Cute little place, it got packed rather quickly. Staff were very nice. Menu items all looked delicious. We went with Tabby Latte and strawberry Matcha. We weren't aware of the to go policy of BYOC or paying for the reusable but like that concept. The latte was very creamy and stayed pretty warm in the mason jar. Will come back to try other drink items.

Following a big heavy hotpot meal, my partner and I were looking for a good matcha spot to pick us back up. We stumbled upon this little cafe on google maps and decided to give it a try. This place is such a hidden gem. They strive for sustainability, so they only use glass containers(which definitely makes it pretty expensive), but you can also bring your own container as well. The matcha itself is decent. Not as creamylicious as I would hope, but definitely not terrible and it is such a cute little set up.

This unassuming matcha shop within Joyheart Cafe was such a great find! I ordered the Hoji-Matcha latte. With the first sip, I could instantly taste the quality and surprisingly bold flavor of the matcha. The sweetness was subtle and perfectly balanced out the drink. This is a must try if you're in the area! There's also a small grocery area at the back of the shop, with some cute Taiwanese snacks and goodies. Overall, a great experience.

Cute cafe tucked away inside Heartland next to Joyheart Cafe. If you are dining at Joyheart, you can ask your drinks to be brought to you to your table! Got the Hoji-Matcha Latte (Oat) with Sesame Kinako Cream Top. I believe their cream top may change seasonally. It was the latte ($7) with cream top ($1). The "for here" cup with straw is a great idea and love the to-go options available (BYOC or purchase), which is reusable. You can also get almond or soy as other "dairy" options. Highly recommend especially when dining at Joyheart!

Ordered some teas and were delighted by them. Extra charges for to-go cups. Nice service amid a shared market space. We ordered a matcha latte and an Earl grey latte. Though it took time for the drinks, we wandered the market and were happy with our order.

The Orange Tabby is a tea place inside of the Joyheart Cafe. The parking isn't too bad during peak hours. Very friendly and welcoming service. If takeout, they are environmentally minded and provide two options. See pic. Strawberry Matcha Latte - i like a stronger strawberry puree but this was decent Support your local business.

Amazing service and great quality matcha! My co workers and I don't work too far so we drove down one day during lunch time and shockingly we were the only ones there. Orange Tabby is located in Joyheart cafe which also has a restaurant and convenient store located inside of it. The ambience is cute and the employees are very nice. While waiting for my drink, I walked around the little convenient store area and even bought a very delicious jam. We all ended up getting the strawberry matcha and it was amazing! Beware, if you are ordering to go you either have to bring your own cup or buy a mason jar or glass jar with a lid, which is another $2-$4 more. I opted for the mason jar as I can reuse it at home and bring it back for a discount on my next purchase. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and effort to go zero waste so I don't mind paying extra at all! Highly recommend trying it out! Next time I go I'll try the food as well.

I looked this place up on Yelp to check out the reviews and photos before deciding to meet a friend here for a hangout, so I knew what I was getting into upon arrival. If I hadn't I think I would have been a little confused walking into this place. The Orange Tabby doesn't have a large sign up anywhere that says "Orange Tabby" or anything inside or outside - it's connected/part of the Joyheart Cafe and the Heartland store which is a small organic Chinese specialty grocery store. When we arrived, we weren't quite sure where the line for ordering was as there was 1 party of about 5 people all crowded at the ordering counter and two ways to get to the counter - one right next to some booths, and another right through a narrow walkway (which is about wide enough for one person). I had my pallet set on the Tabby Latte, but I got to the counter and saw that they had a special Winter menu. I was so tempted by it because they had some chocolate drink (wish I could remember it) which sounded amazing, but I was really in the mood for the warmth of some cinnamon, so I stuck to my original plan and ordered the Tabby Latte, 25% sweet, hot, and in my own cup. No regrets! They brought our drinks to our table when they were ready and I could smell the cinnamon-ey goodness. It was exactly what I expected and hit the spot. Friendly service, plenty of seating, delicious drink - it was a great visit!

House matcha latte (iced) with black sesame foam

My rating would be a 3.75. The Orange Tabby is an adorable and unique organic market + cafe where they serve a limited selection of food and beverages. I tried their house matcha latte with added sesame foam and their tabby latte. I've been a matcha fiend lately and I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed with my drink, it was too watery for me and the oat milk overpowered the drink. The tabby latte on the other hand was pretty good and I would recommend it. Overall friendly vibes and as everyone mentioned already, they are very eco friendly. PS: they also sell different brands of matcha powder here (call to see what they have in stock)

    house matcha latte (for here)

Had a few friends recommend the place for matcha, so I had to try! I am not a big matcha connoisseur, but I generally like the taste. I tried the House Matcha Latte with oat milk. My friend got the hoji-matcha latte. On a quick side note, the milk options at this cafe are limited to oat, almond, and soy; no whole/real milk. But this worked perfectly as I preferred an alternative milk! We ordered for "here" and the drinks came out in very cute glass cups and glass straws. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The seating around the cafe was also quite intriguing. There were Labubu dolls placed in glass cases on the tables, with small placards of their owners and why they were donated to be put on display. (I am not big on these things, but it was definitely interesting HAHA). The tables were clean and tidy. While waiting for your drink, you can also walk around the little market, holding more obscure ingredients, seasonings, and tea. Overall, the place is very quiet and chill, great for studying and enjoying your latte at. I have to say, despite not knowing the difference between most matcha quality, I was pretty surprised by how good that tasted! I would definitely come back and order the House Matcha Latte. My friend also enjoyed the Hoji-Matcha Latte, saying that the quality was super good.

Pink Coconut Matcha w/ Einspanner cream top & House Matcha Latte
    Amia A.

I absolutely love The Orange Tabby! Their Pink Coconut Matcha is incredibly refreshing, and the Einspanner cream top adds the perfect smooth, velvety touch. Every visit feels special because the service is always so warm and welcoming. The interior has such a charming vibe it feels like stumbling upon a cute pop-up coffee shop tucked inside a market. It's such a cozy little gem, and I can't recommend it enough!

It was a little difficult finding the place, but it wasn't too bad. It's located in a mini market, cafe, and connected to a temple. Be careful when walking in, especially at the register, because there's a step that I almost fell from. Good thing I caught myself! They are environmentally friendly, and encourage you to bring your own reusable cup to make your drinks in! They also offer reusable cups with a $2 charge, but you do get your $2 back if you return the cup! Matcha Latte(7/10): I asked for soy and I think I got whole milk instead. I don't mind it as much because I didn't want to bother the worker too much. The matcha tasted watered down, but they explained that they're still trying to figure out the ratio. They are open to criticism and are open to improving their drinks which is great! I think next time I would order it a little sweeter. Service(10/10): It was our first time there and the worker was very patient with us. They helped us out with deciding on what to get, and even gave their recommendations. They really took the time to explain their cafe and the purpose of using reusable cups! It really shows how passionate they are about the environment and their place! The worker also gave us some stickers and gave us a little history of how the cafe came to be! Overall, I'll come again to try their other drinks!

    kim d.

One of my absolute favorite places to get matcha & study! Hidden gem using Minor figures oat milk (the best type of oat milk), with an insane matcha to milk ratio that keeps matcha at the forefront of the flavor. Sydney is incredible and extremely passionate about ensuring great quality at Orange Tabby is the standard. Definitely not your typical dessert matcha, but an amazing place if you want to try different types and notes of matcha. I'm a huge fan of the sustainability aspect of Orange Tabby and greatly respect the initiative! If you want to learn about matcha, try different notes and regions of matcha powders, and even purchase matcha powders, Orange Tabby is the place to go! My absolute favorite place in the Bay! ‍

While visiting San Jose, I came across this coffee shop and I'm really glad I did. The coffee…read morequality was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the pastries were absolutely delicious. The shop itself is a bit small, so it may not be the easiest place to study for long periods, but it has a great atmosphere, good vibes, and a very welcoming environment. The outdoor seating was a huge plus, especially with nice weather -- it's the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy your coffee. Parking in the area can be a little tricky and it is paid parking, but that's pretty common for most downtown areas. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for quality coffee and a nice atmosphere.

The banana cream felt lacking as well. Even after mixing the cream top with the matcha, it felt unsatisfying and not enough banana flavor. I do like how the overall drink isn't overly sweet and the texture of the cream was nice. It was fairly crowded on a Thursday morning but the line to order moves quick. My drink took about 15 minutes to come out. Maybe it was just an off day? But I had higher expectations for their banana cream matcha.

Jovanna has such an amazingly kind and effervescent personality. Seeing the staff really brightens my day before I even have my first sip of coffee! Gabbie is super fun to chat with and knowledgeable, too. Literally everyone, from top to bottom, is a nice person who's passionate about the fine drinks they produce. It really warms my heart when people show a great amount of care and respect for their craft. I was a coffee noob a few months ago, and have received an amazing education from the team. I really just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you! Keep doing right by your customers and your products. 5/5, no notes! P.S. The Guatemala-origin coffee is crazy amazing. I've gone through pounds of the stuff. On a serendipitous day a few weeks ago, I even got to meet the grower who was in town visiting the Park Ave location. Where else can you find that type of commitment to excellence?!
