Brown Sugar Hojicha and Strawberry Matcha
    Milena N.

Been meaning to review this cute cafe for a while now! I was looking for cafes to journal and read books with my friends and randomly found this place on Google Maps. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is located inside of Joyheart Cafe and has free WiFi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees were so friendly and explained the seating situation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are several very large tables we can sit at, but the booths are reserved for Joyheart Cafe dine-in customers, which makes sense.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Brown Sugar Hojicha Latte and my friend got the Strawberry Matcha Latte. The drinks were served in medium size glasses with glass straws as part of their commitment to no plastic. I believe you have to pay for a mason jar if you order drinks to go. My friend and I both really enjoyed the refreshing drinks and would definitely come here again to hang out!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Orange Tabby is a cozy, low-key spot that does a few things really well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It focuses on high-quality matcha, hojicha, and espresso drinks, and that focus shows in every cup. Everything feels intentional. The drinks are smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. Whether you're getting a matcha or an espresso, the quality stands out right away. I also appreciate that they encourage bringing a reusable cup. It fits the whole vibe of the place, thoughtful, minimal, and community-oriented. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is small but super inviting. It's perfect for a quiet coffee run or a relaxed catch-up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No tips expected. They bring you your craft drink. Service +! If you're looking for a full food menu, this isn't that kind of café, but if you want really well-crafted drinks in a cozy setting, this place delivers.

This unassuming matcha shop within Joyheart Cafe was such a great find! I ordered the Hoji-Matcha latte. With the first sip, I could instantly taste the quality and surprisingly bold flavor of the matcha. The sweetness was subtle and perfectly balanced out the drink. This is a must try if you're in the area! There's also a small grocery area at the back of the shop, with some cute Taiwanese snacks and goodies. Overall, a great experience.

Discovered The Orange Tabby, a conscious cafe serving high quality premium matcha drinks, specialty lattes and desserts. They are located in Joyheart Cafe. I tried their Strawberry Matcha with Einspanner cream and The Tabby Latte - both drinks were excellent. They are all vegan cafe, so I was even more excited to try their Einspanner cream, which was delicious. As a conscious cafe, I love their bring your own cup or buy reusable cup option. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating, great vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Give it a try!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute cafe tucked away inside Heartland next to Joyheart Cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are dining at Joyheart, you can ask your drinks to be brought to you to your table! Got the Hoji-Matcha Latte (Oat) with Sesame Kinako Cream Top. I believe their cream top may change seasonally. It was the latte ($7) with cream top ($1). The "for here" cup with straw is a great idea and love the to-go options available (BYOC or purchase), which is reusable. You can also get almond or soy as other "dairy" options. Highly recommend especially when dining at Joyheart!

This is truly a hidden gem! I stopped by here for the sakura matcha and it is nestled in a business complex. I believe it is a pop up. I'm so glad I was able to try the matcha and it came in a cute little to go mason jar. Hightly recommend!

The Orange Tabby is a tea place inside of the Joyheart Cafe. The parking isn't too bad during peak hours. Very friendly and welcoming service. If takeout, they are environmentally minded and provide two options. See pic. Strawberry Matcha Latte - i like a stronger strawberry puree but this was decent Support your local business.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little place, it got packed rather quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were very nice. Menu items all looked delicious. We went with Tabby Latte and strawberry Matcha. We weren't aware of the to go policy of BYOC or paying for the reusable but like that concept. The latte was very creamy and stayed pretty warm in the mason jar. Will come back to try other drink items.

    Matcha and Earl Grey Lattes

Ordered some teas and were delighted by them. Extra charges for to-go cups. Nice service amid a shared market space. We ordered a matcha latte and an Earl grey latte. Though it took time for the drinks, we wandered the market and were happy with our order.

Very underrated!! This is a cafe inside a store. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have some weird hours but honestly its really worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the house matcha latte with oat milk (first time trying oat milk) and it turned out to be so smooth and nice. The sugar was also perfect and this is one of the best matchas I've ever had. Also one thing to keep in mind: they try to be eco friendly so they use reusable cups if you are dining in and charge for cups if you want to-go, or you can just bring your own!

Amazing service and great quality matcha! My co workers and I don't work too far so we drove down one day during lunch time and shockingly we were the only ones there. Orange Tabby is located in Joyheart cafe which also has a restaurant and convenient store located inside of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is cute and the employees are very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While waiting for my drink, I walked around the little convenient store area and even bought a very delicious jam.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We all ended up getting the strawberry matcha and it was amazing! Beware, if you are ordering to go you either have to bring your own cup or buy a mason jar or glass jar with a lid, which is another $2-$4 more. I opted for the mason jar as I can reuse it at home and bring it back for a discount on my next purchase. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and effort to go zero waste so I don't mind paying extra at all! Highly recommend trying it out! Next time I go I'll try the food as well.

The Orange Tabby Latte in my own special cup from home

I looked this place up on Yelp to check out the reviews and photos before deciding to meet a friend here for a hangout, so I knew what I was getting into upon arrival. If I hadn't I think I would have been a little confused walking into this place. The Orange Tabby doesn't have a large sign up anywhere that says "Orange Tabby" or anything inside or outside - it's connected/part of the Joyheart Cafe and the Heartland store which is a small organic Chinese specialty grocery store. When we arrived, we weren't quite sure where the line for ordering was as there was 1 party of about 5 people all crowded at the ordering counter and two ways to get to the counter - one right next to some booths, and another right through a narrow walkway (which is about wide enough for one person). I had my pallet set on the Tabby Latte, but I got to the counter and saw that they had a special Winter menu. I was so tempted by it because they had some chocolate drink (wish I could remember it) which sounded amazing, but I was really in the mood for the warmth of some cinnamon, so I stuck to my original plan and ordered the Tabby Latte, 25% sweet, hot, and in my own cup. No regrets! They brought our drinks to our table when they were ready and I could smell the cinnamon-ey goodness. It was exactly what I expected and hit the spot. Friendly service, plenty of seating, delicious drink - it was a great visit!

Following a big heavy hotpot meal, my partner and I were looking for a good matcha spot to pick us back up. We stumbled upon this little cafe on google maps and decided to give it a try. This place is such a hidden gem. They strive for sustainability, so they only use glass containers(which definitely makes it pretty expensive), but you can also bring your own container as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The matcha itself is decent. Not as creamylicious as I would hope, but definitely not terrible and it is such a cute little set up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A simple, clean and smooth process. I've gone to this store front when it first opened and I haven't gone back since. When they first opened the quality of the drinks were not as great due to how impacted and busy they were as any other "new business" opening in the Bay Area. The flavors were very chalky and unbalanced. Going back to it now months/year(s?) later I can definitely taste the difference in flavor, depth and quality put into it. I'm not a big fan of matcha but when I do want a cup the Guava matcha is my #1. The guava matcha has been one of my favorite go to's ever since I've tried Haiku's pop up in their earlier days. It is different and unique compared to the classic strawberry matchas. I am happy to know that I can always rely on them as my go to for matcha lattes. The matcha flavor is deep and rich while the guava is nice and subtle. Mixing the two together it tastes very harmonious while not over powering one another.

I've come here on about two occasions, and the Black Sesame Latte is one of the best I've ever had. Its flavors are not overly sweet, and you can taste the quality of their coffee and ingredients. The place itself is small, so it's not the best place to get work done, but as a grab-and-go drink spot, it works. Parking is available on the street outside the building and inside of a parking garage nearby. Orders are taken on a self-serve kiosk. The second time I came around 9AM, they were completely out of the Black Sesame, which I found odd-make sure you have a backup plan in mind if they run out of stock! I'll definitely be coming back soon to get my coffee fix!
