Visited this cute spot in San Jose and tried a few items from their display case: Mango Mousse Cake: Looks just like a real mango and tastes so fresh and light.Passion Fruit Cake: Packed with tangy tropical flavor and topped with real seeds. Got to visit after seeing the fruit shaped cakes on tiktok! Got the banana one, 3 macarons, fudge brownie, and a cabanera cake pop. Banana shaped cake 5/5: love the crunchy exterior, interior is same as real banana and tastes like banana! Soft inside, Brownie 5/5: nice and thick and like the hard chewiness Macarons: 4/5 they have a creamier filling than most macarons but still tasty Cababera cake pop 3/5: not really cake texture, more crumbly and chalky? Not sure what it's suppose to be cos doesnt taste like cake necessarily. The service is so great!
This place was so cute! They had all kids of creative options on their drink menu as well as the normal go to options. My daughter and I both had the banana matcha latte that was recommended by the man behind the counter who helped us. I wish I got his name so I can give him the acknowledgment he deserves because not only did he take the time to find out my like in beverages and what I was in the mood for, he also was polite and chatty while making our drinks. He was informative, friendly, knew all the new specials, and showed excellent customer service. You don't find that in a lot of places anymore. They definitely have found a customer in me
We had a fantastic experience working with Jessica to create a dessert spread for our wedding! From the tasting box to the final design for the custom macarons, it was clear that she and her team took great care to ensure that the dessert items tasted and looked the best they could be. Our wedding guests snapped up all the desserts within minutes and raved about them all night long. Thank you Fancy Flavors team for helping make our dream wedding come true!
I stopped by on a Saturday evening close to 4 pm. People were still in line. Unfortunately they no longer make spiral croissants. Mango mousse cake was my favorite thing here. It looked cute, and tasted amazing. Banana matcha latte was an excellent drink. Vanilla cake with mango cream was good.
My brother-in-law got some fun desserts to celebrate my husband's birthday. They were the kind of desserts that looked like fruit, but inside were mousse. We had a banana cream, a raspberry mousse, and a mango mousse. All of them tasted really good. They were wrapped to go in really pretty containers. I highly recommend it.
We went for the sake of the TikTok craze to get the fun and beautiful fruit pastries. They were delicious and beautiful. Tasted very fresh, and the textures were on point. But even beyond the food, the service was phenomenal! The two employees were very kind, helpful and nice. I look forward to my next visit!
Considering that the Bay Area has very limited places that sell the famous fruit mousse desserts, I would say that this place is pretty legit!! Service was quick, all items were pre-made and so it was pretty easy to order. The cafe itself was small, but clean and there was some seating for customers. The mousse was so yummmyyyy but it's pretty pricy in my opinion! They are so addicting and tasty & not too sweet at all, but my only issue is that I eat them too quickly haha! I recommend if you are looking to try some new desserts!
Staff were so sweet and friendly! They made small talk while ordering and waiting and offered us dine-in utensils when we sat down to try the cakes. We came here to try the fruit shaped mousse cakes! They were $14 each. We got two of each, as well as an iced banana matcha latte and an iced americano. The total came out to $98 I was really put off by the price but they were delicious! Each of the fruit mousse cakes were pretty light, not too sweet but the flavors are so vibrant. The banana was the favorite because it tasted like banana and chocolate. The raspberry has a good balance between sweet and tart. The mango was also perfect, had a nice creaminess to it and tasted exactly like mangoes. I also really loved the banana matcha latte! It was a bit on the thicker side so I had to let it water down a bit but the banana flavor was so delicious and the matcha was strong
Beautiful works of art! So impressed with her fruit mousse. We got one of each style: banana, raspberry, and mango. I would say that each one is distinctive but the flavors were on point. Favorite was actually the banana for me. Least favorite (though their most popular seller) is the mango... the flavors just didn't hit right. Honestly, two people can split one easily. I thought the server was very engaging and welcoming. I was initially a little sticker-shocked by the prices ($13-$15each) but once you realize how much work goes into making the flavors and painting each one, it is truly dessert art. Brava!
Super clean little bakery / coffee shop. The Viet coffee is dark and very strong. The mousse, macaroons and crème brûlée are superb, taste very much like the fruit or taste they are named after. The service is very fast and efficient. One word of caution, you need to get there early if you want any mousse, that sells out very quickly.
What a delicate and adorable shop. It is situated in a strip mall and features a small bright white storefront. We came for the fruit mousse cakes, but also indulged in the strawberry passionfruit and fruity cereal macarons and a matcha cake pop. Everything was excellent and our server was absolutely the nicest human in California. The star was the banana-both in flavor and texture it had the most going on. Crunchy and creamy, it was real banana flavor and delish. The mango and raspberry were also top notch, but while the flavors were yum, the textures of the mousse and cake in side were the traditional softness with no crunchy surprise. Absolutely worth the visit!
A cute little bakery with cute artistic designs. I was in the area for work and wanted to try the viral dessert cakes. They had great flavor and creative in designs, however the prices were a bit steep for a 3 bite dessert. Was it worth exploring? Yes, because some of the flavors were on point. The raspberry was a bit over powered by a vanilla flavor but it did taste like real raspberry. The mango was also good but had similarity to the vanilla /candy shell. The banana was the best! Perfectly ripe and sweet. I just don't know if I would go out of way to get more.
Overall 2 stars due to the flavors not being good 5 stars for customer service as the staff is friendly My husband got us a few things to go from here, we wanted spiral croissants but they didn't have any; but we did get the following items: - ube chocolate cookie - it tastes just like chocolate but no ube flavor at all Banana mouse - not good flavor, it tasted like a fake banana flavor, too artificial - pistachio - artificial flavor for the pistachio was too intense - ear gray macron- super sweet and intense, artificial flavor Everything looks cute but the flavor isn't there; the customer service use is excellent read more

We tried the banana and raspberry mousse cakes. Since these are called mousse cakes, I was honestly expecting them to be much more mousse-heavy. I usually love banana-flavored desserts, but the banana one wasn't for me at all. It had cake mixed in with the mousse, and it kind of felt like eating a super creamy banana bread, which actually made me a little nauseous. The raspberry one had a pretty big piece of cake inside too. I think I would've enjoyed both much more with more mousse, less cake. We tried them, but unfortunately they just weren't for us. read more

There is plenty of parking all over the plaza. The service here was really good. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There's not much seating inside. They also sell drinks here too. There raspberry and banana mousse cakes were enjoyable and worth the hype. I liked the flavor of the ube cookie but the texture could have been better. The spiral croissants definitely live up to the hype, and the mango mousse cake and macarons were fresh, beautifully presented, and not overly sweet. This spot is super cute! They're known for their creative, Asian-inspired baked goods especially their macarons. I appreciate the fast and friendly service and there's some indoor seating, but it was more of a grab and go place. I'd love to try their fruit cake next time! The spiral croissants didn't quite meet my expectations since it tasted a bit stale. Also the other flavours I wanted like Ube and durian ran out so there was only Vanilla left. They felt a bit overhyped, but the presentation is cute. That said, if I ever needed catering, I'd definitely come here for customized macarons. I love their macarons! read more

Such a great bakeshop! I've stopped by multiple times over the last couple months and always love what I get. The service is always great too! Their baked goods are such great quality and they have fun flavors. They have the viral fruit desserts, a little pricy but delicious and worth a try. They have a couple tables and chairs inside, and lots of parking in the shopping center. (Pictures are from October so available items now may differ!) read more
I went in here having high expectations of their cronut. I couldn't wait to try their popular cronut. I am not sure but the one I got was super dry and hard. Maybe it was a bad day but it felt way too big and heavy and the amount of dough was awful. There was a long line so I'm not sure how I got a bad one but I really was expecting a soft or chewy dough-like donut or croissant, but what I got was a total opposite. It was also very pricey for this as I was shocked how many people yelped it saying it was good. While the interior of the store is aesthetically pleasing, the cronut did not do justice. I hate to say it but I've found so many great bakeries that are consistently good and they don't even have the same level of hype or price tag. read more

Fancy Flavors is a great place to get specialty desserts and unique baked goods! I love how they're always quick to produce their own version of viral goods. Recently, I visited and tried their mango and raspberry mousse cakes. I only planned to get one however the employees Cynthia and Jessica convinced me to get both. I'm so glad I did! They were absolutely gorgeous to look at and even better to eat. They were not too sweet and I liked the layering of the different elements. I would definitely come back for more! I've also had their dubai chocolate croissants when it was still available and they were so delicious. the staff here are super welcoming and are experts at their craft. would highly recommend! read more

I saw this dessert shop had the viral mango cakes and I had to stop by and try it! We ate it in the store and it was already starting to melt so I suggest eating it asap. It has a nice crunch when you bite into it and has a good mango mousse flavor. The mango fruit bits were a bit unripe and not that sweet. Maybe because it's not mango season. We also tried 3 flavors of their macarons (guava, mango passion fruit, and strawberry cheesecake). They were slightly too sweet for my liking but I still really enjoyed it! The flavors were true to their names. There was some jam inside the strawberry and mango passion fruit and it was a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. Overall, I would come back and try their other desserts if I'm ever in the area again! read more

I came to Fancy Flavors in San Jose for my birthday desserts and they were phenomenal. I got the banana, raspberry, and mango mousse cakes and every single one tasted amazing. They looked beautiful, tasted fresh, and had great flavor. Definitely one of the best dessert spots I've been to. I'll absolutely be coming back. The deserts looked and great and were well presented. Taste for us was not there. Not sure what I expected maybe more cream like? I'm not sure. They were very flavorful I would try some other items again. We will return to try the things we missed. The main reason for my review and the reason I won't post the picture is it may violate community guidelines. There was a yellow decor item next to the register with a few other decor items. This one said, "ABCDEFUCKICE" when I mentioned the decor item , the employee laughed. Personally I appreciate that we live in a place where we can express ourselves. Except my 11 year old can read and we came to enjoy snacks and treats not to see a companies personal beliefs. read more

I've been wanting to try Fancy Flavors for sooo long, I'm so glad I finally did! I went on a Saturday morning around 8:15. There was no line and service was fast and friendly. Some inside seating but mostly just a grab and go place I feel like. Everything I got was sooo incredible. You need to try the pumpkin basque cheesecake before it goes away!!! Fancy flavors bakeshop has amazing desserts that can be custom ordered! We mostly came for to try their matcha latte and it was pretty good! They use good quality matcha and has good flavor When we went though it was a little humid so was a little hot when we were waiting but overall the cashier was helpful Parking is easy as its a whole big plaza with sprouts Definitely recommend! read more
My review is only based on the viral mango and raspberry mouse cakes. I love how the desserts are not overly sweet and have the real taste of the fruit that doesn't taste artificial. The best part was biting into these flavor bombs of fruitiness. The only downside was the cost of the dessert which is $15/piece; however, I do understand the art and time of making these hence the price. Be awesome they sell out quickly so called in my order ahead of time to pay and pick up the same day which I appreciated this service. read more

Shout out to Lee for the amazing customer service. We had came in on Friday as I wanted to treat my woman to some viral desserts on her birthday. I been watching and watching and it looks amazing that we had to try it as foodies and content creators. I can't speak for everyone but "we love the mango and banana". One of my favorite spots, which is AAPI woman owned, to enjoy macarons with "fancy flavors" and other baked creations usually with Asian influences. I've dine in, ordered to go & bought a large box of all their flavors as a gift. I was excited to learn that they participate in Too Good To Go and picked up two bags, one for my cousin who adores macarons and for myself. read more

The person at the front was patient with me which was great since I couldn't decide which ones to try. I ended up getting the mango and raspberry. I loved them both. I've known and ordered from fancy flavors for a few years now. I started ordering their macarons through ig, macaron ice creams, and spiral croissants! The shop is cute and tucked away in the corner of the plaza. Fancy flavors have always been my go-to since it's closer to me. This time I went to try their banana matcha with oat milk, biscoff latte with oat milk, red velvet cupcake and mango cupcake. The banana matcha was perfect! I liked the crumble they added on top of the drink. I finished it after 30 seconds. It's one of the best one I've tried in the bay. The red velvet cupcake was moist but I wish there was more of a cream cheese taste in the icing. I got the mango cupcake for my friend and she loved it as well! Definitely coming back for the banana matcha and trying other pastries they have. read more
