Ham and cheese croissant - 4/5 - I wish I warmed this one up more. They pack a lot of ham inside, which is a good thing! Chocolate croissant - 4.5/5 - loved it! Almond croissant - 5/5 - tasty and a family favorite Kouign amann - 4/5 - I'm not exactly sure what this one normally tastes like, but it was delicious too! I think this is one of the more popular pastries here. Love their pastries! It can get crowded, especially on the weekends. I normally park in the parking garage around the corner if I can't find any parking out front. It's a great spot to hangout with friends or maybe even for a small family. read more

Had a chance to try Manresa Bread and overall really enjoyed it. When we got here around 10 AM it was very crowded but the service was fast as the line moved quickly. The ambiance here was inviting and there are lots of tables and chairs where one can sit. Luckily we were able to snag a table. For food we got a latte which was very nice. We also got the ham and cheese croissant which was absolutely delicious and the guava cream cheese pastry. I got both warmed and loved it. We also got a honey butter cornbread thing with their homemade strawberry jam. This was a cool savory sweet option. Although I didn't love it, it was nice to try. I've been here a few times, and I honestly don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet. The moment you walk into Manresa Bread, you're greeted right away. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. When I stepped into Manresa Bread, I was greeted by the fresh smells of baking bread. Scents of buttery dough, warm and slightly toasted, wafted through the air. The café was packed with customers sharing pastries, enjoying meals, and catching up with friends. I got the salmon toast, and was the presentation beautiful! Two slices of sourdough bread topped with filets of smoked salmon on an herb aioli spread. All of this was garnished with a generous helping of frisee, a few rings of red onion, a helping of capers, a couple zests of lemon, and a sprinkling of dill. And what a delightful meal! From the first bite, the salmon was smoky with a hint of salt and sweetness, with herbal creaminess and a toasty crunch thanks to the aioli and bread. The frisee was peppery sharp, a highlight and good contrast to the salmon. The mild salty brininess of the capers and the bright tart lemon zest brought notes of sunshine and sea breeze to the dish. The dill was the fresh, light, finishing touch. This was just like a fresh lunch by the seaside, and for a moment it was heaven. Where community comes together for good food, Manresa is there. And where there is good food there are great memories. My time at Manresa was a memorable one, and I'll be back for more food and community soon. read more

Stopped by Manresa Bread for a quick breakfast on a Monday morning. They were sufficiently busy, but it wasn't too crowded. We ordered some breakfast sandwiches from their breakfast menu and some coffees, then found a table. They have a good number of small tables around, but if it's busy it can be a bit of a challenge to get a spot to settle in. Their service is pretty quick so we got our food and drink not too long after we sat down. I ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich and my partner got the bacon breakfast sandwich. They were both good, but I felt like the biscuit of the sausage breakfast sandwich was too dry. The rest of the sandwich though was very good. I also tried the monkey bread latte (iced), and it was just okay. The "monkey bread" flavor didn't really stand out too much to me and the coffee flavor also wasn't very strong, so it mostly tasted like a lightly sweetened light flavored latte. I didn't try any pastries this time around, but they did look quite good, so I might be interested in coming back for those in the future. read more

Woke up Saturday morning feeling very hungry. Decided to try Manresa because I'd heard really good things about their food. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a slice of lemon pistachio olive oil cake, and pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) to be delivered. I don't like to give any business a bad review and this one was especially hard after hearing how amazing Manresa is, but I didn't like the food. They didn't heat up the ham and cheese croissant, and it tasted terrible cold. Plus, the croissant itself was bitter. I know I could have heated it up myself, but after that one bite I didn't feel like eating any more of it. The frosting on the lemon pistachio olive oil cake was nicely sweet, but the cake was dense and dry. One bite and it went back in the box. After that I didn't feel like trying the pain au chocolat, so I'm saving it for later. I have low expectations. I'll give Manresa another try at a later time in case they were having an off day or my taste buds were out of whack. Update at 9pm: I warmed up the pain au chocolat in the microwave and it was actually quite good. I added a star. read more

This location is in downtown Campbell, a small quaint charming town. There are plenty of street parking though during rush hours I'm sure it will be difficult to find parking. We got coffee and iced matcha, croissant and a quiche to share. Quiche was delicious but the crust was a bit too thick and too tough for us. If it wasn't, it would've been perfect. I also got a bunch of bakeries and bread for take-out to gift to people. Their breads and bakeries look so good that I really wanted to buy everything. I think the best one for me was the plain croissant and the lemon pistachio olive oil bread!! Omg, they were so good and I wish I bought more slices! I went to the one in Los Altos and then this one. We first discovered Manresa Bread when a good friend brought us one of their loaves, and we loved it so much that we had to come visit the Campbell location ourselves. The space is bright, modern, and welcoming, with clean tile designs, warm wood shelves, and a cozy bakery vibe that makes you want to linger. On this visit, we ordered a croissant with a latte to enjoy right away, plus a takeout box of pastries. Everything was fresh and beautifully made, but the standout for us was definitely the monkey bread. It is soft, pull-apart, and has just the right amount of sweetness. It is a must-try. We also really enjoyed the variety on display, from savory ham and gruyère croissants to hearty loaves of sourdough and ciabatta. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt like a perfect neighborhood bakery stop. We will definitely be coming back to explore more of their pastry varieties and breads. The Great: Kouign Amann - They specialize in bread and pastries and it really shows because their baked goods are excellent. Their Kouign Amann has become a go-to pastry for me and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone willing to forsake their health for a moment of flaky and buttery joy. Turkey Sandwich - We had heard rave reviews about their sandwiches and they certainly didn't disappoint as this was delicious and quite unique with the addition of the chimichurri. While it may seem pricey at $17, it is big enough that it could easily be split between two people, making for quite an affordable lunch option. The Fine: Monkey Bread Latte - For such an interesting sounding drink with unique and fancy ingredients it really just ended up tasting like a slightly cinnamon-y iced coffee. Not bad but certainly nothing to write home about. The Bad: Grilled Cheese - Incredibly pedestrian and lackluster. A place with bread in the name and a Michelin pedigree should be able to make a killer grilled cheese but this particular rendition is probably better suited for the kid's menu at a chain restaurant. read more

Manresa Bread has been on my list to try for a while. I came here for lunch with some friends. Since this is located in downtown Campbell parking may be difficult as there is street parking, there's also a parking structure parking just around the corner to here. We got the kouign amann, honey butter corn scone, ham and Gruyère croissant and the jambon beurre sandwich. The kouign amann was solid, crispy crust and flaky pastry. The honey butter corn scone tasted like cornbread to me, still good. The ham gruyere croissant was a good savory croissant but I wished it was heated up. The jambon beurre sandwich was filled with uncured ham, corichons, aioli butter and bread. It was good, and a good size sandwich. Half was enough for me (my photo shows half of the sandwich). I have been wanting to try this place out, but haven't had a chance until recently. I met up with some friends after a morning playing pickleball - I think I earned a nice treat! After settling in and making sure everyone was good, we decided to order. Two of the group ordered the tuna sandwich while the rest of us ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. I was a little hesitant at first because of the onion jam, but my friends assured me it was delicious. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and some jalapeno chips to go along with my sandwich. Since there was a line at the register, I just ordered on the app and waited until my order was ready. When I went to get it, the cookie was sold out, so I opted for the chocolate banana cake instead (the very last one!). The sandwich was good - the bread was so, so yummy while the bacon, egg and cheese were good. I would have liked some mayo or something else added to it. The onion jam wasn't bad, but not something I'd purposefully go for again. The chips I had were good and the so was the cake - moist and with a slight hint of bananas. My friends all enjoyed their selection. The atmosphere is very peaceful - calm and quiet. Some people were there with their laptops working away, while groups (like ours) were there chatting and catching up. Overall, a nice place to spend some time relaxing. I'm bummed I didn't get to try more of their items as many things were already sold out at noon on a weekday - but maybe next time. Manresa is one of my favorite cafes in Campbell and one of the few places that serve solid drinks & pastries! Their plain croissant and pain au chocolat are my usual picks (if they're not already sold out) and are always flaky, buttery, and soft- perfect with a cappuccino. They use Verve beans, so the espresso is so smooth and creamy. I recently tried their iced matcha latte with oat, which wasn't bad, but I wish the matcha flavor was stronger. Service is quick! If you're dining in- they'll give you a number and bring your order right to your table. Interior is modern and cozy. Great for getting work done or meeting a friend. I didn't have any issues ordering and the cashier was neutral. I ordered a side of bacon, egg, Jasmine tea, honey butter corn scone, kouign amann, chocolate croissant, and salmon toast. The bacon was burnt, the egg seemed like a weird, microwaved square of fake egg, the kouign amann, chocolate croissant, and honey butter corn scone were ok. Their pastries are delicious, I've had a few and all have been great. Their breakfast options are limited which is a bummer especially for vegetarians. I got the bacon, cheese egg sandwich without bacon and that was about $13.50, which is pricey for something pretty basic. The onions are caramalized in a jam that's slightly sweet but all the flavors are nicely combined. I've tried a few items from here. I really wanted to find an excellent bakery in Campbell and had high hopes for this. It just doesn't quite hit the spot for me however, I appreciate its presence in downtown Campbell. I like seeing how busy it is on weekends and I also enjoy walking past it and getting a delicious whiff of baked goods. I started off asking one of the employees what his favorites were and I realize that I should have just stuck with those. He recommended the lemon pistachio olive oil cake which is a pure delight. It's moist and crumbly and the flavors shine through. It keeps well for at least 3 days. I personally could do with less frosting, but that's personal taste. My favorite of the items I've tried. I next tried their ham and cheese croissant because I had one from Tartine recently that was mouthwatering good. This one was not as good. The ingredients could have been spread out a bit more and honestly just needed to be more tasty. The croissant itself though was very good but the entire sandwich was just not as good. I also tried the vegan chocolate banana cake. Too sweet for me, and too dry. I think I will stick to the employee's favorite next time - the lemon pistachio olive oil cake. read more
