Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles - definitely a top favorite! They don't skimp out on the beef pieces which is a plus. The shaken beef is nice and tender and nicely seasoned along with the noodles and veggies. They even have extra sauce on the side to add if you like your noods extra saucy. Grilled Pork, Grilled Shrimp, Egg Rolls & Salad with Vermicilli - very fulfilling and I enjoyed the ratio of meats to noodles. The pork is tender and they gave a good mix of lean/fatty pieces which I enjoyed. Service is great and I have no complaints. There are a ton of tables/booths to sit at. Parking limited and shared with other businesses in the strip mall. The restaurant is next to a medium size grocery store and across the street from a school. I had a large #17 Pho with sliced steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe, and noodles. The broth was lacking flavor. The sriracha was so watered down that it ruined the soup when I used it. The sauce is nice, pretty strong. There was a little salad with pickled carrot slices. I liked that part of the rice had a crispy shell. There was a decent amount of lemongrass flavor and I didn't find it too spicy, so I liked it overall and thought it was a solid vegetarian option. Sadly, I have to give this place a low rating. This restaurant is very close to our home and used to be one of my favorites. I can't have too many carbs, so I asked for half the noodles and to substitute the rest with bean sprouts. However, I was charged $3.00 for a small plate of bean sprouts. I have never experienced this at any other restaurant. I feel like I either have to eat the noodles or pay extra just for a few pieces of bean sprouts, which is frustrating and unpleasant. But that's what all the condiments and toppings are for, right? My friend got a chicken dish and egg noodles, which they enjoyed. I came to Pho Lovers for lunch the other day, and I'm so glad I did. The place has that cozy, no-frills feel clean, comfortable, and always smells amazing when you walk in. I ordered the Pho Lovers Special with rare steak, beef balls, and oxtail, and it was so good. The broth was super flavorful and comforting you can tell it's been simmering for hours. we ate there about a week ago. We had a group of 10-12 people. Everyone liked their food and if I rated just on the food I'd give them a 4 or maybe even a 5. For me though, the experience was soured when it came time to pay. First they tack on an automatic 20% tip. I think a default tip of 20% is excessive, especially since prices for everything has already gone up a lot. Next was the fact that they wouldn't split the bill (even if we included the excessive tip). And then the kicker, if you want to use a credit card it's another 3.5%. I understand small businesses wanting to deal with the cost of credit cards but the max I've ever seen, until now, is 3%. Needless to say, we won't be going there as a group any more. The quality of the food doesn't compensate for trying to add nearly 25% on top of the bill. read more

1st and last time here. We got Pho Dac Biet which was very average. The garnish plate was barely enough for 1 person let alone 2, had like 3 branches of basil and 5 jalapenos. Probably my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Sunnyvale! The restaurant has a hole in the wall vibe, but indoors the decor is very nice and feels welcoming. The food is excellent, and we have been especially impressed with the spicy noodle soup and lemongrass tofu, but the regular pho and spring rolls are also great. The staff are also flexible with modifications to dishes as needed. The drinks menu is also varied, with not just iced coffee (which is delicious here), but many nice fruit juice options as well. The only minor complaints I have are that the service has often been pretty slow, where we had long waits before our food arrived, even when there weren't many other customers, and that parking can be somewhat tough since the lot is small and shared with the adjacent grocery store. read more

When I'm not feeling soup, I usually order that with a side of rice. Although tucked away in an unassuming spot, the interior is spacious, clean and homey. It shares a parking lot with a neighboring market though, so parking can be a challenge sometimes. Service is great when it's not busy... but when it is, it can be a little slow, which is expected. The reason why I gave 3 stars is because of the parking. It was an absolute nightmare. This restaurant shared a tiny parking lot with the grocery market next door.
