    The Jb44 Traditional Sub

My son loves sandwiches so we were on the hunt for a good sandwich spot. We happened to find Subs A Licious using the power of yelp. This place has a bunch of different sandwiches. From cold to hot sandwiches. My son loves tuna sandwiches so he went with their Tom Brady sandwich. I went with the French dip while my daughter chose the kid grilled cheese and the wife snagged the JB44. Everyone loved their sandwich. Mine was good too except for one thing. It came with sourdough bread. This sandwich needs a softer more absorbing bread for the au jus and not a sourdough. No biggie. Next time I'll ask for a different bread. In the end this was a good sandwich joint. The lady making the sandwich was very warm and welcoming. I can't wait to return.

I'm a simple and lowkey person. For my birthday I wanted to knock off a bookmark and try something new. This gem is a mom-and-pop w/ great service, quick, and offers a variety. They offer breakfast, a kid's menu, different subs including vegan/vegetarian options, soups, and salads. I particularly enjoyed their macaroni salad very much. It was so creamy! I ordered the Say Hey Kid. It was delicious. Ronnie and Gavin ordered the Mike Tyson, one was subbed w/ tri-tip instead of roast beef. There were no leftovers. I didn't eat the complimentary cookies, but Gavin finished it off.

I decided to try out Subs A Licious for the first time for lunch today. The young lady at the counter was so kind and I enjoyed my conversation with her as she made my sandwiches. It's in an older strip mall. The inside is spacious with inside seating. I ordered the say hey kid and the Al Pacino. The sandwiches were made fairly quickly and I took them home for our lunch. The say hey kid had really good flavor. The thunder sauce had an unexpected kick to it. The sandwich is huge and filled mainly with sliced chicken breast and some roast beef. The Dutch crunch bread was the star here. The chicken meat was just too dry and very hard to chew. Otherwise it had great flavor. My husband likes his Al Pacino except for the bread. The sweet roll bread was very hard and stale. It was definitely not fresh. Too bad it wasn't made on the Dutch crunch bread. We also got two chocolate chip cookies that were free. That was very nice. They were just okay to us but we appreciate that they were complimentary. I'm willing to give this place another try and maybe try the breakfast sandwiches, next time.

This place is real good and the owners are super friendly. You want a good sub!? Come here. The people here are friendly and the dine in and outdoor dining is real clean and tidy. Cool soda machine and nice tunes playing while you eat. Try the Zuckerberg.

Subs of Anarchy Subs-A-Licious (SAL) is the new kid on the block, only open a few months and just a short trip from our new digs. SAL is the brainchild of a local real estate mogul and his wife, and focuses on loaded sandwiches with kitschy names, such as The Tom Brady™, The Say Hey Kid™ and The Elon Musk™--sound familiar? *cough cough Ike's cough cough* The Good: *Free chocolate chip cookie with every sammich. *Friendly service. *The meat/veggie portions of the sandwiches are pretty good but nothing amazing. *Online ordering/delivery available thru Doordash® and Yelp®. The Meh: *The bread they serve here is really sub-par, I'm afraid. Really good bread can take decent ingredients and make them shine and, conversely, bad bread will make an otherwise decent sammich not good. Their Dutch Crunch in particular is just not good, and comes off as old and stale. Ordered it twice thinking maybe the first time was a fluke, but no. Not a fluke. *No custom sandwich ordering available on either app. Not sure if this is an oversight or purposely done, but it's not good. The Ugly: *Their falafel sandwich (i.e., The Steve Jobs) was "Holy Shit that's bad" bad... Fortunately I didn't order it but Carissa said she had to force it down only because she was starving. But, to be fair, she might be a bit of a falafel snob at this point after hanging out w/ me now. :) TLDR: SAL is another one of those places that I really, really, really wanted to like but just can't bring myself to do it. Tried to give them two chances and both times it was not good. 2.5* overall but there's better options in the area.

Bread is stale and hard to bite through. Felt like a pitbull trying to bite through it.

I've been here several times and would say it's likely the better of any of the sandwich shops near me.

Stopped by today to pickup some sandwiches for our lunch. I recently had tried their food, for the…read morefirst time, at a catered event and really enjoyed it. They are in a small strip mall in Campbell. The parking lot is also small but had plenty of vacant spots. It's really small inside the store. There are two tables inside for dining and a few chairs at a booth. There are quite a few tables outside for outdoor dining. I was warmly welcomed by the owner. I ordered one grilled pork banh mi and one grilled chicken banh mi with pâté added to it. Saw that they had a nice selection of tea drinks that they made but they all had dairy in them. I asked if they had any without dairy. The owner said he could make any of them without the dairy, which was so nice. I ordered the passion fruit green tea and the honeydew free tea, both with 50% sweetness. My whole order took only 6 minutes. The sandwiches were delicious. I loved the grilled chicken. I'm also glad I took a chance and added the pâté for $1.50 extra. It's worth it. It worked perfectly with grilled chicken. My husband really enjoyed his grilled pork banh mi. We both loved our fruit teas. Both were so refreshing and tasty. I would definitely order a fruit tea again. I appreciated the excellent customer service I received here and the friendliness of the owner. We will definitely be back for more.
