Service is decent although pick up location is inconsistent between workers, sometimes it is in the marked shelves for pick up but sometimes you have to approach a staff member and ask for your order at the designated pick up time. I had the best salad from Mendocino Farms for dinner tonight. It is called The Seasonal GOAT with Pink Lady Apples. It was huge and all of the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The salad consisted of chicken, goat cheese, pink lady apples, honey roasted almonds, shaved fennel, pickled red onions, mint, romaine, kale, and mixed greens. I had them hold the dried cranberries and hot honey. The proportions were perfect and there was good stuff all the way at the bottom of the bowl, not just leftover lettuce. The only thing I didn't care for was the vinaigrette dressing. That worked out okay because the salad had so much flavor it didn't need dressing. After an hour of shopping at Marshall's, my friend and I were in desperate need of some lunch. It was very busy at Mendocino Farms today. We got in line and waited for our turn to order. Once we placed our order we found a seat and waited for our food to be delivered to our table. Most of the tables were taken but we did find one that had finished trays and napkins all over it. Unfortunately we had to clean it up ourselves so we could sit there. The manager saw us cleaning it up and he came by to wipe the table down, which we appreciated. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich chicken pesto capresse and a side of curried couscous. I also grabbed a bag of chips. The manager, helping me at the register was so nice. I was skeptical of ordering the couscous because I was afraid it would be too spicy. The manager told me that I could get something else if I didn't like it. We waited about a good 15 minutes for our food. Good thing we got there when we did. While we were waiting for our food, the line started getting very long and was out the door. Since it's Veterans Day, there were a ton of people out and about at the Prunyard and they all decided to eat at Mendocino farms, Lol. Our food was very good. I really enjoyed my sandwich. The spicy curried couscous wasn't my favorite. The manager came by and said he could get me another side instead. I chose the pesto shells. They were very good. Such a spacious and cute location with lots of outdoor seatings! Lovely decorated with wall plants and string lights, it's automatically a Yes for a dog mom like me who loves to bring their fur baby with them in all the eating adventures. You spot again the plant decoration throughout the store which makes the inside just as refreshing and inviting as the outside area. Head straight down to cashier area, order whatever calling for you, grab the receipt from with the order number on it from the cashier and feel free to head back to your table. You can grab a cup too and self serve yourself water if needed to. Once you're back to your table, scan the QR code on the table and enter your order #. That way, the staff know where you're seating to bring your orders to. I love that they have a screen with the menu displayed on an iPad-looking device which each is attached to each cash register. I can easily pick what I want from the menu there without craning my neck to look at the menu on the TV far away :) We ordered the Chimichurri Steak and Bacon and Chicken Pesto Caprese sandwiches. Our orders came out quickly and were neatly and cleanly presented on a metal tray. I love the portion and the sumptuous amount of veggies in each sandwiches. My chicken pesto Caprese sandwiches has shaved, roasted chicken breast, fresh mozzarella, marinated red peppers, basil pesto, mixed greens, balsamic glaze drizzle (600 cal) on panini-pressed clabatta! We ordered two Caesar salads and a steak sandwich. We also ordered the couscous. Everything was delicious and since we called in our order, it was ready when we arrived. It was not Thursday when I saw the sign but I made sure we were there the following Thursday. My toddler is starting to like pizza so she was happy they offered it on the kids menu. Honestly, I love Mendocino Farms. I try a different sandwich every time I come and I'm never disappointed. I really like the potato salad and beet salad there as well. It's not a secret that the food here is fresh and delish, so if you go during lunch or dinner time expect the lines to be long. I am not a fan of waiting in lines, so I tend to go during the less busy times or during the week. You can pretty much guarantee the staff will be super friendly and knowledgeable, as well. This particular Mendocino Farms is, in my opinion, in a great location. Located in the Pruneyard, it's a nice spot to hang out. One of my favorite ice cream spots is there as well. I love coming here on nice Fall days. They have some outdoor seating and I've spent a good chunk of time here with my laptop doing homework. Came in today for the first time since my friend chose this location (my usual location is in Santana Row), on May 2 around 12:20 PM. Ordered $30 worth of food and then went outside to choose a table to sit down. The table I chose was dirty and one of the workers came out to deliver food to someone else and so I asked her if she can wipe down the table. She looked at me as if it was a strange thing to ask for such a thing at a restaurant, and then she looked at the area where they kept the towel and cleaning spray, which was literally right next to the the table I wanted to cleaned. I guess she felt like it was below her to do such a thing to help me and muttered that she will be back and walked away. I stood by the table waiting for her and 10 minutes minutes later I'm still waiting. My food comes with another worker and I told him that I'm still waiting for the table to be cleaned and the lady with the blue checkered top refused to help me. Right away he apologize and helped me clean the table while I helped him hold my food. I asked him for the other worker's name was Vanessa. So Vanessa, you need to learn that you're not above the other employees, and you have guaranteed that this new customer is never coming back again. Am I so out of touch with pricing these days to be so caught off guard with sticker shock at a $15 sandwich?! Is this the new normal now? Holy cow. We came by for what we hoped to be a quick lunch during off-peak hours close to 2pm on a weekday. Ordered online for pickup, but when we got to the restaurant 20 minutes later, the pickup rack was bare. After another 10+ minutes, the staff added a few more bags and mine was there. The chicken parmesan sandwich with marinara dipping sauce was rather small for the ~$15 price point. The chicken slices were thin and surrounded by plenty of red-orange sauce. There were small slabs of mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. I wasn't the biggest fan of how they breaded the chicken. There was a lot of breading to chicken, so the ratio was off. It also wasn't your typical chicken parmesan breading - more of these random crumbs that were flaking off the chicken already. It made me uncomfortable and a bit weirded out while eating since it felt like eating leftover scraps from someone else's whole chicken parm. The chicken was also scraggly and not an entire piece of chicken breast - which is what I'm used to chicken parm being. This is my first time trying this sandwich here, so I'm not sure if this is how it is usually prepared. It sure didn't match the online menu picture. I know I definitely hadn't ordered the "Not so fried" chicken sandwich, which does come with those crumbly "fried" bits, which I wasn't a fan of either. Overall, I think the sandwich could've been much better and more worth the high $15 price point had they used whole chicken breast that was properly breaded and sized up the sandwich. For $15, I would expect to get a meal out of it - would make sense to have fries and a drink included at that point. This location (being in Pruneyard) is also not very convenient. Parking can get horrendous in this shopping plaza. I also hadn't expected food to take so long to come out. I don't think I'll be back again. read more

The bread was good, but I would have preferred a toastier bread as the sauce made it kind of soggy. There was a good mixture of cilantro and jalapenos - it would have been better with a little more veggies (I tend to like the veggies more than the meat).
