I do feel for them because they have apparently been the victim of quite a few burglaries, which is just awful and says nothing about the place itself since the vibe inside is warm and well put together. The Turkish coffee is unique and definitely worth trying if that's your thing. It isn't exactly my personal go to style of coffee, but that's purely a taste preference and not a knock on quality or execution. If you're specifically seeking out Turkish coffee in the East Bay, this is the spot to check out.

However, the taste was a little disappointing. I do like a fluffly, textured donut, however, these are served cold and very sweet. It's just a different donut than the ones I prefer. They had a wide selection of flavors, even on late morning of a weekend. We tried the tiramisu (2/5) donut and the biscoff cream donut (3/5). But both were too sweet for my taste. I can't say that I'd be back, but if you're looking for something unique, I think you'd enjoy this little shop. They also sell croissants, more savory treats, and coffee!

I ordered the 4" Berry Berry Light Cake for a birthday, and they were able to write a birthday message on the cake board, which I really appreciated. The cake also tasted very light and the sweetness was subtle, which I really enjoyed. The berry flavor in the sponge was a little too subtle, though. My main concern is that the cake does not fully resemble the picture they advertised online. It is missing the freeze-dried berries on top, and the berry glaze did not reach as far down the cake as was shown in the photo. Because the berry glaze is the main source of the berry flavor, this was a little disappointing. Also, the cake was not finished when I came to pick up the cake (and I was ~5 minutes late). I'm uncertain if this is for freshness or if there is another reason. Overall, I like the spot for the fresh and light cake. It's pleasantly unique compared to your standard sheet cake, and everything is rather cute. However, it may be a better idea to buy the cakes in-person to be 100% sure of what it will look like, though daily stock is definitely more limited than if you place an order online. I hope they reopen their indoor seating soon.

what can i say.... this person was great over the phone... she had a cake ready for me to taste when i got there.. unfortunately, i had dental work that day, and so she let me take it home and have it later.. it was absolutely fabulous.. i ordered my dad's cake with a tahoesque/gambling theme.. it came out better than i could have imagined.. not only that.. but when we were doing our consultation, i told her it was also my birthday... when i got to my dad's surprise party, my cousin was like.. hey, there is a cake for you in the kitchen.. i was like really... why?? This amazing person, made me my own special cake AND... a huge box of milk chocolate and white chocolate covered strawberries.. everyone was like, did you order strawberries.. they are so good.. great idea.. and i was like.. no, i didn't order them... i was so impressed that I have a few more parties coming up, and she will definitely be the person i call back!!!! read more

Laurel is awesome, she made the most delicious and beautiful wedding cake for my September wedding!! My 3 Tier cascading flower wedding cake came out so beautiful I cried. She added a Celtic design that was important to me (Trinity Knot) and tied my cake colors into a painting my husband gave me for our wedding. The wedding came out with a beautiful flow in design and taste that I attribute to Laurels talent and professionalism. I was not an easy client, yet Laurel calmly guided my scattered wishes into a gorgeous wedding party that my guest are still talking about at Christmas. Thank you Laurel - your the BEST!!! read more

OMG.....She is a Blessed women Laurel is professional & passionate about her cakes. My husband & I drove 48 miles just to order our wedding cupcakes. I was so surprised when she made homemade lemon filling with whipped icying to taste. She set up a beautiful presentation of cupcakes in 3 differenet sizes which were decorated with our theme & colors. I can't wait until our wedding renewal next year! My fiance and and I had an appointment with Laurel for cake tasting, She was very attentive to our needs, what we wanted on our wedding cake, and suggestions. She was very professional, well organized, prompt, humble and was not pushy with making us feel like he had to go with her. The cake that she specially made for us to taste was very moist, the flavors were delicious(chocolate, vanilla, and whipped strawberry). The non- dairy whipped cream was awesome!!!! Union City Police Department, is definitely a repeat customer! We have enjoyed many different styles of delicious treats, for numerous events hosted by the PD. At each event, we receive multiple comments about how moist the cakes and cupcakes are and how the frostings are always a great blend of light whip and sweetness. It's sad to see so many small businesses close down due to our politicians's lack of ability to put people before politics. I reached out to Khushboo after seeing her post on Facebook on Tuesday, November 17th, via messenger and she responded very quickly. The item that caught my attention were her cute hot chocolate bombs so I asked to pick some up from her on Thursday, November 19th, in time for my nieces to spend the weekend with us. My 4-year old daughter loves all things chocolate and I don't mind enjoying a cup of hot chocolate every now and then so I decided to order a 4-pack for us to try. I got the "unicorn" for my daughter since she really likes unicorn. Sadly, my daughter prefers milk chocolate over white chocolate so I ended up having to help her finish it. It was a little too much milk for my liking, but I liked the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. I got the "Tea Me Up" for myself since I do enjoy a nice cup of chai latte & it was perfect for the cold weather. Although, I must warn you that it is a little bit spicy. I got the "Chocolala" for my 11-year old niece because she likes all her food/drink to be as plain and simple as possible and this fit her taste perfectly. I got the "Guess Who's Salty" for my 15-year old niece because she loves salted caramel flavor desserts. Sadly, I received a text from her dad that she ended up in the ER for juvenile diabetes type 1--so, she never got to try it & I decided to give it to my 11-year old niece instead. The chocolate bombs are super cute and such a fun idea. They would definitely make a great stocking stuffer. Although, they're a little pricey for everyday consumption so I wouldn't recommend drinking one daily. I asked to have tiny vegan marshmallows added for $0.50/each. Very nice touch! The cream cheese frosting was perfectly sweetened with just the right amount of tang. She helped me color match the fresh burgundy flowers to the bride's bouquet and to the wedding colors. I am in awe. She delivered it perfectly on time. She was so sweet and positive. She made this component of the wedding day as smooth and lovely as possible. I could not recommend highly enough!

I first meet Nicolen at a bridal fair and I thought she was sweet and her cake pops were amazing. I…read moream all about supporting local businesses however, she REALLY let me down. I first contacted Nicolen over a month prior to my good friends baby shower. The cake I ordered was the center of the dessert table and I was excited when I found the perfect Starwars cake. Nicolen agreed she could make the cake. To make it easier I said just characters heads and to make it blue instead of pink since it was for a boy. Lastly, I paid extra for the R2D2 head. I knew something was wrong when I had to to touch-base and remind her about the cake. Nicolen reassured me that the cake would be ready and asked if she could drop it off early the day of the party. My friend who was pregnant at the time was up early to receive the cake which never came that morning. Because the party had already started I got nervous about the cake. Nicolen's lack of communication and delay of the cake was not that way I pictured her customer service to be. The cake arrived late and delivered by her sister who would not even look at me. When the cake arrived I couldn't believe it! I paid over $100 for this? The cake came lope sided and about to fall over. The characters I requested to be made out of fondant were PRINTED! YES PRINTED out of white computer paper and placed on the cake!!! Nicolen later texted me she was busy with Mother's Day orders. If you were busy please be transparent to your customers. I could of easily cancelled and took my business else where. This was my friends FIRST baby shower and I wanted a beautiful cake. I was embarrassed because I was bragging about how amazing this cake was going to be.. instead what was delivered was the joke of a life time! After the party, I have tried to reach out to Nicolen by text, email and even Instagram to try to understand what happened. Nicolen has ignored everyone of my messages and has never responded to me. No sorry or chance to redeem herself and business.
