I recently just came in, I called in to place an order and they told me they don't take phone orders only walk ins and pick up. I was thrown off a bit-- since I'm already on the phone? Anyways, I said okay, hung up and placed an online order. I ordered a Thai tea no ice + BBQ pork Bahn Mi. The Thai iced tea was close to being perfect! I'm Thai so I can tell between good Thai tea and not so great. Regardless it was tasty! The banh mi was great too but I felt like it lacked a bit of flavor. The reason for the 3 stars is not because of the food but rather the service. I walked in, they noticed me and we made eye contact. I had to be the one to greet first... which is fine but that doesn't feel the most welcoming. As I mentioned earlier -- I ordered a Thai tea with no ice. I'm aware that usually places don't fill it up all the way. So when I received it, I asked if they could top it off and I would pay for it. The woman said "okay, it'll be 75 cents & I agreed to pay it. The girl was going to ring me up and asked if I had cash. Long story short-- they told me minimum payment had to be $5. So I said "it's ok, thank you". A little disappointed-- my family used to own a Thai restaurant. We would always offer refills while waiting or top off if costumer didn't want ice. Stopped by today to pickup some sandwiches for our lunch. I recently had tried their food, for the first time, at a catered event and really enjoyed it. They are in a small strip mall in Campbell. The parking lot is also small but had plenty of vacant spots. It's really small inside the store. There are two tables inside for dining and a few chairs at a booth. There are quite a few tables outside for outdoor dining. I was warmly welcomed by the owner. I ordered one grilled pork banh mi and one grilled chicken banh mi with pâté added to it. Saw that they had a nice selection of tea drinks that they made but they all had dairy in them. I asked if they had any without dairy. The owner said he could make any of them without the dairy, which was so nice. I ordered the passion fruit green tea and the honeydew free tea, both with 50% sweetness. My whole order took only 6 minutes. The sandwiches were delicious. I loved the grilled chicken. I'm also glad I took a chance and added the pâté for $1.50 extra. It's worth it. It worked perfectly with grilled chicken. My husband really enjoyed his grilled pork banh mi. We both loved our fruit teas. Both were so refreshing and tasty. This place is always rock solid! I can't believe I gave them 4 stars in my last review ( I plead temporary insanity) My go too is number 10 mushroom, and tofu. Let's start with the bread, they have one size and one size only "huge" the bread is always fresh, soft in the middle and crispy all the way around but not hard so it will not tear open the roof of your mouth "if you know what I mean" honestly the bread is amazing. Now the inside ingredients or innards as I call them C-; is just wonderful, tofu, mushrooms, loads of freshly sliced hot peppers " jalapeño I think", cilantro, and of course, pickled veggies. Let's me tell you, they don't skimp on the ingredients. Yummee Sandwiches gives you quantity without sacrificing quality!! IMO they have the best Banh mi sandwich around. One last note.... Small Vietnamese place with Banh Mi sandwiches. I got BBQ pork Banh Mi, grilled chicken over cold noodles and shrimp spring rolls. I thought the sandwich could use more meat and the pork was kind of fatty, I like the grilled chicken more. I ended up putting the grilled chicken into my sandwich and didn't eat the noodles they were just basic. The shrimp spring rolls were very large! It came with 3 and peanut sauce. Even though I've driven by hundreds of times, I don't think I would've found it if it weren't for the banh mi search! I went with the BBQ pork and grilled chicken banh mi's to share. I liked the pork better, and my boyfriend like the chicken better. They weren't the best banh mi's I've tried, but they got the job done. They had lots of cilantro and jalapeño, both of which I tend to mostly pick off, but if you are a cilantro and jalapeño lover, these would be great for you. Didn't have too much expectation as I've never heard of Yummee before but I was really craving a Banh Mi. Staff was super nice and friendly, very small place but quick. Pricing is around $10-11 for 1 sandwich. But SO SO flavorful, the bread was also perfect, not too bready but crispy and fluffy. The pate was my favorite, I think it's because it has a strong onion or garlic flavor. I personally prefer this over some of the more famous and popular ones around the bay. Wanted to pick up lunch to go after working out at a nearby gym, so I did a search for banh mi and found this shop. It's a pretty tiny place, but the lady behind the counter was super nice. I asked her for a recommendation among the different pork sandwiches and ended up getting the pork belly with pate, everything on it. I also had a jasmine milk tea. My sandwich and drink was ready pretty fast, and I took it home to enjoy. While I am not an expert in Vietnamese food, I thought it was delicious! A healthy portion, too. It's in a small plaza with other miscellaneous shops, and it's a very small place with a couple tables inside and outside. I asked the gentleman, who I presume is the owner, what he recommended. Family run, they are sweet, caring, and very interactive with their customers. The sandwich was large, full of fresh veggies, and the taste is on point. I tried this "new to me" Vietnamese sandwich place in West San Jose on Hamilton near San Thomas Expressway. I didn't have the time or energy to go over to the east side to get sandwiches for our event and saw this on yelp with good ratings. I called them up and they were able to accommodate me with 20 sandwiches right at 11 AM on a Saturday. Note that they open at 11 AM. Calvin, the owner, was Awesome to work with. We had a few special requests like jalapeños on the side and each sandwich cut in half. The order came out perfectly and was ready right when I arrived at the store. They have a great way of labeling sandwiches in the wrapper. Guess we're able to select a sandwich without manhandling them. Guests liked the sandwiches a lot. Did not regret trying a west side sandwich place. I hope we use them again and I am heavily lobbying our folks to use them for catering. Sorry, no pictures. Been looking for a banh mi shop in Campbell area and stumbled upon Yummee! I saw the sign and figured why not give this place a try! I got sandwich #1 with the cold cut and pate! The restaurant name is very well deserved because yummy was the first thing I thought when I bit into the sandwich. Soft bread center, but still a toasted on the outside, fresh bread. Delicious pickled vegetables, and the meats are so fresh and tasty. Super fast and great customer service too. There are a couple of small tables inside and a couple outside (great for the upcoming season, especially since it's starting to warm up). I also wanted to commend how kind the staff were because the owner's husband called her and told her to tell me I had a flat tire, I had no idea. She was really kind to let me know and then I was able to get a tow truck. She let me stay inside and sit while I wait since it was chilly. The guy seemed annoyed that I requested for the pickled veggies on the side, and told me it's an extra 35 cents for a plastic sandwich bag. This review is for the taste, quality and lack of customer service. This is my second to me here. My first time was a few years ago and the banh mi was very mediocre, so I didn't go back since there are other places that make great banh mi. Then I recently had someone tell me they really liked the banh mi from this place, so I decided to give it another try. The daughter took my order and put in the wrong banh mi. After it was made, I didn't pick it up since it was not what I ordered. Then the daughter proceeds to tell me tht that's what I ordered since she put in the wrong banh mi. The banh mi also took about 15 minutes to make and I was the only one there at that time. The only way they could think of to correct their mistake is to charge me again. Not even an apology for their mistake. Really?!!!!? I decided not to deal with the hassle and took the incorrect banh mi. Then I was getting to my car to leave. The man comes out and looks at me. Right after that the women. Then the 2 daughters come out to look. VERY STRANGE and unsettling. Well, he banh mi was as I remembered...very mediocre. The one thing different this time is that blabout 45min later, my stomach started to hurt and shortly after I was sick.
