    Hazelnut crunch cake $11
    Scott F.

3/5: The hazelnut crunch cake looks great but is not as good as it looks. I don't get chocolate flavor complexity. It's like they used a generic mild chocolate flavor. hazelnut layer is also too tame. It's the type of cake where it seems like there are a lot of empty calories.

Another great tasting session here at Flower Flour. Have been here a few times before and knew I had to stop in and see whet my EYES would make me want to get. All the pastries, cakes, cookies, and drinks are really good. Had to have the carrot cake as always and also had a chocolate raspberry cake for here and yes I shared. Also needed a couple of items to go. Well maybe I Didn't need it however my eyes said yes you need to get some to go, lol. If you're having a special event, the cakes here are amazing. They have a variety of cakes for weddings, birthday celebrations, and themed cakes to make your event special and unforgettable.

Love after Dark cake and Ravishing Raspberry cake

Super yummy, ordered the Love after dark cake, the Ravishing Raspberry and the lemon bar. The lemon bar and the love after dark are my absolute favorite. So rich and flavorful. I ordered them for my coworkers going away present. 10/10 experience and packaging was great in transport!

I like the ambiance with nice little table and comfortable chairs. At 8 pm, I saw many people were in the stores and lots of cake selections in the display so I gave it a try. The cake looks yummy! But it tastes a little dry to me. I don't taste much flavors. The chocolate one is especially plain. I don't taste much cocoa flavor even though it's chocolate flavor. Maybe it was because late in the day and maybe the selections we picked didn't represent the store. Many people visited the store though. Maybe we would pick different items to try next time.

I've been wanting to swing by Flower Flour and I finally did today. I got a lemon bar. It was pretty tasty. For the price ~$6/7, the value was pretty good for the money. I think for a lemon bar it was tasty, but could've used more lemon flavor and/or sourness. I definitely couldn't finish it in one sitting so for me it'll last for another day! The service was great. I peeked at the other items and they are also pretty pricey as well in my opinion. The little cakes were around $10/11 each. Overall, I'd probably come back for a little beverage and sit out in their chairs.

Cute bakery with cute pastries. A little on the pricey side. Almond slice is covered in a thick layer of marzipan that made it a little hard to eat. The chocolate cake was very decadent, super rich. Service was pleasant.

Cute bakery in the Pruneyard shopping center. They have pretty desserts and taste great. I haven't had anything I didn't like so far. Their chocolate desserts are my personal favorite. I'll come back to try more seasonal items soon.

I've been here before but only Yelping now! The hyper-realistic cakes are insane! A baker was kneading dough, though I don't know for what. I only know it must definitely be something yummy. Ordered: Chocolate chip cookie 10/10. It was similar to a cake in texture & had plenty of chocolate chips. Guava mousse cake 10/10. Light & fluffy cake texture. Guava mousse flavor was perfect. Service was warm & there was seating inside, although not room for many people.

This is a very small bakery at the Pruneyard. It's in a good location with lots of parking. I didn't feel like anything was very special and it was expensive. My tiny dessert and brewed coffee was over $10 and the coffee wasn't good. The whole cake is $75 before tax and didn't seem that special just usual flavors. I could go to Lunardi's and get the same cake for 1/3 of the price.

    Guava mouse
    Jasmin M.

The guava mouse cake filling was pretty good. The ratio to cake and filling was just quite not there for me. The sponge was very light and crumbly. It fell apart easily when scooping. I wish there was more filling. The slice of banana cake is very hefty though.

    Chocolate croissant

This is it - my final review. I've been coming to FF for 20 years and due the quality of their croissants, but I'm done after yet another radical change. The bread and chocolate have gone downhill. Chocolate is in one thick brick and tastes like eating mud, bread is dense and chewy, there's zero butter, and experience is boring. I don't understand why management continues to change such a unique and delicious croissant into one that looks and tastes like every other mediocre croissant out there. What are they thinking?? Flower Flour no longer stands out, which is incredibly disappointing. It's probably for the best since my kid is going to college now, who I have been taking here her whole life. Plus still bummed Ofel doesn't work here anymore. Bye!

    Chocolate Chip Cookie
    Trini S.

Cookies are cold and hard. Tiramisu is not soaked in espresso and dry- I'd call it a cupcake more than anything. Not pictured - lemon bar!!! While I was pretty disappointed with the cookie and tiramisu, the lemon bar saved the day! So delicious. Highly recommend that and only that. We also ordered a hot chai and I think my husband got a cold mocha or coffee drink and we both were sad that the drinks were even bad. It's so cute here and were hopeful to have a local bakery we could frequent, but this is not it /:

    7/7/24 FYI, Blueberry scones
    Lee D.

Quality/Quantity - Having dinner from Cam Hung at Out of the Barrel and now dessert from Flower Flour. Blueberry Scones - My choice, and I will save half for my breakfast tomorrow. Hazelnut Crunch - My wife's choice. I did not care for it, but then it might just be personal preference. Then my wife told me it was only a 3 star dessert also. Atmosphere - Beautiful clean local business. Indoor and outdoor seating. Open 7 days a week from 7:30am to 8pm or 9pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good. Price - $15, expensive for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2005 and with your soon to be 3 locations.

Delicious cakes, especially the raspberry chocolate one. OMG!!

Cake is ok. I got the Guava cake and it's fine, not too sweet. It's a bit pricey for a simple cake.

There's a number of tables outside for you to enjoy your ice cream. We got the Dole whip and black raspberry. The Dole whip tastes like the real thing! Really refreshing and enriched with pineapple flavor, super airy, light, and easy to go down. And the height of the swirl is perfect. The black raspberry is tangy, making the ice cream less sweet than usual, which I enjoyed. It was creamy and rich, good contrast to the airiness of the Dole whip. Will 100% be back!

Anyway I finally stopped in. Outside they have a hand written a sign with a list of 36 different flavors of which I sampled 2 (the Mango & strawberry cheesecake) the mango honestly did not taste like mango at all so I ended up getting the strawberry cheesecake and cookie dough. The ice cream is definitely a good quality as it is very creamy and dense, i'm talking gelato dense. Unfortunately the strawberry cheesecake had a "been in the freezer to long taste" maybe not too many people order it but still it's not an experience you want in your mouth when you are paying a premium price for a scoop of ice cream. The cookie dough was good and had a lot of chunks of cookie dough. The service is good but not what I would call outstanding "like someone is glad to see you, if you get my drift" the inside looks a bit outdated and could use a freshening up. Honestly overall experience for me kind of laid flat 2.5 max, aka mediocre.

I went to pick up some truffles as a gift and after reading how delicious they sounded, like a kahlua and orange truffle, I walked away with some for myself as well. So far I've only tried one, but it was so delightful! Rich, creamy, and full of delicious chocolate and orange flavor. I will be heading back soon to get some more and potentially more as gifts as well. We received great customer service from the girl working, she was patient and willing to answer all of our questions about the truffles. They also have gelato, which I have been wanting to go get for a long time. Sadly they close at 5, so I haven't been able to get it just yet...but soon I will make it happen.

They did not understand at all, and I unfortunately had to ultimately give up and leave as it was just not working out. Chocolate places that put cocoa butter and/or sunflower/soy lecithin are cheating BIG TIME. If your cacao beans are good enough, you do NOT need any of that hot garbage in your chocolate. This place puts cocoa butter at the minimum, I wasn't able to figure out if there were any emulsifiers like lecithin. All I saw were some glitzy decorated truffles that did not match what I was looking for obviously. Could not recommend this place at all to other Yelpers -- there are so many better fair-trade craft chocolate places in the Bay Area.
