    12E. Curry Tofu Spring Rolls

As christine said, "this is what i want when i want food". I would be sooooo happy if a place like this opened in ny. It is delicious and lovely. Btw i dont think u need the veggie pate but it was fun to try.

I've been to Cam Hung a few times now and they've been really good for the value (most are less than $10/bahn mi). The baguettes are fresh and just flaky enough. They are generous with the ingredients but it can get dry when there's not enough of the pate or mayo in the bahn mi. Their eggrolls are also really good and crispy. Service has always been friendly and my order is always ready within just a few minutes. I want to try their other snacks and drinks next time!

First time we had catering with them. Food arrived on time, which is good. I had the shredded beef but personally I'm not a fan of banh mi because I don't like the cilantro or the pickled radishes; I always pick them out. After that, it's just a bun with some proteins inside. The bun is not bad but lacking some freshness, the meat is ok but again not a lot of freshly cooking heat in it. I also tried the fried tofu one, same vibe. The cup of fruit had watermelon and melons, green grapes and a cherry; watermelons are not for the season, so not like super fresh either. The fried spring roll was cold so not very inspiring. Overall an OK lunch but nothing to crave back again. I heard people actually prefer the meat ball banh mi or the grilled chicken which are more flavorful.

I was in Sunnyvale and got a craving for nem chua. I could've drove to SJ but decided to do a quick google search to see if any places had some nearby. Cam hung is the place to go. They have fermented pork or beef nem chua. Super delicious. They also have a lot of different snacks, desserts and drinks. I definitely need to go back to try their Banh mi's!

Was in Sunnyvale for a convention and went hunting for a little hole in the wall spot... Cam Hung on Reed nailed it. Grabbed a couple banh mi to go. Bread was fresh with a nice light crunch, veggies still crisp, meat tender and tasty. Simple, real Vietnamese sandwich flavor... very yummy and still priced fair for the Bay. The shop is my kind of organized chaos. Tiny place, line of people, every inch packed with stuff. Coolers full of basil seed drinks, tamarind tea, Vietnamese coffee... stacks of green and purple jelly desserts, rice cakes, spring rolls, marinated meats to take home. Counter is covered with snacks, candies, steamed buns, random goodies. Staff was friendly and smiling. Little bit of a language barrier but nothing pointing and nodding could not fix. Place is crowded and parking is tight, and there is a small card minimum, but everything I could see looked clean and well kept, which honestly impressed me with how much they squeeze into that space. Bottom line... this is exactly the kind of mom and pop shop I look for when I travel. If you want a legit Vietnamese sandwich instead of another chain lunch, Cam Hung is worth the stop.

Had the 4A pork was good look at the bread.

4.5 this is a little gem in the heart of Silicon Valley without the tech bro prices. All bahn mi are $8 the French roll it's on is so warm and toasty. The egg rolls are $1.25 each, go get some techies.

A real gem This place has bomb Banh Mi. Don't be taken aback by its exterior. This unassuming shop is fantastic. Everything from the curt cashier, lack of seating, and dilapidated exterior indicates that the food be good. Where else are you going to fill up for $8? The bread crusty, veggies fresh, and meat is plentiful. They are heavy handed with the mayo, but it did make the sandwich extra good. We tried the combo and the bbq pork. They even threw in a free sesame ball.

This place used to much better but the quality seems to have gone down over time. The bread doesn't seem as well toasted and there's less meat portions in the banh mis. There's other selections of spring rolls and egg rolls that are decent. They make the banh mis pretty quickly. No where to eat in there so it's more of a to go place. Overall, there aren't too many banh mi places in the area so it's our go to if we want it and are in this area.

The best pastry I had. Love their pate chaud, $3 for small, quick pricey but it's worth it, crispy skin and delicious filing. The drinks are bad, Vietnamese coffee is too sweet and lack of coffee taste. Grass jelly is the worst, it has weird bitter taste, I disposed it right after first sip. Mango dessert is okay but not wowed me.

Do they sell containers of Vietnamese paté (pork liver pate) in separate containers that one can grab and go or does one have to order from counter/register? How much qty or $ ? Thanks

    Is there a gluten-free menu?

The menu is what you see is what you get. Sandwiches (Banh Mi) are definitely made with French bread, so not gluten free, but the rice rolls and spring rolls are made with rice flour. Probably stay away from the fried and baked goods under the heat… Read more

Heard good things for the sandwich there. Which sandwich would be recommended? I like the deli meat type with pate and of course the crunchy pickled veggies. Which one should I try for the first one? Any tips for ordering? Thx

1b is the Dac biet which are the cold cuts with pate and all the sandwiches come with the pickled veggies. They speak English pretty well and the menu is also in English so you can look at it. Or ask what their favorite is!

Can i buy their pate and mayonnaise here?

Yes! They do sell ingredients from their sandwiches separately the meat, pate, and even Vietnamese mayo.

Could I buy Vietnamese baguettes here?

I just telephoned a few minutes ago and I made a special order. Of course, they have the bread. A Vietnamese baguette is a source of pride for hard working people everywhere. The real question is if they are willing to break routine of selling… Read more

Between the steamed tofu or fried tofu sandwich, which one is better? I've had one where the tofu was kind of crumbly and didn't like it that much, but not sure if it was the steamed or fried one. Thanks

The steamed tofu tastes better imo. The fried tofu is a little dry so that may be what you had. I would also recommend trying their vegetarian/mock ham banh mi! It's wayyy better!

The interior is modern and really cute, and they even have a dog check-in photo wall which was so so cute ! We got the snowy Jasmine with boba. Drinks themselves were light, fragrant, and refreshing. Even at 100% sweetness, they actually weren't too sweet, I would even argue getting 125% to match other boba places 100% sweetness. The boba had a really good flavor and sweetness to it that balanced everything out perfectly. Overall a great spot to grab a drink. Next time I want to try their Pistachio Matcha Coconut water so I will be coming back!

I even got a pic of the seating without anyone in my photo. SCORE! I would highly recommend a day other than the weekend. I would give this place a 3.5 if I could. I just ordered a drink for myself and for my brother. In and out in maybe 10minutes? There's a kiosk to order and a spot to pick up your drink-- very efficient. I got the basic jasmine milk tea because I love jasmine tea and knew that if any place were to make the best jasmine milk teas, it would be this place. Molly is Chinese for jasmine anywayyyyyy (shout out to my coworker for telling me this!). I did not try my brother's tea so I cannot comment on it. I liked my jasmine tea, I can tell it was higher quality than other places I've had jasmine tea, but is it worth the hype? I don't think so. It's good, don't get me wrong, but wait-in-a-3-hour-line good? nothing is. I think I've also become desensitized to the high tea prices that $7-8 is somehow normal? When it shouldn't be! My only frame of reference nowadays is seeing how much tea cost in Asia. And in Taiwan (the birthplace of boba) I got boba for $3 ;( *sigh oh well I live in one of the most expensive places in the country but also I cannot believe I let myself think this is okay. Anyway, it's a treat, not a habit I would give into everyday.

Great flavor, good price, nice setting, friendly staff…read more I had driven by MoonTea several times and I saw the sign from the road and I have to admit, just the sign and the name intrigued me. I love the moon. I finally got to try MoonTea when I was out in the 'vale this past weekend. My lady and I walked in and checked out the menu. This was the first time I saw a milk tea menu that listed the tea strengths for each drink, that's really cool. After studying the menu for a bit, one of the guys at the counter asked me if we needed any help. Nice of him. We were wondering about the stinky tofu, since some stinky tofus are weak sauce. He said it was average. I also asked what was their most roasty tea, he wasn't sure, but he and his colleagues suggested the da hong pao. The da hong pao is one that is listed as having a strong tea flavor, which I love, so many places barely have tea flavor! So I took his suggestion, and ordered it at their recommended sweetness and ice, non-dairy. While we waited I enjoyed and grooved too the music they played. As I drove home, I tasted the tea, and it's definitely the best milk tea I have had in a while! For the price it was great value and I was amazed it lasted so long; even after the ice melted it was still delicious. This was worth the wait. Also the stinky tofu was tasty, I would get it again.

It's a bit of a mixed bag depending on what you get. The lychee milk tea with 50% sugar and less ice was a 6.5 because you can barely taste the lychee, it was very faint and just tasted like a regular milk tea. The da hong pao milk tea with 25% sugar and less ice was also a 6.5 since it had a really strong herbal taste that I wasn't a huge fan of. The best one was definitely the ceylon cheese milk tea at 25% sugar. It was way more creamy and rich than the others so I'd give that a 6.9.
