Been a while so time for an update. Came here after dinner to get a sweet treat, and I was not disappointed. They honestly did such a great job revamping the place. Now when you go in, everything feels so cozy. The staff is also very friendly and always keen on giving you ice cream to sample. I got a small ice cream cookie sandwich with ginger molasses, which was very gingery and very flavorful. Decided to pair it with strawberry and cream ice cream from Marianne's in Santa Cruz. Came on a Friday (today) and it was empty when we arrived - ordered 2 milkshakes and this was the slowest service in the world.... overall, it wasn't a warm or welcoming feeling here. Once we FINALLY got our order, the lids on the milkshakes were the wrong size. Apparently these lids were the only size they had left which is fine but why not let us know? We accidentally spilled milkshake on ourselves and the ground because we assumed the lids were secure.... Pretty bad service. I don't recommend it here if you value a positive experience. Tried the Chocolate Chip with Sea Salt, Snickerdoddle, Chocolate Chip n Chunk, and the Cowboy. It's about $4 per cookie. Liked the Chocolate Chip n Chunk the most. Good quality chocolate with slight bittersweet flavor which complements the sweet cookie batter. The one with sea salt beings out the flavor of the cookie even more. The Cowboy was pretty chunky with both raisins, oatmeal and nuts. It's almost like carrot cake flavor minus the carrots with strong flavor of spices. The Snickerdoddle was ok. Could have used more cinnamon. It was more like a sugar cookie. I like that their cookies are the thick kind that's soft in the middle. Staff were really nice here. Did I come twice in a week... yup! I really liked their chocolate chip cookie with salt and you can get mini versions of most of their favorite cookies. Warm it up slightly for the best indulgence. I also got their Mint to Be Special, tasted liked Andes chocolate on a chocolate cookie-- loved this! I saw they had imperfect cookies about 250 minis or 6 large for $10. My husband and I stopped by Nox Cookie Bar and ordered two of their seasonal cookies. They were incredible. Warm, soft and gooey in the center with just the right amount of crisp around the edges. They were also perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The service was just as impressive. The person who helped us was so friendly and welcoming that it instantly made the visit feel even better. The space is cute, spacious, and filled with plenty of seating. Our first visit to this place and definitely coming back for more! It's cute, cozy and was beautifully decorated for Halloween. There was no crazy line at the time we went so service was super quick. Ordered: - BIG'wich: 3/5 - Big Double Chocolate Chip cookies topped with sea salt and Vanilla bean Icecream sandwiched between the two - I really loved this but I wish the cookie was a little warm so I could enjoy the Icecream melting between the cookies. The cookies were a little harder in texture I believe warming them up would fix the issue. - Rainbow Sherbet: 4/5 - I am not a big fan of it but my 4 year old loved it. Usually the people working there are super nice , but last night I had a 20 something year old girl with chunky blonde highlights throw a hissy fit at me when i reminded her that my order was to go (we said we wanted a cover when ordering) after she had scooped it and put a spoon in. This is review is way overdue! I was introduced to Nox by Too Good To Go and enjoyed their cookies. I've been here a few times since. I wish it was closer to me. I'd be tempted to have them weekly! What I love: 1) High quality cookies from ingredients to taste and texture. Nothing fancy, not too sweet, not overly decorated with icing and toppings. 2) Reasonably priced. Cookies are big, even their small (2" diameter). Large cookies are $3.25. Although prices have increased, the size hasn't shrunk. Their small is $12.50/dozen. 2) Service: Staff is always so nice! I always feel good our having from them. 3) Cookies are warm! They rarely make it home because they're so good right out of their oven. I highly recommend this establishment. They have lots of other products like vegan and gluten free cookies, cheesecake poppers, brownies, and ice cream, but I've never tried them. There's a seating area too. read more

Stopped by the other night for a few bigwiches with my friends after dinner and Casey hooked it up big time with a comically massive ice cream sandwich that I could barely close in my to-go container. Had to scoop out half of it out for later. A bigwich is a large ice cream sandwich made of two large cookies and several scoops of ice cream. A noxwich is the smaller version. Treat yoself and get the large. My bigwich was made of a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, a peanut butter cookie, and 1020 ice cream (caramel base, fudge swirls, crushed hard chocolate cookies). Some online research showed their ice cream is sourced locally from Marianne's down in Santa Cruz -- the 1020 is aptly named after their 1020 Ocean St address. Tasty ice cream high in butterfat that just screams cold, sweet indulgence. Fantastic spot for a late night snack. 5/5 would recommend over CREAM or Insomnia. I dropped in after grabbing some ramen nearby because my friend wanted dessert. I read that they had vegan options, so I decided to try it out. They had two options: snickerdoodle and chocolate. I LOVE cookies and it frustrates me to no end as a Mountain View resident that there are no late night places nearby to grab a delicious cookie for dessert. (If anybody even THINKS about mentioning Crumble to me, we are going to have problems...) I came across Nox when I went to the Summer Soiree event for Yelp. I was really impressed with their samples and chatted with the owner and learned that they are located in Campbell and that their namesake literally means night to allude to the fact that they are a late night shop. Although Campbell is not extremely close, I decided to give it a try one night when I was really craving a cookie. When I first arrived, I immediately noticed that most of their cookie flavors are extremely generic such as chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, etc. I have to say that I expected a cookie-focused shop to be a little more innovative with their types of cookies so I wasn't sure how I was going to like this place. I ended up ordering a couple of generic types such as chocolate chip, peanut butter, etc. Wow... these cookies were absolutely delicious and wolfed down all of them. I have to say that these were some of the best store-made cookies that I have had in a while. It is VERY unusual that I would give a perfect rating to a place that focuses on cookies yet doesn't serve any unique types. They're open fairly late for a south bay spot :') I will say the cookies here are definitely on the sweeter side. (I think that's why I like the small ones especially). Snickerdoodle is quite good here. It's not super overly cinnamon-y. The oatmeal raisin on the other hand tastes very strongly of nutmeg. I'm so so on this one. read more
