Berry Berry and Black Sesame Cake
Ellie S.

One of the best cakes I've tried. The flavor (berry berry & black sesame) is rich, cake is soft & moist with the perfect amount of sweetness!

It's my second time trying Izumi Cakes. First time my friends got the matcha cake for me and the second time my family and I got the mango cake. Both flavors were very clean and "not too sweet" (4/5 stars)! They have a few different cake flavors as well as cake sizes to choose from. Staff were pretty friendly. There's a few seating areas inside, not much of decor as they seem to be focused mainly on pre-ordered cakes to go.

It was a bit slanted but the flavor was great and I just love the size. It's unfortunately banned from my house though because it's too expensive for what you get. Service is quick as I ordered on the website and there's no ambiance because it's in T4. Design and marketing is cute, take a a grain of salt as this was two years back

Came here to pick up a cake for my cousin's birthday. I thought the cake was a little small but it turned out perfect for the occasion. Their 4" is perfect for 4-5 ppl to share. The cake itself is very light and not super sweet! Very delicate flavors all around! I would definitely come back to try more flavors.

Izumi Cakes have been on my list for a while now and my husband needed a birthday cake so I ordered his online a few days before pick up. They're located in a plaza so parking is abundant and free. The pick up process was easy - they ask for the name for the order and prepare the final touches on the cake before they hand it to you. I appreciated the free candle that came with it. The cake itself wasn't overly sweet and looked nice on the eyes. Overall, I'd get them again if I had another occasion that called for a cake.

This is my place to get cake for birthdays! My favorite is the matcha but the berry is close 2nd.

I got literally the last available cake at 6 pm on a Saturday. Their matcha has a strong matcha taste and is not too sweet.

Earl Grey and mango

The cake is decorated really cute... 4" is pretty small. I originally found this place and thinking if I should get my son a smash cake from here but we opted on a different more baby friendly cake. I did end up coming another time, didn't pre order so was grateful they had a few available when I called in when they opened. By the time I went to go pick up only an hour after opening they were already sold out. If you don't preorder flavors are limited, we got the earl grey and the mango. The earl grey was tasty. The floral tea flavor was prominent in the cake, not too sweet and very airy. The mango was kind of whatever. I think the flavoring was just in the decoration/cream which a lot of asians don't normally always eat. Otherwise it was just a plain white chiffon cake, just as airry, but lacked flavor. It is pricey for what it is... at 4' so maybe the size of your hand the cakes go for about $25 Also I was surprised the inside is still all the t4 decor, as in the branding too and my credit card charge said t4 (so don't be confused when you see your charge)

Izumi Cakes is a hidden gem--literally! It's tucked inside a T4 boba shop, which can be a little confusing at first, but once you find it, you're in for a treat. They specialize in small, Asian-inspired cakes (perfect for 4-5 people), and we ordered the strawberry shortcake for a birthday. It was so good--light, fresh, not overly sweet (which I love), and beautifully decorated with a minimalist bunny design. They even added a cute chocolate "Happy Birthday" macaron, which was a thoughtful touch. Ordering was easy and last-minute-friendly--we placed it just a couple days in advance with no issue. Overall, a lovely little spot for elegant, not-too-sweet cakes. Will definitely be back for future celebrations!

If you're been thinking about ordering a cake from here... just do it! Izumi Cakes has been on my list for quite some time, but I'm always so hesitant as I'm worried I'll be disappointed. Well, I'm glad I finally did as the cake I ordered was absolutely incredible. I'm definitely a "less sweet" kinda person and I also like my tea strong - I tend to drink matcha or hojicha lattes with no sweetness. The Kyoto Matcha Light cake was out of this world. The cake itself is so incredibly tender and the cream ever so lightly sweet - just enough to complement the natural bitterness from the strong matcha flavor. I was blown away at the strong matcha flavor too. It wasn't like a cake with some matcha flavor... it was like eating a matcha latte in cake form! SO GOOD! Ordering was a breeze online. I picked up my first cake order today... and already placed another one! I will admit that the cakes here are quite pricey. However, the quality of the ingredients is reflected in the price and it's worth it to me.

Very standard Paris Baguette, but nothing outwardly bad or alarming as mentioned in other reviews…read more I arrived about 30 minutes before closing time and was pleasantly surprised that they still had a decent cake selection. I ordered the mango coconut cake slice. It was perfectly sweet and there was just the right amount of moisture in the frosting to share with the cake itself. The fruit weren't mushy, as some display cakes can have mushy fruit, and they were a bit tart so it really gave the cake a nice refreshing bite. I was hoping to eat inside the cafe but the chairs and tables were already up and cleaned, which is fairly reasonable for 30 minutes before closing.

There were some cakes and only one blueberry (chiffon) cake at the moment. After confirming that's all they had, I said, "can I have the blueberry one?" The clerk said: "The yogurt or chiffon?" I was surprised, asking "is there a blueberry yogurt cake?" Then something unexpected happened: the clerk just ROLLED HER EYES AT ME before she realized there was only a chiffon cake. I was quite shocked, telling her "because that's the only one I saw". I still don't understand how my question offended the clerk.

I got the 4 inch bento cake with vanilla cake and chocolate frosting. I sent her a reference photo of what I wanted the cake to look like, and it came out just as I wanted! (if not better!!!) The frosting on the exterior of the cake was SO GOOD. Tasted very buttery and not too sweet. It was really addicting and the two of us finished the cake easily in one sitting. I also got a set of 5 Pure Milk Macarons, which were chewy and the filling was so creamy and chilled! Very much tasted like ice cream in the center. Overall, not too sweet and very delicious! It's super cozy but still feels modern, definitely somewhere you can hang out for a while. I do want to note, on some tables, you cannot have a lap top all day on the weekends and after 4PM on weekdays (probably prevents people from staying for hours on end on busier days). I got the iced Qamaria latte (extra sweet) and my cousin got an iced caramel macchiato, and both were really good! Mine was smooth and very fragrant (cardamom notes mostly), which I appreciated, and the macchiato had a nice balance too. Both 5/5 We also tried the rose milk cake. It had a really light rose flavor and wasn't overly sweet, which made it easy to finish (we almost wanted another one).
