This bakery makes amazing cakes, ordered through online and the response reply was super fast. They have excellent communication and I was able to order a cake with only a week notice. Ordered 1/3 sheet chocolate strawberry cake and the cake has a great texture not heavy was nice and fluffy, and the whip cream was light and not over sweet. Super delicious, strawberries were nice and fresh. Little small inside, but it's okay because it's only for pick up. Love the new location, it is not too busy in that area and has plenty of parking. Highly recommend this place!

Amia Bakery has been my go-to spot ever since I moved to the East Bay six years ago. For the past few years, I've ordered custom cakes for my son's birthday from them, and they never disappoint! His birthday falls close to Thanksgiving, and while many bakeries have turned down custom orders that week, Amia always comes through. Their communication is prompt, and the ordering and pickup process is always smooth and hassle-free. The cakes often look just like the reference images I send, and the flavors are consistently delicious. The guava mousse is a household favorite, but we've also loved the passion fruit, marble, and even the sugar-free berries and cream; all have been fantastic. What I appreciate most is that they're happy to accommodate dietary restrictions without compromising on taste or quality. Highly recommend!

Had heard a lot about this bakery. Particularly they cater to dietary restrictions without compromising on taste and are popular for custom cakes. I ordered mango mousse cake (Vegan) for my friend's birthday, which she enjoyed. This is one of the popular options. I also tried some other (no dietary restriction) cakes: chocolate and strawberry icecream cake! Both so so good! Their service is great: you can do online order seamlessly. You can also purchase a cake last minute, if they have available. When I went to pick up my cake order, I got some samples of their guava and mango mousse, which I devoured :) I found the staff so sweet and kind honestly. In terms of ambience, I think its more of order to-go and not sit and eat kind of bakery (just something to note for future visits). There is ample parking available.

    Cup cake for school

I purchased a plain vanilla cupcake without eggs and nutfree for my daughter's school birthday celebration without any additional decorations. I decided to add some decorations at home to customize it. This was my first time ordering from Amica Bakery, and although the cake looked visually stunning, I was let down as I found there was an excessive amount of whipped cream on top, which did not have much flavor. Even the cake itself lacked taste, leaving me quite disappointed with my initial experience. I am willing to give it another try in the future but not soon.

Nice people but super overpriced. I ordered a sugar free tiramisu for my friend who is diabetic. The cake costs $64, looked terrible and tasted really bad, not to mention my friend's blood sugar sky rocketed after eating it...

Amia has been my go-to bakery for years. I love that they make eggless and vegan cakes since many of my friends have restrictions, and they taste good too. They have a great variety of flavors but I think my favorite has been the mango mousse. Their custom cakes always exceed my expectations for design. Included a few of them in the photos. Party guests are always impressed. I love working with Amia because they make the process so simple. They communicate over email, and they have accommodated all the ridiculous requests I've made such as creating a package for a cupcake decorating party and a long train cake composed of mini cakes. Don't let the store front turn you away. This is not a Paris Baguette, though they do have premade pastries available for purchase without preordering. It's pretty neat actually watching them roll out fondant. If you are looking for a fancy custom cake with yummy flavors, or need cupcakes, highly recommend Amia.

Amia bakery was easy to work with for our daughters first birthday. I sent them some inspiration photos, and I didn't know what to expect, but man they nailed it. When we busted out the cake, everyone started taking photos of the cake alone and commenting on how beautiful they were or that they knew who to go to if they got married again! But seriously, they did an amazing job. I had to show people my wedding cake (same inspiration photo) and it was comical how much better Amia's was Flavor wise -- We ordered the guava and the red velvet, and they were a hit! Moist and the butter cream

Amia Bakery has become the yearly tradition. Custom ordered two sets of cake and cupcakes and both were a hit. They made the custom order to perfection and the taste was soo good ! The guava cream cake was soo moist all the guests loved it. Thanks Amia Bakery!

    Farm themed cake

We were absolutely thrilled with the cake! It turned out exactly as per the design we shared, every detail was beautifully done and spot on. The flavors were incredible: the top tier was mango buttercream which was light, fruity, and refreshing, and the bottom tier was German chocolate was rich and indulgent. Everyone at the party loved it and couldn't stop talking about how good it tasted. It was the perfect centerpiece for our celebration. Thank you for bringing our vision to life so beautifully and deliciously! I extremely appreciate their patience and back and forth via emails to get all details right especially to meet my budget.

We ordered two cakes from Amia Bakery -- one Raspberry Chocolate and the other Coconut Pineapple -- and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfect, and the cakes looked incredibly artistic. I had designed the cakes using AI, and Amia Bakery recreated them exactly as envisioned. Kudos to their creativity and attention to detail. As a bonus, both cakes were completely vegan, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend Amia Bakery!

The folks over at Amia are wonderful to work with and very detailed! We contacted them about creating this custom cake design for our daughter's birthday and provided a sample image and it turned out better than we imagined it would. The cake itself was really moist and not too sweet and had strawberry and mango in there. The fruit was fresh and tasted just as good on their own so in the cake, the combination was really wonderful. We did need to put the order in a month ahead of time but they can work with you if you don't have as much time. They also offer cake samples for $2.50 a piece so you can try it out ahead of time. The cake itself was $105 and for as tall as this cake was, it is really worth the value! We will definitely be ordering more cakes from Amia and would recommend them to others as well!

Do they sell cake by the slice?

Yup! They have select slices of their most popular flavors available when you visit in person. Don't think you can order only slices.

Do u guys make small cakes like for 15 people?

Yes they do! You should call ahead if you want a certain flavor as they do sell out. They also have individual sized desserts too.

Is there an alternate contact number?

I think there is only one phone number 510 793 8808 for this bakery or you can try email them

Can i order now and deliver it tonight?

    Doubt that.

Now for the options, they all sounded good and were hard to choose from! I like that they have specials of the month, seasonal, and mainstays. I choose one of monthly specials coconut pudding, and mainstay french silk. I also ordered the cheese burger hand pie for my husband, which he loved! The coconut pudding pie was sooo good, loved the texture and flavor, they had toasted coconut on the side to add on top. The fresh silk pie was my favorite! It was not overly chocolatey and had a nice mousse texture, there was an under layer of crisp ganache that made all the flavors and textures pop! The crust is nice and buttery and flakey. These were not heavy pies, just creamy light melt in your mouth. They also have frozen pies so you can take and bake yourself. This definitely satisfied my sweet tooth, and will be back this time to order a whole pie!

Some of my favorites over time have been the chocolate chess, cheeseburger, and berry custard pies. All very different, but all really good in their own way. Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for pie!! There are honestly not a lot of places around that you can get crafted pies from, so I think they fill a niche market here - a market that I am certainly a part of.

When you walk in, youre greeted with a huge display case of their beautiful donuts! I came in for the first time the other day and I was greeted with a warm welcome upon walking inside. I got the black sesame, churro, matcha hazelnut, chocolate hazelnut, melona and the blueberry cream filled. Let me tell you these donuts are perfect if you dont like anything too sweet. My mom who usually splits one donut over the span of 3-4 days to finish, ate her entire blueberry donut in one sitting without even sharing. They do recommend that you enjoy them asap or to place them in an airtight container so they don't dry out. I did not do so, so my donut dried out (eating a dry but delicious day old donut as i write this). All in all my experience was amazing and I will definitely be coming back to try that guava donut if its there!!! I also recommend checking out and exploring their website. I struggled with this…read morerating because it is a small family-run business, but I also didn't think it was fair to rate them 5 stars based on the quality and how things transpired. I read such amazing reviews about Minia's and was really optimistic about the cakes, especially since they offered more novelty flavors such as guava, mango, and ube that most bakeries don't have. I reached out to order a sample box and was told they provide 6 different flavors for $25, but they offer the cake samples in the form of cupcakes. Setting up the order was fairly easy and they were communicative via email. They also accommodated my request to swap out one flavor for another. When I first received the box, I was astounded by how big the samples were. For $25, I thought it was such a steal. I've been to a few tastings now and they range from a completely free tasting to $50 on the higher end, so I felt like Minia's pricing was pretty fair. To be clear, I don't have an issue paying a fee to sample an assortment of cakes. I understand that putting together these samples take time and money from the business, and free tastings are probably a thing of the past since people seem to take advantage of companies....but I do have an issue paying for cakes that are unpalatable and not worth my calories. It went all downhill after this. Of the 6 samples I received, all of them were dry and some the flavors were not very pronounced. Even my father, who is not a cake connoisseur by any means and doesn't really have a good palate noted that the cakes were dry. We took a couple bites, but ultimately trashed the box and we rendered the cakes inedible (technically, you could still eat them, but it would not be enjoyable). I reached out to Minia's with my comments and was offered a 50% refund and was also told that they've received feedback that the cupcakes can dry. I was taken aback by that comment because in my mind, if you know that the cakes you're providing as samples are a first impression of your business and that there is a known issue with the dryness, wouldn't you remedy that and give out samples that are more reflective of your quality? I was concerned that if I had gone through with this, the actual cake would be terrible and I would be wasting my money. I did ask for a full refund after they only offered half back, and they complied moments after by just sending a receipt with the updated invoice and no further comments.
