The saddest excuse for Dutch crunch bread I've ever had.. I liked that I could order a whole pickle ... but that's the only think I liked.

I'm a simple and lowkey person. For my birthday I wanted to knock off a bookmark and try something new. This gem is a mom-and-pop w/ great service, quick, and offers a variety. They offer breakfast, a kid's menu, different subs including vegan/vegetarian options, soups, and salads. I particularly enjoyed their macaroni salad very much. It was so creamy! I ordered the Say Hey Kid. It was delicious. Ronnie and Gavin ordered the Mike Tyson, one was subbed w/ tri-tip instead of roast beef. There were no leftovers. I didn't eat the complimentary cookies, but Gavin finished it off.

My son loves sandwiches so we were on the hunt for a good sandwich spot. We happened to find Subs A Licious using the power of yelp. This place has a bunch of different sandwiches. From cold to hot sandwiches. My son loves tuna sandwiches so he went with their Tom Brady sandwich. I went with the French dip while my daughter chose the kid grilled cheese and the wife snagged the JB44. Everyone loved their sandwich. Mine was good too except for one thing. It came with sourdough bread. This sandwich needs a softer more absorbing bread for the au jus and not a sourdough. No biggie. Next time I'll ask for a different bread. In the end this was a good sandwich joint. The lady making the sandwich was very warm and welcoming. I can't wait to return.

I decided to try out Subs A Licious for the first time for lunch today. The young lady at the counter was so kind and I enjoyed my conversation with her as she made my sandwiches. It's in an older strip mall. The inside is spacious with inside seating. I ordered the say hey kid and the Al Pacino. The sandwiches were made fairly quickly and I took them home for our lunch. The say hey kid had really good flavor. The thunder sauce had an unexpected kick to it. The sandwich is huge and filled mainly with sliced chicken breast and some roast beef. The Dutch crunch bread was the star here. The chicken meat was just too dry and very hard to chew. Otherwise it had great flavor. My husband likes his Al Pacino except for the bread. The sweet roll bread was very hard and stale. It was definitely not fresh. Too bad it wasn't made on the Dutch crunch bread. We also got two chocolate chip cookies that were free. That was very nice. They were just okay to us but we appreciate that they were complimentary. I'm willing to give this place another try and maybe try the breakfast sandwiches, next time.

This place is real good and the owners are super friendly. You want a good sub!? Come here. The people here are friendly and the dine in and outdoor dining is real clean and tidy. Cool soda machine and nice tunes playing while you eat. Try the Zuckerberg.

Subs of Anarchy Subs-A-Licious (SAL) is the new kid on the block, only open a few months and just a short trip from our new digs. SAL is the brainchild of a local real estate mogul and his wife, and focuses on loaded sandwiches with kitschy names, such as The Tom Brady™, The Say Hey Kid™ and The Elon Musk™--sound familiar? *cough cough Ike's cough cough* The Good: *Free chocolate chip cookie with every sammich. *Friendly service. *The meat/veggie portions of the sandwiches are pretty good but nothing amazing. *Online ordering/delivery available thru Doordash® and Yelp®. The Meh: *The bread they serve here is really sub-par, I'm afraid. Really good bread can take decent ingredients and make them shine and, conversely, bad bread will make an otherwise decent sammich not good. Their Dutch Crunch in particular is just not good, and comes off as old and stale. Ordered it twice thinking maybe the first time was a fluke, but no. Not a fluke. *No custom sandwich ordering available on either app. Not sure if this is an oversight or purposely done, but it's not good. The Ugly: *Their falafel sandwich (i.e., The Steve Jobs) was "Holy Shit that's bad" bad... Fortunately I didn't order it but Carissa said she had to force it down only because she was starving. But, to be fair, she might be a bit of a falafel snob at this point after hanging out w/ me now. :) TLDR: SAL is another one of those places that I really, really, really wanted to like but just can't bring myself to do it. Tried to give them two chances and both times it was not good. 2.5* overall but there's better options in the area.

The sourdough was so fresh, chewy texture with a crunch to the crust. The au jus was flavorful but not too salty. The guy at the counter was nice and made my sandwich quick. Might be my new go to spot for sandwiches.

Thick subs!

On a Roll…read more Family-owned deli that's been in business for almost as long as I've been alive (ca. 1979) and serves up maybe the best deli sandwiches in the South Bay. While I do love just about any and every type of food, there's always been something about a good deli sandwich that brings me back to childhood and my uncle's old delicatessen. I've even gone so far as to institute a "Sandwich Friday" for our weekday dinners, and as of late, we've been going to Zanotto's Willow Glen, as it's on my route home from work, but the other day we changed things up and came to the Sandwich Mill--and boy, I'd forgotten how great this place is! But to keep things fair, I decided to do a sandwich-off and see whose sammy reigns supreme--allez cuisine! Bread: This might be the most important part of the sammich, in my opinion, and The Mill beats the shit out of Zanotto's on this one. Their bread is so soft and fresh, like a pillow that's been in the dryer. While Zanotto's breads, despite how busy they always are, always seem old and stale. Also, The Mill has a croissant option! Winner: Sandwich Mill Toppings: Pretty standard across the board, as both have a variety of mustard, sauces, and the usual cavalcade of classic sammy toppings (e.g., pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.). Winner: Draw Meat: Zanotto's has a larger selection of deli meats, including prosciutto, but The Mill has Italian sausage and meatballs. Winner: Draw Cheese: The Mill just has a small handful of classic cheeses to choose from, while Zanotto's has a bevy of classics as well as some exotic stuff like Hatch Chili Cheddar, Smoky Cheddar, and Horseradish Cheddar, to name a few. Winner: Zanotto's Ordering: Zanotto's doesn't have an online portal, unless you use DoorDash, but then it only connects to the Rose Garden location, which is way across town for us Cambrian residents. Plus, DD equals paying extra $, while The Mill has a really easy-to-use website where the price you see is what you'd pay in-store. Winner: The Sandwich Mill Accouterments: Zanotto's has a whole grocery store of stuff you can buy, including beer and a giant selection of crisps. While The Mill only has a small selection of crisps. Winner: Zanotto's Price: Zanotto's sandwiches are $14/ea, while you can get a regular for $10 or a large for $14 at The Mill. Pro Tip: If you like wraps, The Mill's wraps are easily twice the size of Zanotto's and for $5 less! Winner: The Sandwich Mill Ambiance: Zanotto's parking lot sucks and it sometimes takes forever--especially on weekends!--to get your sandwich thanks to their lack of online ordering. At The Mill you place your order online and by the time you arrive it's ready for you. Easy in. Easy out. Winner: The Sandwich Mill **DING DING DING DING** Conclusion: It was a tough battle, but The Mill comes out on top with a decisive final score of 4-2-2. While Zanotto's is still a damn, fine place to get a sammy, I think we'll stick to The Mill from now on.

It wasn't ready when I got there but not big deal, they made them right away. I found these to be legit sandwiches. Authentic deli style which is rare on this side of town. The couple were accommodating and quirky, definitely a mom and pop place. I would for sure go back .

Hahaha although I loved their classic with added on avocado, and the egg was so light and fluffy, but the sauce is in the avocado, gave it such great flavor I didn't even care!! My three-year-old niece loved her classic sandwich without the sauce since she's three and she can't have too many flavors. Lol but she really liked the dirty Tots!! Hee My aunt truly loved the coconut water Matcha drink so I actually came back and got her a second one! Funniest thing is, my aunt doesn't like Matcha, but she loved how there was fresh coconut inside and how they're Matcha didn't taste grainy or like grass. Lol. Service was incredibly quick, but it is a little squished when you are standing in line so I waited outside for my takeout food. This is such a great location though!

This is in a busy complex where the parking lot is always a bit of a disaster. I did go early on a Saturday so it wasn't too bad. There are both outside and inside tables, and plenty of people hanging out and enjoying their breakfast. I didn't love the avo & tomato sandwich, I think because it has a fried egg and not the fluffy scrambled eggs, so the egg kind of disappears and most of what you taste is the bun. The tater tots were fantastic though, as was the special coffee with vanilla. I think I'd go back to make sure I order something with the fluffier eggs. The staff was very nice and also hard working. The food came out fresh and quickly!
