Starbird is truly a must-stop for our family whenever we're visiting family up here! We always get Starbird on both the first and last days of our visits, and we've been die-hard fans ever since the very first location opened in Sunnyvale. If you're ever thinking about opening one in San Diego, PLEASE DO -- I promise it would be a huge hit! We even make a point to stop at Starbird when we're in LA because we just can't stay away! The Campbell location has become our go-to stop every time we're heading back home to San Diego, and Julio has been our guy every time we come in. He is always so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He's especially helpful when the menu has changed since our last visit and always makes sure we know what's new and helps us get exactly what we're looking for. Thank you, Julio, for consistently making sure we get the best service and for always being so friendly! It makes such a difference when we're about to start the long drive home. Starbird, please come to San Diego -- you already have loyal customers waiting! read more

Today was a big fail. My Green Goddess Salad was missing the egg and avocado and barely had any gorgonzola. We tried the Gardenbird Tenders and they were so rubbery we tossed them. They were almost impossible to bite through. And very small for the price. The fries were pretty good but I don't think they were made fresh. I've never been disappointed with the Brokaw location. This one will get one more chance. read more

Love their new Japanese line: Tokyo Sesame Crunch! This is my fave salad from Starbird aside from Elote Salad. Now I can only wish they won't take this line away anytime soon. We also love their Nashville chicken tenders. For years I thought these Nashville spices were too spicy for me but turned out the spice level just hit the spot. It was bold in flavor and very much addictive! I also love their chicken wings bone in with Lemon Pepper flavor. We think it's the best flavor amongst other flavors (bbq, parmesan). So far customer service in Campbell has been extraordinary. The manager, Elizabeth has been so sweet to us. We had catering for superbowl Sunday and Elizabeth made sure we were taken care of which was really sweet of her. We will be definitely coming back to Campbell location when we're craving for some good salad. read more

The sandwiches at Starbird are always on point. The chicken is cooked well, the flavor profile is fun and there's always enough going on to keep it interesting without being overwhelming. Definitely my go-to spot for a good chicken sandwich! read more

Some of the best chicken in the Bay Area. Starbird has been one of my go to spots whenever we're craving fried chicken tenders. This location is small but there is seating available inside and out. They offer a great variety of options including salads, tenders, sandwiches, and nuggets. The salads, especially the Chicken Chop, are a must try if you're a salad fan. The portions are big, and they don't skimp on toppings. The tenders are great I recommend the Nashville Hot if you're into spicy. You can also substitute the coleslaw for extra fries if you prefer. They also have a kids meal but I recommend getting a 4 piece tender and splitting if you are ordering for 2 kids. I'd recommend using the app were you can earn points, and it makes grabbing your food to go super easy if you don't want to dine in. This location is in the Pruneyard. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak times, but you can usually circle around and find a spot. The service is always quick and picking up your food is efficient with the system they use. If you haven't tried Starbird and you like fried chicken tenders, definitely stop by! read more

Starbird at the Pruneyard is my favorite place to take to go for lunch. The Green Godess salad is really big and full of chicken. I also like the fried chicken sandwiches and tenders. My dog also likes the little grass in the parking lot that he knows where to go. Lots of parking at the Pruneyard shopping center. You can order on the app for coupons off the food. The food is usually ready fast when I order off the app. Great catering trays of tenders for parties as well. read more

Starbird is one of my favorite crispy chicken sandwich shops as they are one of the more healthier options. Saw their new menu items and decided to try them out. Indian Hotbird sandwich - 10/10 - favorite since its spices and flavor are balanced with their slices of cucumber. Indian Hotbird tenders - 6/10 - it's alright. Since it's just dressing, onions and spices, the flavor gets overwhelming. Masala street fries - 7/10 - I think they should include more onions. There's a lot of spices so the masala flavor is there but the "street" aspect is lacking. read more

Starbird most definitely can compete with Chick Fil A if you are more health conscious. They use gluten free flour and their chicken isn't treated with antibiotics. Trying this for the first time, you definitely can taste it's more healthy than other fried chicken spots. Breading of the chicken is okay! I love their tenders and chicken nuggets, they are all crispy and the portions are good for the price. It's very affordable compared to other fast food spots. They also have a variety of sauces, I like their Starbird signature sauce the best, it's their version of chick fil a sauce. I also would recommend their salad, its very hefty and the sauces are all unique. As for their sandwiches, I think they are okay, the bread is also kind've flaky. Their fries are also always soggy which I hate! read more

I absolutely love their salads here! Big pieces of juicy chicken on top of fresh greens and other delicious things. My husband loves the chicken tenders. I only wish they had different soda - whatever brand they carry is super flat and sweet. They have inside and outside seating. We will definitely go back, but will skip the soda. read more

First time here I got a salad, which was excellent. I think it was a goddess salad but it was about a year ago so I don't remember completely. Maybe a chop salad? Then about a week ago I got the crispy Thai brussels sprouts, and they were DELICIOUS! Today I got chicken tenders and the elote side dish. The chicken tenders were good and reminded me of fast food I used to get as a kid. I kinda regretted the meal afterwards because it was a lot of sodium and fried food not the healthiest choice. I am watching my weight and fried chicken probably is not the best choice for that. Starbird gave me a free $10 reward after my first purchase. I would probably go back and get either a salad or the brussels sprouts again. They do have the option of grilled chicken on a salad, so that's probably what I would get. I don't want to regain the 90 pounds I lost. Overall, Starbird is a good fried chicken restaurant with some healthy options like salads. Ambiance inside the restaurant is rushed, it's a popular restaurant and most often busy and crowded inside. You can order at a kiosk and that speeds things along. The food is usually ready quickly and you pick up at the shelves, they have a sign telling you once your order is ready. read more

While staying at the Double Tree, we decided to walk over to the Pruneyard to find a place to eat. We spotted Starbird Chicken and went inside to look at the menu on the kiosks. They gave a little of everything so we could all eat! We ordered a Gardenbird, House Fries, Elote Corn, 3 Tenders, a Kids Meal with Nuggets and House Fries. We picked the Star Sauce and Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce. Our order was ready fairly quick. Everything was super fresh and crispy! Definitely hit the spot! read more

4 stars just for the food I felt there was a lot of hype with Starbird so I kept making myself try it to see if it was me or the hype haha but I feel like I finally got a grasp on it their Star sauce is like a creamy honey mustard or honey Chipotle bbq (similar to Chick-Fil-A) so pretty yummy, the breading for their chicken tenders is a tad salty though Starbird isn't bad for fried chicken, but it's not my fave is all~ read more

Can I just say that I am IN LOVE with the StarBird salads? OH MY GOSH. The Elote Chop Salad is my absolute favorite. I love it so much I make sure I get at least one, once a month. lol. I love their salads so much I recently got my mom hooked on them too. lol. #FamilySaladRun I was so surprised when we stumbled upon this location in Pruneyard, I never knew they had a Starbird here. I was super happy to find this place nearby because I had some rewards to use. We ordered an Elote Chop Salad, Chicken Chop Salad, 10 piece nuggets, and some Churros. The Elote Chop Salad was IMPECCABLY DELICIOUS as always. It's really perfection. I love it. I also decided to add an extra order of chicken on top and wow! There was a giant mountain of chicken on top of the salad, we were both very impressed. lol. This time I decided to try three new items. First I tried the Chicken Chop Salad and it was great! Super filling, delicious, and very high quality chicken + ingredients. I did switch out the orange sauce because it was a bit too sweet and I also prefer the green cilantro sauce. It was perfect with the green salad sauce, yummy! Secondly we tried the Chicken Nuggets and WOW you can definitely taste how high quality the chicken is with its delicious crispiness + seasonings. We paired the chicken nuggets with honey chipotle bbq, and the aïoli sauce. I forget the correct name (sorry) but the aioli sauce reminded me of a honey mustard, yet my mom said it has mayo vibes. Either way it pairs great with the nuggets for a light flavor boost. The honey chipotle bbq sauce was nice also. The last new thing we tried was the Starbird Churros. They were definitely interesting, yet yummy! They look like classic churros but they are small oval shapes and they have a light spicey ness added to them which really surprised me. lol. Also the Starbird Churros come with dip that tastes exactly like maple syrup. It's a very interesting combo for sure and I think it is great if you have a sweet tooth, (but if you don't like sweetness skip the syrup sauce for sure. lol.) Overall we enjoyed everything we ate here and I HIGHLY recommend Starbird salads to everyone because I loveeee their salads so much! lol. The workers here at the Campbell location were all very helpful and nice as well. There was also plenty of seating when we arrived and a very convenient order screen with the peoples names that I found very helpful. I also noticed this is a SUPER BUSY location. When we got there it was very modest like maybe 5/6 people in the whole place, but when we left it was PACKED like 15-20. lol. Seems like they get busier at night time. Business is definitely booming here. Although I love the salads and admire the amazing QUALITY of food at Starbird I took off one star for the same thing I didn't like previously. My only complaint is the same one that I always have with Starbird, I really dislike how the tables aren't cleaned in between patrons. It gives me a little bit of anxiety knowing I'm eating on an un-sanitized table tbh. My mom said the same thing and she's not even a germaphobic person like me. lol. I think it would be nice solution if there was at least prepackaged wipes on the tables for patrons to use themselves if the staff is too busy.. This is a very small but important detail for our dining experience. So personally as a solution for us my mom said we will bring our own cleaning wipes the next time we come because we love the salads that much. lol. Also the price is a bit hefty but you're definitely paying for HIGH QUALITY chicken so there's that. :) read more

I decided to revisit Starbird to give it a second chance after my last visit, which was disappointing due to the busy holiday season. This time, I wanted to ensure the chicken sandwich was served hot and fresh, so I ordered one sandwich via the app and another in-store to compare. I ordered the Parm Grilled Chicken sandwich. The app ordering process was confusing and overly complicated. I picked up the app order 2-3 minutes after it was marked as ready, but the grilled chicken was dry and, even worse, cold. It seemed like the chicken was pre-grilled without any effort to keep it warm--very disappointing. As for the sandwich I ordered in-store, I picked it up immediately after it was prepared, but to my surprise, it was also cold! This experience completely shattered my confidence in this location. Unfortunately, it failed to redeem itself on the second visit. Starbird is now officially on my blacklist read more

A fan of Starbird Chicken and glad to see one close to home. I ordered off the app, but was having trouble ordering my second dish off the app so the manager helped me in person. I really appreciated their attention to it and the orders were ready so quick even during a busy lunch rush. Ample seating inside and plenty outside. I am really loving their Green Goddess salad as it has all my favorite toppings like gorgonzola cheese, a perfect hard boiled egg and pickled onions. The watermelon radish on it is very nice too! Sunday afternoon, the service was bad start to finish. After placing my order on the kiosk (since no one was at the register) I went to grab my drink and they tried giving me a water cup as my small drink. I went back up to correct them and the employee seemed annoyed. I had placed my order to go and asked for forks only to realize when u got to my car they didn't include any, later I also realized even though I had ordered two fries they only included one. Additionally, the sauce included was not the one I had placed an order for. The tables inside were also dirty and had food crumbs. Employees dropped the ball. read more

Fowl Language ***Doordash® Review*** Cali-based (ca. 2016) chicken joint that specializes in fried chicken sandwiches and salads featuring everyone's favorite poultry. They currently have seventeen restaurants, fourteen of which are in NorCal and three in SoCal, with out-of-state expansions anticipated later this year in Salt Lake City & Chicago. I had a $50 credit for DD burning a hole in my digital wallet, so we thought we'd take Fri night off and order some delivery. The Good: *Order arrived fairly expeditiously, as it was placed at 4:52 p.m. & at my door by 5:13 p.m. which includes the ±10min drive from The Pruneyard to my place. *Order was accurate *Salads are HUGE and they give you a shit-ton of chicken. Salad greens and produce were fresh and not wilted. *Even with the DD upcharge, pricing wasn't horrible as you do get a lot of food. The Meh: *Fries arrived really soggy, but a few minutes in the air fryer saved the day. They were a bit underseasoned for my liking, but that's easily remedied. *Chicken was just ai'ight. I thought it was too salty and a touch dry, but still edible. It did have a nice crunch, tho. *I don't understand why the online store doesn't give you the option to change dressing on your salad type. I get that they've pre-selected it, but why not allow us, the consumers, to change it up to something different? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: *My son is obsessed with truffles, so ofc he had to get the truffle fries, which is whatever. My issue is they packed them in the same bag as the regular fries and churros, so now everyone is having truffle scented fries and churros. 0_o Conclusion: Good salads, but next time we might try their grilled chicken option instead of the fried. read more

Another great visit to Starbird Chicken! Every time we go the chicken is juicy, flavorful, and crispy. The chicken was not as hot as I would think for Nashville, but I'm kind of glad because I didn't want to be too spicy. But the strips themselves were cooked perfectly and the meat is just so juicy and delicious. The brussels sprouts were amazing. I would get them over and over again. Star, star, star, (my review needs to be read with Megan Thee Stallion in the background). I'm a first-timer at Starbird and I have to admit, I was quite impressed. I ordered the elote salad online through the app. When I arrived, it took around 10 minutes for my order to be done. The flavor was really good. The chicken was fire. So crispy, juicy and flavorful. The salad was a pretty healthy serving that I only ate half of it. I saved the other half for the next day. The tables could use some cleaning. Parking can be tough at the Pruneyard. I really enjoy the chicken tenders/nuggets from Starbird, and lately even more so on their elote salad. Ordering online for pickup is pretty seamless, but parking at the Pruneyard is pretty atrocious. Also while staff members here are friendly, when busy, the pickup area here is often completely neglected, meaning none of the customers with orders ready to be picked up can actually pick up an order. I saw at least three people try to ask or call out to a staff member that they wanted to pick up and were completely ignored. This has happened on multiple occasions. Also I was given the wrong salad before despite the receipt having the right item. I was refunded for the mistake when I reached out to their customer support, but I think it would be worthwhile for them to label their items, especially ones that look similar. All in all, I'll probably be back for the elote salad again soon, but expect a wait here during peak times and some misses, and be prepared for the parking situation. read more

I am surprised I never tried this place, but seen it driving by at certain locations. I assumed it was just chicken burgers. My coworker took me & popped my cherry.
