    Fried egg rolls

*LOCATION* This hole-in-the wall restaurant is located in a small run-down-looking plaza with a small parking lot. We randomly found it on google and decided to check it out because it was close by. *WAIT TIME* We had a late lunch on a Saturday ~1:30pm. The restaurant is very spacious inside and there were only a few tables occupied so we got seated right away. *FOOD* Fried egg rolls: piping hot and fresh, very crispy and yum~ Pho w/ steak and fatty brisket: this was my first time being able to specifically order fatty brisket, it was sooooo good!! *SERVICE* Our waiters were friendly and took our order quickly. They came to check on us during the meal and offer us more water. No complaints here :) *AMBIENCE* This restaurant is the typical Vietnamese place you think of. There's nothing particularly special about the interior but the food was good and decently priced. We'll definitely keep this place in mind next time we're in the area!

Good food, nice price. What's more are you asking for? I keep coming back. No brainer for dinner for a work day.

My favorite pho spot around here portion sizes are nice and the vibe of the spot is very relaxing. Service is super quick, the team is on top of it! Thank you pho nam!

Divey lil' mom n pop type pho noodle house. Very convenient for weekday lunches though. Enough parking if you get there not at high lunch time. Basic pho.

I've tried countless pho spots across the Bay Area, but I always found myself going back to my all-time favorite--Pho Kim Long. Even after checking out numerous places recommended by my Vietnamese friends, none of them quite hit the mark when it came to satisfying my pho cravings--until now. Since moving to Sunnyvale, I decided to explore local options and stumbled upon this unassuming pho restaurant near my home. The exterior isn't flashy, but it gave off a very authentic, Vietnam-street-vendor vibe that immediately caught my attention. To my surprise, this was the only pho place I've come across in over 30 years in the Bay Area that also includes Korean language on the menu--a rare and interesting find. Even more surprising? The pho here was not only delicious but also more affordable than Pho Kim Long and most others in the area. The quality held up just as well, if not better. Honestly, it was very good. So good that I no longer feel the need to drive all the way to my usual spot. Why pay more when you can get the same (or better) flavor closer to home? I'm beyond happy to have found this hidden gem. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for top-notch pho at a great price. Service was good and quick as expected.

Enjoyed my early weekday dinner at Pho Nam. The atmosphere was cozy and lowkey, and everyone else around us seemed to also be enjoying the food and atmosphere. They have a pretty extensive selection of items. I ordered the small #1 which was the perfect portion for me. Food came out super quick. The meat was thin and had good texture, and the broth was deep in flavor and savoriness. I like that they also do a drink + entree combo option, and might come back to try their drinks. We also ordered the eggrolls (2pcs) and I like that they use a slightly different wrap than traditional eggrolls. Seems they take cash for orders under $20 (as of this review). Service was quick and friendly. There were zero issues parking in the plaza lot. Honestly I've been looking for a good local pho spot and while there aren't as many options as the SJ VN town area, I'd say this is a pretty decent option in Sunnyvale. Glad I gave this place a try.

Best pho place in north Sunnyvale! Family owned, quick service and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, lunch specials. I usually get their pho tai chin nam, the broth is good and portion size is appropriate. Other favorite dishes are bun thit Nuong (grilled pork and cold noodles) and the Bo kho (beef stew). Their rice plates are pretty good too. When my mom doesn't want to cook, we'll order from here. My parents are pretty picky with Vietnamese food, so you know it's authentic. Their decor may be a bit outdated, but the place is clean.

This restaurant is in a tiny strip mall close to Mercado, between 7-11 & Bogarts Bar. So random! Driving past it on my way to Mercado, always wondered if it was any good. Well, it was! I am simple & just got Pho Tai. The broth was very flavorful and the steak was fresh. I got a small at $16 or so and it was the perfect amount. Also got spring rolls. They were ok. Definitely will be back when I feel like a bowl of Pho for lunch. Only down side is that the parking lot is small.

Restaurant looks a little run down, a little hole in the wall. Service is incredibly slow and not too friendly. All forgivable qualities for me, but the food was not good! I ordered the banh mi. Bread was stale. The meat was not flavorful with a bad texture and the vegetables were limp. You can tell the sandwich is not fresh. Prices are low for the area but definitely not worth the price.

Pho nam is a small hole in the wall right next to AMC Mercado. The cashier lets you pay separately for splitting up credit cards so its nice. The pho is pretty standard san jose Pho but the waiters are nicer and more accommodating. Parking is limited in front but if you park on the side theres plenty of parking. Would always recommend #1 large and their grilled pork vermicelli is pretty good too!

It's been a while since we've come here for lunch. The place is still the same with old attentive service, delicious pho and great price. The pho broth is always flavorful and plentiful with meats and noodles. The prices have gone up but still less expensive than many restaurants around. For lunch with time is the essence, the food delivered quite quickly. I love this place and only come here if I need a hot bowl of pho. For 2 people is less than $30 including tax. Can't beat the price anywhere. It may not be as fancy and romantic for dates, but the food will make your date happy LOL.

Definitely a hidden gem. It's in a small plaza with a 7 Eleven, Sports Bar, and Liquor Store. I passed by it a few times on my way home. I was craving a Vietnamese Beef Stew. I walked in at 6:40ish, not knowing the time they closed. I wish I knew it was at 7:00pm. I probably would have left because I don't like being that person who keeps the kitchen open longer. Secretly, I'm glad the person, I presume the owner let me be the last person they served for the evening. The place is a outdated, but I don't mind because it brings me back to my childhood at old Chinese restaurants, but this is a Vietnamese restaurant let me make that clear. I ordered the spring rolls, I got two for $4.55. It reminded me of how my friend's mom made them, which was perfect. I ate it so fast that I didn't even take a picture. I did order the beef stew with noodles. You can choose from bread, noodles, or rice. The noodles is like pho noodles. The soup was delicious and full of flavor. The broth and the soup was meaty. Also, the carrots was soft. I asked for extra onions and cilantro because I like a lot of it. The price for my meal was only $20. I'm pretty impressed for being in the Bay Area. Next time, I want to try their smoothies. They all looked good. This may be my spot for Vietnamese food especially because it's local owned and I try to support those places the most.

Some of the snacks are familiarly American, but many are Vietnamese snacks/drinks more uncommon here, including fermented meats, honey comb cake, and more. The menu on the wall has a lot of photos, but it also doesn't cover everything you can order here. According to their menu, they primarily serve bahn mis and other sandwiches, but you can order spring rolls. I love their spring rolls, and it's all I really order here. I wouldn't recommend eating in, as it is really cramped, but it's a great spot for quickly picking up some good food to take on the go.
