Miso Salmon bowl ($20.72 after tax). Very scant serving of rice and Salmon piece on small side.

I attended the soft opening today and have mixed feelings. On the positive side, the food quality was excellent--the salmon was perfectly cooked, and the avocado and cucumber were incredibly fresh and delicious. Because it was a preview event, the meals were complimentary, which was incredibly generous. However, two things missed the mark. First, the greeting at the door set a strange tone. The staff member letting us in explicitly told us to be "kind" to staff since it was their second day--while his coworker used some profanity just as we were walking up. It felt like a pre-emptive reprimand before we even walked through the door, which wasn't a very welcoming vibe. (I should mention that I also work in the service industry & have acted in a managerial setting, so I do understand the nastiness of some folks. However, I'm all about not shaming people & making assumptions before walking through the front door.) Second, portion consistency needs some work. My salmon bowl barely had any rice at the bottom and the salmon piece was on the small side, meaning I finished my meal long before my daughter finished hers (and she eats super fast, I was waiting awhile, and you can compare the bowls from my photos below). It's also worth noting that the Miso Salmon Bowl is $21.45 after tax. Compare that to World Wraps for $19.37 which includes the tax & service fee, however, at the latter restaurant you get more for your $$$). Maybe this was an oversight and they were low on rice? The ingredients are fantastic, but hopefully, management can focus on a more welcoming customer service and consistent portions before the official grand opening. Ambiance is nice and minimalistic. Not a ton of seating inside. Outside there are a few tables.

Good quality ingredients, Ordered a salmon protein plate. Protein portions were dissappointingly small for price.

It's big enough where I was full after it and my fiancé was full half way through hers. I got spicy tuna and shrimp and tons of sides. The service was good too. Super nice and friendly as it was my first time there so I didn't know exactly how to order. But they made it nice and easy process. The only thing is, it's $22 a box but it's worth it. I'll be going back for sure and recommend it to everyone.

After an excruciating Bikram Yoga session--the ultimate torture chamber--I spotted a new place…read moreacross the building that immediately piqued my curiosity. I walked in, relieved to discover it was a poke spot, and decided to have lunch there. I ordered a bowl with white rice as my base and two proteins: tuna and yellowtail. To my surprise, I could add five toppings, so I went with crab meat, mango, cucumber, edamame, and scallions. I don't recall the exact sauces or sprinkles they put on, but the bowl was enormous--which explained the nearly $30 price tag! I grabbed a seat by the window overlooking the parking lot. The chair was a bit snug, but I didn't mind as I dug into my fresh, flavorful poke bowl. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The staff member helping me was new, shadowed by the manager as he assembled my order, but he did a great job! After another grueling 90-minute Bikram Yoga session, I debated between returning here or grabbing Taco Bell, which was much cheaper and in the same shopping center. Despite the price difference, I chose the healthier option. Since the restaurant was packed and I was eager to get home, I decided to order to go. This time, a young woman helped me build a bowl with half purple rice and half white rice. Purple rice is a highly nutritious whole grain, so I was eager to try it. It had a ougher texture to chew than white or brown rice, but I still enjoyed my lunch. For protein, I chose tuna and spicy tuna. I rattled off a long list of toppings before realizing I'd already hit the five-topping limit. I wished I could swap one of the mangoes out, but instead, I paid the extra $1.25 for an additional topping. The young woman was efficient, and I was out of there in no time. Overall, I'm a fan of this restaurant. I can definitely see myself coming back after future Bikram Yoga sessions in the 'torture chamber.'
