Close up of the sliced apples, goat cheese, and pickled red onions.

I had the best salad from Mendocino Farms for dinner tonight. It is called The Seasonal GOAT with Pink Lady Apples. It was huge and all of the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The salad consisted of chicken, goat cheese, pink lady apples, honey roasted almonds, shaved fennel, pickled red onions, mint, romaine, kale, and mixed greens. I had them hold the dried cranberries and hot honey. The proportions were perfect and there was good stuff all the way at the bottom of the bowl, not just leftover lettuce. The only thing I didn't care for was the vinaigrette dressing. That worked out okay because the salad had so much flavor it didn't need dressing. I will definitely be back, probably many times, for that salad again.

Years later, this is still my fav spot to grab a salad! Friendly staff and good food. Love their seasonal and rotating menu- always excited to try new salads and sandwiches. Only thing to note - online orders take a long time, so order a bit early!

After an hour of shopping at Marshall's, my friend and I were in desperate need of some lunch. It was very busy at Mendocino Farms today. We got in line and waited for our turn to order. Once we placed our order we found a seat and waited for our food to be delivered to our table. Most of the tables were taken but we did find one that had finished trays and napkins all over it. Unfortunately we had to clean it up ourselves so we could sit there. The manager saw us cleaning it up and he came by to wipe the table down, which we appreciated. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich chicken pesto capresse and a side of curried couscous. I also grabbed a bag of chips. The manager, helping me at the register was so nice. I was skeptical of ordering the couscous because I was afraid it would be too spicy. The manager told me that I could get something else if I didn't like it. We waited about a good 15 minutes for our food. Good thing we got there when we did. While we were waiting for our food, the line started getting very long and was out the door. Since it's Veterans Day, there were a ton of people out and about at the Prunyard and they all decided to eat at Mendocino farms, Lol. Our food was very good. I really enjoyed my sandwich. The spicy curried couscous wasn't my favorite. The manager came by and said he could get me another side instead. I chose the pesto shells. They were very good. I will definitely come back again soon.

A solid sandwich and salad place. The store itself has lots of seating and feels very open. The service is standard - you order your food and pay first before finding a spot. My food arrived quite quickly despite there being a crowd. I enjoyed the dishes I tried. The Seasonal GOAT with Pink Lady Apples was refreshing, with crisp apple slices and a zesty vinaigrette balancing the smooth goat cheese. I always enjoy the chicken pesto caprese. It features fresh mozzarella, slices of chicken, marinated red peppers, mixed greens, a fresh pesto, and delicious ciabatta. Mendocino Farms is so consistent with their food, and I know I'll always have a great meal here.

Love this location! Ingredients are much fresher and more well prepared than the Santana Row location, food is always fresh and delicious. Service is good, ambiance is clean and modern if a little outdated. Overall I love coming for the limited seasonal items, and look forward to returning!

Impressive and tasty Mexican flavored Baja green goddess salad and true to its name. Came with adobado chicken and the creamy and saucy flavors with avacado+roasted corn+black beans+ onions+ Monterey Jack cheese and taco crunch to top this up! Awesome and must have when in Mendocino farms!!

I really don't know how it's taken me this long to try Mendocino Farms. Always thought Mendo's was in the overpriced salads and sandwich vertical - in some ways, this is true. But there is no denying its quality. This location in Campbell is super cute. Plenty of outdoor seating, fair amount of indoor seating, right at the entrance of the Pruneyard, next door to the Trader Joe's. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago for a Farm Club. I was surprised at how fresh everything tasted, from the bread to the tomato. I'm not even a vegetable guy. Today, I made an account and got to BOGO Sandwich deal. I'm writing this as I am eating my second sandwich for today that I built on my own through their site: Toasted foccacia, applewood smoked bacon, prosciutto, fresh mozz, calabrian aioli, pickled red onion, shredded romaine, and mama lil's peppers. I'm an italian deli diehard so I made as close to one as I could with their limited ingredients. It was amazing. 5/5, would get again. I can't justify paying $20 for a small sandwich regularly, but I sure won't feel bad eating one off a BOGO deal. 4/5 overall.

Service is friendly and fast. The A/C felt so nice on this 90F day. After you order at the counter (the LED menu is not interactable don't ask me how I know that), you scan the barcode at a table and someone brings out your food to your table. * Seasonal GOAT salad with Pink Lady Apples - sooooo good. It's sweet and tart with chopped almonds for crunchies. I found myself picking at the dried cranberries because they were also pretty good. Overall a good salad with quality ingredients. * Prosciutto & Chicken Panini - DRY. I needed to dip it in some kind of sauce to be able to scarf it down. I can see it pairing well with a soup because of how it's drier than the Sahara. I also could not taste the prosciutto and was confused when I tasted what seemed like bacon. We also got the Pomegranate and Mint Lemonade which was so yummy and refreshing. It is tart but not overly tart for me. If you like your drinks really sour the Guava Lemonade had me temporarily blind from having to squint at every sip.

Such a spacious and cute location with lots of outdoor seatings! Lovely decorated with wall plants and string lights, it's automatically a Yes for a dog mom like me who loves to bring their fur baby with them in all the eating adventures. The inside of the store is lovely as well with ample lighting and variation of bar-type seating areas by the windows or more private booths. You spot again the plant decoration throughout the store which makes the inside just as refreshing and inviting as the outside area. Head straight down to cashier area, order whatever calling for you, grab the receipt from with the order number on it from the cashier and feel free to head back to your table. You can grab a cup too and self serve yourself water if needed to. Once you're back to your table, scan the QR code on the table and enter your order #. That way, the staff know where you're seating to bring your orders to. I love that they have a screen with the menu displayed on an iPad-looking device which each is attached to each cash register. I can easily pick what I want from the menu there without craning my neck to look at the menu on the TV far away :) We ordered the Chimichurri Steak and Bacon and Chicken Pesto Caprese sandwiches. Our orders came out quickly and were neatly and cleanly presented on a metal tray. I love the portion and the sumptuous amount of veggies in each sandwiches. My chicken pesto Caprese sandwiches has shaved, roasted chicken breast, fresh mozzarella, marinated red peppers, basil pesto, mixed greens, balsamic glaze drizzle (600 cal) on panini-pressed clabatta! It's juicy and flavorful with a hint of balsamic vinegar and made me want to take one bite after another. My friend enjoy her sandwiches as well :) Overall, it was a lovely experience for us. I forgot to mention that the staff was polite and courteous as well which was a plus for me.

Fresh salads and sandwiches but a bit pricey. Pretty good gluten free bread for the sandwiches but falls apart a bit especially if the sandwich has a lot of sauce.

First tried their sandwiches when my husband brought some home from a work meeting. It was enough for me to try them fresh in person. While walking around the Pruneyard, I noticed that Mendocino farms was advertising kids eat free on Thursdays. It was not Thursday when I saw the sign but I made sure we were there the following Thursday. My toddler is starting to like pizza so she was happy they offered it on the kids menu. I tried the summer peach sandwich and my husband always has to get the prosciutto and chicken sandwich. For my sandwich, I loved it. It had a nice spicy sweet flavor. It was a little hard to eat with the fresh halved peaches inside but I didn't mind the mess. This is definitely a family spot when many having kids or simply casual lunch spot for friends. Well continue to come here to try the new seasonal items.

This is our go to sandwich spot when we are in the Bay Area. They make such good sandwiches and I want to try them all! They have both indoor and tons of outdoor seating.

Lucy Y.

Love the freshness and tastes of the sandwiches and salads here. It's a bit busy but the wait wasn't long and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's also nice to eat here because there's a fun plaza to explore after. I sat in the outdoor area with a cover so the atmosphere was very breezy and nice.

Are the flourless chocolate bomb cookies gluten free?

Yes

Why does their phone volume never work?

Probably because they are so busy. Every time I have been there, they had a long line. I believe that you can order food in advance on-line, and then just pick it up.

From the roasted broccoli, the plentiful baby spinach and kale ,(I asked for this to be added in. The worker subbed half of the spinach for kale instead.) -- I absolutely loved this. I've never had their pesto vinaigrette + sweet green hot sauce as dressing but this hit the spot. I can see why this bowl is one of their most popular menu items. I would get this again in a heartbeat. My only wish is that they had more grilled chicken. Other than that, no other complaints. Then about a week ago I got the crispy Thai brussels sprouts, and they were DELICIOUS! Today I got chicken tenders and the elote side dish. The chicken tenders were good and reminded me of fast food I used to get as a kid. I kinda regretted the meal afterwards because it was a lot of sodium and fried food not the healthiest choice. I am watching my weight and fried chicken probably is not the best choice for that. Starbird gave me a free $10 reward after my first purchase. I would probably go back and get either a salad or the brussels sprouts again. They do have the option of grilled chicken on a salad, so that's probably what I would get. I don't want to regain the 90 pounds I lost. Overall, Starbird is a good fried chicken restaurant with some healthy options like salads. Ambiance inside the restaurant is rushed, it's a popular restaurant and most often busy and crowded inside. You can order at a kiosk and that speeds things along. The bakery offers a place for friends to enjoy each other's company over fresh breads, pastries, coffees, and more. When I stepped into Manresa Bread, I was greeted by the fresh smells of baking bread. Scents of buttery dough, warm and slightly toasted, wafted through the air. The café was packed with customers sharing pastries, enjoying meals, and catching up with friends. I got the salmon toast, and was the presentation beautiful! Two slices of sourdough bread topped with filets of smoked salmon on an herb aioli spread. All of this was garnished with a generous helping of frisee, a few rings of red onion, a helping of capers, a couple zests of lemon, and a sprinkling of dill. And what a delightful meal! From the first bite, the salmon was smoky with a hint of salt and sweetness, with herbal creaminess and a toasty crunch thanks to the aioli and bread. The frisee was peppery sharp, a highlight and good contrast to the salmon. The mild salty brininess of the capers and the bright tart lemon zest brought notes of sunshine and sea breeze to the dish. The dill was the fresh, light, finishing touch. This was just like a fresh lunch by the seaside, and for a moment it was heaven. Where community comes together for good food, Manresa is there. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.
