wide awake! If you're looking for great pho, definitely try this place. They don't skimp on the meat!

Bún Tôm (shrimp) Thịt Nướng (grilled pork) Chả Giò (egg roll) ~ rice vermicelli replaced with lettuce ~ sooo good

Pho Tran Vu is our solid lunch spot routine after a morning weekend hike, lunch and then Costco shopping. It's conveniently located in a strip mall. The people here are always friendly, and the service with food and drink is quick. I always go between some pho or a rice vermicelli dish with my side of beef broth. When I'm feeling ravenous, I get the beef rib pho. The meat just slides right off the bone. Not all Vietnamese joints have the big beef bone pho. Once in a while, I'll go for the chicken salad, but anything you order here is delicious. All the fresh veggies and juicy, flavorful meat make Pho Tran Vu a solid Viet spot. They are generous with the meat and veggies if you need a little more bean sprouts, basil or jalapeños. I'll be back again soon before my next Costco run!

I came here on a whim because I was getting my car tinted nearby. I ordered the BBH #69 small and the bowl was definitely really small specially for the price... I wasn't too hungry, so I was able to finish it. I was also disappointed that for the price it didn't even have pork knuckles in it. Just some pork slices. The meat was also lower quality because it was really chewy. My husband got their chicken banh mi and they asked if he wanted pate and he said yes, but they failed to tell us that the pate was an extra $1!! Pate is a STAPLE in banh mi's, but yet it costs EXTRA to have it? I'm mainly upset that they didn't even tell us that it was an extra cost. I also ordered a Salted Lemon drink which was actually really good! Its taste reminded me a lot of my childhood. I think I would be back if I was nearby again and was craving soup, but otherwise I probably would skip this place since it is pretty expensive for SJ. There are much better pho places here and for cheaper.

The two of us were dubious about the Millionaire's Bacon, because it was hyped up to the point where it seemed unlikely that it could live up to the reputation. We were wrong. We ordered the Millionaire's Bacon sampler platter, which is four strips of long, thick pieces of bacon, baked with brown sugar and spices. There is the original, which is brown sugar, cayenne, red, and black pepper, which was sweet, salty, and the perfect amount of spicy. The other slices were orange, cinnamon, and rosemary. My partner enjoyed the orange best, whereas I loved the cinnamon, but we both thought the rosemary was underwhelming. The bacon itself was very thick and meaty with a minimal amount of fat, and was just clearly high quality pork. Truly worth the hype. We also got the bottomless mimosas, which not only had multiple choices of juice (we got raspberry lemonade) but were surprisingly heavy on the champagne. The waiter kept them coming without us needing to ask, to the point where I had to tell him I was done because I was a little too tipsy for breakfast. My partner got the chicken croffle, and was very impressed. I tried the fried chicken (though not the croffle) and it was very well spiced, very crunchy, and well cooked--juicy and tender. I got the big hip, which is deep fried "french toast". I wouldn't call it french toast myself, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with fresh fruit, butter, and syrup. There wasn't enough syrup for the entire dish, but I asked our waiter for more and he came back with it in less than a minute. On top of the food being as close to perfect as you can get, the service was great. Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

The host received us warmly, but things slipped from there. Our table was missing cutlery and we had to flag our server down to get it sorted. We asked for a minute to look over the menu since it was our first visit. He did not come back for five minutes, and only because we flagged him down again. When we ordered, he took our request without making eye contact, attention clearly elsewhere in the restaurant. One dish came out. The second did not. Our server never circled back to check on us, and seemingly did not notice that one of us had no food in front of her. After nearly ten minutes, we flagged him down again. He called over from across the restaurant, not walking to us, with a "what?" We had to gesture that my guest still had no food. He came over briefly, confirmed our order, said it was coming soon, and left. No apology. No acknowledgment of the wait. No offer to make it right while one plate sat getting cold. The food eventually came, again with no apology. It was good. But by then, honestly, the experience had overshadowed it. We asked for a manager. Cathy came over, listened, and immediately apologized. She agreed the service fell short, gave us a break on the bill, and handled the situation with real grace. She is the reason this review has any stars at all! For reference, our server's name on the receipt read Mui F. I hope Cathy's conversation with him makes a difference, because Sweet Maple clearly has the food to back up its reputation. My husband started off with the wagyu beef tartare tartlet, which he enjoyed. For our four shared dishes, we got: 1. Scallion Croissant: This one was my fav! Recommend eating it all fresh while the texture stays crisp on the outside. The rou song (meat floss) flavor from the butter didn't come out as much as I'd like it to but I still enjoyed the Asian twist to the croissant. 2. Yeobo, Darling Chicken Wings: It didn't feel very special, but I'm always down for chicken wings. Could've been more tender. I enjoyed the shishito peppers that come with it. 3. Lu Rou Lasagna: A fusion of two things I really love! Lu Rou is slow braised minced pork belly. I forgot what the green "pasta" is made out of, but it was tasty. I had to get the chili oil on the side (due to my husband's spice intolerance). Not sure how it would have been with the chili oil incorporated into the dish, but I didn't think the chili oil added much. I bet Lao Gan Ma (chili crisp + chili oil) would've been superb with it. 4. Chilled Perilla Somyun: This was a refreshing dish, which helped balance out the other heavier dishes. I wasn't super wowed at first bite, but enjoyed it more and more with each new bite. I wanted to try the Wagyu Kalbi, but the price point is more than what I'm comfortable with. We opted out of dessert, but were pleasantly surprised when they brought out a small dessert for our anniversary. It was some sort of roll with chocolate over it, yum! Service was great. I appreciate that they inquire about food allergies prior to ordering. Throughout the meal, they always made sure our water cups were filled. The food itself doesn't necessarily make me want to come back a second time, but it was great as a one time date night spot!
