Cool spot. Super busy, non stop lines too. It was pretty quick to get in and order whatever you want. They do have tables and places to sit but unfortunately it's so busy and people don't really eat and run so it's hard to find a table. You can order for there or to go which is nice. I didn't like my coffee I ordered a banana latte n not very good but my quiche was really good. I did take croissants home and bread back to Fresno and my family loved them.
After coming here two years ago, I decided to give this spot another try and I'm sad I did. Went in on a Tuesday early afternoon and it was packed but no line. We were helped and got some breads. The price has gone up significantly. The ham & cheese croissant was about $8.50 before tax and tip. It was alright. The salt bread was not good at all. I got the garlic one and it wasn't tasty and buttery like typical salt bread. The bottom had some burnt pieces as well. Edible but not the prettiest when I'm paying top dollar. We got the banana cream latte and banana cream matcha and they were both HORRIBLE. The banana cream latte was extremely bitter with no banana taste. I thought they gave me the wrong drink but on my final sip, I finally got a tiny hint of banana. The banana cream matcha was super sweet and sugary with again, no banana taste. You can also tell the matcha isn't even moderate quality. I'd definitely skip on the drinks. Not sure why but I never seem to have a good experience here. The service is just alright and cold. I still think it's annoying we have to go up twice if we ordered bread AND drinks as they come out separately. If you're sitting at a table, you're waiting for your name to be called and it's super loud inside so you're going back and forth to grab your items. I don't think it's the most efficient system. The bread wasn't good either and the drinks were horrendous. Will stay away again for a few years...
Arrived this morning around 11am and line was long out the door. Most of the pastries were out at this time, i would come closer to 12pm for the pastry refresh. They still had the croissant cube i like and tried the matcha croissant to try something new. Also ordered off their hot brunch menu, the smoked salmon avocado toast w side salad and the burrata avocado toast but partner doesnt like cheese so ordered without it, comes with side salad. Also ordered an Americano and a Banana cream latte with almond milk. Thankfully there were plenty of seating as the first half morning rush already left, but by 12pm seating became sparse. The matcha croissant outside is white chocolate with matcha powder i believe, very sweet, not a huge fan of white chocolate. Inside there is chocolate which is nice, it's a nice crossiant tho and the signs say they use french butter and chocolate. The crossiant cube was delicious as always. The coffee was okay,,, the banana cream latte is better after all the cream as mixed into the espresso. I enjoyed my smoked salmon avocado toast, they give u plenty of smoked salmon and salad, the huge tomatoes on the burrato avocado toast is very tasty, they sprinkles olive oil and pepper on top i believe. Overall pretty nice brunch everything was just under $80 which is a bit steep for brunch but this place really has the most variety pastries in one place and tho coffee isn't the best but at least they have the option as well.
If you love croissants or pretty looking desserts, this is a place worth checking out if you're in the Bay Area. I came here on a weekend so parking can be difficult and the line can get long. Luckily, the line moved somewhat quickly with plenty of staff being efficient with taking and preparing orders. There's plenty of savory and sweet pastry options. I tried the almond croissant, pepper sausage danish, mango croissant, and ham & cheese croissant. There's limited seating but you can always do takeout. FYI: No cash accepted
Food: the mango croissant and fig croissant were the best! I also tried the peach Danish, but they didn't include many peaches so it tasted more like the cream and croissant and didn't seem as special. I would like to try their strawberry croissant next time. Prices are a little high/ average for a fancy bakery, but at least everything tastes really good to make it feel worth the cost. There were a few blemishes on the croissant sometimes but it didn't affect how it tastes. The croissant sandwich was decent, but not the star of the show. I bought a matcha croissant as well and I thought it was ok, the matcha taste was pretty strong throughout, I just would like it to be more like a matcha cream filled croissant instead. Pistachio Basque cheesecake that my friend got was also ok. Probably not the best cheesecake I've had, but so so. Ambiance: large open space with tables. My friend and I were trying to get brunch at Giwa, but it was way too crowded on a Sunday afternoon so we came here instead. There was only a short wait and we found a table easily. Service: you stand in line and choose the pastries you want and can order brunch items/ drinks at the counter as well.
Great baked goods, great breakfast offerings, great coffee, very pleasant decor. For a breakfast experience, it is quite up there. We heard of this place for a while and decided to try it out with some visitors. The baked counter has intimidating large selection, our eyes wanted to order everything. We ended up with some french style baked items and a croissant tray. Of course also coffee. Everything was particularly made and delicious. We then went back to buy two big bags more to go home.
Went here on a Sunday around opening hoping not to wait too long. Even though it was raining, the place was still packed and the line overflowed to the outside. Luckily I had my umbrella, we waited in line for maybe 30mins. It was plenty of time to decide what to get. Wanted to mention, the parking was big, but still not too many open spots, didn't take long to find one though, I can imagine it getting worse on busier days. Plenty of sitting inside but with how loud it was, I would rather eat it outside tbh. There was almost too many options that it was so difficult to pick a couple to try. We ended up with pistachio croissant, almond croissant, french toast, mango croissant item, and 2 iced coffees. They heated some of our items and packed them. We waited a little bit more for the coffee but not too bad. I like the open kitchen concept and seeing the ingredients they used made me appreciate this place more. Alot of higher end baking ingredients and their ovens were so pretty. Okay time to try the stuff we got! Our top two was the almond croissant and the pistachio croissant. I was so happy that a placed named croissante had good croissants. lol The pistachio was very generous with the pistachio pastry cream, the almond was also very tasty, love the crunch on the outside. Our coffees were a bit on the sweet side but still tasty. I think I didn't like the mango croissant because it was all cold and the mango was sour, not really in season when we got it maybe that's why. Anyway I do want to try some more items, maybe on a less busy day so I can enjoy eating inside. Oh, items were pricey btw, nice little treat from time to time.
This place can get pretty crowded depending on when you go. I've noticed that if you come earlier in the morning, that's when it's the busiest since everything is fresh out of the oven, and honestly, who doesn't want to start their day with fresh-baked pastries? That said, they're constantly restocking, and the staff has a well-oiled system down. Even when it's busy, things move surprisingly efficiently. PASTRIES/BAKED GOODS: 9/10 I love their pastries and baked goods! I honestly haven't had anything that was a miss for me, whether it's savory or sweet. Everything I've tried has been delicious. FOOD/MEALS: 8/10 As for their meals, I thought they were good, but not quite as memorable as the pastries. I ordered the avocado toast, and while it was hearty and generously loaded, I felt like there was just a little too much going on. Both the salad and the toast were dressed a bit too heavily for my taste. COFFEE: 8/10 I also really enjoy their coffee. My go-to is the Latte Einspänner, and it pairs perfectly with their pastries. You can really taste the quality of the espresso, and I appreciate that it's not overly sweet. SERVICE: 9/10 The staff is quick, efficient, and constantly on the move. As I mentioned, they run like a well-oiled machine, even during the morning rush. AMBIANCE: 8/10 Seats fill up fast! If you're planning to dine in and you spot an open table, have someone in your group grab it while the other orders; tag-team it, lol. I also love the overall aesthetic. The wooden tables, sky blue and yellow color palette, and bright space make it feel warm and inviting. And of course, the giant glass displays packed with beautiful pastries are hard to resist; they're practically part of the décor!
Wish I could give this 4.5 stars! We went down the line and started with the ham and cheese croissant with their homemade sauce. They warm it up, and it was by far my favorite thing I tried- so gooey and delicious. Definitely a must-order! Next was the Kouign Amann, their #3 best seller. It was good, but honestly didn't wow me. We also tried the Everything Salt & Butter Roll, which was tasty, but after that ham and cheese croissant, it was hard to top. We also ordered the egg and bacon croissant from the menu. Made-to-order menu items take a little longer, so be prepared to wait. I don't think I'd order off the menu again as the counter is plenty good on its own. My family tried several of the other goodies and was really happy we made this new stop. All of the drinks we ordered were great, although they did take a little time. We went on a busy Saturday morning, and the line was long with seating pretty packed, but it was great to see the place thriving. We'll definitely be back- probably on a weekday when it's a little less hectic!
My friend and I came here for breakfast. This has been on my friend's list to try and i am so glad we did because it was delicious. You line up, pick your pastries and order your food if you are eating in and then pay at the counter. Then, they will deliver the food to your table. For breakfast I got the Eggwing toast ham which comes with honey butter toast, egg, ham, lettuce and tomato. That was so good!! I devoured it. I also got Latte with beautiful art. Again, I love it! It was a perfect combo. My friend got the chicken and croffle. She loved it. She said the chicken is most and perfectly seasoned. I took home, almond croissant, salt breads (garlic, chocolate and truffles), toast box, and ham & cheese croissant. Everything was delicious! My daughter loves salt bread and our favorite is the chocolate. She is asking for it already. My husband, sliced the toast box and toasted it, added condensed milk (oh lord! That was the bomb). We'll for sure be back when I am in the area.
The new organic carrots with Jambon-Beurre was a very disappointing presentation. There are like 5-6 half cooked humongous family of carrots that looked unwashed you could actually see the muddy filthy roots drizzled with olive oil and pepper and alongside is the Jambon-Beurre and a separate sliced baguette. See picture below . It wasn't worth $20. I was imagining baby organic carrots and was so surprised to see it so big. Croissante , you can do a lot better than this.
I came here because I had heard a lot about this spot from social media. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype for me. I would say the baked goods looked better than they tasted. It wasn't that they were bad but they just weren't great. I wouldn't drive all the way there just to have it. There's plenty of parking and there was always a line for the entire time that I dined there. The line moves fast though. I had the mango croissant, strawberry croissant, pan au chocolat and the mushroom pesto focaccia. I liked that the cream in the mango and strawberry croissant was not too sweet. The fruits weren't sweet though so it didn't feel premium enough for the price. The mushroom pesto focaccia didn't have enough flavor from the pesto. It was my least favorite item of the lot. They so have restrooms but I wish they were maintained better and cleaner.
I was craving croissants and my husband offered to purchase them at any bakery of my choice. Since I hadn't tried this place yet, I decided to send him here. I reviewed the Yelp pics and wrote him a list of pastries I wanted to try (croissants, kouign amann and salt & butter rolls). Unfortunately, when he arrived, only croissants were available. I thought the croissants were just okay. The exterior wasn't as crispy as I preferred and the inside wasn't as buttery as I had hoped. However, I did enjoy the ham & cheese croissant. I love saucy food and there was a layer of mayonnaise in the pastry.

An absolute paradise for croissant lovers! The variety here is incredible, with a huge selection of both sweet and savory croissants that makes it almost impossible to choose! Everything looks so fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. The croissants are absolutely delightful, and the coffee is a perfect complement. We especially loved triple chocolate, almond pan au chocolat and raspberry chocolate croissants. The service was excellent, friendly, and impressively fast, even with how busy the place was. The indoor space felt a little crowded, but honestly, it was completely worth it! Such a wonderful bakery with an amazing selection and a lively atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit and a place I would happily return to! read more

I have wanted to check out Croissante- finally visited with my husband. The almond kouign amann was delicious so crispy, not too sweet. The regular croissant was very light and flakey. Looking forward to going back to try other things. read more
They were out of the 72 layer french toast. - 5/5: The plain croissant $5.10 is great; nice moist buttery interior, not mealy. Must heat it up in a toaster oven. - 5/5: St Honore cake $13; The mini cream puffs have a crackly-crisp hard caramel coating. - 3/5: double shot of espresso is average. read more
Super underwhelming if you have to wait in line. There's nothing special about the pastries they serve and it's definitely not worth waiting in a line that goes out the door. Nothing wrong with it at all and maybe we didn't get the right things, but will try our best to target less-busy times to come. On the bright side, their coffee is really solid! read more
First time ordering from their brunch menu today and my spicy chicken burger was surprisingly very tasty. There was a line when we visited at 10am, but it moved quickly and service was also friendly. I think it's a great spot for casual brunch and catching up with a friend. Also, definitely made sure to grab some of their pastries for togo! read more
3.5 rounded up to 4! Been a few times now.. First time, I ordered: salt and butter roll $5 ea salt and butter garlic $5.30 almont croissant $6.30 Definitely a large spread and variety of items. Earlier you go, the higher chance for salt bread, but they do have certain times that they bake it. Why there's a line: they have only one cashier taking everyone's order and they bag the items one by one. Definitely could be more efficient, but is also the appeal to give them a try. Decent amount of seating inside. Parking is relatively available in the lot. read more
Croissante has become a south bay staple in pastries galore. The pastry ordering window is a little overwhelming because they're so many delicious things, make sure you scope out the entire line of options before you end up ordering way too much. Depending on the time, it can get quite crowded. I came in around 9:30am and by the time I got to checkout, the baristas ran out of dine-in mugs. Which is why I opted for an iced americano. It had a nice creama layer and a well balanced flavor. Not too acidic or bitter. I got the french onion soup, labeled as a popular item/staple of the bakery. It is quite a lot of soup, I wish it came with a side of bread/sourdough as towards the end it was all soup and nothing to contrast it. It was nicely broiled at the top with some small pieces of bread and a healthy layer of cheese that made it so exciting to eat. Even the crust of the bread had some crunch although fully soaked. The bakery has wifi which is really handy since I think reception in that area wasn't the best. Wifi password is displayed at the register. I will come back to try the sandwiches! read more
I first came here at their soft opening last year. At the time I was not too impressed. Their coffee was the best, but the pastries were only good. Since then they have settled down and got things together. This should have been a five-star review, but . . . I am impressed by their unique pastry offerings. Today we ordered a Matcha Chocolat, a Pastrami Suisse (sorry, no photo - my wife devoured it before I could get a picture of it ...), a Burrata Avocado Toast, French Onion Soup (again, no photo), and an Americano. First of all, the coffee was superb! Great espresso flavor and aroma, but not astringently bitter. It really complimented the Matcha Chocolat's sweetness, even though, in my opinion, matcha tea and chocolate really do not go well together - this combination worked! The French Onion Soup was fabulous! Great aroma, and the sweet onion flavor was so delightful. This alone would be satisfying. And it is one of these rare instances where one would not want to have anything else that would ruin the state of bliss. That being stated, it did pair with the Pastrami Suisse, and together they complimented each other so well. What did not work well was the Burrata Avocado Toast. I have to say that this did not impress me at all, except for presentation (it looked nice!). The toast was soggy and the crust ultra hard. There was more mozzarella cheese than avocado (could not even taste the avocado . . .). What shined, however, was not the actually avocado toast, but the accompanying salad. Tasty! Unusual, however, in that I could taste the greens, the tomatoes, and the radishes - the dressing was not overpowering as I find to often with many restaurants. I found this salad to be quite refreshing! Now, if they can work on that toast . . . I am pleased that they have found their footing here. I highly recommend their pastries and coffee. However, they will need to reevaluate and work on their avocado toast. read more

We went to Crossiante to celebrate my grandma's birthday with tea time! When I walked in, I was surprised to see how many people were still buying pastries in the afternoon. We checked in and were seated right away, and the setup was absolutely beautiful! They brought out our tea first, which we enjoyed while waiting for the pastry tower to arrive. Once it came out, they told us to eat from top to bottom, so that's exactly what we did! Each bite was delicious, everything tasted freshly baked and made, and I especially loved that the pastries weren't overly sweet. Although we enjoyed eating the tower from top to bottom, next time we would probably go from bottom to top since we like to save our sweets for last! Of course, we couldn't leave without getting more pastries to bring home. They have plenty of classic pastries, like croissants, along with more unique specialties, like their croissant cube. Everything looked and tasted so fresh, with that perfect flaky, crackly texture. The pastries are a little pricey for bakery items, but in my opinion, they're definitely worth it for the quality and freshness. Overall, we had such a lovely time celebrating my grandma's birthday here and would definitely come back for more pastries! read more
Came by for some dessert the other day and it was a mediocre experience. After spending time in Paris last month, I was surprised that I hadn't run into a Saint Honore at local bakeries. Staff were wearing uniforms matching the bakery colors although the bakery seemed grimey including fog on the mirrors and windows. ...maybe it's cultural? The Saint Honore seems a touch off. The base was a crispy flaky cookie topped with some flavorful whipped cream along with several cream puffs. Pricing was premium at $12.5 for an individual pastry. Packaging was excellent, including a nice paper box along with a paper bag for a single pastry. read more

This place wasn't too shabby. 2 out of 3 items were solid. Let's get into it. Pastrami Suisse I liked this one, but not so much when it had been sitting out for a while. It was definitely room temperature, the cheese wasn't fully melted, and the pastrami was slightly cold. I eventually asked the helpers up front to warm it up, and it tasted a lot better afterward. The melted cheese and softer bread made a noticeable difference. The pastrami itself was good, just a little salty. Ham and Cheese Croissant This was a solid one too. I also asked them to warm this one up. The ham had a slightly sweet flavor that gave the sandwich a nice overall taste, while the melted cheese helped balance it out. Add in the light buttery flavor from the croissant, and it was a nice combination. I've definitely had better croissants, though. White Chocolate Matcha Scone Yeahhh, y'all can skip this one. I didn't taste the matcha at all. The white chocolate was sorta there, but the scone itself was pretty bland and dry. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some of their other items. They have a pretty large selection, so it's gonna take a minute to try everything. read more

When we're in the area, this is our go to stop for pastries! Everything tastes as good as it looks! During this visit my son ordered a triple chocolate croissant and I got a ham & cheese croissant with a banana latte! These were perfect snacks for a park day, along with an hour bike ride! The service was great & although there was a line (thankfully not out the door this time), the wait wasn't too long and the workers work very efficiently & smoothly! There is tons of parking & again- the pastries are on point- not too buttery and they're flaky & moist! Will definitely be back! read more
Came here a while back. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the place was busyyy. The line to order had a steady pace, and the dining area remained full. We ordered several breads and pastries to go. Of course the quality and taste is amazing, as expected.. but my favorite thing I tried was their cube croissant French toast. It tasted sweet, a little like Asian honey toast but with that egg custard flavor as well. It was deliciousss. Very aesthetic pastries and a huge selection. Didn't love the classic croissants. The good: - Aesthetic. The branding and packaging is on point. Everything is super cute and coordinated, and pastries are presented beautifully. - Selection. Filled croissants, cubes, loafs, sweet, savory, anything you can think of and a lot you could never dream up - they have it all The not so good: - The setup. The pastry case goes all the way along the line until the cashier, so you have to order your pastries before seeing everything that's available, or you have to squeeze ahead through people to peek at the other pastries which feels flustering. By the time I got to the cashier, additional pastries had come out that I missed out on. - lack of crisp. Classic croissant and pain au chocolat (and every type of viennoiserie I tried) had nice structure, but zero crisp. Everything was just soft on soft. Let's start with how to find the place- n the Bank of America plaza. Look for the mustard yellow building next to the Bay Spa and Eye Boutique Optometry Crossiante is open during the following days and times listed on their door: M-Th 7:30-5:30 Fri- Sat 7-6 Though we got there on a Sunday and they were open so yay for us. The sign also says No Cash Accepted, No dogs or pets in other. But of course service dogs are welcomed. The open floor plan makes the place look spacious with about ten small circle tables and two long tables with a small counter space right at the entrance for a single quiet breakfast and large groups as well. It is an open first come first seat set up. Menus are located once you come in for drinks and brunch items. Surely will have to take advantage of their array of brunch items at the next visit. Looks promising. Even the fresh squeezed orange juice looked refreshing. This trip only allowed for pastry grab and go before hopping on the plane. I would've liked the pastries to fit into a box but they came in their own paper sleeves and into the paper bag with handles. Missed the mark there for all that effort. I should have kept this as a secret, but I'm the one to spread kindness and pay it forward. A few months ago, I had my first bite of an actual croissant while visiting France. Since then, I never looked back after Costco croissants. Im welcoming you to Croissante Bakery! It's located in Santa Clara and I remember going there for their soft opening. I went around 9 am on a weekday and the line was nearly out the door. It smelled so good when I walked in! They have straight up authentic artisanal pastries and breads. Good selection, but limited depending on the time and day. Love how fresh the pastries are and the crispiness. I tried the blueberry hazelnut chocolate croissant and loved the blueberry infused filling with the chocolate. It makes so well together. Tried a bunch of stuff at Croissante the other day: Kouign Amann, matcha pain suisse au chocolat, chicken spinach & cheese croissant, mango croissant, white chocolate matcha scone, and the chocolate covered salt bread (yeah we went a little overboard lol). Favorite by far was the white chocolate matcha scone. Not too sweet at all which I liked, and you can actually taste the matcha instead of it just being sugary. Would 100% get that again. Mango croissant was prob my second favorite, kinda refreshing in a way I didn't expect from a pastry? Kouign Amann and the matcha pain suisse were solid, nothing crazy but good. Chocolate covered salt bread was interesting... not bad just not something I'd go out of my way for again. Least favorite was the chicken spinach & cheese croissant. Was hoping for a good savory option but the spinach and cheese combo tasted a little off? not sure how to explain it, just kinda funky and didn't sit right with me. Overall pretty mixed but def some standouts. Would come back mainly for that scone tbh. read more

We don’t offer gluten-free croissants, but all of our croissants are made with 100% label rouge (premium) French flour.

Is there a gluten free selection?
No BUT French flour is very different than American and if you are gluten sensitive with American products it doesn't mean that you will necessarily feel the same. I have multiple employees that eat gluten free and they ate croissante pastries…

As far as I know, most of their lean breads (like the ones you were questioning) do not contain dairy. I know there are lean breads with a dairy filling or inclusion.
Is there any croissant without eggs?
Unfortunately, all croissants have eggs in them .
Are there still lines first thing in the morning?
Yes I went there even at 930am and there was still a line. I went another day around 2pm and no line outside but still wait inside.
