    Chicken Pesto Parm salad bowl
    Lorie N.

First off, I love me a healthy colorful salad. Something about salads make me feel good VS eating a pizza/ hamburger + fries. And while I just found out that the Chicken Parm Bowl (which I loved) is still pretty high in sodium, it's still a better choice than a fried food alternative. Here's my take: CHICKEN PESTO PARM BOWL- Antibiotic-free roasted chicken, spicy broccoli, tomatoes, shaved parmesan, garlic breadcrumbs, golden quinoa, organic baby spinach, Sweetgreen hot sauce and pesto vinaigrette: In one word, this was delicious. From the roasted broccoli, the plentiful baby spinach and kale ,(I asked for this to be added in. The worker subbed half of the spinach for kale instead.) -- I absolutely loved this. I've never had their pesto vinaigrette + sweet green hot sauce as dressing but this hit the spot. I can see why this bowl is one of their most popular menu items. I would get this again in a heartbeat. My only wish is that they had more grilled chicken. Other than that, no other complaints. Side note: There's no bathroom here so we had to head into Mendocino Farms next door to use theirs.

Came here for dinner and truly enjoyed their health options. You can either custom a bowl or order a preselected one. I'm a huge harvest bowl fan. Kale, almonds, wild rice, apples, chicken, and chickpeas (I switch out the sweet potato) in one sitting? Count me in!! Taste: 5/5 no notes. I love that they have a lot of super healthy ingredients here and they have a list that shows where they sourced them from. Parking: Confusing because some parts are closed off but there's plenty of spots Service: Kind and quick

The apples tasted good, but it needed more.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. Had the BBQ chicken salad, which consisted of blackened chicken, apples, pickled onions, tomatoes, cabbage, romaine, and kale. It's also supposed to come with honey BBQ sauce, green goddess dressing, and tortilla strips. The overall portion size was good and the ingredients were fresh. The apples were the best part of the salad, but it needed more. There wasn't enough chicken, either. The pickled onions, which I usually love at other restaurants, were too tart. They were out of tortilla strips. I requested no dressing, so I assumed the container of sauce it came with was BBQ sauce, but it tasted nothing like honey BBQ sauce to me. I didn't care for whatever it was. I probably won't be back.

Quick service like any cafeteria style restaurant. The employee was kind of rude and the food wasn't tasty, so I wouldn't return or recommend anyone to go here when there are so many other options nearby!

Not sure if I came on an off day, but my bowl lacked flavor and didn't satisfy me. For the price, I was expecting better quality from sweetgreens. The protein was decent but wasn't juicy as I hoped for. I built my own salad and although they do offer various ingredients, I didn't see the hype of this place. Some ingredients are charged at an extra cost and some stations limited you to a select number of items. My friend ordered one of the seasonal bowls which was a good concept. We would have never thought to add some ingredients together so it's nice that they have set options for customers as well. The staff was super patient with me and guided me through the ordering process. Clean and tidy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Located in a busy plaza with various shops, workout studios, and other restaurants.

I used to hear good things about Sweetgreen and how good their bowls are. I ordered their crispy rice bowl, and I wish there were more rice in it. It's definitely not enough. The sauce that was given for the bowl was ok. The chicken was on the dryer side, given that the sauce is already there. The ripple fries looked pretty good on the menu, so I also order that. The garlic aioli sauce pairs nicely with that.

Sweet green is like chipotle for salads. I like that you can make your own. It is VERY EXPENSIVE. Usually my salad with steak and no extras is over $20. Cheese is extra cost. Hard boiled egg is extra cost. Crunchy onions and fermented onions are included. Slide of bread is included. There's some nice outdoor seating. Lots of parking at the Pruneyard.

I come here about every other month after a walk along the Campbell park trail. The portion size is huge, you can share it with another person or eat half and save it for another meal. Unfortunately, the taste is inconsistent. Depending who makes your salad, it can be flavorful and delicious or just ok. But it definitely worth a try and a healthy choice.

Kale Caesar they forgot the tomatoes so make sure you double check.

Major shrinkflation. My last 2 bowls I ordered have way less in the bowls. Doesn't make sense to go here.

Sweetgreen always hits-- the ingredients are pretty fresh and taste natural. My go to is the caramelized garlic steak bowl

The location is convenient but tricky! The pruneyard has difficult parking majority of the time, but this location is next and right next to Mendocino Farms and Trader Joe's. Their mobile order pick up is easy and your food is ready on the shelf for you. The portion is pretty difficult and not as much you expect for the price you pay. A bowl is usually priced at $18-22 which is on the higher side for the portion size you get. They have indoor and outdoor dining and also have umbrellas outside for you!

First time visiting this healthy food spot after a post-run workout. The environment was nice, though there weren't too many tables inside. I ordered the Steakhouse Chopped salad for lunch. It came with all kinds of fresh veggies paired with beef. While the beef was average, as expected, the veggies were fresh and crisp. Overall, it's a solid spot for a healthy, refreshing lunch after a workout. Worth a try if you're looking for something light and nourishing!

Then about a week ago I got the crispy Thai brussels sprouts, and they were DELICIOUS! Today I got chicken tenders and the elote side dish. The chicken tenders were good and reminded me of fast food I used to get as a kid. I kinda regretted the meal afterwards because it was a lot of sodium and fried food not the healthiest choice. I am watching my weight and fried chicken probably is not the best choice for that. Starbird gave me a free $10 reward after my first purchase. I would probably go back and get either a salad or the brussels sprouts again. They do have the option of grilled chicken on a salad, so that's probably what I would get. I don't want to regain the 90 pounds I lost. Overall, Starbird is a good fried chicken restaurant with some healthy options like salads. Ambiance inside the restaurant is rushed, it's a popular restaurant and most often busy and crowded inside. You can order at a kiosk and that speeds things along. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. 1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.

Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like. The chili and cheese they used made it taste more like something someone could make at home rather than something I'd expect from a restaurant at this price point. The KFC (Korean fried chicken) was decent, but the flavor and texture reminded me almost exactly of Taiwanese popcorn chicken with the basil and with green onions instead.
