Came by to satisfy a sweet tooth! Also ordered a spontaneous cake. snickerdoodle cookie $3.99 cake slices $8.99 cupcake $5.25 strawberry cake 6 inch $59.99 $3 for inscriptions Staff is friendly, though, there are quite a bit of issues with some account syncing for whatever reason. Street parking. Limited parking in the back lot.

I wanted to try SusieCakes and compare them to my favorite chain cupcake place. Their decor is just.... Well... so nostalgic, I simply love it!! It's obvious to me that they spent a lot of time on the branding of the name and concept. 10 stars in my book. The server's were nice and also helpful. I ordered 2 lemon cupcakes and a slice of the lemon poppyseed cake with buttercream frosting on top. $19+ for said items. The server put them into 2 beautiful boxes and a very nice bag. "Price 3 stars, boxes 10 stars" SusieCakes does not take cash! "I'm personally not happy about that" I don't want to hear your excuses why you are doing that, I do not and never will like that. That alone is reason enough for me not to go back. I had a slice of the lemon poppyseed cake at room temp per instructions with a glass of milk. I felt like the buttercream tasted like every other buttercream, nothing special. The lemon filling in between the slices was also just ok but the combination of the lemon filling and buttercream made the slice of cake very, very sweet, did I say sweet? I mean way way way too sweet. (And I love sweet) it just ruined the flavor of the cake, as in I could not taste the cake at all. 2 stars The lemon cupcake was better than the lemon poppyseed cake, still very sweet but not like the lemon poppyseed "I could taste the cake a little better but the icing still overwhelmed the flavors of the cake. 3 stars

We ordered a vanilla celebration cake - their most popular one. It looks just like the picture on line! The retro blue buttercream frosting looked so cool! It was a bit to sweet for me, but everyone else really liked it. The actual cake itself had great flavor. I would like to try some of the other flavors.

IMHO Went to redeem my free birthday cake slice today! Left with a huge chocolate cake slice and 2 Large chocolate chip cookies. The cake slice couldn't have been more moist and delicious! Customer service, as always was excellent and efficient! Thank you, Damian!!!

Can't comment on ambiance or service as I have been ordering delivery DoorDash lately. But can vouch for the taste of their cakes for sure. My usuals are Old fashioned chocolate cake Marble cake Both are usually fantastic. I have also tried their cupcake combo of 4 those are great as well. This time around I tried the seasonal strawberry cake slice and didn't enjoy that at all. So had to take a star off for how far off that flavor felt like.

Stopped in for a TGTG bags after craving some of their delicious cake. * Spring/summer hours are possibly longer now & made short queue at 7:30ish, but staff got through it quickly * Bag price increased since early 2025 and portion sized was cut by more than half. 2025 orders tended to contain 1 slice of cake, some variety of 3-4 cupcakes, & a large cookies. * March 2026 order contained 1 box of 4 cupcakes only - tasty but not as great as I''d remembered it Maybe the bakery decided to cut portions & release more bags instead? TGTG bag is still a fair value compared to menu prices, but I don't think we'll try SusieCakes again.

SusieCakes is a tiny, cute shop in downtown Willow Glen. I like it from time to time, but my family found too sweet for their taste. The cake is dense yet still fluffy and does not skimp on the buttercream. If you are new to SusieCakes, I would start with the Celebration Vanilla Cake since it is their most popular flavor. I gravitate toward their seasonal cakes. The Cranberry Orange was just okay to me, but I really enjoyed the Summer Berry cake. The chocolate cake may be good for chocolate lovers, but it was not for me. The staff are nice, happy to help, and love the quick service. I'd come back if I was craving something very sweet, though it would not be my first on my list if I wanted cakes.

Service is ALWAYS AWESOME at this location. Ashley was super sweet, welcoming, and patient on explaining the reward program to me. I picked up a slice of the Banana Chocolate Chip Cake: baked with ripe bananas and semi-sweet chocolate chips, filled and frosted with cream cheese frosting. I am excited to try this new flavor (for me)! Thank you again Ashley!

SusieCakes in downtown Willow Glen is such a cute little dessert stop. There's public street or lot parking nearby, and while indoor seating is limited, the shop itself is charming and inviting. They have tons of options from cupcakes and cookies to cake slices. I originally went in for a cupcake, but the whoopie pie started calling my name. The cookies were chewy, and the cream filling wasn't overly sweet, which I really liked. Definitely a yummy dessert and very satisfying. The only downside is the price. Almost $8 for a whoopie pie feels a bit steep, but the quality is there. I'd absolutely come back, especially to try their cakes next time.

Stopped by after dinner to try the limited-time See's Candy Scotchmallow collaboration. Ordered the four-pack -- a chocolate cupcake topped with salted buttercream and half a piece of Scotchmallow. The cupcake was moist with a tender crumb, and the buttercream was delicious with just the right amount of salt. We also tried a red velvet cupcake and a German chocolate cupcake -- both were very good. SusieCakes continues to deliver when it comes to cakes and cupcakes. The whoopie pies are huge, and their flavor selection is always impressive. Service was good, the location is well lit, and the display case was fully stocked. Parking can feel a bit far from the front, but there is a lot behind the building, even at night. The area itself is lively and active. Definitely a go-to for cupcakes and cakes.

We placed an order through DoorDash to celebrate a coworker's birthday and chose the carrot cake. It arrived fresh, moist, and absolutely delicious. You really can't go wrong with SusieCakes! We'll definitely be back to try a different flavor next time.

It's just so convenient for me cause I live in Willow Glen. They always taste great, but they always just seem a little bit small. I think I'm just spoiled by nothing Bundt cake, Whole Foods cupcakes, and other brands. But they do taste really good and they always look very pretty. It works out really well when you get lucky and score a Parking spot behind them. Pretty sure I ordered six today and only got five. I need to double check my receipt to see what they charged me. I'm sure they'll make Make good on it if I really did pay for six and only got five. They're reliably good and reliably have lots of inventory so to speak. So it's just super convenient. Their cookies are really yummy too.

Cake decorator.... Hope it's ok I snuck in a picture!

Ordered a cake for my aunt's birthday. Pros- the cake came out just as I imagined in my head! It was also very tasty- both tiers (one lemon, one chocolate)! Cons (w/a pro!) - cake wasn't ready at requested pick up time, but their customer service was really good... pick up time was 11am... I arrived just as they opened the door. The cake was still being decorated, so while we waited they offered to give us cupcakes and we declined (too early for sweets, plus we were going to eat the birthday cake right after lunch!) Turns out they added 4 cupcakes to our bag/box of cookies we bought. I thought that was really nice. I had no idea they did that until much later in the day!

We used to shop and order our cakes from Dick's bakery, up until they burnt down. We loved their famous burnt almond cake. When I heard that Peter's makes an excellent burnt almond cake, as well, I knew that's where I wanted my birthday cake to come from. When I opened the door, to enter the bakery, a fresh smell of baked goods and sweets hit me in the best possible way. It smelled like fresh maple glazed donuts. I love that smell. We were warmly greeted by the staff. It wasn't busy at all, so we took our time looking for other sweets to purchase. They found our pre-ordered cake and they did a wonderful job decorating with a cute pumpkin on the top. We also chose an apricot danish, a maple bar and a raisin snail. The prices were very affordable and reasonable here. I really loved how all the pastries and cakes. were displayed in their cases. Everything looked amazing. They even sell fresh loaves of bread and rolls. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were immediately helped with a smile. I love the old fashioned vibe in here. Both pastry and cake boxes were tired up with sting, to properly secure our box. We paid for our goods and hurried home to try a few of them. The maple doughnut was good. I loved the icing better than the doughnut itself. The apricot danish was delicious and so soft. The apricots on the top were not overly sweet, which I prefer. The pumpkin burnt almond cake was so good. The cake was so soft and light with a wonderful pumpkin flavor that reminds me of fall. The frosting and custard filling paired perfectly with the pumpkin cake. The caramelized almonds covered the entire outer cake and offered a nice flavorful crunch. The whole thing works perfectly. I didn't even know you could get the burnt almond cake in pumpkin. A huge thank you to my friend John D. for letting me know about this limited time fall flavor. We will definitely be back for more soon.

Ham & Brie Toast with Seasonal Fruit (Apricot) -- 8/10 I'm not usually a big toast person, but this was really good! Loved the balance of textures and flavors, especially with the apricot. Overall, such a great spot with a really fun menu. Bummed we don't have a place like this in SoCal!

Most of the table seems to be filled, luckily there was a few open seating left. The menu is straightforward and simple. We ordered the Breakfast Sando and the Longanisa Sando. Let me tell you everything came out fresh and delicious. The sandwiches were still warm and the bread was so soft and fluffy. We were able to enjoy our sandwiches, relaxed, and not felt rushed. Love this place of establishment. If you are ever in the area do stop by and try this place out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

When I placed the order, I mentioned that my daughter absolutely loves cats and said it would be wonderful if they happened to have any cat-themed decorations, although the bakery didn't promise that they would. They were very thoughtful and patient in communicating all the details with me. When I picked up the cake, I was genuinely amazed--it was even cuter than I had imagined! And sure enough, my daughter was SO happy to have a delicious kitty cake for her birthday. Seeing how excited she was made the cake even more special. You can really feel how much care and love they put into what they do. We had such a wonderful experience and highly recommend this bakery!

Vanilla donut (3/5): Donut was soft but the vanilla pudding filling tasted a bit artificial Mushroom and burdock bun (3/5): Bun was dense and cold and I think it would taste better warmed up. The filling itself could have been seasoned more, there was a lot of the sesame flavor which made the bun taste bitter Fried chow mein bun (3.5/5): Similar to the mushroom bun but with a fried exterior. I liked the concept but wished it was warmed up. The chow mein itself could have been more flavorful Ham & veggie sandwich (5/5): Friend ordered this and said this was her favorite item! Bread was soft and good amount of condiments and vegetables that were well seasoned. She said this was good value Spicy tuna sandwich (4/5): Friend ordered this and she liked it but it was a bit too spicy for her liking Strawberry cream sandwich (3/5): This item is exactly what you imagine it would taste like, nothing too special. The bread was soft and there was a generous amount of cream but compared to the other items, this was just average Overall, the baked goods were average but my friend really enjoyed her sandwiches. Would give Clover a 3.5 as a vegetarian, rounding up to 4 since I would come back to try other items.
