We tried the banana and raspberry mousse cakes. Since these are called mousse cakes, I was honestly expecting them to be much more mousse-heavy. I usually love banana-flavored desserts, but the banana one wasn't for me at all. It had cake mixed in with the mousse, and it kind of felt like eating a super creamy banana bread, which actually made me a little nauseous. Considering that the Bay Area has very limited places that sell the famous fruit mousse desserts, I would say that this place is pretty legit!! Service was quick, all items were pre-made and so it was pretty easy to order. The cafe itself was small, but clean and there was some seating for customers. Super clean little bakery / coffee shop. The Viet coffee is dark and very strong. The mousse, macaroons and crème brûlée are superb, taste very much like the fruit or taste they are named after. What a delicate and adorable shop. It is situated in a strip mall and features a small bright white storefront. We came for the fruit mousse cakes, but also indulged in the strawberry passionfruit and fruity cereal macarons and a matcha cake pop. Everything was excellent and our server was absolutely the nicest human in California. The star was the banana-both in flavor and texture it had the most going on. Crunchy and creamy, it was real banana flavor and delish. I appreciate the fast and friendly service and there's some indoor seating, but it was more of a grab and go place. I'd love to try their fruit cake next time! I went in here having high expectations of their cronut. I couldn't wait to try their popular cronut. I am not sure but the one I got was super dry and hard. Maybe it was a bad day but it felt way too big and heavy and the amount of dough was awful. There was a long line so I'm not sure how I got a bad one but I really was expecting a soft or chewy dough-like donut or croissant, but what I got was a total opposite. It was also very pricey for this as I was shocked how many people yelped it saying it was good. While the interior of the store is aesthetically pleasing, the cronut did not do justice. I had been trying to come to this place for weeks..... Store closes at 4pm. Finally, I made it inside and saw the awesome looking desserts I had seen on social media along with other desserts like the macarons. First of all, the desserts made to look like fruit (banana, mango, and raspberry) looked amazing. Such realistic details. The only shocking thing was the price ($12-14) for a dessert the size of a cupcake. I had always wanted to try one, so I went for the mango. Biting into it, ASMR feels were all over the place and it was out of this world. Then I came back down to earth. The flavor was more sour and flat than sweet and the mousse seemed a bit grainy as if there was too much gelatin in it. The mango flavor was pronounced, but not much of a sweet mango flavor. Overall, 6/10 Next, I went with a Earl Grey macaron ($3.50). The outer shells were black and white swirls with a tan "Earl Grey" creme. If you like Middle Eastern tea, this one was on point! The macaron had the typical chew and the creme was creamy. I just wish it was a little larger in size. Overall, 9/10. Lastly, I tried the passion fruit macaron. The texture and creme was similar to the Earl Grey, but with a passion fruit filling, which was awesome. The shell was a bright yellow with a streak of red, which made the whole thing pop. Overall, 9.5/10. Total: 24.5/30 = 81.6% (B-) I love small local bakeries and the potential they have for the community they are a part of. Fancy Flavors gets a passing grade, but barely. Kicking up the flavor profile on the mousse desserts and decreasing the price may take that B- up to an A. read more

I used to pick up orders from Jessica's house back when she had a cottage bakery. I was so excited when she opened a storefront just across from Westgate. The location is very convenient and there is always parking. Their hours are somewhat limited and can change, so it might be good to check their yelp hours before visiting. I usually stop by to grab a coffee and a few sweets. I can get a single macaron if I want something small, and recently they started selling cupcakes which are $4 each. I find this price to be reasonable, and I appreciate how the frosting is never too sweet. I've liked the lemon lavender and earl grey cupcakes. Their drinks are great - they serve Cat and Cloud coffee and they have rotating seasonal drinks, like banana matcha latte right now! In the past, I also ordered custom macarons for a bridal shower. Goodbye spiral croissants :') Happy I was able to try before they discontinued them. I guess that foodie fad is no longer in high demand anymore. According to their IG post they'll still make them if in a large order of at least 4 dozen or on a special spiral weekend. I was able to try Ube and Classic Spiral Croissants.
